Preston was ten when he first saw a werewolf, he swore he'd never forget the way one looked, the lost look in it's eyes as it struggled to hold on to the humanity it didn't have at that moment. He was twelve when his uncle threw him in a situation with a vampire, he promised he wouldnt forget the way the blood left a trail as it gravity took over and it felt towards the ground. He promised to up hold the family motto the code of conduct, the oaths he swore. The ones he could never forget because they haunted his dreams.
There for he didnt cry as he saw his brother run, wonded into the forest a monster....he wounded. Nor did he turn to face the boy on the floor bleeding because the object of his affection had blood stained lips. He didnt even notice he was bleeding until he was far away from the drama that was his friends. He ripped part of his shirt holding it to the wound, a couple of remedial healing spells turned the open wound to a large angry red scar. Another one for the collection, he could feel Porters anguish through the link, the moon was starting fade away, perhaps he was gaining his humanity....no porter wasn't a human anymore...he felt other wise.
Staggering slightly he walked the down the hallway fully aware that his shirt was drenched in blood, both his and Porters and he hadnt let go of his wand or the silver dagger. He held on to both like a life line, like they were the only indicators of who he really was. He muttered the password, still in a state of disbelief...how could he not know. His own twin was an...an abomination, a low life...a...no it was his brother the same boy he grew up with. Even though he fought against it, all the pieces were clicking together, the hunt how he disappeared, for seven freaking years his brother had been lying to him. As if he wasnt trust worthy as if Preston would jump at the chance to kill his older brother...he wasnt the monster.
It scared him he found it easier to forgive the redhead, of her sins than his own brother. Her actions were because of Drew not herself and a small part of him laughed bitterly at the lies he told himself. Drew had just amplified what had already been there...he had....Pj let that though trail off as he looked around the common room.
He frooze as he saw a girl, obviously a younger year, then looked down at this hand gripping the dagger so tight he was cutting into his palm, He hoped porter could feel the bite of the silver in his own palm, if the link was still active in his mind, he doubted it. He was no longer his brother, but even as he thought it he knew it wasnt true.
"Uh....Hi?" He said waving weakly at the girl before sinking to the ground against the cold wall, the best part of the dungeons, the stone wasn't covered, he could feel the rough edges against his back. He knew he needed his emergancy kit and the hospital wing...st.munos but he wouldn't go. He refused to alert his uncle to what happened, no he woukdnt allow anybody to be hurt worse. Evenif it meant his mind was turmoil, even if he was going against those beliefs held onto so tightly. "Did you go to the dance...was it fun?" Managing to put a small smile on his face but it came out as a grimance, damn he forgotten how much werewolf claws hurt.

IF YOU CAME TO ME EMPTY HEARTED The dance had ended, leaving the students to return to their houses for bed. Elianna could say that she had a decent time, but it wasn't the best. She had gone for a bit with a few of her girl friends seeing as she didn't have a date, but that didn't bother her at all. Ellie was just happy to get away for a bit, even though the whole time the burning desire to continue studying and do her schoolwork reminded her of just how foolish it was for her to be a dance. She could hear her parents the whole time. 'Why are you at some silly dance instead of studying? What is a dance going to do for your future?' Seriously, the young blonde felt like she couldn't have any fun without worrying about not being the perfect daughter. But, despite all that, she did go just to see what it would be like and she didn't regret it. It had been beautiful, and still fun despite the annoying voices in her head.
That didn't mean she couldn't stay up a bit after the dance though. As soon as she returned to the common room, she immediately went up to change before finding herself back in the common room on the couch with her nose in a book. It was one of her textbooks for Defense Against the Dark Arts as Professor Grimp was another adult she worked hard for. After all, she still felt like she owed him since she set his robes on fire her first year. In her defense, it wasn't her fault. She was only trying to do what everyone else was when her magic finally kicked in and sparks flew out of her wand. Ever since then she had been fine with magic, but it would be a lie to say that wasn't an embarrassing moment in her past.
She must have gotten herself engrossed in the book as she didn't even hear anyone come in once everyone else was in bed until a voice rang out. Her blue eyes peeked over the book to see who it was, causing her to slowly lower the book, her eyes staring as she tried to decide how to handle the situation. "Um.. hello to you too?" She studied him for a moment, taking in the sight, as well as what he was holding. He was bleeding and didn't look so great. Setting her book on the couch, she stood and made her way over to him, kneeling down beside him. She had seen him around before, but she didn't actually know him. "Are you alright? I mean, obviously you're not because you had been bleeding, but..." She paused for a moment, now looking at where the wound had been. "Do you need anything?" She decided to ask instead of continuing with her rambling.
