Aiden: Vin & Aiden appeared not far from the ruins and Vin steadied he boy giving him a minute to catch his breath. "It hits you like that, sorry. Better?" Aiden nodded, flushed slightly and reshuffled his backpack before following Vin to the ruins and through to their yard, looking around with some surprise before following Ally's father across the grass towards the house. As Vin opened the door he realized no more was needed as they were met by Ally immediately
8 May 14, 06:06 PM
Ally: She felt the wards and bounded down the stairs two at a time only barely missing losing her balance near the bottom. She reached the door just as it swung open. In an over-sized sweater and boots, she grinned at her father before turning to smile at Aiden. "Hi Den" she threw her arms around his neck, heedless of the possibility for embarrassing in front of her father. "I am /so/ glad you're here" she told him, shooting a pointed look at her dad.
8 May 14, 06:06 PM
Ally:

Aiden: "Hey Ally!" as he opened his arms to her quickly. Vin with a big grin turned as Abraham appeared saying "She's going to show Aiden to his room I think, Abraham. Aiden, this is Abraham. Abraham, he's the young gentleman I told you about." As the old ghost turned towards him with a bow, Aiden nodded back as he hugged her back saying "Um, nice to meet you, sir."
8 May 14, 06:13 PM
Ally: She leaned up and kissed his cheek before she pulled away nodding. "Right, yeah I've got it." She looked hopefully at her father. "Shortcut? He /is/ a guest" It was worth a shot, she thought.
8 May 14, 06:16 PM
Aiden: Aiden blushed slightly tho not as bad as a few weeks before. Vin nodded. "First time yes. He's on restricted though for his first trip." And then he father left through another door and Aiden turned to her, his eyes glancing down. "Nice uh sweater, Ally..."
8 May 14, 06:18 PM
Ally: Success! She thought, though she wasn't happy about the restricted access, she knew better than to argue. Plus, it was probably better not to overwhelm him first time. "Thanks dad" he left and when Aiden spoke she grinned. "You think so?" she smiled. "I like it too." She tilted her head. "Want to drop your stuff and then you can see my room?"
8 May 14, 06:21 PM
Aiden: He pulled his eyes away from her legs with difficulty. "Yes, it's great..." He nodded at the invite saying "Sounds good! The house isn't nearly as big as I thought you said it was, but it looks cool..."
8 May 14, 06:26 PM
Ally: She grinned, "well, you're only seeing a small part of it" she told him. "That's what restricted means. There are different levels of access depending on who and how old." She headed for a hall off the main room, and she opened a door which thankfully only lead to another hallway. "Normally, we'd be climbing a lot of stairs, but dad let Abraham give us a shortcut. If you get lost, you can ask him for help." She reached the door to the room her parents had set aside for him and swung it open. "Here we are" she stepped inside and motioned him in. "What do you think?"
s1169.photobucket.com/user/shava4/media/Hall/exp/1_zps2e2d0e86.jpg.html8 May 14, 06:31 PM
Aiden: He nodded. "So like, hidden hallways ad concealed doors you mean?" He followed her through a door and down a hall and when she opened a door his eyes grew wide. "Wow! This is really nice!" He set his bag down carefully on a chair ad whistled. This was rich stuff. "And so much room too..."
8 May 14, 06:35 PM
Ally: She nodded, "or in the case of the dungeons, hidden floors. I'm not even allowed in some places yet." She nodded, "it is, but trust me, in the rest of the house you'll be surrounded by people so by the end its nice to have space to yourself."
8 May 14, 06:40 PM
Aiden: He nodded, wondering how much stuff was concealed in hidden rooms here. "Ah gotcha. Where's your room then?" He grinned. "On the other side of the house entirely I bet if your parents have me here."
8 May 14, 06:52 PM
Ally: "Not really" she answered, passing through the door and back into the hall. "But we'll actually have to take the stairs for this one." She smirked, "I think they're banking on the fact you probably wouldn't be able to find it without me or Abraham." Taking his hand, she led him up and down another hallway to a door on the far end. Opening the door, she entered easily and pounced on her bed. "Welcome to my space, love."
i1169.photobucket.com/albums/r508/shava4/Hall/exp/1_zps82f9f002.jpg8 May 14, 09:42 PM
Aiden: He took her hand eagerly and followed, quickly finding the big house very distracting, dodging ghosts twice she walked through, and was soon lost. After a minute he said "Yeah it would take me a week to find my way here, easily. There's so many doors and halls!" And then they reached her room and as he entered and she let go to go jump on the bed, he shut the door behind him automatically. "Oh say, this looks very much like you!" He said as he took it in and then sat beside her with a pleased look in his eyes. This he could live with.
8 May 14, 09:52 PM
Ally: She slid off the boots, but left the knee high stockings as she folded her legs underneath her on the bed. "Good thing or bad thing?" she wanted to know, and she searched his eyes. "Its a lot to get used to I know, but I figured you might like a few minutes to get your bearings before we go down and meet everyone later."
8 May 14, 09:55 PM
Aiden: He nodded firmly as he crossed to her bed. "Good thing, definitely." His eyes fell on her legs as she removed the books. "I swear that sweater makes you look like you have nothing on under it. Very distracting." Blowing air out of his lungs he agreed. "Definitely! I remember you saying how many people there were."
8 May 14, 09:59 PM
Ally: She nodded, looking pleased, and then gave him a mischievous look when he commented on the sweater. "Glad you like it. I was hoping you would." She had also been hoping to get under her father's skin a bit, but no such luck there. She remembered her aunt Ashlyn talking about dressing a certain way to annoy her brothers and her father, but apparently he'd outgrown being so easily drawn. She raised herself onto her knees, shifted so that she was straddling his lap, and then lowered herself again, still straddling him. "More than you're used to" she warned. "And all as wild as I am or worse" She was, admittedly a bit nervous about how he'd take her family, and so sought to remind him of the benefits of their relationship, vividly.
8 May 14, 11:28 PM
Aiden: He didn't miss she didn't say anything about what she had on underneath which would catch any young man's attention. "I do!" And then she straddled him and his breathing became a bit faster as his hands came up behind her on her waist to help support her. When she sat like this he found himself more then distracted, but she knew this like she had known what not answering the question about the sweater would do. His cheeks might have gotten a tad bit rosy then at that realization. "Worse? Oh wow, good thing I have a good teacher then," and he leaned forward the scant distance needed to kiss her, with a certain amount of longing in it before he released it, not pulling back. Against her skin he said softly "I'll manage. I've missed you even though it's only been a few days, somehow I think you've gotten in my blood..."
