Ronny wasn't thinking about Cassie Borden today. Ronny hadn't thought about Cassie Borden in years. But the thing was... Ronny Tam used to think about Cassie Borden all the time. If there was anyone he had ever truly fallen in love with it, it was that beautiful young Ravenclaw at Hogwarts. He wasn't sure why it never worked out- different Houses perhaps? Maybe she was going to through something he wouldn't understand. Maybe it was the other way around. Whatever the case, it ended with Ronny having a broken heart and vowing to never fall in love again. Sure he dated other girls, but that was for fun. So far, he had kept his vow.
Again, Ronny was not thinking of Cassie Borden when he walked into the Leaky Cauldron. He was thinking about the upcoming Tornadoes Game. He was thinking about his interview with the Daily Prophet earlier that day. He was thinking of what kind of drink he was going to order. Heck, he was admitted thinking a little about the cute blond he passed in Diagon on the way there. Maybe he should take advantage of the address she gave him. Maybe.
Ronny sat at the bar and decided on a Goblin's Iced Tea, a strong drink that was anything but Iced Tea.

It had been quite the day at work for Cassandra. It started out with some paperwork and then before she knew it she was going after a wizard who had used an unforgivable curse. Those people never wanted to go in the easy way. They fought and most of the time, they fought hard. By the time her work shift was over, she was exhausted. However, she wasn't ready to go home just yet. In fact, a drink at The Leaky Cauldren sounded quite nice at that moment so that was where she headed off to. She wasn't a huge drinker, but a couple every now and then never hurt anyone.
Walking into The Leaky Cauldren, her eyes scanned the area for anyone she might know and sure enough she caught sight of Ronny Tam. Now, she hadn't really had much contact with the man since Hogwarts. That was about six years, but the blonde woman remembered him very well. She remembered how he tried to ask her out and she refused. At the time he asked, she wasn't really in the mindset to date again and she truly only saw him as a friend. She wondered how he had been doing all those years. She had seen articles and pictures of him, now that he was a famous Quidditch player, but that's all she knew.
Walking up to the bar, she waved her hand to get the bartender's attention. "Single malt whiskey please." Cassie called out to him before she turned with a smirk to her old friend, leaning sideways on the bar with a hand on her hip. "If it isn't Ronny Tam. Long time no see." She said, keeping her eyes on the handsome fellow. "Well, if you don't count the endless articles and pictures." She teased lightly, turning and pulling herself up onto one of the stools next to him.

When Ronny turned to address a very familiar voice, the years around Cassie Borden suddenly came back to him. Ronny stood there, finding his eyes fixed on this girl he had fallen for once. He found that for a moment, Ronny Tam... yes Ronny Tam... was speechless. Finally, he collected himself.
"Cassie..." he said. He then gave a slight, somewhat nervous chuckle. "Yeah... it has been some time. And yeah... guess you can't miss me these days." There was nervousness in Ronny's voice, but he didn't sound goofy. In fact, he sounded quite genuine. There was none of that Tam flair in his voice. "How have you been?"
If his mind would have been on it, he would have offered to buy Cassie's drink right away, but he barely paid attention to his when it arrived. Once again, he was thinking about Cassie Borden, and when he was to leave there, he would continue to think of Cassie Borden again. And she was even more beautiful than she was in school.
"So what have you been up to since Hogwarts?" he asked, finally acknowledging his Goblin's Iced Tea and sipping it.

When Ronny turned to her, Cassie only smiled as he spoke her name. He seemed a bit nervous, or surprised to see her. Of course, it had been quite some time since they last spoke. Maybe it was because she rejected him or maybe they just weren’t ever close enough to think about staying in touch. She wasn’t sure, but she was happy to see him now. It would be nice to catch up with such an old friend, seeing as she was usually stuck in her work, whether it be as a hit witch or as a dance instructor. Either way, she was always busy, but she didn’t mind that. She liked to keep busy and keep her mind off of everything wrong in her life. “Nope, you really can’t.” She teased again about not being able to miss him. “I’ve been doing alright though. How about you?” She asked him, sincerely curious about his wellbeing. He was a hot shot Quidditch player, you’d think nothing could be wrong, but you never knew.
His drink came and she found it slightly odd that he wasn’t paying it any attention, but maybe he didn’t feel like drinking it quite yet. He probably wasn’t expecting the company. When he asked about what she had been up to, she shrugged a bit and took her drink when it arrived. “Well, I’m a hit witch now. Fancy, right? But I’m also an instructor at the Dancing Dragons dance studio. I guess you could say I keep pretty busy.” She chuckled, taking a sip of her drink. “What about you? Anything exciting besides being quite the star?”

Ronny smiled as Cassie teased him. The thing was, Ronny never had to be the big Hogwarts show-off or the big Quidditch celeb around Cassie. He could always be Ronny Tam- a guy who cared deeply for his family and friends.
"I've been doing okay I suppose," he said. "I could use some rest though. I'll be happy when the off-season gets here."
Ronny smiled impressed when Cassie spoke of all she had been up to.
"Sounds like someone's kept busy," he said. "You were always one to excel though. I bet those dark wizards think twice before messing with you. You always had that edge about you, not that that's a bad thing."
Ronny then shrugged about what else was going on in his life.
"Not a lot right now other than Quidditch," he said. "But when the off-season does get here, I'm thinking about taking a trip home to South Korea with my parents to visit the rest of the family. We used to take trips there quite often, but then life got crazy. I miss my grandfather. Even at her age, she's still a lively as ever."
Ronny chuckled at that.
"So what about you?" he asked. "I bet by now some very fortunate man has won your heart."
It dismayed Ronny to assume that, and he hoped it wasn't true. While he talked with Cassie, old feelings began to return.