When he had asked about the dance, she nodded. "I did go and it was fun, I suppose." She was quite curious as to why he was asking her about the dance when he was hurt. Shouldn't he be in the hospital wing or seeking some kind of medical care? What even happened? She had so many questions, but she knew it was none of her business to ask them, so she went along with the conversation he decided to start. "What about you? Did you go?" Maybe he would open up about what had happened in time. After all, if it was personal, he might not want to share seeing as he didn't even know her. Of her, yes, but not her. PJ seemed to have the worst luck, quite literally. As soon as Drew's father found out, his uncle would know. He had to find away to.protect everyone...they were just kids. Maybe he only wanted to protect one person.... but that Valdez kid..it was all his fault and he just wanted to drown the boy in holy water, stuff some garlic down his throat and of course the wooden stake. Logically Pj knew most of that stuff was just myths but it made him feel better. Looking at the girl fussing over him he smiled slightly, he had hoped that no one was up this late and of course he would run into someone. He didnt know how to explain his appearance or the fact he had angry claw marks on his side. Nor did he know how to explain the other scars. Sighing he rubbed his face with his wand hand and let go of the dagger. "Uh...yeah im fine, or I will be I just need to rest a bit."
He needed a blood replenishing potion but he had no wish to go to the hospital wing and he was too weakened to summon his kit. The professors would be looking for him no doubt and he had to at least bandage the cut, until he could sneak out. He groaned softly, he couldn't concentrate enough to summon the emergency first aid kit in his dorm, perhaps the girl could do it. Why should he trust her though? Giving his experience he wasn't to good at judging girls. Maybe it was his fault, PJ wasn't meant to have anything serious, but she seemed nice enough...enough was all he had at the moment.
"Uhm...could you summom my first aid kit from my dorm, just a simple accio, names pj by the way it helps to be specific" He mumbled, wrapping part of his shirt around his cut hand. He really hated messing up his clothes, it was one of his nicest shirts. He waited for the girl to either help or act like every other Slytherin girl and give him attitude. He didn't mind, he just hoped her help didn't come with a price....most things did.
"Im glad you had fun, was your date a jerk or did you go solo? I probably should've went solo" He said thinking about Bryony...he had broken his promise to her another reason to hang his head in shame. He couldn't even keep a simple promise how was he supposed keep people safe. Hell was there anything to keep them save from or was it all a big manipulation..a lie, was his mom right? He shook those thoughts away, he needed to stay away and because of that he needed to keep talking. "Yeah I went, unfortunately some stuff came up and I had to leave my date, she probably upset...broke my promise." He said shrugging, biting back a wince as he moved a part of his body he shouldn't have.
PJ was going to kill his best friend, and then lecture him on the proper way to kill somebody because he was pretty sure the first rule was never get caught and the second through fourth was location location location. "Im Preston by the way, Preston Sherwood but people call me PJ, Id shake your hand but you know blood and stuff" Said smiling sheepishly, he was positive the blood on the dagger wasnt just his.

IF YOU CAME TO ME EMPTY HEARTED The last thing Ellie thought she would be dealing with that night was an injured boy. It wasn't like the sight repulsed her or even made her squeamish. Just the opposite. She had grown up with two older brothers, meaning she saw many bloodied wounds in her time. But the thing was, both of her brothers were completely different from each other. While one taught her to be tough, and to be cautious, the other was more subtle about things and she found herself learning things from him just by watching. He was most intelligent in potions and herbs, and growing up with that it was easy to pick up little things. Between the two of them, she had quite the balance, despite the fact they both had a tense nature about them. Furrowing her brows at the boy, she crossed her arms. "Oh, yeah you look perfectly fine." She told him, sarcasm lacing her tone. "You do need to rest, but don't fall asleep okay? I don't want to have to drag you to the hospital wing this late because I'm afraid you won't wake up."