8 May 14, 11:35 PM
Ally: She saw him react to her, both to her silent implication and her body language. It was fun, she knew, drawing him in this way. She had, thus far, managed to keep short of taking them too far, but the resisting was getting harder. "You can't take anything anyone says seriously, except maybe uncle Darius, but he's not as outgoing as most of us are." She grinned at his teacher comment, and when he kissed her, she wrapped her arms around his neck, relaxing against him. She enjoyed the thought of affecting him so, the thought that he desired her enough that it messed with him. It was a powerful feeling, one she found herself almost craving. So she lowered her head, tracing the outline of his jaw with her lips before she moved down to his throat, spreading her fingers over his chest under the coat but over the shirt still. "I've missed you too" she murmured. "You have no idea"
8 May 14, 11:45 PM
Aiden: "How come he's the holdout? Is he the only sane one then?" he asked with a grin, his temperature rising a bit more. As she went down his throat a short gasp escaped him and he answered her with "Keep doing that and we'll both miss meeting the family except in the most compromising ways--" but his arms tightened around her and his hands grasped her waist tighter in sheer desire.
9 May 14, 12:07 AM
Ally: She shrugged. "No idea, but he's pretty cool, you just have to get to know him. He's pretty much my favorite uncle but I wouldn't tell the others that." As things escalated and he spoke, she smirked at him before moving upward slightly, kissing the spot just below his ear she whispered: "Promises promises" as she worked her hands up underneath his shirt and spread them over his chest. When she looked up at him again, her eyes dared him to make good on it.
9 May 14, 12:16 AM
Aiden: He made a note to pay close attention to her uncle then and nodded. "Cool, I look forward to meeting him then." He felt a shiver up his back as she spoke and slid her hands up across his skin. Giving in, he brought a hand up and caught the back of her neck, kissing her fiercely for a full minute before she brushed two spots on his chest and he leaned more into her, his hand dropping to the front of her sweater and caressing her through the sweater as his other hand came up underneath it...
9 May 14, 12:26 AM
Ally: She felt it when what little resistance there was fell apart under her hands. Still focused on kissing him, she removed her hands from his shirt, moved them instead to work the coat off of his shoulders as she continued kissing him, a soft, teasing trail until he surprised her, catching her and pulling her lips to his, the fierceness of it caught her breath and she moaned softly against his lips. At least twenty relatives in the house right now and yet here she was. It was by far the most dangerous thing she'd ever attempted, and she simply. didn't. care.
9 May 14, 12:39 AM
Aiden: Sliding his hand up her skin so warm to her bra where he ran his hand around her bottom edge before coming up to caress and cup her on one side as he kissed her more, feeling his coat pushed off one arm, but he couldn't let go of her under the shirt. He didn't want to, not for anything. After a full another minute he gasped against her lips and pulled back slightly saying "Ally, won't they be coming to check on us soon? They do know I'm here!" He hated to stop and in fact had not released her, but the worry was there.
9 May 14, 12:43 AM
Ally: He had, for a very long time, been her voice of reason, but it was the first time she'd ever wanted him to stop and let her be reckless quite this badly. She took a deep breath, let it out slowly. "Yes" she murmured. She released him, but at least for the moment remained where she was. "Someone will probably be up soon." Merlin help her if it was her father. She knew for a fact that he and her mother had shared a room while they were dating. Her grandmother had mentioned it when they'd spoken of Aiden coming to visit. She closed her eyes, which were currently a shade of dark violet, and kept breathing, willing her sense of self-preservation to kick in and help her calm down before she jumped him and d@mn the consequences.
9 May 14, 12:47 AM
Aiden: As she released him he continued to hold her, afraid to move really for all that he wanted to continue. "Maybe...later." He breathed out, his face flushed and wanting, but then his hand released and he pulled it out to straighten her sweater as he breathed heavily. "My Merlin, I've never wanted someone so much in my life!" About that second there was a knock on the door and the door swung open the next moment, a young girl with striped tiger-like hair looking in and grinning at seeing Ally sitting on Aiden's lap. "Hi! You must be Aiden!" Her eyes sparkled with mischievousness.
9 May 14, 12:55 AM
Ally: "Later" she agreed. She kissed him, but pulled away quickly, knowing if she didn't she'd be lost. She brushed the hair out of his eyes and smiled. "The feeling is mutual, love" she assured him a moment before they were interrupted. She turned her head, knowing the speaker before she caught sight of the stripes. "Hi Aunt Zahara" she grinned, glad they'd sent someone closer to her own age. She ambled off of him and straightened her sweater. "What are the chances mom and dad have no idea what we were up here doing?" She seemed to realize the introductions were her job and should be made properly. "Zahara, this is Aiden. Aiden, meet my Aunt Zahara."
9 May 14, 12:58 AM
Aiden: The 'later' caused another sort of excitement in him, but her kiss also fanned that flame. Fortunately the opening the door gave him a chance to calm his pants down before the intruder came closer. A glance at her and the hair which raised an eyebrow before he said "Ah nice to meet you. Does everyone around here already know my name?" He rolled over on his front to give himself another moment to adjust in size as he looked at her aunt. Shaking his head he said "Um...is it me or are you young enough to be Ally's sister?"
9 May 14, 01:01 AM
Aiden: Zahara laughed and advanced to ruffle his hair. "Nice to meet you to Aiden, welcome to the family." Her eyes said she had meant that phrasing on purpose as she turned to answer Ally's other question. "Actually thy did send me to make sure you were both on your way so I suspect they are suspicious but not concerned yet if they weren't worried about me walking in on something mother would be upset about." She grinned wickedly challenging her with her eyes to deny what she had seen.
9 May 14, 01:09 AM
Ally: She laughed softly and nodded. "Pretty much everyone, yeah. News travels fast in this house." Still grinning, "Ma was still having kids when mom and dad got married" she tried to explain. "My youngest aunt is less than a year older than Luke and me." She smirked at Zahara's welcome rather than being embarrassed as some might have done. She stood, straightening her sweater and doing a quick shift to fix her hair. There was nothing to be done about Aiden really, but she wasn't especially worried about it. She gave Zahara a look. "Like Ma would really be all that upset" she rolled her eyes. Her parents were a different story. "All right, what's it going to cost me?"
9 May 14, 01:15 AM
Aiden: He straightened his hair hesitantly, looking back and forth between them as Zahara said "Advanced favor, you cover for me later on." She nodded, looking satisfied and giving Aiden a once over eyes lingering on his butt a moment. "Cute one, Niece, good job." And then she winked at Aiden and strode back to the door and out (leaving it open as she said) "Better hurry on down tho." There was a moment as Aiden sat up and slid off the bed saying "Um, did you all just negotiate about trouble?" He looked a bit bemused.
9 May 14, 01:19 AM
Ally: "Done" she agreed, rolling her eyes when her aunt checked Aiden over. "I thought so too" she answered, shaking her head at the retreating back. Sighing she added, "be down in a minute." She laughed at the expression on Aiden's face. "Yes, there's a lot of it to be had around here and staying under the radar requires a system. Namely she's going to cover us today and at some point later I'll cover for her." She was in enough trouble as it stood, though the light at the end of the tunnel was in sight at least.
9 May 14, 01:22 AM
Aiden: Blushing at being checked out, Aiden was not used to being seen as cute. "Wow, I know you said there were a lot of age mix ups, but that one caught me off guard." Clothes straight now he looked at Ally and his eyes were hungry. "d@mn it. This is going to be hard to keep from being seen." He sighed. Okay, I guess we should go face the music then."
