Adelina enjoyed a good tea, and while Puddifoot's in Hogsmeade had exceptional tea, the place didn't quite compare to Rosa Lee's in Diagon Alley. Stepping in clad in a beautiful red and white holiday dress , she ordered her favorite, the raspberry lemon blend, then waited patiently for it to be served to her, prepping her napkin. Adelina was the epitome of proper etiquette after all.
She looked outside at the snow and smiled. She did love Christmas a great deal. She couldn't wait for all the parties, including the big one with the Potters and Weasleys, along with the one with her aunt, uncle, and cousins at the Shell Cottage. This was one of her favorite times of year. Even for a witch, she found that special magic in it.
She smiled and thanked the server when the tea arrived and poured herself a cup. She relished the first sip that she missed so much.

credit: text made by arro @ caution | Much as she loved holidays, she profoundly hated it when there was no way to get rid of the cold. She hated how she could not move her fingers as actively as she did in warmer weather. Clothes and hair always needed for time to dry when it was cold. Wearing too much clothing caused her difficulties in moving around and controlling her own body. Her cold feet did not let her sleep soundly at night and walk quickly in the morning. After all Phoebe is a little bird. In winter, all birds fly to the South to hide from the chillness. If only she could fly.
Perhaps the only thing that Phoebe Croft treasured about winter was the urge for a cup of tea. Nothing was like sitting behind the glass window of Rosa Lee Teabag, holding a nice warm cup of tea in her hands and staring out to the snowy skies or gazing the people rushing home on the streets. The tender scent of tea leaves set her mind at ease, people chatting in the room made she feel less isolated in windy afternoons. This tea shop was her little secret hiding place which she only shared with her twin sister Evelyn. It was where all the people's and her own expectations would not come near her, where she allowed herself to taste a bit of fantasies through the pages of a love story or the sweet melody if a lullaby. It was the only place in the world Phoebe Croft was only Phoebe Croft, and not someone else people expected her to be.
Making her way to her favorite spot, Phoebe stopped short as she caught eye of someone. From the distance where she stood, that blond hair seemed rather familiar, though in her head she still doubted her vision. Red and white - the colors of the season. Evelyn was not exactly the one to care too much about her looks, but she might as well put on something trendy once in a while, unlike Phoebe. Hesitating a little, the Slytherin decided to approached the person to confirm her her suspicion. Placing one hand on the girl's shoulder, she called. "Evie?" And she waited, hoping to see the familiar face that she saw in the mirror everyday.

Adelina almost spilled her tea on herself when she felt the sudden hand on her shoulder. She then looked confused as the voice called her Evie. She definitely wasn't Evie. She didn't think she even knew an Evie. Placing her cup down, she turned and looked at the girl, who she didn't recognize either. She wasn't sure what House the girl was from given neither were in their school attire, but that hardly mattered anyway.
"I'm sorry," she said. "But I'm not the person you must be looking for. My name's Adelina... Adelina Krum." As was good manners, she had risen to greet the other girl and extend her hand. "If you'll pardon me for saying so, you seem a bit distraught. Would you care to join me for tea and talk about it? I won't be offended if you chose not to, but the invitation is open." She smiled at the girl and awaited her answer before returning to her seat.

credit: text made by arro @ caution | Phoebe almost jumped forward to do something when the girl nearly spilled her tea. The Slytherin girl instinctively stepped back when she realized the person who had just turned to face her was not the one she had expected. Yet her face showed nothing more than slight surprise. She was taught well to keep her manners in situation like this. Calmly, she began to speak. "I am so sorry. I thought you were my twin sister." A tender smile grew on her face.
Without any hesitation, Phoebe took the hand extended to her. She shivered slightly as the warmth from the other girl's palm collided with her ice-cold skin. It was deadly cold outside. "What a lovely name. Pleasure to meet you, Adelina. I am Phoebe Croft." Phoebe uttered in cheerfulness. Adelina Krum. The Slytherin felt like she had heard that surname somewhere before. Perhaps at school? Adelina carried on speaking, and took Phoebe aback by the next words she said. Distraught? No one had ever said that Phoebe Croft seemed distraught. In fact, she was one of those with absolute sanity. An amused expression appeared on her pale face. "Who would ever decline such a nice invitation?!" She uttered genuinely.
Ordering a cup of oolong tea for herself, Phoebe made her way to the chair opposite to Adelina and sat down. "Not exactly distraught but I am indeed not feeling one hundred percent fine today." Her voice was low and faint. "I kept hoping that Christmas would not come so soon. But here it is."
A small sigh escaped her lips. Not that she was not fond of the holidays. She loved Christmas; but she feared what wasgoing to happen once her family had that little family-gathering again.

Adelina laughed a bit at the mistake, showing there was no harm done.
"Well then I should take that as a compliment, considering how lovely you are," she said.
Adelina felt the coldness of the girl's hand and was not surprised. London winters were harsh indeed.
"Phoebe is a beautiful name as well," she said.
Adelina smiled when Phoebe accepted her invitation. She sat back down herself and sipped her tea.
"This is raspberry lemon, my favorite," she said. "I highly recommend it as a treat on days like this, but only as a treat really as it's quite sweet. Normally I drink the usual Merlin's Blend."
She then offered her listening ears as Phoebe revealed she was not greatly distraught, but not feeling well either. Adelina then looked a bit sad as Phoebe seemed upset about Christmas. Adelina adored Christmas. It was one of her favorite times of year.
"I'm sorry to hear this time of year upsets you," she said. "If you'll forgive my curiosity, why does it exactly?"