The whole time she sat beside him, Elianna wouldn't allow her light brown eyes to leave him. Now that she had seen him the way he was and was practically brought into whatever mess he was in without knowing what had happened, she felt responsible for him. Not that she wanted to, but if she left him and something happened, she'd most likely be overcome with guilt. She didn't want anyone's life on her hands. Sure, she didn't cause the injury, but she had the opportunity to help him; to make sure he stayed alive and got better. Relaxing again, she nodded when he asked the favor of her. Pulling out her wand from her back pocket she waved it swiftly as she called for what he asked, the kit almost immediately appearing in her hands. Setting it down beside him, the corners of her mouth turned up in a small smile. "There you go." She told him simply, sitting back onto the ground instead of continuing to kneel. "Here, let me help." She told him, reaching out without permission to hold the shirt to his wounded hand. That way he could have a free hand to dig out what he needed from the kit.
"Neither." She told him when he asked another question about the dance. "I went with some of my girl friends. There's no one I'm interested in right now, so no date, and it's pretty lame to go alone in my opinion." She chuckled. "Ouch. Poor girl. You know, a proper gentleman always keeps his promises." She said with a slight smirk and playful glint in her eyes. However, even though she was trying to be lighthearted, she couldn't help but continue to worry. She didn't know him, but she couldn't help but worry over the boy. Maybe she shouldn't as it was stress she didn't need on top of everything else, and she didn't know why he was injured. Maybe it was his fault. Maybe he had done something wrong and deserved it. Yet, she found herself caring and wishing there was something she could do.
But there was. Hitting her like a ton of bricks, her face lit up almost instantly. He had just given her his name, but the only thing on her mind was the small box she kept tucked away in her dorm. Giving him back his wounded hand, she scrambled to her feet and started heading off toward the stairs hurriedly. "Very nice to meet you Preston. Nice name by the way. Be right back." Her words came out rushed as she made her way to the stairs, running up them as soon as she reached the beginning of them. Finding herself at the end of her bed, she dropped to the floor and reached under her bed, pulling out a medium sized wooden box. Smiling brightly at it, she got back to her feet and rushed back down stairs, taking back her place beside the boy. "I don't know why I didn't think of this before, but I have a few already made potions that might come in handy. My brother gave them to me. He acts like he doesn't care, but I know he does. Typical brother." She laughed lightly, opening the box to reveal different potions. "Let's see." She said in thought, her eyes scanning over them. Pulling out a few, she slid them to him. "There's Essence of Dittany, Murtlap Essence, and... hm.. I forgot the name of this one. I'm sure it's something totally obvious too." She said, pointing to a potion of red coloring. "Use them. You need them more than I." Shifting to get comfortable again, she once again took his wounded hand, removing the shirt only enough to look at the wound before replacing the material. "Oh, I'm so sorry. I got so caught up in everything I forgot to tell you my name. I'm Elianna Rosier. My friends call me Ellie." I'D FIND THE PIECES TO MAKE YOU WHOLE credit Delusional

PJ laughed at the sarcasm in her voice, only a girl could worry about you and give you sass at the same time. Even if he was in pain and wounded he could appreciate someone saying true to themselves under extreme circumstances. He'd seen hunters lose their cool for less, though he was a bit distrubed, she couldn't be older than 15 and she seemed almost used to it. "Ill have you know, this look is in, in America" Wincing as tried to sit up more, maybe he was more hurt than he orginally thought.
Though there it was he was doing it again, judging a girl by how she looked and not how she acted. He couldn't help the amused smile that came on his face at her words, she was cute. He inwardly groaned at that, he coulsnt afford to bring another girl into a his drama. He would apologize to Bryony and ask to be friends, because she was a good person and had low-self esteem when she should (even if she denied it). "Of course ill stay awake, assuming im awake, but passing out and dreaming about beautiful girl healing your wounds...well isn't that every guys fantasy?" Of course PJ would flirt when he was teetering on the edge of unconsciousness, it was who he was. Though he was slightly out of it, he could only use cliched material, surely she'd forgive for his cheesyness. He expected her to roll her eyes and laugh it off, maybe humor him to keep his mind off the pain.
He gave her a grateful look when she summoned the kit, something he wouldn't ever admit to. If he was sane right now, as in not troubled by everything he'd be upset that a strange girl had seen him at his weakest. The false bravado, the fascade of being okay wouldn't work on her when he was pretending to be okay, not when she had seen what he looked like now. "Thanks," Muttered loud enough for her to hear, surrendering his hand because she hadnt asked and he was already past pretending. He took out a some bandages and a pain potion, cream for his scar, but he didnt have any blood replenishing potion. He inwardly cursed because he had been meaning to brew some but forgot, he was at school and didnt thi.m he needed it.