9 May 14, 08:54 AM
Ally: She righted clothes and her hair. There wasn't much she could do about the eyes except hope she calmed down enough on the trip down. "Don't worry, it catches everyone off-guard." She laughed, "thing of something really unsexy, it usually does the trick for me." Putting on her boots, she nodded. "Yep" she took his hand. "Let's go" Side-stepping a pair of ghosts who were deep in conversation about 'what a pity it was that traditional forms of torture had been outlawed', she headed for the stairs, feeling reasonably calmer. When they reached the final landing, she turned to him. "Ready?"
9 May 14, 01:35 PM
Aiden: He nodded and tried. As she walked around ghosts he said "Man, you really do have a lot of ghosts. And you said your mother collected them somehow?" A pair of twins boy ghosts ran down around a corner in front of them as they walked. He nodded he was and followed her lead as they walked into a living room with about a half dozen adults and more then twenty kids! His eyes suddenly popped at the riot of colors and chaos involved though most of the kids were involved in stuff and paid them no mind.
9 May 14, 11:59 PM
Aiden: Sitting on a couch in the middle of the mass was a woman (short) who had flaming red hair next to a man who had jet black hair who seemed to be the center of the chaos. Near but not the center was another couple, the man with orange hair, the woman with more blond who he both recognized from a picture Ally had showed him. On floor, cushions, chasing each other, and leaning against the wall was a number of people all younger and of various ages though he saw Luc her brother amidst one set in the far corner. It was as if twenty different interactions were happening all at the same time...
10 May 14, 01:21 AM
Ally: "Grandmother actually" she answered, smiling oddly at the boys as they passed. "Some more social than others." She scanned the room full of people and breathed a sigh of relief, much better than it could have been. She caught a glance at his expression and laughed. "Welcome to my life, love" She saw her parents and grandparents immediately, but continued scanning the room in search of her uncle Darius. Frowning when she didn't find either he or her aunt Brier immediately, she took his hand and weaved her way through the chaos. Reaching the center, she motioned to Lindsey and Osiris. "Den, these are my grandparents" she smirked, knowing they didn't look like anyone's grandparents he'd probably ever seen. "Don't drink anything Pop gives you though, fair warning." She offered no warnings for her grandmother, there weren't any encompassing enough.
10 May 14, 01:42 AM
Aiden: Aiden followed the pull of her hand through the room wondering who they were going to meet first and smiled tentatively as she introduce him to the center two. "Nice to meet you," he said as the black haired man grinned and the red head motioned him closer so she could look him over. She said "Oh early warnings is it? Osiris loves practical jokes so prepare yourself, handsome, and I'm Lin. If this one decides she wants to keep you I'm Ma like everyone else calls me, got it? What's your name again?" "Aiden" he said eyes widening at the 'keep you' part. She looked him over and flashed a look at her granddaughter which said 'Oh I likey' then Osiris had to move to stop a chase from ending in a wreck between grandkids. Lin added "It's fun, but crazy around here. You find anyone in their underwear, get used to it and surprises aplenty." A glance at Ally to see if she wanted to add anything like where he was staying or who he belonged to.
10 May 14, 01:48 AM
Ally: "I thought it was only fair since there are fifty of us and one of him" she answered, still grinning and looking thoroughly in her element. "Loves is an understatement" she mumbled under her breath. She'd had to go to Darius more than once for help undoing something. She caught the look from her grandmother and winked, making it clear that she very much liked as well. She didn't blush at the comment about keeping him, she was planning on it, and it was then that the thought occurred and she began absently playing with the ring which was currently on her right hand. She was too busy watching Aiden out of the corner of her eye to notice when Lin looked at her again. At the underwear comment, however, she smirked. "Where is aunt Char anyway?"
10 May 14, 01:53 AM
Aiden: Lin smiled at the murmur, but her eyes became more alert when Ally began fiddling with the ring tho she concealed it. Her smile grew a bit bigger however. Aiden nodded to her surprises comment looking around. Lin added because she knew Ally "Dare and Brier got an owl, probably in the kitchen and back in a minute. Better pirate first," she added turning her head and yelling "VIN! LOOKS GOOD! NO MUSSED HAIR OR ANYTHING!" and then flashed her granddaughter a wink. Vin and Keela, attention now captured, were looking their way now.
10 May 14, 01:59 AM
Ally: Looking happier, Ally nodded, looking in the direction of the kitchen reflexively. She flipped back around at the raise voice so quickly it was almost comical, then grinned for a moment before she tried desperately to conceal it beneath a long suffering 'what can you do?' look. Keela studied both mother-in-law and daughter before she leaned over to whisper in Vin's ear "Better go say hello, he could probably use a break being the center of attention." She stood, making her way through the fray to her daughter. "Hello Aiden, all right so far?" She remembered vividly her first trip here, and the strong overwhelmed feeling that he was undoubtedly experiencing now.
10 May 14, 02:03 AM
Aiden: Aiden looked at Lin with wide eyes as she shouted and then back at Ally, seeing the long suffering look. Unnoticed during this he had become the attention of a good dozen sets of eyes for a minute as the newest entertainment before the parents homed in and they went back to carefully hidden looks. Vin chuckling came over and hugged his daughter whispering "Deer in the headlights my dear..." Aiden gave Keela a relieved but still anxious look as he said "I uh, just wasn't expecting the yell..."
10 May 14, 02:05 AM
Ally: Keela smiled knowingly and gave him a conspiratorial smile. "You get used to it, promise" and then she winked. "Mom can't help it really, it takes a lot keeping this bunch from complete chaos." She smiled at Lin, enjoying the rare opportunity to tease her mother-in-law. Ally, for her part, leaned in to hug her father. "I know, but he's doing okay right?" It was the first time she'd released Aiden's hand since they came downstairs.
10 May 14, 02:09 AM
Aiden: Nodding half-relieved, he was glad to step back slightly towards Ally as he saw the interactions as the conversations continued around him. Vin nodded at his daughter and turned to Aiden holding out a hand and shaking his. "Heard a lot about you, Aiden, seems Ally is a fan. How have you managed so far not to be dragged all over school?" Aiden grinned a bit despite his clear nerves saying "Oh I just go along, sir, it seems safer that way then digging in heels. I suspect that might throw her off and then she'd have to get me back later."
