She grinned when he reached her and it broadened. "Yes, the roof. There's something I want to show you." She had never taken anyone outside her family to the roof, not even Cameron, though she had considered it a time or two. She tightened her grip on his hand. It was a piece of herself that thus far had belonged only to her, and she wanted to share it with him. She moved faster than she normally would have, knowing there would be teachers out on a night like this searching for students getting into things they shouldn't. Technically speaking, they were getting out of things, not into them, but she doubted whoever was on patrol would appreciate semantics. They reached the tower, and she crossed the room to the window, taking a moment to simply enjoy the view. She turned to him, reached up, and brushed the hair out of his eyes before she leaned up and kissed him again, softer this time and more tender. Lifting the bag off her shoulder, she let it drop. When she pulled away, she smiled. "Ready for your first climbing adventure?" She knelt down, getting the ropes and straightened again. "I'm going to help you" she told him. "I need you to spread your legs a bit" she offered him a slightly mischievous grin as she went to work, being much more careful than she normally was herself. When she was finished, she went through the same routine on herself. Looking out, she murmured a soft incantation and another set of ropes unfurled from above, hanging just beyond the window ledge. "Don't freak out" she told him. "I promise this is easy." After getting them both situated, she began the climb much more slowly than she was accustomed to, trying both to anchor him and allow him to get his bearings. A few minutes later, when they reached the rooftop, she disentangled herself and then him, laying the gear off to the side, she sat and patted the space next to her. Turning to look at him, she grinned. "How was that?"Words: 351 Lyrics: The Middle - Jimmy Eat World Outfit: hereNotes: Oh boy. @shava4444

Taking a deep breath he nodded. They were about to break some school rules and he was agreeing with her to do so. That was a big step for him and her kiss helped greatly to getting him to calm down, feeling a little touch of a thrill about this! She was taking him to a very personal space and he felt touched at that, realizing there was something up there that was special to her in particular. When they reached the tower she kissed him again, causing his return kiss to also be...delicate, personal. Already he was learning from her that softer could be even more special...
How had she ever learned to be soft, this warrior of adventures? He did not miss the fact her outfit was leather!
Blushing even so, he spread his legs slightly and she quickly put on the gear which was crossing between his legs and up his butt, very intimate spaces and she took her time making sure it was solid before she slipped on her own. Walking in it felt odd, but he was sure there was a reason for the stuff. Then over to the window and she did all sorts of stuff to both him and her with ropes and then she went out the window, motioning him to follow as she set him up, explaining how he moved.
As with all first time climbers, he hung there for a minute, fighting the basic nature of not letting go of his support as he said "I-I'll t-try not t-to..." When he felt her pull on the rope he felt a bit more nerve and tried a few moves, very slowly and still gripping the wall edges. She talked him up the wall moving beside him on other ropes and he did oddly feel secure in them, something he had not expected at all. There was something very muggle like about this and when they were over the roof edge he still felt his pounding chest at the fact he had just done this, but not as bad as he might have had she not been here.
He had gained some more confidence in it before they reached the top, but it still felt so pulse-poundingly dangerous that when she finished unhooking him he sat down where he was first, shaking a tad bit and then scooted on is butt over to where she was, checking the box was still in his pocket. "Scary. And a bit still, I mean it's only r-rope holding you up, r-right?" He breathed in and out getting his center back now that he felt safer and losing his eyes against the warm breeze of night time air rushing past them.