"Quite a lost to male population in my opinion, im sure many hearts broke when they saw you with your friends, missing out an all." He said genuinely, it was hard to tell if he was fliritng or making a observation, hell he was to busy to tell himself. "Yes, I know alot of people debate about my status as a gentleman, my friend got into some trouble and I thought I would be back in time, I just got caught up, ya know?" He said being as vague as possible, she deserved to know the schematics since she was playing nurse.
"M'kay"He replied assuming she went to wash the blood off her hands or something, she had already helped him enough. He managed to disinfect his scar and banaged them before she came back, which was rather quick. The pain potion worked better than he thought but he had used up alot of energy, the blood loss was starting to get to him. He raised an eyebrow at her words, focusing on them to see what she brought. As she pulled out the potions one by one she. Categorized their uses, and then she pulled out a red one and he nearly hugged her. He was aware that he was wounded and bloody and she was just an innocent.
He picked up the red potion and downed it with out batting an eyelash "Its a blood replenishing potion, and I pretty much owe you one, you dont seem like the expensive jewelry type though" he said a thought full look on his face as he downed a pepper up potion, feeling the foggyness melt away. He groaned at her last name and realized why she looked so familiar...he knew her brother.
"Ellie, pretty name and yeah I know your brother, dont think he likes me." he explained taking the essance if dittany and pouring some on his cut, wincing lightly as it closed he bandaged his hand in similar fashion to his torso.
"Any particular reason you're up so late?" He asked wondering if she w was waiting for her brother

IF YOU CAME TO ME EMPTY HEARTED Seeing him wince multiple times made her heart sink. She had been in multiple situations such as this with her brothers, but when it was someone else it just... felt different. Like it meant more to make sure this person was alright. When it was her brothers, it was all training with their parents or other family members, but this, this was real. Something had happened to this boy that was causing him so much pain and putting him in danger of death. Hopefully death wasn't calling his name though, because she really didn't want to witness that, no matter who it was. Hearing him joke, she shook her head as she allowed herself to laugh even in such circumstances. It would do neither of them any good to panic, so keeping calm and even playing around would be good for the both of them. "I knew there was something off about that accent of yours. Nonetheless, the last I heard, Americans were trying to save lives, not wear death on their sleeve." She teased him gently. She didn't know what it was about him, but he was fairly easy to get along with, even with the state he was in. She wondered what he was like when he wasn't trying to keep himself alive.
Rolling her eyes at his joke, she shook her head at him. What a flirt this boy was. Maybe it was the pain talking. Some people did anything they could to keep their minds off of what they were facing; what they could possibly end up as. "You just keep digging yourself a deeper whole mister. However, I suppose there was a compliment thrown in there as well, so thank you." She told him with a smile, brushing some hair out of her face, before she started to pull it up into a ponytail. As her eyes continued to stayed locked on the boy, she noticed his facial demeanor change when she had retrieved his kit. She could tell he was grateful, even if all he said was a simple thanks. That's all she needed though, as she wasn't expecting much. "Yeah, of course. Don't mention it." She said simply, shifting again as she crossed her legs and placed her hands in her lap.
When he spoke again, she only sighed. There he went again with the flirting. At least she thought he was flirting. She actually couldn't quite tell if she was still trying hard to or just paying a compliment. "Well, I did look good, if I do say so myself." She joked, chuckling at the thought. She wasn't a vain person, but she didn't find herself ugly either. She knew that she was a pretty girl, always had been, and she was growing up to be a lovely young woman. Elianna soon found herself serious again when he talked about his date again and let on a little more about what happened. Though, he still didn't tell her exactly what took place. She didn't blame him, and she wouldn't push it out either. If he wanted to tell her, he would. Otherwise she would leave him to do as he pleased. "I see. Well, things happen and I'm sure she'll understand if you give her an explanation." She tried to assure him. She didn't know who this girl was, but she could tell he cared about who he took to the dance, so she wished the best for him.
