Thorn, clad in lavish dress robes, was proud to have Nienna on his arm as he entered the dance. Some of the other Slytherins were unsurprisingly shocked by Thorn with a Ravenclaw, but Thorn could care less. The boy who many thought could not love was in love, and Nienna meant far more to him than any of his House Mates did. Once he arrived, he was greeted by one from his House, an outspoken buffoon named Roderick.
"A Ravenclaw, Thorn?" he chuckled. "Is this some kind of joke?"
"It is not, old boy," said Thorn. "Though I must ask the same about your formal attire." He looked at the other gathering Slytherins. "Ladies, gentlemen, this is my soul mate, Anna. I suggest you treat her with the utmost respect when you see her. Otherwise, you may find yourself visited in the night by a spider or two on your bed pillow." The Slytherins saw that he was serious, and quickly went about their business. Thorn smiled at Anna. "Forgive me, my dearest. I am distraught to say that Roderick is not the finest representative of my House. Some punch, perhaps? Or would you care to dance?"

They had written each other into their lives, falling forward into parts that were beautiful as a whole.
As Anna walked delicately beneath the hundred vibrant lights of the party, her eyes lit up the whole room even brighter as she fixed her gaze upon Thorn; her most tender lover, her most vicious Slytherin. This was her story now, her journey down the path of maleficence. In her free hand, she held a little gift box tied with a twine; within it laid a handcrafted present she wished Thorn to accept. And for the moment; she was deaf to the way the sudden stillness substantiating through the air, blind to the way the entire gathering of Slytherins sneered at her with such incredulous condescension. Those dramatic, static looks which would have effortlessly cut through the softness of her face.
But a bonfire of the damned had been sparked within the valleys of her heart, and nothing was about to quench it; not without being soaked up by her flaming ire.
A look of cognisance registered across her features, as she heard the scornful remark of a burly Slytherin senior. Wrapped up in a bluebonnet ruffled dress robe, the poor piece seemed almost about to burst at the seams. Anna was on the verge of an imprudent comeback, when she heard Thad raised his voice over the brood of serpents; authoritatively announcing her as his soul mate, menacingly demanding their respect towards her. She saw how they scurried and knuckled under his commands. An exhilarating presence stung her mind, a pure ecstasy resurging above her consciousness; reminding her of the power of greatness which she could take revelry in.
She had considered them to be taken aback at her being together with Thorn, but she did not expect them to be so recklessly brazen with their words. Behind her back; they could murmur 'Amortentia' or 'Blood purity' for all they wanted, they could keep their eyes opened wide to watch her botch a fall, a blunder. Yet, at the instant, she could not have cared less. She shot a last look of pity at the boy, who was jittery enough to continually avoid her stare; as did the rest of the Slytherin present, feigning occupation at the bar across the room.
Awestruck, Anna looked up to Thad, into his passionate eyes; returning his smile and pressing her arm warmly against his, saying, "Apologise not for their fault, my beloved. I reckon it was expected of them. Although regarding the great authority of the young lord, I dared not expect such enormity," she smiled her appreciation. She was falling through quick and hard, yet Thad was ready to break her fall, her state of grace; and she could not see anything else, save the edges of his darkness. Pivoting to face him in full view, her gaze softened as she held his hand dearly, "Pray not be distraught, my love, lest my heart remains sorrowful beyond solace."
Anna wished to kiss him once again, but she knew it was out of the boundaries of courtesy which Thad prized so much. Recalling the sweetness of his taste, a shiver of euphoria trickled down the nape of her neck; at the same time she wondered however long the pleasurable sensation would stay. Let eternity be cursed if her adoration was meant for evanescence. For the sake of eternity, she hoped that love did not die.
She raised her hand to reveal the little box she had wrapped for Thad, a note magically appearing to attach to its twine as she placed it in his hands. A note which wrote, "To my beloved, whose fair lips I endlessly pant for, with each coming night. A memoir of the avalanche of darkness destined for us, patiently awaiting the dawn of our journey. With the sweet promises of your love, your Anna."
Then, glancing at the merriment across the room, she caught sight of a few couples on the dance floor; hands on waists, fluttering daintily to the accented lilts of the minuet. Turning back to Thad, she replied as she chuckled, "This little Ravenclaw of yours would care to dance, with you." Anna curtsied.
Looking up, she smiled again, "If you'd ask."