10 May 14, 02:16 AM
Ally: Keela laughed softly. "Smart boy" she nodded, shooting a look at Vin from the corner of her eye. "You learned that lesson faster than I did." She kissed Vin's cheek before turning her attention back to Aiden. "Ally's very much like her father you see, and there's no deterring either of them when they want something bad enough." She turned to her daughter a moment. "You've been in my closet again..." she arched a brow, looking pointedly at the boots. Ally glanced at the floor. Not bothering to deny it, she bit her lip. "Nessa used mine to play dress up in and now I can't find them anywhere" she complained. "Did not!" a voice called across the room. "They were on the cat!" Keela looked to be trying hard not to laugh. "Just make sure they find their way back to my closet by means other than the the cat all right?" Ally nodded, "yes mom"
10 May 14, 02:20 AM
Aiden: Vin smiled. Aiden nodded, his face clearly saying 'ah ha.' He looked puzzled at the cat part and looked across the room when it was refuted. His tentative smile said he realized this should be funny not confusing. "Does the cat often wear boots?" Vin shook his head and said "Depends on which cat there are more then thirty of them and I suspect a sticky charm was involved," turning towards Nessa and walking that way to the other's chagrin. Aiden gave Ally a look which said this was crazy
10 May 14, 02:26 AM
Ally: She watched her father a moment before movement caught her attention elsewhere. Brier and Darius had returned. "If you'll excuse me, I'm going to go try and corner my sister into taking off work for Christmas shopping." She kissed Ally's forehead and nodded to Aiden. "Take care of our girl all right? Keep her out of trouble..." She seemed to reconsider this charge. "Or do your best at least" she added with a wink, ignoring Ally's eyeroll. She took his hand again and headed for the edges of the crowd. "Think you can handle it?" She tried to sound light, but she was in fact slightly nervous, aware her family was a lot to take, and this wasn't even half of it. Nessia, meanwhile, could be heard concocting a very detailed story about how her cousins (who were conveniently absent) were to blame for the sticky charm and the missing boots. ("I promise, dad. I don't even know how to do a sticking charm!")
10 May 14, 02:32 AM
[×] Aiden: Her MOTHER was asking this? Aiden gave a plaintive "How? I'd love to know the secret!" He felt her fingers and caught on quickly, following her to the edge eagerly, noticing a few of the glances and trying to smile reassuringly. "Um, sure but this is a lot more wild then I think you realize the first time..."
10 May 14, 02:35 AM
Ally: "Family secret" she told him, and then after a moment's hesitation, "maybe you'll find out one day." She turned and headed across the room to greet Brier and Darius; Once they were a bit more separate, Ally shook her head. "Oh no, I knew, but I was afraid if I told you it might scare you off."
10 May 14, 02:42 AM
Aiden: He shook his head and then followed, hearing her comment and thinking about it a moment. "Scare me off? From you?" He snorted. "Fat chance. It's take a trio of rhinos chasing me around the grounds before I would hesitate to set foot here for you and even then I'd just haunted the perimeter waiting for you to come out." He squeezed her hand slightly, feeling a bit more Lion in him rear it's head
10 May 14, 02:46 AM
Ally: "Only three?" she teased but she leaned up and brushed her lips over his softly before she squeezed back. "Good, then come meet Aunt Brier and Uncle Darius" She noticed her mother had found her way back to sitting beside her grandparents. "Aunt Brier! Uncle Dare!" She threw her arms around Darius' neck. "You made it!" Brier gave her niece an indulgent look. "Yes, Ally, of course we made it. I just had a few last minute things to wrap up at the office."
10 May 14, 02:55 AM
Aiden: Stopping on the edge he shared a brief kiss, more of a brush and felt immediately better for it. Following her lead he said "Okay," and saw his hair was a vivid purple. As Darius held out a hand in greeting saying "You must be Aiden." he nodded saying back "Yes sir and you must be Uncle Darius." a glance at Brier before he added "At least I can tell who has married into the family easily around here." Darius nodded seriously as he intercept and picked up a five year old and scooped her up into his arms easily as she wrapped her arms trustingly around his neck as she looked at Adrian suspiciously.
10 May 14, 03:04 AM
Ally: Brier studied the young man, and nodded, giving him an approving look. Watching as their youngest was scooped into Darius' arms, she smiled, brushing the hair out of the girl's eyes. Ally grinned at her cousin. "Hi Izzy" noting the girl's wary look and unsurprised by it, she smiled easily. "This is my friend Aiden, he's visiting for Christmas, all right?" Brier made a face, but didn't actually comment on the nickname when Ally's focus turned to her. "Did mum talk you into the annual Christmas shopping trip this year." Brier sighed, but good-naturedly enough, the soft spot for Keela evident. "Probably" she answered. "She says Key West this year." Ally turned to Aiden to explain. "Shopping for this bunch takes a while, so mom and dad and a bunch of the others get together and go away somewhere for a few days. Its really more of a vacation, but they'll tell you its for us." She gave her uncle a mischievous look. "Does that mean Uncle Dare's going to be alone with the terro--munchkins?"
10 May 14, 03:04 AM
Ally: She amended, aware Isadora might actually understand and not wanting to hurt her feelings.
10 May 14, 03:09 AM
Aiden: Listening to the family chat, Aiden felt...well, included into things enough to feel comfortable. "Hi Izzy, nice to meet you," but the little one remained iffy while Darius smiled slightly. "She's just still nervous around those who are new, she'll adjust don't worry." Darius frowned and ruffled Ally's hair before she could stop him. "Now Ally, be nice! Or I'll sic them on Aiden to keep them busy." His eyes didn't show humor, but that was no surprise from him. It was still a tease and Ally knew it. "So Aiden, How are you surviving with my niece? Legs still intact? She hasn't run you ragged yet?"
10 May 14, 03:13 AM
Ally: She saw Izzy's hesitation and tweaked her nose. "He's not scary silly one. Do you think I'd bring him home if he was?" Ally shrugged, "don't take it personally. Most everyone's kind of iffy around new people, comes from being surrounded by just family for so long I guess." When Darius ruffled her hair, she made a face at him before it righted itself again. She widened her eyes intentionally at his threat and put a hand dramatically over her heart. "Anything but that" she smiled. "Besides, you're going to need help babysitting during the day don't forget, and you remember what happened when you left them with Aunt Ashlynn last year..." She stuck her tongue out at him childishly while he was focused on Aiden. "I don't know why everyone thinks I'm such a hassle" she pouted.
10 May 14, 03:18 AM
Aiden: He nodded. "Might be my hair which seems weird I guess." Hearing she was offering to babysit he wondered how that would happen in this house with so many kids. Darius smile now for real adding "Oh just bring them to the house and let them run loose of course." Knowing full well they would end up with someone, probably Ally's room in particular one of the few places they could find besides the playrooms. "Because you are too much like Mom." Darius had never taken up the nickname, but no one else seemed to mind. Aiden watched this back and forth and then thought about his just meeting with her grandmother, glancing back across the room. Oh yes, he could see it...
10 May 14, 03:25 AM
Ally: She grinned, "yeah, right, the hair." Couldn't be that after leaving here and starting school everyone else seemed far too...boring by comparison. Speaking of his house. "Dad didn't hide my bike with you did he?" she wanted to know. "I want to show Aiden before he leaves." It never occurred to her it might have been her mother's doing. She beamed when Darius spoke, taking it as a high compliment. "No such thing" she argued, the trace of hero-worship evident. Brier smirked, "with just enough of Keela's stubbornness to make you really dangerous" she threw it just for good measure. Ally continued to pout. Brier shook her head, "Cheer up Ally cat, you know you're my favorite niece." Leaning close as though telling a secret, she added: "Just don't tell the others all right?"