When she had returned to his side, Ellie had noticed that he had wrapped up and was looking slightly better. However, not well enough. The potions she presented to him seemed to be of some use, well a couple of them. But the last one seemed to strike home. "Oh, right! That's the name of it." She said, glad he knew what it was. "How silly of me to forget that name. I knew it was something obvious." She laughed, watching him drink the potion as well as use the one made with dittany to help cure his woods. With a soft smile, she shook her head at the boy. "While jewelry is nice, you are correct. But on another note, you don't owe me anything. I'm just glad you ran into me and not someone else." Chuckling, she thought about the possibilities. "For all you know, you could have ended up with someone who would pass out at the sight of you. Or worse, someone who would rat you out to the hospital wing, or a professor. Me however - my lips are sealed." Unless of course he passed out on her, but she didn't see that happening anytime soon. He was starting to look much better than what he had and that was a sure sign he would be just fine.
Closing her box, she set it off to the side before turning her attention back to him. When he made a most unpleasant sound at her name, her eyebrow instinctively raised. But then he explained to her that her brother doesn't like him. "Really? Hm. I guess I could see that. My brother doesn't like most people. Well, neither of them do. I have two, but I'm assuming you're talking about Zachary?" She asked, looking at him with curiosity. "None the matter though. He'll get over it and all the more reason to befriend you." She told him with a smirk. She adored her brothers and would do anything for them, but messing with them was fun as well. Not that she would use Preston for that. She just wasn't going to back off from making a friend just because they would disapprove. They were not her boss, nor were they in control of her. She was her own person and would make her own decisions. "I was actually studying." She replied to his question, soon realizing he would probably find her crazy for studying so late and after the dance on top of that. "Don't ask. I'm just loony like that. Can't you tell?" PJ laughed and rolled his eyes, everyone always commented on the accent. Even if he could tell that everyone else had an accent also, he never commented on it. Of course he thought girls with accents were cute and dating an American girl didn't count as exotic from his point of view, neither did dating a British one. His bestfriend, quickly got him over the whole british accent thing, heaven knows the boy could use it as a weapon of mass destruction. "it's always the accent that gives me away, I tried a british one for awhile but I laughed to much to keep it up.Youd be surprise whats considered fashionable in America, mini puppies in purses...the indignity" He said recalling a magazine He'd seen in his mom's room. Weird fashion and animal cruelty wasn't something he was into though he laughed at the picture.
"Im pretty sure, thier filling up the hole, darling as for the compliment, I supposed I should've said someone thing like dying and going to heaven couple with being nursed to health by angel, but thats so movie played out clichèd"
Okay maybe he had a problem, he was sure he should've been worrying about himself and not the pretty girl in front of him. Still je couldn't help but get lost in the conversation, pushing everything away and moving on. That's what he was trained to do move on, forget the pain and the go to the next mission. He still couldn't shake the feeling of horror at how the night turned out. Even of Bryony was more of a friend and the reheaded vampire was just a passing fancy, everything still hurt. Perhaps PJ cared to much even when he didn't show...he didn't allow that thought to cross his mind. He would cut Porter out his life and ignore the redhead, it wasn't like they were. He just nodded at her words, he wouldn't mention it...ever and he was sure it had to do with his pride, perhaps the jerkish side of him that wanted to push everything away and scream at the unfairness of life.
As vindictive as PJ was, there was something's he would do and he was sure making this situation, the one in the common room and the forest or the hospital wing worse. He couldn't deal with that kid of emotional stress...he didn't want to. "Oh? I dont doubt it, I also looked rather dashing...even of my appearance now suggest otherwise....I was male model good looking" He said giving her a goofy smile, completely out of place with his current look.
He let his hand, rest in her lap simply because it was easier than fighting. It's funny how such simple things such as teenage drama can be the one thing that breaks a conditioned warrior. No he wasn't a warrior...he was a mercenary....a murderer someone that did a towns dirty work so they could keep their hands clean of supernatural blood. He was half expecting to be tasked with a witch hunt, even though that was incredibly ironic and hypocritical. "Yeah, I hope so because I cant afford to lose another friend" She was a girl so she would know how other girls thought right? At any rate He'd figure it out in the morning, when things were a lot clearer...or at least had a chance to calm down.
"Its not silly, it just means you'd never been the potion of needing it bad enough, thats a good thing." He said kindly, somehow he felt the whole not knowing thing was deeper than it seemed. It wasn't his job nor in his best interests to placate her doubts or fears or anything really...but he wanted to. She had shown an extreme amount of kindness and he wanted to do the same and not because he felt obligated. PJ was always doing something because he felt obligated, dances, parties, meetings and family gatherings; were all things he didnt really like. Especially after a long trip or mission he just wants sleep.