Thorn smiled and took Anna's hands as she told him not to be distraught.
"I shall make every effort to try and not be, my dearest," he said. "It is just a dreadful shame that the House of the great Salazar Slytherin must play host to such brutes as Roderick. But yes, let us cast the fools aside tonight to wallow in their own shame. Tonight is not for them, but for us. A new year with my new love." He leaned in and kissed her softly.
Thorn then received the gift and read over the note.
"The words you write are as sinfully sweet as the ones that escape your beautiful lips, my dearest," he said. "Thank you." He opened the box and looked over the gift, admiring it a great deal. "It's magnificent. I would expect nothing less from she who has won my heart."
(Note: Wasn't sure if you wanted to decide what the gift was or I.)
When Nienna curtsied and said she would love to dance if Thorn properly asked, the boy bowed and took her hand.
"My Lady Anna, may I have this dance?" he said.

A lingering thrill accompanied his kiss, taking a delightful shiver up her spine without warning.
Pulling closer towards the boy who had taken her hand, Anna smiled; drinking in his pleasantness, " Love of mine, 'tis my pleasure." Lightly she swung into the music, loose plicates of incadescent goldenness trailing her glide. " Let us dance as the infernal fires of the underworld. Tempestuously, relentlessly," she whispered mirthfully in his ear, " Ad infinitum, love." As she spun in a graceful turn; she felt heat diffusing from her skin, more and more intense as each second burnt over. Her eyes were two blazing fires, her soul melting into every crease and crack of his; lighting her up, wearing her out. Fluttering her eyelids closed, she rested her head against the broad of his shoulders; hand drawing in the robust rhythms of his heart, feet stepping quietly to its beat. Softly she spoke, only loud enough for him to listen, " Imagine, Thorn, one day we shall truly come alive, within the darkness consuming these bodies..." She thought for a moment. " A dance before the dawn of dark, this is. Before surrendering to the shadowed spectres I often met in my dreams, before stepping into the dark and never looking back at life before you arrived. There shone no sunbeams, there glowed no moonbeams, no fire, no sense of directions nor time, just... the achingly beautiful serenity of desolation. Of the rubble of chiseled bones and pulverised wings, of the darkness which will cut through our flesh..." Anna swallowed. " Like a thousand rapiers. We will bleed, you and I, and others, too. I will hold fast to you, love, faithfully, until the day I die." Gently pressing her hand in his, she continued. " But we'll both survive this mess, we'll be victors, we'll revive those old dreams of your ancestors... We'll create a brave new world where there is no good or evil. Only power." At the same instant, she wondered if their encounter had been something which everyone would experience at some point in life; or if their convergence had been a destined, isolated incident. Her heart felt safe and sheltered with Thorn, who stood up against those intent to give her hell. She was still far too frail and too young to be great, yet she knew surely what she thirsted for: power. Such frailty and youth would surely render her ridiculous and reckless in front of others. She knew Thorn would stand with her, but she wished to be able to stand up against his enemies. Thinking these, her thirst for power became unquenchable. She looked up at him, rubbing his arm gently, smiling, " I have burdened you with my cries and desires, love. So please, if you would lay yours before me, what is it which would truly make you happy?" @thorn Thorn's gift: The sleeping baby spider!!! XD