She saw the shaking first, had all but expected it really. When he sat, she moved closer. Lacing her fingers through his, she turned her body toward him and reached up, brushing her fingers across his cheek. "Den, hey, relax" she told him in a soft, soothing voice she rarely ever used for anyone but her much younger cousins. "You're safe. I wouldn't let anything happen to you." She leaned forward, brushed a kiss at the corner of his mouth, as much for distraction as affection this time. Another followed at his jawline. "We're good, love. Take a breath." She gave him a couple of minutes, and when he had mostly gathered himself, she pointed to the sky. "I've never brought anyone outside my family up here, but..." She found his eyes again in the semi-darkness. "I wanted you to see it." She hoped he understood what she meant, how she meant it. After a moment of gazing up, she focused on him completely. "I love you too, Aiden" she said suddenly. She'd been waiting for the right moment and this seemed a good one. "Maybe I always have, I just didn't...see it." It made sense the more she thought about it. He was the person she'd told all her secrets too, the one she went to when she felt her world spinning out of control in ways she didn't like. She trusted him, absolutely and without question in ways she'd never trusted anyone outside her family before. She just hadn't known that was love until her father had pointed it out at the gate a few nights before. So maybe the whole mess with Cameron had served a purpose after all. He spoke, answering her question, and she smirked. "The rope, and I strongly suspect a few safety and protection spells. She didn't tell him why she suspected, fairly certain he'd freak out if if he knew she'd come out of the harness before. Laying her head on his shoulder, she pointed up. "I've always loved the stars" she said softly. "Always up there, always burning" Her eyes caught their own light . "And all with their perfect place in the sky. It never changes." It was, a bit, how she thought of her mother. The fire was there, but steady, stable, not the kind that burned up everything it its wake the way Ally tended to. She felt closer to her father when she climbed, every time she risked her neck and won. But when she reached her goal, and there was only stillness and stars, those were the moments she felt her mother who, she realized, had her own kind of chaos. She had saught a lifetime of it when she'd married Ally's dad, and had knowingly walked in anyway. It was the first time she'd started to realize how much they actually might have in common. The difference was that Ally had more than enough of her own chaos. It drove her, and she was beginning to understand that what she needed for a lifetime wasn't more of her own untamed spirit and chaotic taste, what she needed was what her mother had given her father: stability, calm, peace. She studied Aiden out of the corner of her eye. He was the embodiment of all of those things, and she had only just now put two and two together. Turning suddenly, she took his face in her hands and kissed him again, slowly, deeply, and with less fierce intent than before, drawing out the moment. When she pulled back several seconds later, she smiled at him. "I used to think I wanted to be a shooting star, the kind that blazes across the sky in an instant you could blink and miss" she told him softly. "Lately though..." she bit her lip. "I've been thinking it might be kind of nice to be in one place." Words: 650 Lyrics: Counting Stars - OneRepublic Outfit: here Notes: When you wish upon a star...

She had a talent for distraction and it showed when she sought to distract him during the moments at the window. How was it possible to kiss his jaw? He couldn't have imagined it, and it certainly got his mind thinking in other ways. "I know, it-t's just, um, hard I guess..." He took her advice and took in a deep breath to help himself get back under control. She spoke and his eyes grew warmer indeed as he made the connection he thought she would understand. Nodding, he slipped an arm around her shoulders as he looked up at the sky, but not for long. His eyes couldn't stay off her tonight.
In return as she said she loved him as well he put one hand on her arm saying softly "I see it in your eyes, Ally, I'm sorry I didn't realize you would feel the same. I should have said something before this, but I just couldn't risk losing you if you didn't feel the same." A sudden glance at the rope and his eyes made the realization evident; of course she trusted in it, her father had probably given her those. "Oh. I didn't think of magic." She spoke about the stars and his eyes turned to her, seeing in her a different type of star in her, ones he saw burning as well.
"I never had to look up, I had my own to look at every day." She turned and kissed him and he did his best to kiss back, reveling in the fact that now the secret was out she was so accepting of it. How much his life had changed in only minutes! Before she pulled back completely he leaned down to her neck and sniffed in her scent, feeling his body react like a drug nearly. "Ally, you burn brighter then any star I've ever seen! The very idea of you going out is impossible, there's so much of you I can't see any way to improve on--" She wanted to be...in one place?!?! "But..."
Was she giving up her dreams? No, no he couldn't let her do that, not for the sakes of him! "See, this was why i didn't want to tell you really," he said suddenly with the first doubt in his eyes since they came up here, "you have such dreams and I don't want to hold you back from them! You deserve that wild and random life you want so much, Ally!" Removing his arm from around her he reached down and touched her foot saying "Ally, may I have your foot a minute? There's something I want to show you if you can stand to trust me a moment..."