"I knew my charm was working you" He said snorting and batting his eyes lashes at her the way he saw girls do to him. "Well there must be something you want or need, ill try my best to help" Not liking the idea of being indebted to her, but also wanting to help her in someway. PJ laughed at her explanation and shook his head.
"Squeamish students I can deal with, snitches are more traitors and Im sure it would've ended worse for them than me, after I escaped the hospital wing if course, I hear the head nurse makes his patients prisoners" He whispered the last part to her as if it was secret completely happy with his new range of motion. He raised an eyebrow, and sighed a small smile on his face.
"Pffft, at least let me buy you a cup a coffee or something for you appreciated silence. It'll heal my wounded pride" He said giving her puppy dog eyes and holding his bandaged hand of her his heart for dramatic effect. He resisted batting his eyelashes because he ess pretty sure the laughter was in his eyes.
He shrugged, he was sure that Zachary wouldn't want someone like him around his kid sister, even though that comparison didn't sound right to him. She was the type of girl he would respect rather than try to protect. She had already proven she could stay calm in crazy situtations and that was impressive enough. "Yeah, me and him have common...friends." He sugar coated the last part unware if she she had any knowledge about her brother's affiliation with the black army.
"Studying? You make me like the badboy on the motorcycle trying to corrupt the auror's daughter" Laughing and shaking his head, wondering why she was studying at the beginning if the year. Classes had barely gotten tough or maybe that was the ones he was in. If he was correct she was a fifth year and had to take all the core classes, he really felt for her. He ditched classes half the time anyways. "Yeah, most people run away from the guy with a bloody dagger and wand in his hand, not try and help him" He gave her a fond type of look...smile? Not that he would admit it, as it was gone as quick as it had come. He summoned a shirt from his room and vanished his bloody one, scourgifying the blood from off him before putting it on. "What were you studying?" curious as to what she was doing before hr interrupted her.

IF YOU CAME TO ME EMPTY HEARTED Ellie's eyes lit up with excitement and curiosity at his words, making her lean forward with anticipation, a bright smile upon her lips. "Oh, you totally shouldn't have told me that. You do realize you have to give me your best British accent now right?" She teased, laughing as she she leaned back again, placing her elbow on her knee and her face in her hand. It took a moment, but she soon remembered that she had his blood on her hands and pulled her face back, looking at her hand. "Well, that was smart Elianna." She mumbled to herself sarcastically, using her sleeve to wipe whatever blood that might have gotten on her face off. "Did I get it all off?" She asked him, turning her cheek toward him so he could see. "By the way, I think I know what you're talking about with the dogs in the purses. I've seen pictures. It's quite silly." She chuckled thinking about it. She couldn't ever imagine doing that to her dog. She was sure her dog would bite her before it ever stepped foot in a bag. Snowball was small, but not small enough for something like that. "I have a dog. He's a miniature american eskimo. He's up in my dorm right now though."
Rolling her eyes at him again, she instinctively reached forward and starting cleaning up some of the mess on the ground beside them, setting his kit aside and gathering the trash. She then stood and walked to the nearest trash bin to put it in. "You are so full of yourself." She laughed at him, looking back at the boy on the floor. "But I prefer the first line you chose, as I highly doubt I'm anything close to an angel. You'd just be delusional to make that statement." She joked with him as she made her way back and sat down again. Ellie wasn't too sure about his flirting with her. She wasn't against it on a normal basis, as she could be quite flirty herself, when she was in the mood, but he was just talking about another girl. What if he liked her? What if she liked him? She didn't want to cause issues with her, even if she didn't know her. It just wasn't right. Plus, she didn't want to be some other girl he thought he could mess with on the side. She had much more self respect than that. However, she didn't know the story and they could be just friends that went to the dance together. So no judgment for now, but if she found out otherwise, she would not be happy.
"There you go again being quite the charmer. But thank you. And I'm sure you looked very handsome. You still would if you didn't have all.." She waved her hands around to motion to the mess that was him. "that going on." Not that he wasn't still handsome. He was very much so and he seemed like the type she would fall for, if she was completely sure of his status. But she wasn't going to pry and she wasn't interested at the moment. For now, he was just another guy. The only difference was the circumstances of which they met. At least she could say this was a new one, something that's never happened before. And she found herself not minding either. Sure, she had been worried and she would have rather been dealing with a not so injured person, but his company was nice.