When the baby spider crawled upon Thorn's arm, Thorn stared at it, a wild look in his eyes.
"Arachnis conceallas," he said, speaking the tongue he had used a number of times to communicate with spiders. The spider crawled into his pocket, where it would be quite safe during the evening. If there was one creature Thorn would neither kill intentionally or by accident, it was a spider.
Thorn was an accomplished dancer. Bring wealthy allowed for education in many skills. But this was unlike any dance he had done with his instructors. This was magical. When Anna rested her head on his shoulder, she again felt the up until then unusual feeling of euphoria that went with being in love.
Holding her close as they danced, he listened to her speak of the darkness and the significance of the dance. How beautifully this girl spoke. She was destined to be a mad poet, that Thorn had no doubt. And he was ready to fall into madness with her.
"Your brilliance places you above all in your House, my dearest," he said. "No other Ravenclaw, no matter how intelligent or witty, can translate the thoughts of an enhanced intellect to sheer poetry as you can. We were truly meant to be one."
When she asked to for him to speak to her of his own desires, Thorn smiled.
"My desires... aside from being with you, my dearest?" he asked. "To be more than my wicked family ever was, to escape all that goes with the Thorn name, both good and bad, and be my own great entity. And now I will have the perfect woman by my side when I become so."

Feeling the quickened heartbeat in her hand, a soft smile began to caress her lips; against his shoulder.
As he pulled her closer, Anna placed her hands around his neck. Endearingly, Anna looked into his eyes; listening attentively to every word he spoke, heart flitting in bliss as he expressed his admiration and desires. "And now I will have the perfect woman by my side when I become so." She could not help it, blushing furiously. After all, Anna was a fourteen-years-old yet to have many romantic encounters; and Thorn went straight for her heart, sweeping her off her feet, too quickly before she could do anything but surrender in absolute abandon. Her breath froze in her lungs. "I would do anything to have those words again," she brushed her words against his neck. The edges of his words were sweeter than the winds of summer, the power in his desires greater than death itself.
"A thousand soul-stirring words may bleed out of me, my beloved, yet however splendid and affectionate these poems were, they fall as hollow air on the glacier of reality. My heart is anxious, my love, to arouse our sweet dreams. I long to be of use to you, love." She felt his electric gaze staring through her little soul. "Yet this youthfulness has its blessings and curses, and before you came, it has restrained me to see only the simplest of things, even the things of love." Smiling innocently, she said under her breath, "But I know this is love." Trailing her fingertips down his chest; Anna sneaked a lingering kiss between his mouth, lips to lips, soul to soul, lovingly, possessively. They danced the night away, at last seeing not many others who remained in the room. A few were involved in casual exchanges, and Anna curiously noticed a couple having some sort of argument. The Sarabande was beginning to fleet tenderly into the night; a night ever so early, for two young lovers to part. In the second she took to turn and face him, a reignited longing locked in her eyes. Had she ever loved anything this intensely? She was not able to remember, being chased by those night terrors and spectral fears. But here she stood fearlessly before him; waiting, inviting every empty part of her skin, her cheeks, her neck, her lips, to be filled.
She said, "Thank you for the splendid dance, my love, and I'm truly sorry if I have worn you out..." Sighing sadly, she continued, "Yet I could not live in the torment of your departure, not tonight, not ever, Thorn. Sleep would elude me whilst your absence haunts my nights." She inhaled deeply; wanting him to reach out and pull her close, hand grazing her neck, ensnaring her senses with his gaze.
She wanted him to keep his promises and know her secrets; she wanted to be in a tiny world with only him, his whispers, his kisses and her trust.

"I assure you I have even far more pleasant words to entice your ears," said Thorn. "Words to bring you under my spell as I have fallen under yours. We are the victims of each others' dark enchantments and I say... let us be victims. Let us fall into the endless pit of each others' minds."
Nienna said that she knew this was love before kissing him. He returned the kiss, but then shook his head.
"No, love is for the weak and a worldly concept, adopted by our kind from the most delusional of Muggles," he said. "What we have goes beyond love.. an unbreakable bond made in the presence of the hosts of Hell, where there is only mad desire and the purity of love is lost. What I show you is not love, my dearest, but the desire to pass my dreams, my desires, my fears onto you until we fully move and think as one. But do not misunderstand me. I set my feet on a grim path at an early age, but now I know I will no longer walk it alone. I am honored to have you beside me."
In a strange, cryptic way, this was Thorn's way of saying "I love you".
After the dance, Thorn lifted his hand when Nienna feared she had worn him out.
"Of course not," he said. "But please be seated and I will bring us both some punch." He then listened to her longing to remain with him. "When we must part tonight, simply relish the anticipation of our reunion and you will find yourself able to not only sleep, but have the most splendid of nightmares."

