if Valentyna knew she could be "seen", would she have acted differently? Would she have been more careful? No, not her. She probably would have put on even more of a show. That was the dark witch's style after all.

In the back of her shop, she walked around the young man who was tied to a chair. She tapped the wand on her left palm and hummed a bit. The man was terrified.

"Poor boy," she said. "Who knows? You may have had potential as a dark wizard and yet you waste it all on being a petty thief. Not that I despise thieves in general mind you..." She chuckled at this. "Hell, I know a few fascinating ones I wouldn't mind having a night of chicanery with. But you tried to steal from my shop... and that, my dear, handsome boy... was wrong." She then stopped and leaned closer to him, her lips near his gagged mouth. "Boys who are naughty to me must be punished... but how? What to do with you?"

Audrey had been cooking dinning for her husband when she got a horrible headache. She ignored it, putting it off. She must be stressed out, or Merlin forbid she was coming down with something. She had just turned down the stove when she felt really dizzy. She stumbled into the wall bracing onto as the world spun. She felt like she was drifting away from herself.

She travelled through England faster than any broom Audrey had ever been on. She went through the Leaky Cauldron via the muggle entrance than into Diagon Alley into a shop she had never been in her whole life. She preferred Madam Malkin’s, or making her own clothes, though that never worked but she tried. She was always quite careful where she shopped or went to. Not that many people knew who she was but there would be that one person that did.

Her breathing was heavy. She was terrified she would be seen. This didn’t seem like a good situation. She didn’t understand what was go on. This was quite strange. She couldn’t help not watching, she was quite curious of what was happening. Though she wasn’t sure how to leave anyways. She was stuck here for the moment. She couldn’t even wrap her mind about what is going on.

Val sat in the boy's lap and stroked his air, almost like a wild cat toying with it's prey. She grinned wickedly at him, licking her lips as if she was preparing for the feast. She wasn't a cannibal of course, but she knew that her prisoner didn't know that.

"Do you know what curse I hate?" she asked. "The Killing Curse. It's so quick. There's no suffering or screaming. Just some lame gasp and the victim is gone... dead... poof. I try to avoid the Killing Curse unless I really have to use it." She then stuck her wand to his neck. "Now... the Cruciatus Curse... that one is fun. And there is soooo much delicious suffering there. Weeping... screaming... begging, and the best part is I get to make my victims tell me anything and everything I want. That's the best part... the dirty little secrets."

She stared at him, her panther animagus' eyes flashing to add a little scare in him.

"Tell me, handsome... has anyone ever hit you with the Cruciatus Curse?" she asked. The sweating boy shook his head. "Really? Well, as my pathetic father used to say... there's a first time for everything." She then rose, walked away slowly for a moment, then spun around and aimed her wand at him. "Crucio!"

The screams to follow would be almost unbearable to anyone listening in.

Audrey was frozen in shock watching the woman. She didn’t know who she was, but she looked like someone she might now. The ease she spoke of such spells told Audrey she was a dark witch. She was having a hard time piecing things together. She couldn’t focus but it was becoming clear that the woman, nor the boy noticed Audrey.

Audrey covered her ears hearing the boy scream. She had discovered her parents dead in their home, but she had never seen anything like this. She felt anger burning her throat. He was just a boy. Just a kid. She didn’t condole stealing, but this wasn’t the punishment he deserved. But she also found she could do nothing but watch. The sound was haunting, and painful to her ears. She wanted to do something but couldn’t. She could only cover her ears. Hot tears of frustration rolled down her cheeks. She kept imaging the boy as one of her girls. That thought was unbearable. Knowing a young man not much younger or older than her girls was being tortured like this hit too close to home.

Back in the kitchen Audrey’s body was ice cold. She was staring blankly off into space. There was no emotion, or movement. She was frozen in place unaware of time. Anyone could burst into her home, and could steal things right from under her nose, and she wouldn’t even notice.