10 May 14, 03:30 AM
Aiden: As her uncle and aunt both teased and agreed with her, Aiden found himself feeling protective and when she pouted as her uncle said "Yes, I think she charmed them to warn her if you touched them too." he slipped his other arm around her middle from behind and stepped closer to give her a one armed hug as if to say 'I'm here for you' as Brier noted it and Darius' smile grew a tiny fraction in approval.
10 May 14, 03:35 AM
Ally: An incredulous look. "Wait, she?" Ally shot a look across the room where Keela, who had tuned into the conversation, smiled a bit like a Cheshire cat. The expression seemed to say: "You didn't get it all from your father, love." Ally would have stomped her foot if Aiden hadn't been there. Speaking of Aiden, when he wrapped his arm around her, she leaned in to him, relaxing after a moment. She sighed, "guess I'm going to have to go negotiate with the wardens" she murmured. "See you guys later." She headed for her parents, specifically her mother. "The bike mom? Really?" She shot her father a 'help me out here' look.
10 May 14, 03:40 AM
Aiden: Darius nodded, then looked curious why it mattered who did it. Darius started to ask as Ally turned away, stopped by his wife and a certain child grabbing his ear. Aiden followed her back across the room, now more aware of the attention since he was following her around like a protective blanket. HIs ears turned slightly blushy as Vin said "Your mother thought it would be nice for you to spend time with us more then rushing off on the motorcycle and since we have no roads, I told her we should find out if Aiden is mechanically inclined first to see if he would want to spend his time with oil first." His eyes twinkled, waiting to see how this got argued as he turned to Aiden who wasn't sure what to say.
10 May 14, 03:47 AM
Ally: "But dad!" she came dangerously close to whining. "I just finally got it running" she pointed out as though taking it from her now were something akin to medieval torture. Realizing her dad wasn't going to be any help, she turned to her mother. "But can't I at least show him, she pleaded. "I promise we won't stay long." -er than it took for them to finish what they'd started upstairs. The thought came unbidden. Keela, who remembered a very similar Christmas trip several years before, wasn't particularly fooled. "Well I suppose that might be all right, so long as Nessia goes with...." Ally didn't even let her finish. "But Nessia will want to play with it!" she argued, "She'll knock it over or something!" Another pleading look at Vin, "Tell her dad, please?"
10 May 14, 03:47 AM
Ally: Keela, for her part, looked to be enjoying this far too much.
10 May 14, 03:51 AM
Aiden: As she shifted to her mother he waited and then added in "Excuse me, I know I'm just a guest and not part of this really, but she did promise to show me what she enjoys so much and I sort of what to see why she likes it so much while I'm here. So can the guest request a visit to see it at least once?" Vin's eyes indicated approval as he said "Hmm, no mechanical interest but an interest in what makes her tick. Novel approach, Aiden, nicely played." while Aiden's ears turned a bit redder.
10 May 14, 12:59 PM
Ally: She was surprised when Aiden spoke up, even more so when it seemed to sway her parents. She turned her head to beam at him before she re-focused on her mother. Keela looked between the two. "Yes, nicely done Aiden. I think you've just bought Ally a pass" Before her daughter could bolt from the room, she held up a hand. "But, only for a couple of hours and only after dinner." Remembering the first time she'd seen Vin's bikes, she tried not to cringe. Her kids really were growing up far too quickly for her liking. Ally knew better than to look a gift horse in the mouth. "Thanks mom" she hugged first one and then the other before addressing her father. "Can I show Aiden the attic? Please?"
10 May 14, 01:42 PM
[×] Aiden: The Lion in him felt very pleased at winning the point FOR Ally, even though he himself wasn't excited about them. He knew she wanted it though and that was all that mattered to him. "Thank you, Mrs Moon, I appreciate it." He smiled until Vin spoke up saying "Actually, Aiden, it's Silver-Moon, remind me later and I'll explain why we like confusing last names." Vin chuckled as Aiden looked perplexed until permission was given for the attics and then felt the lightest tug start and followed her moves automatically saying "Okay sir," and then they were going out of hearing.
10 May 14, 08:48 PM
Ally M: She pulled him away and waited until they were out of the room before she pulled him close and kissed him soundly, ignoring the titters of a passing ghost. "You're amazing" she told him as they headed for the attic. "It's a lot of stairs, sorry."
10 May 14, 09:02 PM
Aiden: ully blushed now and aware that even the ghosts were giving him a glance he dropped all of that when she kissed him, kissing her back and hard, throwing himself into it. When she broke off to say something about amazing he protested. "Hey! I said I was on your side always! You should expect me to back you up when I can think of a way to do so." He was grinning as they headed up and asked "Why the attic by the way? Is there something secret of yours hidden up here?"
11 May 14, 11:51 PM
Ally: She was surprised by his response, but only for a moment before she was in it fully as well. When she pulled away, she was grinning. "I know" she shook her head. "I just didn't expect you to speak up with my parents." She squeezed his hand. "Thanks, Den" She gave him a mysterious look. "Nope, something secret of yours." She pulled him into the room. "Close your eyes" she told him, excitement evident.
11 May 14, 11:54 PM
Aiden: He gave her a weird look as if she was mystically bizarre and then they reached the attic. "Uh..." He had an impression of a huge and long space he couldn't see the end of filled with furniture piled up into the air on top of each other and tons, literally hundreds of them, boxes and chests as far as the eye could see. He shut his eyes wondering what the heck she had done and how could she not realize how wealthy her family was and waited, dropping into a simple cross legged position without effort nor hands needed, just folding into place.
11 May 14, 11:58 PM
Ally: She gave him a look he couldn't see. "I swear sometimes you're a ninja" she murmured under her breath before turning away. Walking away for a few seconds, she returned thirty seconds later with a box, long and narrow which she had obviously wrapped herself as made evident by the bright, multi-colored wrapping paper which seemed to go in several different directions at once. "Okay open" She held it out to him. "This is for you."
www.toledosword.com/im/PC2204NTS_h.jpg12 May 14, 12:03 AM
Aiden: Hearing her words even with eyes closed he smirked slightly "They never existed, silly. Not the way you think they did at least." She came back about a minute later by which time he had gotten the excitement from downstairs put away and his center regained. Breathing easily she placed something in his lap and he opened his eyes, smiling softly at the wrapping. "You didn't have to get me something, Ally!" He undid the tape carefully and folded the paper setting it under his leg so he could keep it and opening the box. The look which became his whole body was one of stunned. He stared, jaw slightly open for nearly twenty seconds before a trembling hand reached out and touched the blade itself, a look of both surprise and awe mixed there. "Oh no way, how did you come by this? It's too much!"
12 May 14, 12:08 AM
Ally: She stuck her tongue out at him before she turned, and then shook her head at him a few moments later. "Technically I didn't" she answered. "Not in the way you think anyway" she intentionally mimicked him, the smile evident in her voice. She arched an eyebrow at the too much comment. "It was free" she shrugged. "Took a little digging of course" And a thorough checking to make sure none of the darker magics had lingered, but he didn't need to know that. It had also taken some doing to convince her father to let her give a family antique away. "I found it up here one day and thought of you. I thought maybe this way I could give you something I knew you would love." She sounded, for a brief moment, slightly vulnerable. "Do you like it?"