"Hearing the things you speak, I find myself endlessly tortured within a tempest," Anna answered, "Within a passion so chaotic; each consonant escaping your lips seethed with the madness of Hell, yet each vowel rang as sweet as sheer heaven. Truly, never had I dreamed of being deserving of such pleasure on earth, that which would render my old self consumed in fierce jealousy. Your passions, my young lord, plunge me into the cursed cliffs and chasms of desire, where I hopelessly await the sharpened sting of your thorn." She continued sweetly in his ears, "I am your victim. Entice me, my flawless one."
Thorn had shown her a glimpse of his darkness; and instead of fleeing, Anna fought those fears and savored the raw brilliance of his words. A starving soul would always return for food, and a seared soul would: for life. Beneath his intense wants, the core of her being both craved and parched; leaving her begging for every edge of him.
"In this castle, none other could weave such intense and intricate fabric of words as you do, setting me ablaze with your desires..." Anna nodded in understanding of his explanation. "Yet so are good and evil, I reckon? They name things, deeming each as 'good' and 'noble', yet do they not stop people from admitting the thrilling taste of power? People are afraid to do 'evil' and thus weakened to be 'good', but do they not think of themselves powerless for a moment? But I felt power when you spoke of the spiders earlier," Anna smiled enigmatically, "An enthralling chill it was, my dearest Thorn."
At first, she was doubtful of being able to understand him. His powers and desires, extremely and sacredly dark as they were, spoke of sublimity; and Anna was yet to grasp them, having learned about his history from the precious books which he showed her. Indeed, those powers and desires had compelled her towards him; inexplicably, inescapably. Yet this fateful night, those dreams and fears pierced her soul deeply, like a stab of sword upon her heart; entrapping her entire being with his passions, exchanging her needful things with his glorious wishes.
Anna knew it was his way of expressing his ardent desires, and she fell even harder for his unmasked zealousness.
Thorn returned and brought two glasses of punch for themselves, when she heard him spoke of her anticipation and nightmares. All at once, seemingly unremitting flashes of gushing red and ivory canines assaulted her consciousness. Snarls and chatters broke her defenses, stabbing her mind with the cruelest of intentions. Her slender soul knuckled harshly under the invisible oppression, sending her gasping for breaths. Those old nightmares had fled in his presence, a presence so pleasant yet so sublimely venomous; and it could be assured that the nightmares to come would be the most splendid of their kind, indeed.
"I came alive, the instant your lips beheld mine," she panted. "My dearest," she carried on, dragging herself even closer under his breath, "Let every inch of benevolence and innocence depart from me, that I shall be completely yours, on this hallowed midnight day... To its daybreak, to always. Let your truest visions be mine to see, your wicked desires mine to relish, and your grimmest thoughts mine to ponder; that my heart will beat for your devotions alone." Pressing herself against him, gazing affectionately into the depths of his obsidian eyes, she continued, "Let my satisfaction be complete in the fullness of your knowledge, as the sun has likewise shone his light upon the moon. She can never wish to radiate as the sun, yet she shall delight most pleasurably in the fervency of his flames." While Anna gently pulled away, looking for the glass of punch, she smiled mischievously at Thorn, saying, "The honor of walking beside you, my dearest one, belongs to both of us."
There would be no comforting words to awake to, nor gentle dreams to sleep to; for in darkness the sleeping sea had awakened, dwelling in ambush.