He put his arm around her and she leaned into him easily. This part at least, was familiar territory for both of them. Curled into his side, she watched the sky. She nodded, "I get it, but you made it, and that's really impressive, Den." She turned her head to smile at him. "It gets easier the more you do it, but I won't ask you to do it again if you don't want." She laid her head on his shoulder in the curve of his neck, letting herself relax into the moment. She always felt more at peace here than anywhere, save possibly with Aiden, and since she had both, well, she could be content, at least for a few minutes. The fall air was cool, but the night was clear, the perfect sort for this kind of thing, and Ally took it as a sign, though she didn't claim to believe in anything of the superstitious nature. One didn't grow up with her heritage without gaining at least a passing admiration for the more mythological aspects. Her grandfather had once taught the class at Hogwarts after all. He put his hand on her arm after her declaration, and it had admittedly been a difficult one for Ally. She'd never said those words to anyone outside her family, but she was grateful now, that she had resisted saying them to Cameron. It was the sort of gift Aiden, and only Aiden deserved. "In my eyes?" she looked confused for a moment. "Did they change colors again?" Probably, she reasoned, it was an emotional thing, and Ally had never felt things like this before with anyone else. She leaned forward, kissed him softly because she could. "You're not going to lose me" she told him. "I can promise you that." It was a powerful promise at her age, she knew, but her father had said she would just know, and when she looked into his eyes, there was something so powerful it transcended feeling. Ally had never looked far beyond surface sensation before, but what she felt for him ran much deeper. It simply was, as he was, solid and unchanging. "Of course there's magic" she answered, giving him a strange look. "Did you really think my dad would let me up here if there was risk of me getting really hurt?" She looked up at him and bit her lip when he spoke again. From anyone else, she'd have rolled her eyes, but Aiden had no experience to know the right kinds of things to say, and as her lips found his and she felt his desire for her in his kiss, something in her broke, melted away. How could she have ever thought what she had with Cameron was anything even close to love? Lust, she knew, burned bright and hot but was out again just as quickly as it came. Love...love was trust, hope, determination to be something better than she was because that's what he deserved. She felt his breath against her skin as he took her in and she sighed softly, a smile tugging at the corners of her lips. "Even stars go out eventually Den" she murmured. "They don't burn forever" It was her fear, to flame out before she could do something lasting. He began to protest and she kissed him to shut him up and when she pulled back she shook her head. "Not like that" she assured him. "Let me finish." She smiled. "I mean that it might not be bad to have constants, something to come back to." She shrugged, "Your mom's a dancer isn't she? She's got a family and a home and a life and they travel everywhere..." She bit her lip. "I could...have both...couldn't I?" She'd never thought about trying before, but with him...for him...she could. She arched a brow at him. "My foot?" But she did as he asked, looking at him strangely but also somewhat intrigued. "I always trust you" she reminded him. "Always"Words: 674 Lyrics: Treacherous - Taylor Swift Outfit: here Notes: I got to have an always moment in a thread, yes!

Bah, Ally knew she could get him to do anything for her, now she was giving him an out of one thing? "I'm not afraid, really, it's just going to take getting used to." His expression hardened a tiny bit and he added "I'll come up again." Somewhere inside the Lion in him perked up a bit more then normal. He held her tighter, feeling a sort of glee at doing so, knowing she wanted him to. "They don't need to change for me to see you in there, Ally," he promised, "you have expressive eyes. I've always enjoyed watching you react to things in them; it's very beautiful to see you react to me in them like you just did, I promise. I feel sort of honored now."