12 May 14, 12:15 AM
Aiden: His eyes popped up to her face and now his jaw fell open. "F-free?!" His eyes bugged at the idea something like this was available. "H-How?! Does anyone else know about this? Is this like your families? B-but..." The idea of taking a gift from someone's family's past threw him, it couldn't be allowed surely! "It's--" He had trouble with words, reverently running a finger down the flat of the blade. "I could never, ever, in a million years afford to buy something like it, Ally. Do you realize how much this might cost?" He was starting to suspect she really had no idea about money, at all. Could he accept something like this? Morally? "Circe's breasts, Ally, it's flipping phenomenal and several other words not invented yet! How could I not love it? It's just...whoa. I'm not sure how I can accept something this expensive." His face screwed up, a mix of fervent desire for it and yet horror of the morality of the situation suddenly thrust unknowingly into his hands. "Sit down we need to talk a minute here."
12 May 14, 12:20 AM
Ally: She nodded. "Its been around for ages. Like I said, the house was built in the 1200s and its probably not that old, but yeah, a while." She nodded, "Oh dad said it was fine, they wanted to check it over of course, make sure there were no spells on it, but there are things like this all over the house, Den. Its an old--" He was really focused on the price, and that seemed strange to her. "No idea, like I said, no one here is using it, I thought you might like it. That's all." Despite her misgivings, she glowed with his approval. She gave him a frustrated look. "Aiden, I told you, it didn't cost me, or my parents, or my grandparents anything for that matter. Its been up here in the attic for who knows how long." She bit her lip, looking upset suddenly. "So...you don't...you don't want it?" She tried not to look sad, failed, but managed to focus when he spoke. "Talk? O-okay, sure." She sat, still trying to get a handle on things.
12 May 14, 12:30 AM
Aiden: His eyes bugged again at the possible age and he whispered. "It might be 1600s or something...d@mn." Oh merlin how was he going to say this? "I want it too freaking much, but I can't accept it till you understand something, okay? Just sit and let me try to think how to say this." He breathed in deeply and then with obvious regret set the box down and took her hands. "Um Ally, my family is poor. I mean, we have the train which was a gift, we could never have had it before otherwise. And our house is rent during the rest of the year to pay for having it, keeping it. I can't afford much of anything. And this , Merlin, something like this might go for ten or fifteen thousand galleons." His eyes winced slightly, but he clung to her hands hoping she could follow him. "It's more then I think my family has ever had before basically. It's not like a train or a house, but it's in the same kind of category. A lot of people will see it and automatically think I want to be with you because it's valuable and I must be trying to live off what you have." He bit his lip. "I want to be with you because of you, who you are, not anything you might give me or the money you have and you know that, right? I need to hear you say yes..." He breathed in deeply and let it out before he continued. "I want to accept this, but I have to make sure you realize what kind of gift it is and what people will think. I know my parents will want to sit me down and make sure of my motives here. But if I accept this, you need to let me know you understand it's because I love you. I won't accept money from you otherwise, okay? It's better then anything I could ever wish for, really, and I adore it, but I won't use it unless we understand each other. Okay?" He sucked on his lower lip anxiously a moment before he added "I think when you see our place you might understand more."
12 May 14, 12:42 AM
Ally: A worried look as she nodded. "Okay" and then she just listened, as hard as it was for her. Poor? Like...she thought about it. Like how his school bag seemed worn, and he only had a few sets of clothes. She'd never really paid attention before, but it occurred to her, for the first time in her life, that not everyone grew up in a centuries old manor houses on their own private island. "But that's just silly" she murmured, "of course you don't care about my money." It was such a foreign concept that for a second she looked blank. "Of course I know that, yes." She looked as though a previously dark part of the world had suddenly been illuminated. "Okay" she said softly, still processing. She met his eyes, leaned forward to brush his cheek with one hand and for a long moment she just sat their, silent and studying him before a feeling of certainty washed over her. "Aiden..." She took the ring off her left hand and held it up for him to see. "I've never told you anything about this have I?" It was an odd accessory for a Gryffindor, further proof she was an oddball.
12 May 14, 12:49 AM
Aiden: As he watched her face enlighten he felt like crossing his fingers he hadn't said it wrong and that she really did understand. When she touched his cheek he leaned into it, feeling that as a connection and when she studied him the anxiety didn't really leave his face. He needed her to understand, but suddenly she pulled off a ring he had seen her wear on and off and he glanced at it, before shaking his head. "Nope. It's a ring, right? Is it an antique too?" Suddenly he worried she was going to give him the ring and take the sword back!
12 May 14, 12:57 AM
Ally: She nodded, "its an antique" she confirmed, "But this one's a bit...different." She bit her lip and took a deep breath. "This is my Silver family ring. We each get one when we're old enough to..." Here she took a another breath. "To give to whomever we want, but its a one-time deal." Not something she'd take back, ever. "Its...it means your protected, taken care of. The rest of them will see you as family because that's what giving you this means. It means I'm asking them to protect you." Here she looked, if possible, a bit nervous. "I want you to have it" she told him softly, "because I want people to know that I love you enough I want you to be part of me no matter what happens." She took his hand in hers and laid it in his palm, closing his fingers over it. "It doesn't matter what people will say, Aiden. I know the truth, and now my family will know it too."
12 May 14, 01:07 AM
Aiden: Sensing something big was happening here, but he didn't understand what. It was clear in her eyes and face tho so he paid close attention. "One time...?" and then shut up. As she continued his eyes widened and he held his breath; was she saying...? A certain misty effect happened in his eyes at this very vulnerable part of her he saw and as she closed his hand around the ring, he covered her other hand with his and leaned forward impulsively to stop an inch from her face. "Ally Moon, what matters is I want to marry you. I don't care if I have to tag along trying to keep up with you the rest of my life, I know there will never be anyone else for me. Ever. You spark my soul and make me want to do more then I feel comfortable with and I need you in my life, always. I love you more then I think I can put words to and if you're going to take me into your family, I want to take you into mine too. But I don't think either of our families will let that happen this young, but you need to know my intent is to pursue you to the ends of the earth until you agree to be mine. I'm not ever going back on that intent, you hear me? because you'd better believe it."
12 May 14, 01:12 AM
Ally: Her eyes widened to saucers at the word 'marriage'. "Den..." She'd meant what she said, but marriage was still a huge deal to her. She kissed him, a combination of powerful emotions and a strong, self-preserving desire to distract him.
12 May 14, 01:17 AM
Aiden: When she kissed him he kissed her back, leaning over the box and sword, a hand on either arm, ring in his palm still as he leaned into her kissing her with the intensity of his emotions right then. When it broke his eyes were still intent as he said "I meant ever word, Alleana, no one else is going to be as persistent as I will be. Count on it."
