Hennah was sitting and doing her homework when she saw a Hufflepuff girl named Liza walk in. Liza had just found out that her crush didn't like her and was very distraught. Hennah frowned because she felt the girl was very sweet and deserved love. She wanted to help the girl feel better. Hennah had been getting the hang of Non-Verbal Magic just a little and was beginning to be able to do some minor things with it. Concentrating hard, she made a beautiful yellow flower appear. She smiled and carried it over to Liza. She embraced Liza and handed it to her. "For me?" smiled Liza. Hennah smiled and nodded. "Thank you, Hennah." Liza spoke to Hennah a bit about her problem and Hennah listened to every word. When Liza was done, Heenah hugged her again. "Thank you for listening, Hennah," she said. "You're the best." Hennah just smiled and shrugged modestly, causing Liza to laugh. "I have to go now and get ready for a club meeting, but I'll see you soon." Hennah waved good-bye as the girl left. Ellen shivered as she walked into the castle, the cold sweating off of her as she greeted the humidity of Hogwarts. The snowy outdoors was great and brilliant and beautiful, but it was also enough to numb Ellen's toes, even in her black boots. The numbness in her feet wore off as she walked on, past the Great Hall and into the portrait near the kitchens. The dimly-lit tunnel led her to the Hufflepuff Common Room, but not before she ran into a girl named Liza who seemed utterly cheerful. Ellen grinned at her and then entered the main common room area, finding another familiar face - Hennah.
"Oh, hey Hennah!" Ellen cheered, shaking off a bit of excess water from her coat as she slipped it off. She threw her coat up on the rack in the corner then slouched down onto the couch next to Hennah. She noticed the things on the table and realized Hennah was doing homework - oop. "Sorry if I'm bothering you, just noticed you in here and figured I'd say hi before changing into some...less wet clothes," she chuckled.

Hennah beamed when Ellen walked in. She absolutely adored Ellen. She looked up to the girl as a role model and of course saw her as a friend. Many Seventh Years tended to not have much to do with the Fourth Years, even in the same House. But Ellen wasn't like that. Hennah though Ellen was no nice and loved how she took at least a little time out to make Hennah's day with a warm smile and a hello. Hennah smiled back and waved to her. When Ellen said she had to change out of the wet clothes, Hennah nodded and then motioned that Ellen could come back and sit with her when she was done. She was almost done with her homework after all, which was still quite dry despite Ellen's wet clothes, not that Hennah would have been upset. Little angered or frustrated Hennah. With her handicap, she had learned to overcome both the little and big setbacks in life. ELLEN MARIBEL ACKERLEY