Thorn could say all his wished about not having feelings of love for her, but something seemingly richer, but the fact was he did love Nienna. He loved her madly. He wanted to be around her constantly and the fact that she lived in one of the high towers and he in the sub-levels of the castle drove him mad due to such a distance. But Thorn kept his cool, kept his madness in check. He was to be this woman's inspiration, to ensure that she continued to be the wicked soul that drove him so wild with passion, and to be that inspiration he could not show vulnerability. She was the wise one... he had to be the strong one.
"There is a powerful being that Muggles who practice what is known as religion speaks of... one that is so powerful that the entity rises above good and evil," he said. "Does that particular being exist? That I cannot say as I limit myself in the study of those pathetic non-magical folk. But perhaps with our potential as wizard and witch, we could become such beings in time... powerful enough that the concepts of love, hate, kindness, wickedness, courage, cowardice no longer apply to us. Would you like to achieve that, my dearest? Would you be willing to do anything to achieve it?" When he asked the second question, his eyes could easily be mistaken for those of the Devil himself.
As Anna went on, Thorn wanted to be in her arms again, but decided to obtain the punch instead before responding. He sat and handed her the punch before lifting his glass.
"A toast... to... well to us... what more is there to say?" he said.

He was the meaning to her sustenance. She would have skipped a heartbeat had he wished her to. This was their deadly dance, their unbreakable vow to one another; an allegiance bound to subdue the plague of death.
"Yes," Anna answered. The word escaped barely a whisper; for she understood the gravity of his request, she understood the darkness of it all. Yet still she wished to continue dancing with the devil in this lifetime; until her feet would hurt and her skin would crack open, bleeding and lifeless; until no more dance was left in those shrunken feet. All, in the name of passion.
"Yes, Thad, I am," she repeated, this time an increased conviction ringing in her voice. "Remember this always, even when all else fails, that I trust you. And I am with you, no matter what happens. I am madly, completely, entirely with you." Anna winced at the pain of hearing her own futile words, vain and weightless under the grave burden of her emotions. "You are the only one who truly knows me, the only one whom I would like to please."
She remained for a long moment.
"Even if it would mean taking my own life, know that you are worth every breath, every tear, every pain, every heartbeat, every hour, every day and night," she breathed again, gazing longingly into the eyes of the Devil. "Always."
She desired him, too, madly; as madly as a lunatic poet making her suicidal attempt in tracing music with words. She desired his presence, his entire darkness to enshroud her completely. But the fact was that they lived in an imperfect world; and as much as they thought otherwise, they, too, were the imperfect beings who lived within. Solace would depart her, when Thorn would leave tonight; soon, for the night was bound to end. She had tasted his sweetness, and retreating from him was more painful than her nightmares. All familiar senses would fail her, as if the castle towers and dungeons were mere illusions; and Thorn was the only reality she desperately knew.
To her, power was a drug, an adrenaline; but Thorn was her hunger and thirst, her reason for being.
"Thad," Anna said, "I could be driven mad by my desires for you, and be oblivious to it, as a butterfly flaps its unknowing wings towards the spider, ready to be ravaged. Yet, what wouldn't I give to have you?" She was lost in the moment, unable to find the right words to say. "You make me feel... Strong, yet weak at the same time. I would give my life, my entire hopes and dreams for you, all of me, love, yet I would still feel so helpless beneath these desires." Finally, with a hint of exasperation, she said, "I know you wish to be strong for us, love. But how am I to fight with you, if I am not strong? I would surely be an incapacity." She looked at him, begging for understanding, "Will you show me how to be strong, Thad? To be so strong that nothing could say otherwise."
Caught up within their passions so profoundly, she did not want to spend a split second away from him. Anna was confused and afraid, and she wished to tell him just how confused and afraid she was. How she wished for time to stop at that instant, for their love to plainly rest frozen in time. She wished for all these; not knowing that he was already struggling against himself, fighting against his own mad desires, fighting to show her just how strong he could be.
And so graciously, she took the glass from his hand. Nodding with a smile, she said, "A toast... For us."
Parting was a torment, but it was also a relief for those who burnt the brightest and bravest. Parting was a reminder for them to protect the flickering flame; to let the fire burn softly, but surely.

