Ethan felt as though something strange were going on with him and Lizzie Finnigan when they rode the train to Hogwarts together. He'd always made fun of her but since the years when they were children, mere pre-teens, she's grown up into a beautiful girl. He hadn't seen much of her since school had started but it was strange. Was he beginning to like a girl he didn't think he could stand? He needed to shake some of these thoughts off, this meant getting his broom out and taking to the pitch. Ethan always felt comfortable on the pitch, it was crazy that this would be his last year to do so.

The seventeen year old had grabbed his broomstick and made his way from the Slytherin Dungeons up to the entrance hall before making his way outside. It was a nice day you could tell that fall was just around the corner and that soon he'd really need to start wearing a jacket, but for now a blue t-shirt and some black pants would do fine, even zooming around on a broom. He didn't have any need to actually use a quaffle while out on the pitch, it was difficult when it was just himself.

He looked around after walking out of the changing rooms and into the pitch and the stands. It was so very incredible and boy he would love to be actually playing a match at the moment, but flying worked well for now. He mounted his broom and kicked off. That's where he took to flying a couple of laps around the pitch.

How could he think he could possibly like a Gryffindor girl, let alone a Finnigan. Was he losing it? He felt like he was. He couldn't even stand his own sister who was in the house. His sister who should have been in Slytherin and shouldn't have influenced their youngest brother into Gryffindor. It wasn't right nor was it fair. Ethan just wasn't sure what to think. He should be off courting a Slytherin girl, after all most wizards meet the person they're going to marry here at Hogwarts. It's not easy once you've left the school to find someone more permanent. Or at least that was what Ethan had always been told.

He pulled up on his broom and managed to stop. He was level with the stands and looked around. Being so far up it felt so amazing. It was where Ethan White belonged in the end.

Thorn had much on his mind. First, there was his recent efforts in the Pureblood Society thwarted. He was contemplating whether or not to return to the club or not, or if he should use new means to sway more students into the grasp of the Dark Lady. The more that was on her side when it came time to act, the more Hogwarts could be taken from within before being attacked from outside. He had also uncovered By The Demon's Hand, a book that would no doubt be of some use to his Mistress. So things weren't in complete shambles.

The second matter on his mind happened to be a young woman... a Hufflepuff and Half-Blood of all people. As much as he tried to fight, ever since he had been partnered with her for a DADA project, he found he was thinking about her more and than more. But why? Why should Kaylee Pritchard be of any interest to him outside of the class project? And in some ways, Thorn already knew the answer. He just didn't want to admit it.

Thorn needed some fresh air. So carrying the latest Nimbus, he stepped onto the Quidditch Pitch. He was surprised to find Ethan there. Ethan was a student he liked and respected a great deal, someone who shared a lot of his ideas and was a worthy ally on the Pitch. Mounting his broom, he flew up to Ethan.

"Good day, old boy," he said. "I see you were in need of some fresh air as well.
