Mathieu was thrilled that he was now Professor Harris' Teacher's Aid. He loved Arithmancy and now he would be more and more exposed to it through his sessions with Harris and of course his own Fifth Year class.
But none of this took away from the other subject he loved- Potions. Mat had been fascinated with Potions since before he even attended Hogwarts, and once he began taking the course his First Year, he became even more fascinated that ever. So much that if he had time, he would often stay after class to test a few new potions. Mat was very good at mixing potions, so he never worried about blowing himself or anyone or anything around him up.
Today he was playing around with a Blood-Replenishing Potion. While Mat was fascinated with all potions, when it came to actually making one, he primarily focused on those potions which helped others as opposed to harmed them. Mat was trying to see if there was a way to make the replenishing potion work faster, as often a victim who has lost blood had precious seconds to live. The downside is that he had no test subject, as he didn't want anything bad to happen to someone or some animal should the potion be off.