After another flow of her sweet words, Nienna had asked Thad to make her be strong. She wanted to be a goddess as much as he wanted to be a god. Could they reach that level in their lifetime? Perhaps. Perhaps not. But to seek that power, that chance to be better than all others in existence be they magical or non-magical folks, now that he had Nienna at his side he would not fear to attempt it.... and he knew where to begin...
It was time to tell Nienna about the Dark Lady and the Black Army.
"I will show you how to be strong, that I promise," he whispered.
After the toast, Thad invited her to a more private place. To be romantic? Yes a little. But for what he was about to tell her, no one who had no business listening in could hear. If one did and took action, Thorn was as good as dead, and perhaps Nienna as well.
Once at the private place of Nienna's choice, Thad looked at her with both devotion and darkness in his eyes.
"Nienna... what if I told you that you could be part of something that was bigger than yourself... us?" he asked. "What if I told you I knew one who may very well be the most powerful dark magic user in the world?"

"I will show you how to be strong, that I promise." She held her heart out, tirelessly awaiting his promise.
Anna was walking beside Thorn towards the Broom Cupboard while occasionally casting furtive glances sideways. Even though she knew nobody would be there, it was at least prudent to avoid Peeves, or Filch, or some sneaking span of eyes. Thorn seemed anxious to be with her in private; his whisper evident of hidden desires.
Once inside the cupboard, she charmed the doors locked. " Muffliato," she charmed again. Hushedly, she continued, " Lumos." A weak glow beamed at the tip of her wand, as translucent as a frosted ghost. In the darkness, his eyes glinted devilishly. Slowly, Anna stepped backwards towards the wall; leaning against its cold, hard surface before asking him to come closer. She had no reason to be afraid of him, and she wished to show him just how brave she could be; before he began to speak of much greater things. His words brought her wit back into focus. " Most powerful dark magic user, in the world?" Gears began shifting in her mind. " Even... More powerful than your ancestors, Thad, more powerful than Voldemort? So it is true then, that something great still remains buried out there..." Anna felt a thrill swelling up her chest, and she mused aloud as the thought substantiated, " You're within the ranks, Thad? Yes, with your great inheritance... It would only make sense. And surely, one so powerful must command an admirable arsenal?" She sighed silently, grateful for the Muffliato. Had Thad been heard by a soul... She dared not imagine the fatality of the outcome. Yet, the fact that Thorn was willing to entrust such deadly information upon her, also bespoke his desire to entice her into the dark; someway, somehow. And indeed, wishing to know more about this powerful being, Anna thus pressed on, " Those loitering and lurking Aurors... Those rumors of the Headmistress, I daresay that these are somehow closely associated, then?" All her life; people had been protecting her, telling her what a good girl she was, when all she wanted was something much greater. Something much more sinister, she had come to realise. At last, the unfortunate misfit had found her destiny in the great universe.
It was her time to break free, to prove that her allegiance to his darkness was not found in words alone. It was easy.
Presently, her dauntlessness grew stronger; hesitating no longer. The agreement was on the verge of her lips; when instantly, a startling realisation struck her a hard blow. Her identity... How was she to defend her blood purity? Weighing her words thoughtfully, she whispered, "What is this wretched soul to do, to guard a cause so sacred and tremendous?" She looked down at her feet before continuing, heart disfigured by her confusion.
"When every drop of my blood denies such honor."
Anna understood it well, that Thorn had avoided his care regarding this particular flaw of hers; that he could have preferred to remain silent about it. Now that Anna had raised her ultimate concern, she became rather unsure of his response. Anna looked on at him, eyes searching for a glimpse of mercy.