The promise thrilled him in a different way and as she kissed him he kissed back, still awkwardly, but with increasing emotions in his touch and lips. "Somehow I knew that you would say that and I'm going to hold it to you, Ally-love." He shook his head only slightly, unable to take his eyes off her for long. "I should have, but I simply was too distracted by you to think about it. I hope you don't mind me staring a lot cause you really are worth it!" She made light of the stars and he shook his head, clearly disagreeing with her. "Not for lifetimes, Beautiful one, and they inspire lots of other fires by their very existence. I know cause one is running inside my heart right now and it's amazing..."
She proved she knew how to make him be quiet and his protests died as she took over the conversation for a moment, still licking his lips and tasting, smelling her in his senses. As she spoke though he nodded suddenly and added "You will. I swear, Ally, long as you can put up with me I will make it so somehow! Trust me on that!" As she put her foot in his hands he smiled with success and undid her boot, sliding it off and then her sock, carefully tucking it in her boot as he put her foot on his leg. "This summer I saw something which seemed so perfect to me I had to save money for months to pay for it, but it was so worth it."
He pulled out a box and opened it setting it in front of him as he pulled out a beautiful silver and quartz piece, something that caught the star light and shimmered slightly. "I knew," he said as he picked up her foot carefully, sliding his fingers across her sole as he slid the loop up to her ankle, "that something so pretty could only be meant for one person" he slid his fingers down the top of her foot with a gracefully light touch, "could only be destined for one person." He glanced up as he slid the ending loop over her middle toe and his eyes were clearly in awe of her. "The one who takes my breath away every day, as pretty as the stars could ever hope to be."
Putting her foot on his leg he reached out and did the same to her other foot with the second one and then leaned down and kissed each foot on the top before letting her pull them away from him. "I will only give you things which look beautiful on you, Ally-love, I swear it because there is so little in the world worthy of you in my eyes..."

She nodded, looking somewhat impressed. "It does" she agreed, and when she turned to smile at him, she looked exceptionally impressed. "It will be nice to have someone to come up here with sometimes." Not all the time, of course, it was still her 'thinking spot' but there was something very special about getting to share it with someone outside her family, and all things considered she was glad it was Aiden. She knew there wasn't anyone else in her life who would know her well enough to appreciate it the same way. As she listened to him explain her eyes, she smirked. She thought of all the moments it should have been obvious he was falling for her, that she was falling for him: the nights she'd hidden out in his dorm over the years, when he held her so she could fall asleep, the times she'd gotten out of trouble on his word because the teachers trusted Aiden, he was a 'good boy' after all. The worried look in his eyes every time she'd told him she was going climbing. The way he tried not to smile because he hated the way it looked, but more often than not with her did it anyway in spite of himself. The way it felt when he hugged her...and when he kissed her. She felt the feelings of love and gratitude take root and build to almost overwhelming. When they did, she turned her eyes on him again. "All right" she murmured, "What am I feeling now?"She smiled cheekily up at him when he spoke again. "I think the expression is 'hold you to it', Den" she told him teasingly. Still somewhat recovering from the unexpected intensity that seemed to bloom every time he kissed her, she took a breath, tried to steady her heart. She wasnt' familiar with this feeling. Things with Cameron had been powerful, yes, but purely physical and this...definitely wasn't. This was...more. She smiled in a way that told him without words she thought he was overstating things a bit, but so long as he was staring...She bit her lip. "Do you want to see something kind of cool?" She turned to look at the sky once more and her hair went white. He'd seen the color before of course, but tonight the strands caught the light and glowed with ethereal iridescence. "Its why the girls used to tease me about it at night" she told him. "They said I looked like an alien." It had bothered her a lot as a kid, but less over the years, especially once she'd decided to go blonde at school and most of the girls had forgotten about it. He spoke of stars and the answering smile was slower this time, softer. "Never would have thought you were the poetic type, Den" she said softly. She laid her head on his shoulder again, watching the stars above them with a simple, pure pleasure that lit her eyes almost as brightly as her hair. She was, maybe, a bit surprised by the intensity of his response, but she appreciated it. "I've always sort of thought it was