Thad nodded impressed at the little rhyme Nienna spoke about wit.
"Quite clever," he said.
Thad followed her inside, removing his arm from hers in order to take two of the books out of his bag. He listened to how she thought differently from others and how she wished to be free...
Was it perhaps time to tell her of that which he was apart of that set him free? Not quite yet... but soon.
With his free hand, Thad gently stroked her hair once as she stepped closer.
"Your words are so harshly poetic, dripping of sweet inner torment, my dear," he said softly. "I dare ask to kiss the lips from which they come, but alas we are here in this secret place for a far greater purpose. Shall we be seated? I will show you the first of these books, this written by an admirer of my mad great uncle Loras and given to him as a tribute before he passed on. It is believed this admirer possessed a superior form of Legilimency, knowing methods of not only exploring one's mind, but even bending it to one's will without the use of the Imperious Curse."

"I suspect the secret words depends on your House, mine's Ravenclaw and those were the sacred words of hers," Anna wondered aloud, at the same time being reminded of the reality which might sever her closeness with Thad. She had heard far too many stories about the Slytherins; who would keep their bloodlines pure, rather than basing their impressions on the true traits and ability of a person. Anna silently hoped for things to be alright with Thad.
"Know you not, that I have not seen those rivers of torment, since you came? Now, a certain fullness ascends within me, as though this grounded bird is about to burst into flight, into the bright of the sun." She spoke to Thad endearingly, her soft fingers reaching up to touch his as he stroked her hair. "I trust you, Thad... You know it." she added in a hushed tone, referring to his lingering wish to kiss her. A beautiful rage stirred up within her chest, sending sparks of warmth into the coolness of the surrounding atmosphere. Yet, for now, her lilting desires and hastened heart ought to tarry.
Having heard him spoke about the book in such an elaborate manner, however, her green eyes twinkled in expectation of such dark and forceful sort of magic. The simple things which Thad had so sinisterly loved, had steadily made their way into her heart; her clear wit becoming a mere passenger in this arduous ride towards the abyss, hidden instincts showing off their invincible talons. Her mind was as pure as a white blank page, waiting to be filled with these ominous affections.
Anna let Thad lead her towards the center of the room, then halfway, remembering the plainly opened stonewall, pointed her wand back and spoke aloud, "Colloportus!" The enormous stones slithered back into position, with a surprising smoothness; momentarily entrapping two souls within.
"Trivial precaution, considering how precious these secrets are," Anna said. When they were both seated, Anna noticed something unusual about the book Thad was speaking of. There was no title, nor the name of the author on its eerily black binding. She ignored the frivolity and asked Thad sincerely, "Has it taught the young lord anything powerful on Legilimency, then? Or does the book speak of its reverence towards the deeds your great uncle?" Anna pressed her hands together, a delicate smile adorning her face as she waits expectantly for Thad.
"Loras Thorn..." Anna mused, "You briefly mentioned him yesterday, Thad. Was he the great Occlumens, who arrested his own brilliant mind within himself, and became..." She hesitated inevitably, a little frightened at the thought, "Became mad?"

Thad smirked about the sacred words of the Houses.
"I am sure Salazar Slytherin had some of his own," he said. "Rather vindictive ones at times no doubt."
The more Nienna revealed her wicked;y poetic nature, the more Thad wanted to take her in his arms and kiss her. However, there was another time and place for physical affection. What was happening now was far deeper than that. The affection was mental... magical... supernatural.
"I am honored that you confide in me so, my dear... my dearest," he said. "Though I feel destiny has played a part in our meeting."
Thad then handed Nienna the book after she asked about it.
"It has done a bit of both," he said. "The reverence for my uncle is of course there, and it has certainly sparked my interest in Legilimency. However, given it is indeed true that the writer possessed such a superior level of the ability, it would take some years of practice for me to ever achieve the same."
When Nienna asked about his uncle, he smiled and nodded.
"One and the same," he said. "A shame too. I don't believe he even had a chance to read this book due to his insanity. I believe he would have quite enjoyed it in his right mind." He then looked into Nienna's eyes. "Tell me, my dearest, what do you wish to achieve?"

"I am completely in agreement with you, Thad." Chuckling good-heartedly, she added, "Might have to do with the purity of bloodlines, I reckon. Slytherin had always championed his pure-blood domination, and most ardently at that."
As a brief quietness ensued between their speeches; Anna was at once captivated by the restrained emotions rising up within Thad, his passions subtly surfacing across his features.
"My love," she purred yieldingly, meeting his longing eyes. "My beloved young lord, the honor is entirely mine. I have not all these greatly laid riches and treasures of yours," she said, "The only inheritance I have, lies within the crevasses of this little mind." Anna glanced up, gleaming sweetly. "Destiny has delivered me here, into your perfect sanctuary."
She was falling in love with him, quick and hard. It felt as if the universe mattered the least to Anna, as she fixed her smiling eyes on the boy; the young devil who was going to set her free from those secret anguish and vanished tears. For the moment, she simply yearned to lean her shrunken soul into his. To dance with the devil until the slivering of the horizon, captured in a torrent of fervid emotions she had never known; in the hiding place somewhere only they would know. Yet deep down; she knew that she needed to be strong, she knew that Thad needed her to be stronger. Those very eyes which had twinkled a few moments ago, now burned impassionedly; signs of life showing within those hunter-green irises, an emergent obsession sliding in. She accepted the precious work with great care, feeling the rough leather binding prickling on the tenderness of her skin.
Anna took the obscure binding of the book in her hands, curiously turning to its first page when she heard Thad explained about the writer having mastered such superior level of mind-bending Legilimency. Concurringly, the prologue spoke, She listened patiently while Thad added about his great uncle; looking deeply into the midnight starlight of his eyes, when he demanded to be told of her ambitions.
"For far too long, my days have been marred with fears and trembles, the nightmares were the most faithful companions I ever had," she searched his eyes for a hint of cognition. "My love, I yearn to be redeemed from this shackles of vulnerability. For far too long, I have trod this castle in broken marches, wearing a bold front, concealing the great inner torment within..." she faltered. "I wish to be great, no longer a weakling," she spoke in undertones.
Echoing her own thoughts, she continued softly,"Please, love," fighting the well of tears billowing within, "Allow me to be like you." @thorn