Her eyes becoming downcast, Ellie started playing with his hand that was lying in her lap; tracing her finger around his palm as he spoke of the girl again. "Well, I can't promise she'll forgive you. I mean, I don't know her. But a good explanation is always a good place to start." She tilted her head slightly in thought as she wondered who the girl was. It was true that she couldn't make such a promise to him, but she did hope that the girl would forgive him and continue to be his friend. He seemed to have been through a lot, as well as enough. In her opinion, he could use a break. "Do you... uh.. like her?" She asked, looking back up at him again and ceasing to mess with his hand. She knew it was none of her business and she still didn't want to pry, but she didn't think it was a question that would hurt anything. It was a normal question, that anyone would have asked.
It took all her will to not laugh at the boy as he batted his eyelashes at her, but she couldn't stop the laugh that escaped her. "Oh my gosh, what are you doing? Don't ever do that again!" She exclaimed through her giggles, shaking her head at him. "And if any bit of charm was working, it has disappeared now. Good job." What a goofball this one was, but she enjoyed it. He was making her night much more interesting than it would have been if she were to just continue studying. As much as she knew she shouldn't be kept from her work, she was glad for the distraction. Trying to be perfect all the time could become quite exhausting. It seemed like a roller coaster of laughing and seriousness though, as she calmed herself once again when he mentioned helping her again. "I don't want your help." She said simply before realizing how rude it could have come across. "I mean, I don't need it, but... haven't you ever been helped without having the expectation of returning the favor before?" She asked him curiously. She didn't mind his want to repay her for her kindness, but he really didn't need to. Ellie was glad to help and to be the one to do it.
"Well now." She said in response to his threat to those who might have crossed him if they were in her position. "I know now not to make you angry." She said, finally returning his hand to him. She didn't even know why she still held on to it. He was fine now and he was a big boy. She didn't need to hold his hand. "But don't worry, I never had the intention of crossing you anyway. Nor do I plan on it in the future. Unless of course you cross me first." She said with a wink before chuckling again. Ellie was quite the sweetheart when she wanted to be, but when someone pushed her to far or did something to someone she cared about, a whole other side of her appeared. She was raised by a dark family after all. And with that comes that darkness that was pressed into her mind. But she was different from most of her family and she was okay with that. She didn't want to harm people. She just wanted to do her own thing and make her parents proud in other ways. But they didn't know that she was against their ways, and she wasn't planning on having that conversation anytime soon.
What was it with him and his goofy faces? And what was it about him that kept her laughing? Elianna was sure it had been a long time since she laughed this much, even with her closest friends. Most of them were like her in the sense that they studied a lot and didn't get out much. What a sad life she lived. Oh well. "I suppose I can accept that offer. Yes. I will allow you to buy me coffee if it's the only thing that will save your poor pride." She teased him, copying his motion by holding her heart. "If you two have common friends, why doesn't he like you?" She asked, dropping her hand into her lap, curious about his and her brother's relationship. It came as no surprise that Zachary didn't like someone, but that didn't mean she wasn't wondering about the reason behind it. Maybe there were more things about this boy she didn't know beside the secret of how he was injured. It would be a lie to say she wasn't intrigued by him.
"Ha! The things you come up with." She teased once more. "Well, my father is not an auror, but I study to keep my marks up and I do that to keep my parents proud. My parents used to think I would be a squib." Ellie told him, actually a bit surprised she had. It had seemed to just slip out as it wasn't something she normally told people. Pausing for a moment in thought, she looked down again and fiddled with her hands as her brows furrowed. She hated how much pressure her parents put on her and the fact that they would have so easily disowned her if she had of been a squib. It was always a topic that hit her hard. "Yeah.. I just.. I guess I never once thought about the blood or your weapons, just that you were hurt and needed help." She said sincerely, her playful nature ceasing for the time being. Mentioning her parents was never fun to her and seemed to always get her down no matter how happy she might have been only seconds ago. Looking up again to meet his eyes, it was even clearly written across her face. "It was just Defense Against the Dark Arts. That's all." I'D FIND THE PIECES TO MAKE YOU WHOLE credit Delusional

PJ laughed and shook his head "I never said it was good british accent" he said laughing through the cliched miss match accent. Only complying because her joking was keeping him from closing his eyes. He couldn't help but smile and her cutness and he was sure that she would be his downfall...they...them...girls. He always found away to make them the victim, to protect them even when he shouldn't. He wasn't the type to ever fight a girl unless necessary, he hated when it was. "Almost" He said moving his clean hand to wipe the rest of her cheek. "There". He wiped his hand on his pants, inwardly groaning at his ruined clothes. Laughing he shrugged a bit slowly "Yeah, my animagus is a wolf, but if I was a little dog I think I'd hate being in a purse, motion sicknesses doesn't sound all that fashionable. I figured you'd be a cat person, I have a Ferret...named Bob." Shuddering at the thought of being a purse dog, he vaguely began contemplating the irony of his animagus form and his brothers condition...he could've helpped if Porter would've just said something.
