First week back. Pandora had mixed feeling for several reasons. First off, she only had two more years after this in which to establish herself with safety and any con artist old or new understood the risk went higher as the con went long. She had survived four years of it now which was good, but meant the worst was still to come. Also, she had a contract to think about, even if only long term and it might not go through, but if she didn't break the story the gossip would certainly get it wrong in the one way she disliked. Better for her to have the spin on it from the start. And with that in mind she had told all her closer friends to save them from hearing it from another. Still once it was finished it would be in the paper; the notice that her contract was up being removed would be enough to cause someone to notice.
There were dozens of little nosy people who followed the names like a betting game and seeing one removed from the open 'market' would certainly get tongues a wagging; if they had a connection at school the word would spread to get more information. She hated gossip, but she listened when it was passed around. That really was the only way to stay ahead on some things. Another part was getting to see the few friends she had and make more; that was the better part of the social scene at the school. And finally came a chance to learn more, to find more footing in the magic that she had at her fingertips, expand her skills. She felt special even here knowing that those who knew her former life more then a few thousand miles away would never comprehend how much she had out shown them already. A secret smile for that alone triumph which she held near and dear to her heart.
Most of the first day back had meant getting settled, finding your place again, seeing people and the general chaos of students everywhere. Pandora actually enjoyed school and the chances it gave her, but she had never objected to learning. She had the impression that even in a school with so many wonders, some took them for common place not having her background of muggle experiences. Those were the ones she kept an eye out for the most, though assured that any pureblood contract she made had given her a sort of assurance of less messing with them. A pure making eyes at anyone of another type of blood however got more attention on them from certain students. Some of whom had no problem with turning up the heat.
It had happened at the lunch table. She had been sitting on the side listening to the conversation and eating, listening to summer adventures and the greatest books that had been found in new places when she felt eyes on her. A glance up meant to be casual had locked eyes on ones that seemed very different and yet...familiar at the same time. It had taken her a few moments to realize the other was a Slytherin and therefore one to be wary of, but the familiarity stuck with her. Shaken, for she had not felt anyone around her felt that familiar before, she had been halfway to the dorm when she had come around the corner and seen her up close. Sucking in a breath as the other spoke to her, they had agreed to meet in the Library later. Still feeling like something very odd was happening, she had made it to the dorm without further incident and changed her books out in her bag for the ones she had homework in.
Now she was stepping in through the doors and making her way to a table, right smack in the middle of the room and thus easily under the eye of the Librarian just in case. Did they know each other? Or was there some knowledge she was missing? Did she also know the man who had been her teacher in the con? Pandora sat down with her back to the Librarian, the spaces on her left across and on her right open, wondering what was about to happen and how much of a game she was playing now. For all the familiarity in it, she had not yet realized it was familiar because it was another not comfortable in their own skin, playing a con...

After the first week chaos at this Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Rain Xanthopoulos started to feel like she could survive this journey at this foreign school after all. Having been in coma the last five years, or so she was told, Rainnie couldn't remember the time she spent in bed clearly. If it was as long as she was told, it felt like yesterday to her when she was still up and running down the halls and laughing at the jokes her adopted brother told. Life was so easy before that spell went wrong and mess up her life.
The time she lost didn't concern her much, those muddled memories might clear up or they would not, dwelling on them won't help at all. Losing the last five years had made Rain wants to treasure time which she has now, to do things she wanted to do, like focusing on all those she has yet to learn, making up to those missing years she has not attend school, spells she should've known a long time ago and yet she doesn't know. Surprisingly though, the girl was catching up fast, she was catching up really fast that it even surprises the professors teaching the lessons.
That afternoon was just like any other she has gotten used to, surrounded by the boys and girls she doesn't know. Sometimes Rain felt like she has done this before, being in a school, although she couldn't be, the fact that she has been in coma the last 5 years said as much about how impossible this is, then why is the sense of deja vu keep clinging to her like going to school is nothing unfamiliar? She wishes Raphael is with her, if only they could be in the same house, it would be nice to have a familiar face among the crowd of strangers who, while not mean to her, they aren't exactly who Rain would call her close friends either.
Small smile on her face and pleasant comments were given to the girl who asked her a question, Rain reached out to pick herself a steak from the plate. When she was just looking up she found herself looking at a foreign face, a girl from Ravenclaw, why is she looking at her? The eye contact was soon broken, it was long enough to make it not a casual stare. That put a frown on her youthful face as she stared at the back of the other girl's brown hair. Self-consciously, Rain reached up a hand to wipe her face, just in case, she hasn't anything sticking on her face, no. Lifting her eyes again to search for that pair of eyes among the crowd in black and blue, her frown deepened when she couldn't find them again this time.
The rest of her lunch time just passed by with the girl puzzling over the little encounter a moment ago, and once she finished, the girl stood to leave the table for a quieter environment, she isn't too big a fan of socialization, especially among the crown of unknown faces she wasn't sure who to trust yet. Who should she trust, when you've just woke up from a five years long sleep, you would too find yourself not knowing who or what to believe.
She grabbed her books and headed up to the library after lunch, having made no friends here yet had made the choice easy for her, there are a dozen of homework and reading she needs to do anyway. Glancing around the almost empty room the moment she stepped in, her dark hues landed on her easily, the Ravenclaw girl she caught eyes with earlier that afternoon. Not likely that she followed her here since she's here first, does it makes her think that she followed her instead? Shaking her head quietly pushed those thoughts out of her mind that Rain headed up to the other girl, even though the other part of her mind was telling her to turn around and walk away, she couldn't.
"Hey," she found herself greeting as she came to stand before the brunette, pulling up a small smile. Closer look, she doesn't seems familiar, no Rain definitely doesn't know her then, but she would ask Raphael about her later just to confirm. "Mind if I sit down? I just saw you earlier like, at lunch," she shrugged, a wordless gesture admitting herself being lame, "I am- I am just new to school, and I was told that I should make some friends." that she finally said, nodding her head as if confirming her own words, Rain smiled again, pretty sure the other girl thinks that she's crazy by now.

She hadn't had her books open very long when another stepped up to the table. Since this was hardly the only empty table, Pandora had a feeling who it was before she looked. A glance up at those dark eyes, filled at the moment with curiosity and Pandora wondered at the neutral greeting, as if they hadn't stared earlier, as if the other hadn't spoken to her about meeting here in the hall just a little while ago. Short term memory loss hardly seemed to cover it really! She nodded at a seat as she responded.
"Nice to meet you," she said with a feeling of warning in her mind that this was one to be careful around, "my name is Pandora. And you are...?" She nodded at the other's words, thinking about that eye lock. It had spoken of familiarity, of things shared and she wasn't sure why yet or how it could be. Hence she took it normal. "I remember." 'Like I would forget it...' "You seem familiar somehow but I don't know why..."
OF course if she was new that certainly was good advice. "I would think anytime you land n a new situation that's good advice," she answered automatically then frowned at her own words. "Sorry, that sounded odd. What I meant was that's good advice in any situation so you should listen to that person whoever they were." Up close there was still something familiar about her, though Pandora now understood it was only the eyes that was the source of the feeling.
"So, Rain, if you are new here, where were you before Hogwarts? Color me curious to see where else we might have known each other..." She didn't know many people from other areas, in fact she was fairly isolated though if the girl had ever been at a modeling session that might help her click. "I don't remember ever having seen you at a photoshoot before. Have you ever been to one?"