Thad had to be cautious about his own thoughts on blood purity. He had of course excused Nienna for being a Quarter Veela as a Veela was a magical being, and that fact about her only added to what attracted him to her. If he were to speak of his disdain for Half-Bloods in the sense of said individuals being half Muggle, she might have gotten the wrong idea.
"Indeed he did," said Thad of Salazar championing his blood purity. "He was a brilliant man. Shame he's so historically frowned upon because simply he went against the grain of the other founders. I highly doubt the other founders agreed with one another on everything, just as all of our Houses now have some level of competition with one another I suppose."
But there was now no competition between he and Nienna. Thad loved her, and he would not be some foolish boy and lie to himself and say he didn't.
"Please know that I would not share my family's secrets with just anyone," he said softly. "You are special, my dearest Anna, standing out from all the rest. I would take you into the deepest, darkest regions of my soul if you asked me. I would make my cherished darkness yours, and there we would hide away from the blinding light of conformity to the laws of common wizards and witches."
Thad did want to kiss her, but had to stick to his word. Perhaps once the reading session was over, they could use the secrecy of the Mirror Passage for such a pleasure.
Inside, Thad listened as Anna spoke of her longing for greatness. He looked deeply into her eyes and smiled.
"There is nothing wrong with possessing fear, my dearest," he said. "Once one learns to use it to one's advantage of course. And you are not weak, Anna. Perhaps you still have a few steps to go on the path to true greatness, as do I, but you are not weak. The fact that you are here with me proves that."
When he asked him to allow her to be like him, he shook his head.
"Don't be like me," he said. "Don't be like anyone else. Be... Anna." And with that, he could help it no more. He leaned in and kissed her on the lips.

"The house points being one of them, isn't it? The tournament as well." She said, "I imagine the pride and pleasure one has after advancing over others, if it truly made him more powerful than them, or if he was simply sprinting an endless race." Anna continued, musing, "Slytherin believed what he knew was the truth, and though none went with him, he alone defended it valiantly..." She thought for a moment before continuing, "That by itself deserve the utmost deference. Perhaps he was outnumbered by the violent removal of his ideals, that most wizards now see him as the malefic elitist. In any form of war, the victor earns his reputation, regardless of his methods of winning. Should he have gotten his ways, the wizarding community would have hailed him as their benefactor, without a doubt.
Yet, my beloved, the past had come to pass, and the present demands our attention," she concluded.
Pressing her lips together, she savored the full beauty of his temptation; of her lover's sweet promise to carry her into the deepest, darkest regions of his soul. She knew she was afraid of the infinite darkness laid before her eyes; but for Thad she would allow them to devour every inch of her clarity, to allow their souls roam across the dark wintry nights, breathing in the warmth of one another.
Almost losing control as Thad admitted her strength, being drowned under the deluge of her own pathetic emotions and his fiery passions; Anna nearly let a tear slide down the curves of her cheek when Thad leaned in and tasted the fullness of her lips.
At that moment, Anna learned to breathe again.
All at once, a new life came alive from within. All at once; the kiss, the breath they shared consumed and set her ablaze, rising up in flames from the lifeless ashes. She closed her eyes; letting all fortresses of defense tumble in the sweetness of surrender, gyrating violently into the sudden pitfalls gaping on the ground. Between her lips, every breath of his snatched away a rush of strength from her veins. Every stronghold came undone, every secrets would translate into truth. Yet she felt stronger, the longer his lips lingered against hers. Her delicate hands slowly reached out to touch his chest; stealing the lively sounds of his heartbeat, the most sprightly cadence she had ever heard. Within her own, the light of darkness illuminated the heartrending emptiness.
She felt his touch around her, she felt the silence rumbling a hurricane around her. So beautiful and fragile; it sent a splinter of ache down her chest, forming an explosion of emotions in the deep ocean of her heart. She wished to run and fling her arms around his neck; she wished for the stars to entwine them together, to let parting be inconceivable.
He was her first, and she knew she would bleed to let him be for ever.
Pulling tenderly away from his kiss, eyes still effulgent with burning desires, she breathed as if it was going to be her last, "I'm strong." With fingers aquiver; she touched his face, tracing the lines on his jaw, and pulled closer to him, "I'll learn to use these fears and be great, for you, my love. I'll dance through the darkest requiems of your dreams, gracefully, dauntlessly, and we'll contrive wicked games for all the world to come out and play."
This could be the beginning of forever.