"Well, thats one way to put it, I like to think of it as confidence and high self-worth." He said giving her a innocent look that was probably not something he could pull off. "Oh? Why does have to be a line, why cant it be the truth. Yeah, not agreeing to the doubt of your angel status but I prefer less cliched 'lines'" He said using his free hand to make air quotes. Why was talking to the girl so much easier than he knew it should be. Perhaps it was because she had shown him, she could handle situations like this, they happened more than he cared to mention. The good news was he always came out on top, the bad news he ways felt guilty afterwards and tonight was no different. "Im completely sane thank you very much, and you happen to be incredibly pretty, id be delusional not to let you know that, and as I stated before im sane" He was unsure as to why he was flirting still, he wasn't sure about the sudden hesitation in her. He probably only noticed because he was still in defense mode, but it was there. The slight sense of doubt that he usually took advantage, but this wasn't a fight nor was this a girl he would take advantage of.
"I try my best, and that compliment does wonders for my ego darling and yeah, even I have exactly to admit I look a mess." when she looked away from him he could hear both parts of his brain, the evil side and the generally nice side kick him. She had helpped him and he made her sad, or rather brought up something unpleasant. Perhaps it was his ego, something commented on frequently by many exes both male and female, he was starting to feel bad about his cockiness but managed to push down the guilt. "Yeah, I just dont know how to explain, I was kinda hoping to make her first dance thing memorable in a good way." He winced as soon as he said those words, he immediately knew why she had put up the defenses so to speak. PJ was such a detached idiot sometimes, another comment from one of his exes that seemed to be true."As a friend, of course its kind of refreshing, to have a friend that openly laughs and says exactly whats on her mind, im not a very good friend for choosing another friend over her, but he was in a bind and yeah, im entirely to loyal for my own good." Hoping he stressed the word friend enough to appease her, he relaxed. PJ wws many things, ruthless, self-servering, a murderer, a hunter and all around class one prick, but he would never cheat or use a girls insecurities against her. He had a sister and he wouldn't want some jerk doing that to her...if they could even get close enough. Without knowing it PJ made himself a hypocrite, not realizing the girl he was flirting with probably shared a dorm with his sister.
"Hey, now maybe my skills need work, but if I dont practice how will I get better at the eyelash thing? I bet you can give me some pointers" He said smirking, feeling a bit better after all the nonsense of his health was dealt with. When the serious subject was broached again he nodded "Nope there was always a catch, and I wouldn't cross you either, I figure I have enough people trying to 'do me in' I dont need more enemies" he said shrugging his shoulders.
"We'll then ma'am I'd be honored if youd agree to this weekend" he asked with a raised eyebrow, in a country accent that was much better than his british one. American was American after all. He rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly as he moved to stand up. Offering a hand out to help her (like the gentleman he was) and walked over to the couch. "Well, these...friends we have in common are more like connections, we run im the same circle, but we arent friends." Trying to explain it in the most sugar coated way possible.
"Ouch that had to be tough, luckily my parents werent that into the pureblood supremacy thing, I was watched for magical growth, my Uncle however, he's obsessed with it and yeah I've grown up with him because of family reasons, male heir and all." Completely glossing over the fact his family were hunters, if she didn't know frok his last name, he wouldn't tell her until he had to. "Well im glad, and gross, I swear Professor Grimp has it out for half of Slytherin." He as he got comfortable on the couch, picking up her book he mentally groaned fifth year like Penny "Books only teach you so much, practical experience is best if you need help studying, id be all fot helping...I have two siblings as reference sources in case you need to test my qualifications, though my other sibling....my twin is older than me so, he's no help." Not even mentioning the fact he didn't want her within fifty yards of the werewolf. He still managed to say all that with a cheeky smile.