the other way around" she answered. "I'm the one making waves in your zen" she reminded him. The thought melted however as she watched him, intrigued, one foot in his lap, wondering where he was going with it. As he took off both boot and sock, for a moment she wondered if he intended to give her a foot massage. Then he spoke, and she tilted her head at him. He had saved for months? She frowned briefly, "Den, what did you...?" He produced the box, and she went quiet, watching. He took out some sort of jewelry that sparkled, catching her attention immediately. He had...but... She watched, fascinated as he slid the pieces into place. "Aiden...." she was breathless, awed. When he picked up her other foot, she didn't resist, and when he was finished, her eyes were drawn from the jewelry back up to his. "They're beautiful" she assured him, "but...the summer...we weren't even...and you..." Ally speechless was a rare thing indeed, but she couldn't find the right words. For a couple of moments, she simply stared at him, and then she was in his lap, careful of her balance and her new jewelry. She wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him deeply, overwhelmed and awed. "I...you...I love you" she whispered between fervored kisses to his lips. "You are so...wonderful" and though the jewelry was beautiful, and it was unlikely she would take it off any time soon, it had far more to do with the words, with his heart, with the way he cherished her so completely she could not fathom how she had ever thought there could be anyone else. When she had gotten a hold of herself somewhat, she pulled back a fraction, eyes on his. "You're incredible" she told him, and the sincerity echoed through the words. She seemed pleased to hear his answer and he smiled to himself with pleasure; he wanted to please her more then anything really and if he had been able to be outside the situation that should have worried him. He was going to be far too Ally-focused now and that could lead to some rather serious misjudgements. And manipulations actually which was clear as she turned her eyes on him and asked what she was feeling. Aiden flushed and gave a very embarrassed smile. "Exactly what I am, love." It was the first time using that nickname for her, but it felt so right! He made a face right back at her, more a grimace as he admitted "I don't think I can hold you to anything, Ally, you go where you want usually."
She changed her hair and his face took on a sort of glow on it's own as he looked at her with some amount of awe. "Not an alien, an angel, Ally! Wow and here I didn't think you could get any more beautiful!" One hand came up to touch before he even thought about it and it wasn't till some strands were running through his fingers that he caught himself. "Oh! Sorry, I didn't ask permission to do that..." As she rested her head on his shoulder he smiled happily and sighed, his arm going around her. "Me either. Must be because it's you here."
She seemed to question what he meant, but he felt the actions said enough on their own really as to what he meant. "Don't get the wrong idea, it's quartz which can be all the more pretty because it has flaws in it. They aren't diamonds, those would be too cold for you I think, not that I could ever afford those to begin with." When she stuttered a bit taken aback he nodded, a tinge of unhappiness remembered in his eyes but not long. "I--" Gosh, that had been such a time of worry now gone! A real relief things had worked out. "I...had a dream, sort of, didn't think it would ever happen." One hand caressed her first foot carefully as if touching the most fragile thing ever, yet he thrilled she trusted him with her feet too which spoke volumes to him!
"I guess I'm still stunned I got to actually give them to you," he added shyly before looking back up at his angel-on-earth. "It was sort of a gift to me in a way, a dream maybe some day I would get to give them to you somehow. I'm glad it worked out this way!" When he had finished speaking and was simply enjoying looking at her, she stared at him for a moment seemingly without words and he felt he should make a joke out of that when she did the unexpected and ignoring her boots and socks she crawled into his lap. His eyes became the size of dinner plates nearly as she kissed him deeper then before and it was a second before he could join in! As sh spoke his face flushed more so till he was nearly as red as her hair was white as he had never had that much of an ego to begin with and here she was inflating what he had to tripled proportions.
"I-I love you t-too!" he exclaimed thrown off by the sudden onslaught of kisses he didn't think he had earned really. "If" and it was clear he doubted himself special at all, "I am it's only because you are here with me and I can pour out delight from every pore being so close to you, Ally. I'm nothing special without you." And sincerity was reflected in his own words as he gazed at her, totally having forgotten where they were, the time, or the importance of not being caught. When it came time to learn the Patronous charm, he would nail it the first time now as there was no question what his memory would be!