12 May 14, 01:19 AM
Ally: She studied his eyes and in that moment there was no doubt in her mind he meant it. "I'm still not sure about...about marriage Den...not to you specifically just...in general really." She stumbled over the words, caught by the intensity in his eyes. "I do love you though...so much" She shrugged. "Maybe one day, who knows?"
12 May 14, 01:22 AM
Aiden: Unswayed he didn't hesitate. "Long as you aren't thinking something traditional, Ally, I know you. I'm not talking typical marriage." He chuckled. "I would never expect you to agree to that. I don't expect you to settle down and I have no problem going wherever you want. Part of loving someone is accepting everything they are and you just convinced me there is no one I could love more."
12 May 14, 01:25 AM
Ally: She wondered for a moment if he really knew what he was agreeing to, but there would be time to figure that part out later. They were fifteen after all. "I love you too" she assured him. "We can talk about it later" she told him softly. Like some time around graduation hopefully. "For now, can I just kiss you and enjoy the few minutes of privacy we have left before someone comes up asking how you like your present?"
12 May 14, 01:29 AM
[×] Aiden: There was a sparkle in his eyes as he leaned back an inch, held up his hand, and slid the ring on while looking her in the eyes, feeling for the very first time he was really a guy in the situation. And unusually so, he felt aggressive in a way. Lifting the box off to the side with one hand he came forward on his knees so he was slightly over her and leaned down saying "You can tell them I had to express my gratitude in the only way you will accept then," and he kissed her with passion, following her as she moved to let her pick, but doing his inexpertly best to impress upon her how much she had him in love.
12 May 14, 01:57 PM
Ally: There was, she realized, a certain look in his eye which she was not used to seeing. She watched as he slid the ring on his finger and she smirked. She hadn't mentioned to her parents her intention to give it to him, and she was rather looking forward to the expressions on her relatives' faces when he came downstairs with it on. When he moved, she looked up at him questioningly, wondering what it was he intended to do. She was not, obviously, used to being under him or anyone really for that matter. He spoke and she grinned. "I'm sure that will go over well" but despite the sardonic tone, when she met his eyes fully, there was obvious anticipation. He kissed her, and she wrapped her arms around his neck, kissing him back and lowering herself until her back was flat against the floor. Bringing her knees up, she pressed her upper body to his, heedless of her state of dress, or how damning the whole thing might look to any of the thirty people downstairs. It didn't matter, none of it mattered at all.
12 May 14, 03:41 PM
Aiden: He hadn't been sure what her reaction would have been, but he felt encouraged when she wrapped her arms around him and leaned back so he followed her down. For just a moment his body weight came down on her before he realized his error and shifted so his weight was half on a knee to the side, laying half beside her so he wouldn't crush her as he kissed her. His hand went partly under him to her side, his other falling to her waist and sliding down without thought. His eyes popped open suddenly as he encounter leg without clothing on them, startled.
12 May 14, 03:50 PM
Ally: She took a deep breath, relieved when his weight shifted. Pulling back to look at him as his hand drifted lower, she grinned at his expression. His touch felt good on her bare skin, it had been so long since...She bit her lip. Was he ready for that? She searched his eyes and reached up, running her fingers up the side of his face and into his hair. When she kissed him again, it was slower this time, more tender. Hard as it would be, she'd let him decide...well...mostly.
12 May 14, 03:56 PM
Aiden: He had never touched her leg and knowing it was exposed caused his surprise. But her expression seemed to be okay and his hands slide down and then up, hesitating when he felt the sweater there as if unsure what the limit was. But then she kissed him, slower and it caught at his attention enough that when his eyes closed in pleasure, his hand didn't pay attention to his own hesitations from thinking too much and slid up under her sweater to his body's anticipation.
12 May 14, 04:01 PM
Ally: Wanting him to relax, and more than willing to let him do what he wanted, she continued, moving down and over his jaw to this throat, she ran her hands down and up under his shirt where they found their way to his chest, easily. She was trying hard to take things as slowly as she could, but really she could only handle so much. Still, this was Aiden, and Aiden deserved...everything. She kissed his lips again, more intently as anticipation for something she knew might or might not come began to fight for her attention.
12 May 14, 04:14 PM
Aiden: As she went down to his throat for the second time that day he moaned softly, slight shudder running though him as her hands passed over his bare skin. His hand slid up much farther then he had meant to, running over her shorts to her side and nearing an area intently interesting to him when an Owl swept over their heads breaking his focus long enough for him to realize their were footsteps coming closer. With that much warning, his hand shot down and he rolled onto his back as if they were lying on the floor looking up. A second later, a young girl came around the corner, barely missing what was happening. "Ally! Aunty says it's time to come get ready for dinner! What are you all looking at?" The young one turned her head up and looked at the ceiling while Aide blew out his breath with a look of 'd@mn close.'
12 May 14, 04:21 PM
Ally: Her first impulse when she heard the owl had been annoyance, but it took only a fraction of a second longer than Aiden before she too heard the footsteps. She'd never been more grateful for his reflexes. Rolling off her he lay on his back, staring at the owl and she barely had time to right her dress and cross her legs before Isa's almost too-perfect face could be seen over the landing. "Thanks Isa" she had to work to keep the frustration from her voice. "Just an owl, someone's probably got a letter or something." She smiled, "tell mom we'll be down in a just a second, yeah?" The girl hesitated, eyes going between them as though she sensed she was missing something before she nodded. "Ally, why are your faces all read?" Thinking quickly, she smirked. "We were seeing who could hold their breath the longest. I won." Isadora grinned, "Okay" before she headed back down the stairs. When the footsteps faded, she sat up. "That was...Merlin" She sat up, "I don't think we should try that again
12 May 14, 04:21 PM
Ally: until...later tonight at least."
12 May 14, 04:27 PM
Aiden: His breath came fast and he nodded at the breathing contest part, sitting up. "Um. Yeah I have to-- tonight?" HIs expression shifted from startled to 'really?' with more eagerness then he wanted her to see. "I mean, sure!" In that way he was like any teenage boy who ad someone he adored encouraging him. Picking up the box carefully with the paper in the same hand he offered her a hand and pulled her easily to her feet when she pulled. "Are you sure? I mean, I don't want to rush you or anything..."
12 May 14, 04:30 PM
Ally: She smiled as he helped her up off the floor, fixing her hair and dusting herself off. "Yes, tonight" she confirmed. "Do you want to drop that in your room before we go down?" It would give them both some time for their coloring to go back to normal. She grinned at the rushing comment. "Trust me, Den. You're never going to have to worry if you're the one rushing me." She turned for the stairs, sashaying her hips for good measure. "When you're ready, let me know."
12 May 14, 04:34 PM
Aiden: Eyes wider as his grin couldn't stop, he nodded. Probably a good idea. If I can find it again. Might be tonight before you all find me again in this place." His eyes glued to r hips he licked his lips before muttering "About six months ago..." before it occurred to him if this happened it was a huge moment for them and him specifically. It was taking a step into a world much larger then he ever had before. Was he ready for adulthood really? It caused stumble as he got out of the attic, between his thoughts and her distracting him...
