Thomas Andrew Regal, or Tommy as he opted to go by now, wasn't really too eager about going to a dance. Then again, he hadn't counted on developing a crush on a girl. Said girl had feelings for him as well, so that was definitely interesting, though it led him to now have to go to the Eve of Lights ball. He should've found a way out of it, but he knew that if his sister heard him trying to sneak out of going to a dance he had said yes to going to, she'd never let him hear the end of it, and that was far from what he wanted to deal with. The relief was that he had hung out with Matt Johanson and Aaron Thompson for a few hours before the dance, more or less laughing along with Matt at the advice Aaron tried to give. Granted, Aaron knew his stuff, but Tommy and Matt both broke into laughter.
The time for the dance inevitably arrived, leaving Tommy with some hesitancy. Matt and Aaron were at least able to calm him down some from any nerves, but it was the dancing part that they couldn't really help with. Part of that would be nervousness on his part if nothing else. Dressed in a grey suit with a white button up shirt, a purple tie in a color as close to what Indy would be wearing as possible, and with black dress shoes and matching belt, he had taken one last deep breath to cancel out his nervousness. Matt and Aaron, both of whom he had buried the hatchet with or else they wouldn't be able to hang out with each other, were going to help with what they could, but this was up to him tonight. Arriving at the entrance area, Tommy took note of where Matt and Aaron were before heading towards the dance floor, waiting to see when Indy would arrive or if she was there already. LISA INDY TAM

Indy was a bit nervous, it wasnt as if she went to a dance with someone before. Nor had she ever asked anyone to a dance, though she had danced with people. However drinking and muggle club music were different then the proper dancing they would be doing at the ball. She had choosen a simple purple dress and black flats, her belt matched and she had small black studs in her ear, along with a purple flower in her hair. She nervously checked her appearances before heading to the dance, she was a bit behind seeing as people stopped her on her way to the ball. Taking deep breath she walked into the balrom andbit was breath taking.
The nervousness however didnt go away, and she didnt think it would. This feeling was different, she had butterflies in stomach, it wasn't the same sense of panic she got when she got her assignments back. She had a feeling these wouldnt go away anytime soon. She walked towards the dance floor and she found Tom there, he looked mildly uncomfortable and she giggled behind her hand. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad, it was just like when they were alone only, more people. She moved to where tommy was and smiked "You're wearing something other than black!" she said giving him a hug and smiling up at him.

"Oh ha ha, Indy," he replied, grinning. He figured she'd pull something like that, though what she was going to say was the only mystery. He made sure to hug her in return for her hugging him as that would look bad otherwise. Tommy then glanced over to where Aaron and Matt were, chatting and waiting for their dates to the dance. He saw Matt nod encouragingly, causing Tommy to nod back before looking back at Indy. The hard part of the night was going to be the dancing part, but hopefully he'd be able to manage his nerves enough to avoid trouble.
"I must say you look really great tonight," he said, knowing that he was still probably blushing as he said that despite any efforts on his part to avoid blushing. Well, hopefully she blushed from his compliment of her, which was going to be a success despite his own blushing. Yeah, dancing was going to be way harder than this, as he was still able to get that out without sounding nervous. It was just a matter of getting the dancing over and done with at this point. Hopefully Indy only wanted to dance for one or two songs. LISA INDY TAM

Indy smiled at him in return, it wasnt as asking awkward as she thought it might be. Though there were alot if people there and she wasn't sure if he'd hug her back. It was surprising when he did, alot of her friends were surprised that she was going to the dance with him. They just didnt understand the him behind the mask and the years of being a bully.
Indy was a person who believed there was good in the most evil of oeople, untill they personally did somethinging to her. Even then she didnt see them as completely evil. Everything wasn't as black an white as people made it seem, she really grew tired of the whole us versus them thing. She wanted nothing to do with that, shf was forever neutral untill you pissed her off.
"T-thanks" She said for the first time actually feeling a slight bit of nervousneof about the whole thing. "So dancing, right, are you ready?" she asked laughing a bit, she knew the answer was no, but she honestly thought he wasnt as bad as he thought he was. Just in case she weas wearing shoes charmed to protect her feet against assult. She didn't need to tell him that though, let him worry, revenge of course from the amout of times he slytherined her. "By the way its not going to be as bad as you think"

"Obvious answer to that question is no. I don't think I will ever be ready for dancing, even if I knew how well enough to not worry about potentially stepping on toes," he replied with a chuckle. Dancing was just not among his favorite things to do. It was definitely among his least favorite things to do though, and he honestly preferred it that way. Dancing was just never going to be something he was good at and he was fine with it. He just hoped that Indy didn't mind that he wasn't all that good a dancer, and that he was likely to step on her toes a few times. That was pretty much a given with him when it came to dancing. Hearing her say it wasn't going to be as bad as he thought, he chuckled some before replying.
"It probably will be. Knowing my luck, I'll step on your feet maybe six or seven times before the half-way point of the first song," he replied with a shake of his head and an amused expression. It was definitely something that was going to happen one way or another, even if Indy was being encouraging about the whole thing. It was good that she was being so encouraging though, as that helped him have a bit of calmness about this. Her nervousness when he had complimented her was enough to draw a smile to his face, but that hadn't really done much to ease his nerves at all. It was only her encouraging him that had. Well, something had to work on that front, right? LISA INDY TAM

Indy smiled and rolled her eyes, he was acting as if his whole life depended on this moment. "its simple honestly, promise you just put your hands on my waist and I your shoulders and I on your shoulders and we move to the music." she said guiding his hands to her hips. Of course she moved closer, a small smirk on her face. Really this was nothing, there was a bunch of people dancing poorly. Perhaps it was just because he was used to being so guarded, he was a bully last year. Still Indyq was a stubborn person who always got what she wanted, and she wanted them to have a good time.
She waited for him to get his bearings and smiled up at him, it was her fault he was taller than her. "Come on, I promise you wont have to dance anymore tonight if you can get through this song" She said trying to hide her laughter, leaning up she kissed him on the cheek and then looked at him innocently, though there was a smirk in her eyes, if that was even possible.

"Fine, sounds simple enough I suppose. I just hope I don't step on you or anything," he replied with a sigh. As much as dancing wasn't his thing, he figured he just had to get through maybe one or two songs at most to hopefully satisfy Indy's desire to dance. Really the only way he'd know was if he'd just dance, right? Thankfully she had at least helped him with his part, or well the first part at any rate. Moving to the music was the next part that he had to worry about, and that was going to be the easiest part so long as he kept aware of where his feet were in relation to hers at all times during the dance. The last thing he wanted to do was step on her feet and embarrass himself as a result.
"Just one song eh? Holding you to that," he replied with a grin and a slightly relieved look in his eyes that passed through fairly quickly. He usually didn't leave that sort of thing to linger in case he made people upset. Well, that was his usual handling of that sort of thing now, as he used to not care all that much back when he was still pushing people around. Indy was part of him changing for the better though, as well as having failed fifth year, which had him as sixteen and a year behind where he had thought himself to be. Well if you screw up, you get knocked down a few rungs on the ladder. That was something he really hadn't liked, but at least upon getting back on his feet he seemed headed in a far better direction than before, and that had been his preference since the stumble. He just hadn't known how to achieve that path until he met Indy. LISA INDY TAM