Thorn nodded slowly when Nienna asked about how powerful the Dark Lady was. Did he know for sure if she was more powerful than Voldemort was? Not completely, but he was in the evil woman's ranks and would dare not speak lowly of her.
"As powerful as any I have ever seen or heard of," he said. "She is the Dark Lady, and she holds the key to that power which you and I crave. And yes, I am as loyal to her as I am to you, only in a different way of course. With Mug-bloods and Blood Traitors being more and more accepted among the masses, her future is the only one for us."
Thorn smiled wickedly about the incident with the Headmistress and the patrolling Aurors.
"She was behind the kidnapping and any number of other things," he said. "She is the puppeteer pulling the strings of our society and so many don't even know it."
Nienna asked what she was to do and Thorn took her hands.
"All you must do is become part of it all... to share this future with me, my dearest," he said. He then leaned in and kissed her again.

She saw his darkness showing again, even darker than his static silhouette.
Anna listened closely as Thorn confessed his destiny and allegiance towards the Dark Lady, her mind still unsure of how he could help her fit into the immaculate ranks of wizards. Yet presently she wished to listen further, before rashly offering him a question or two; the stacks forming quickly in her mind.
Even so; she was barely shocked by it all, for she had had an inkling of his sheer darkness. Truthfully, Anna even thought Thorn capable of being the most powerful dark magic wielder; once he reached adulthood. For the instant, she felt most alive and aroused upon his revelation. For the first time in forever, she could be part of something great; and she would risk everything for Thorn and herself to attain power. She simply needed time and more knowledge, and even more time with Thorn. She bit her lower lip, deep in anticipation over what would arrive afterwards.
Anna nodded, albeit hesitatingly, when Thorn raised his point regarding the bloodlines. She made a note to herself, saying she should grow more confident of herself; if Thorn was not crushing her soul away, she had absolutely no reasons to. Upon hearing his remarks on her uncanny ability to pull the strings of this magical society, her eyes widened in curiosity. Anna craved for that kind of power. To exert control over people and have them scrambling at her will... Blind Puffskeins in a fiery maze. She pulled even closer towards him, breathing, "This wicked heart yearns to learn that."
When he took her hands in his, she felt compelled to hide within his embrace, to kiss him until the morning light flooded the entire castle; which seemed too soon, still. Her heart went psychedelic, perceptions disarrayed and wickedness purified. His glorious words... She was already blinded, from the moment he kissed her forehead; she was already his to command. Anna could desire and fight for her own ambitions, but the truth was that Thorn was her salvation; and she would give all for his benefit. If she could get out alive, she wished that she would spend a cursed eternity with him. If her destiny was meant for the graveled gallows, she prayed that Thad would find what he sought so hard for.
"Take me, my vernal demon," she whispered, "As you will." She could cast away her fears, yet she chose to keep them by her side. He told her that she could use them into strengths, and it was exactly what she needed to do. Anna gathered her nightmares and offered her body for their bidding. They burst forth all at once, following in a wild dance as he kissed her lips, once again. After a long moment, her lungs screamed for air; yet they kept her dancing until her chest began to hurt in the dark.
She could learn this mad dance.
Forsaking her innocent inhibition, she pulled him closer around the waist and kissed him again; longer and harder, until her breaths returned to normal and her gaze softened into his. "Say your commands, love."

When Thorn originally met Nienna, he had one goal, and now that goal was accomplished. The girl was now more than willing to be in the Black Army, to make the forces of the Dark Lady all that more powerful. But so much more than that happened. Their dark hearts had become one. Thorn and Nienna had an alliance even greater than what they would have in the service of the Dark Lady.
"I will take you, my dearest..." he whispered. "To places you could only dream of, to levels you once believed could not be reached. Where I go, I take you with me."
She then asked for his command and he looked at her with icy passion.
"I will send the Dark Lady a secret owl," he said. "And my command is when the time comes to meet her, you must hold no other obligations and allow anyone or anything to stand in your way. Once you have joined the Black Army, there is no going back."
And he meant this. If Nienna turned from them or betrayed them, even he would hunt her down and kill her. That was his devotion to the Dark Lady.
