Heading to the Library, Cameron went first to the front desk and turned back in six books. The Librarian always gave him careful looks as if wondering what he was up to, but he had never given her a reason to go after him on anything. It was clear she was focused on books and that made her dangerous in his mind. So when he finished with them he turned them back in to keep her from focusing on him. Then he went to the back and found the two parts he needed and added them to his arm. Then another section over where he searched till he found another he thought might have what he needed.
Back to the main room where he glanced around and didn't see an open table. Walking over to the side behind the stacks he noted one of the tables by one of the windows had two students picking up stuff. Moving quickly he snagged the table even as they moved away, choosing a seat facing out of the window as he laid down the books and hung his bag on the chair. Opening the first one, he skimmed the contents and flipped to one of the back sections, reading first one page, then another coming up short with a frown as he realized that was all it had.
A stare for a moment at the other two, then he reached for one and flipped it open, looking up a set of terms in it's encyclopedia-like contents. Reaching in his bag he pulled out the extensive pad of paper filled with numbers and words and skimmed them fr the right thing, looked at it with a frown, then eyes widening as he remembered something and flipped back a few pages before lining up his fingers on a line and number. "What the..." He pulled out another paper and made a new note about the finding and then continued. It was nearly half an hour later that he had the die which was a four sided out and was rolling it in his hand while clearing his mind before he rolled it.
It came up a three. Running his fingers down a set of finished lines his eye brows went up and without looking up or behind him he raised a hand and waved at someone behind him. When the footsteps approached he said just loud enough for her to hear "So Goyle, long time no see. How's the year treated you so far?" He didn't take his eyes off the line, waiting to see if the dice had told him correctly...