12 May 14, 04:39 PM
Ally: She laughed, "follow me." He spoke again, and she paused, turning back to smirk at him from a couple of steps below him. "What was that?" He stumbled and she grinned before she took his free hand in hers, "Come on, can't have you dying the first day, its bad press."
12 May 14, 04:43 PM
Aiden: He laughed distractedly "I already told you I would, Ally, anywhere and anytime." His blush at his comment was clear. "Oh nothing, just muttering." and took her hand with some embarrassingly shy looks, following her to the room where he went in only long enough to put the sword and wrapping paper on the bed with a look of extreme satisfaction. Out the door with her again he said "Man, I'll never have anything that cool to give you. So unfair..." He grinned and recaptured her hand asking "How in the heck do you all get everyone around a table anyway?"
12 May 14, 05:06 PM
Ally: "I meant to your room" she smiled at him cheekily. She arched an eyebrow when he blushed. "Sure" She shrugged, "You give me zen, and that's something I would never have any other way." She grinned as they exited and headed back downstairs. "Big table" she answered. As they reached the bottom she turned to him before they entered. "You ready this time?"
12 May 14, 05:11 PM
Aiden: He grinned, getting some control back. "I know." Giving her zen. Did that really count? Tho he had to resist making a face she called it zen all the time. "From your family I'm starting to understand how important that is for sure..." As she stopped he nodded taking in and letting out a breath. "Yes. I just have to think of it as a new house table. And as long a I am next to you I'll be good with anything," he said squeezing her hand. They entered as people were still coming in, a great big o of a table with the youngest mixed in with adults all around the circle, and another whole group on the inside part of the circle too.
12 May 14, 05:17 PM
Ally: She gave him a look that said 'I know, right?' She nodded, "good way to look at it" As they entered, Keela caught sight of her daughter and grinned at the sight of bare fingers. She nudged her mother-in-law and nodded in their direction as both Ally and Aiden found seats next to each other.
12 May 14, 05:20 PM
[×] Aiden: Lin nodded with a grin and whispered to Keela "Knew it! He's going to be a good kid-in-law I can tell. You'd better make sure she knows the charm" she cackled. Aiden sat next to Ally, looking round at all the people with eyes that said 'this is wild.' "Man, you would need another whole table for the great hall for this many."
12 May 14, 05:26 PM
Ally: Keela sighed, "Guess I should have seen it coming really" she touched Vin on the arm. "You might want to get to know Aiden a bit better, love" she murmured, holding up her right hand where her own Silver ring still resided. She sighed, "she does" Keela assured her. "Learned it earlier than I would have liked." Across the table, Ally nodded. "Never really thought about it, but you're right. Its always been this way." She focused on her parents. "Hi mom, dad." Keela gave her daughter a knowing look before turning her eyes on Aiden. "How did you like the attic, Aiden?"
12 May 14, 05:32 PM
Aiden: Vin looked over, saw her ring, and his eye searched the table before finding Aiden and comprehension showed. As Lin chuckled (who didn't want great great grandkids), Vin smiled. "Should have known, I'll talk to him some tomorrow, give them some time to settle in a bit first." Aiden followed her eyes across the table barely in advance of the question. Swallowing he smiled bck. "It's huge! Do you all ever throw anything away?" His mind was clearly still thinking about the furniture. Under the table he found her hand and squeezed it.
12 May 14, 06:02 PM
Ally: "I think that is a great plan" she murmured, she put a hand on his knee under the table and squeezed. It was hard watching her oldest grow up so quickly. She laughed softly at Aiden's response. "Isn't it? I couldn't believe when Vin told me they played quidditch up there until I actually saw it." She smiled at the memory and then shook her head. "Not much" and then she lowered her voice as though sharing a secret. "They're all a bunch of packrats, the lot of them." When Aiden squeezed her hand, she turned her head to smile at him. "Right, its just us. Ask mom about her collection of photo albums two miles high up there."

Aiden: Vin smiled at Aiden's comment, knowing there were things in his room and Ally's they had no idea wer there either, but onlt he really had an idea of half the contents of some rooms.. Aiden's eyes grew larger. "Quidditch? In there with all those things?!" He heard the snickers from around the table and suddenly realized how much attention he was drawing. As Ally gave him ammunition he gave her a grateful smile. Vin chuckled and jumped in "Oh certainly and one day you will want a good share of what she has saved. Be careful, Ally, mom still has those pictures of you in the snow."

Ally: Ally nodded, "of course, makes it more fun." She kissed his cheek as the conversation drew several listening ears. She turned to her father and paled. "The...you don't mean the..." She turned to Keela "Mom! You said those were gone!" Keela gave her an innocent look, which closely resembled her daughters. "Yes, love. Gone to the attic."

Aiden: Sensing something extremely embarrassing as parents had a habit of doing, Aiden listened up after she kissed his cheek. "Oh I'm sure my mom has some embarrassing ones of me too, Ally, don't worry. I'm far more interested in who you are now then back then." It was his turn to kiss her cheek, hoping to lessen her fears about his being interested in old pictures.

Ally: She smiled gratefully at him. "Does your mom have pictures of you trying to be a snowman?" She'd gone running stark naked into the snow, convinced she could do it if she tried hard enough. She was already part way there with the hair anyway. The closest she'd gotten was blue hair in a windblown style, deep blue eyes and extremely pale skin. The fact there was photographic evidence of this experience had haunted her most of her life. She gave her mother a miffed look. "Are you sure you weren't in Slytherin?" Keela just grinned. shrugged, and looked pointedly at both mother-in-law and husband on either side. "What can I say? It rubs off on you after a while."
12 May 14, 06:54 PM
Aiden: "Snowman? No. Probably more naked baby pics though. I don't really care, it's not me so much. I'm only the present, not the past. Can't be embarrassed about what you did as a child if you don't let it bother you." He smiled, wondering if mom had far worse stuff then that. Possibly. Vin winced at Aiden's words and thought Ally had picked one maybe too smart. But he defended himself easily with "Oh I think we just cause what was hidden to come to the surface. Don't worry, Ally, they aren't going in any newspapers."

Ally: She exhaled, nodding at Aiden to tell him he was right, missing her dad's wince entirely, though she'd have enjoyed it very much if she had in fact seen it. She rolled her eyes, but she was smiling, clearly affected by Aiden's calm almost as though she'd been visibly spelled that way. "Its all good, dad. Aiden's right, its in the past" which was a far cry from what she'd normally have done, which would have been far more expressive and possibly very loud. She focused for a few seconds, on her mother, who looked perfectly at ease. "Do you have the ones you took of that place in China? I'd like to show them to Aiden if that's all right." Keela looked up, startled. "I...yes, we still have them, but they're in the bedroom. I can get them for you later." Minus a few of course.

Aiden: The fact she listened to him made him feel more at ease with other's paying attention so he relaxed. "You went to China?" he asked suddenly very interested clearly. He slipped his arm around her waist as food started to be passed down the table and said softly "No rush. But it sounds interesting..."
