It's a new school year. It's a new start for Natalie Grant.
It appeared that the past summer had done wonders to her, somehow. She did not look so painfully anxious when she walked through the school gate anymore. And she started talking to humans. Not that she had not talked to human before of course. It was just it had not happened very often. Everyone seemed surprised to see the brand new Natalie. She had faith in what she did, she knew what she wanted and she did not run away from her problems anymore.
She was no longer nothing. She was something now.
And it was all thanks to Ryne. Had it not been for his help, she really doubted she would have been where she was now. His encouragement, his confidence in her, his support. It felt like she had had a change of heart. She did not just exist, she also lived. And she felt more alive than ever. All because of him. He had always been there for her, even when she told him not to. He had seen her when most people thought she was invisible. He had not given up on her, ever. It was so easy to be with him, to talk to him and to listen to his gentle voice. Step by step, the Ravenclaw boy entered her world so quietly that she had not even noticed until she realized her world started to revolve around him.
It was not love. She would not call it love. But it was something.
The fifth year Gryffindor started to pace back and forth anxiously as waiting outside the Ravenclaw Common room. Everyone at school was talking about the ball. And Natalie had spent all week planning something. Perhaps it would make a fool of her. But she supposed she had been hiding and waiting for rescue long enough. She would not hide anymore. Not again.

Ryne was in the process of meditating something his mentor told him would help with his seeing ability when someone knocked on the dorm door to tell him Natalie was at the door. Smiling he threw on his t-shirt, one similar to the one he was wearing when they met. He was a bit surprised she came to the tower, though she's been blooming into quite the Gryffindor and it filled him with pride to know he got to watch as it happened. Though he was scared at what that meant for him, when she didn't think she needed him anymore, not that she ever did. He was confident that she would've found her footing without his help, he did enjoy the time he spent with her and he was sad to think it would end.
If he was being honest with himself, something he cant help, he relied on her just as much she did him. She kept the visions away and maybe he was to dependant on her, it was best never tell her exactly how much she had already paid him back for his help. He knew he should tell her about his affliction but it was hard, not one besides his grandmother and professor Mynk knew. Trust wasn't something that came easy for him and he wanted to make sure that she truly felt for him, the real him not the knight jn shinning armour he seemed to become when she needed him to be.
He was falling for the younger girl, falling hard and well it was scary. His visions were something he feared and seeing her in one would kilk him. He o ly got vision of trouble, death, and the occasional heartbreak. He coukd force his gift to look for things but the ones that ran free and came to him effortlessly where those that would haunt anyones dreams. With her they never came, he never had to excuse himself because they slammed Into his brain , like a eighteen-wheeler.
Opening the door he stepped out, to find her pacing, a cute habit she oicked uo when she was nervous. He wondered what was on her mind, he could think of a few things. A couple things he wanted to ask her, though they could wait. He wanted to know what hung so heavily on her mind. Leaning against the wall beside the portrait he looked at her with amused eyes "So what brings you to my side of town?"
