Silvia had never been to a dance before. She had never had a dance date before. She felt the reasoning for having one this time was a bit silly, and that reason was because she was a Champion in the Tournament and it didn't look good for a Champion not to have a date at the dance. But at least her date was Sam, a really nice guy she knew. She didn't mind dancing with him as a friend. She liked him and she liked dancing, so what was there to despair about... and Silvia rarely despaired about anything.
Silvia arrived wearing a simple, light blue dress with puffs on the shoulder and around the skirt. She also wore a large blue bow in her hair. Stepping over, she decided to try the punch while she waited for her date. She sipped a little and found it a bit too sweet. Using her wand, she turned it into a more sour lemonade and sipped it again. Just right. Silvia then turned to look at the lights with great fascination. She had always found the use of lights at Hogwarts fascinating. She found the castle delightfully grim and the cheer of the lights an equally delightful contrast to that.

Sam was excited to be going to the ball with Silvia. He'd really never done the whole dancing and enjoyment of such things in the past. Silvia was a good friend of Sam's and he was there to support her being a champion for the Ravenclaw house for the Hogwarts tournament.
He'd put on a simple white undershirt and black jacket with black pants and made his way out to find his friend. Silvia had to have a date to the ball since she was a champion. He was excited that they agreed to go together. As he walked downstairs he kept his eyes out for the girl but he assumed she was already inside. When he got to the tent he found her sipping a drink over on the side and he gave a smile.
He walked up to her and his eyes scanned her carefully. The dress she was wearing was very suiting for her. It was a pretty light blue. ”You look stunning,” he told her softly as he made a bowl of punch. She was a beautiful person normally and her in that dress made it that much better.

Silvia turned to see Sam and smiled. He looked very handsome that evening. She thought Sam was a really good and decent person, and she was happy to have him as her date, even if the two were just going as friends.
"That's very kind of you to say," said Silvia. "You look quite nice as well. I think it's good that you didn't feel you had to spend too much money or time on your suit for a dance." Silvia was being sincere and not mocking him at all. Silvia was an honest young woman, and often admired people for things that others wouldn't. She straightened his jacket then looked at the punch.
"Would you like something to drink before we dance?" she said. "The punch is a bit too sweet for my tastes, but I find a good souring spell does the trick." She then smiled at him. "Thank you for taking me to the dance. I usually don't go to dances with someone, but being the female champion for Ravenclaw, I felt it would be a bit unusual for me to come alone, though I could be wrong. Anyway, I'm glad I'm here with you. You're a good person, Sam."