Usually when one did the Cruciatus Curse, it was to extract information from someone. And sure enough, the boy managed to get his gag off and ask her what she wanted to know from him. Val laughed loudly at this.

"Information?" she asked. "You think I'm trying to obtain information from you? Sorry, love, I just like what you scream in pain. I love when those who cross me learn just what a terrible mistake they've made. Savor the pain, sweetheart. It will all have to end soon."

Yes it would. Torture would only drive him to madness, and Val couldn't have him leave whether he be in his right mind or not. Even mad, he could ramble about her, and that would cost her the shop and perhaps even her life as her capture could affect the Black Army, and that would anger the Dark Lady a great deal.

Audrey was simply stunned. She had to find a way to get out of this. She was starting to panic. She wanted to leave now. Being stuck watching this driving her insane. All she could do was watch. It was the worst thing she had ever experienced. She kept wondering if she was dead, but it didn’t feel like it. This was so confusing. She wasn’t sure this was all even real. But it sounded so real, at least the screams. She kept trying to wake herself up, as if she was in a dream.

Then something else hit Audrey as the words sunk in. She was this boy’s only hope for justice. No one was going to believe her, but she had to say something. Maybe her husband could find the right person for her to talk to. She began to wonder if this was part of her seer abilities. Maybe she had to get the Ministry to register as a proper seer than tell them. Her mind was racing trying to find a way to help the boy. Maybe this hadn’t happened yet, or maybe it was just another strange thing seer’s did. She still didn’t know the woman’s name. She had to try at least.

(I like the notion of this being the future she sees. After this post, we can definitely do a time bump to a period preceding actual event if you'd like.)

The boy was now just sobbing, begging for the pain to end. Val just stood watching and smiling. She then heard the bell on the door ringing a great deal in her shop.

"Ooooh.... how fortunate you are, darling," she hissed. "I have my business to run in there and I can't have them hearing your screams, can I? I'll end the pain now. You would like that, wouldn't you?"

"Yes... please," cried the boy.

"Shhh... there, there." She the grinned and aimed her wand at him. "Avada Kedavra!" And in a second, the boy's head limped over... dead. "I do so hate using that curse, but what must be done must be done." She walked over to him. "Feel better now? Good." She then blew the corpse a kiss and made her way back to the front of the store.

Audrey knew the boy wouldn’t leave. People like this witch aren’t going to let you go. The false hope was worse than the torture. Tears formed in her eyes. The poor boy. This wasn’t right. Her heart ached, because she could do nothing.

‘NO!’ she screamed, though it did nothing. They could hear or see her. Just as she couldn’t interact with them. This whatever was happening was torture enough.

She felt a pull. She didn’t fight it, she was sure it was the same pull that brought her there. She soared backwards towards her body. It was an explainable feeling. There were no words that described that feeling. She was free from the nightmare that had occurred.

Audrey blinked several times as she found herself back in the kitchen. She felt very weak in the legs. Her heat was pulsating in her ears. The light hurt her eyes. The ground felt as if it was moving under her feet. She stumbled into the living room where she collapsed on the touch. Falling into unconsciousness. It would be at least a half hour before Percy came home from work.

‘Audie, I’m home!’ called Percy as she closed the door behind him. He looked around the dining room, and the kitchen to find food on the stove but no Audrey. He wondered into the living room confused. It wasn’t like Audrey to leave food unattended, or not to respond to him when he got home. He passed the couch several times before realising Audrey was on the couch.

‘Audrey, love, come on wake up,’ said Percy shaking Audrey’s arm. ‘Audrey, come on sleep head,’ said Percy more firmly. ‘Audrey, wake up this isn’t funny!’ he said his voice breaking a bit. ‘Audrey, Audrey, come on, wake up, please wake up, you’re scaring me,’ he pleaded. She wasn’t waking up. Something wasn’t right. Percy checked her pulse, she was breathing perfectly fine. What to do? What to do? He paced back and forth before contracting the healer, whom had done everything for their family since Audrey was pregnant all those years ago.

(I felt like that was a good place to end it. But yeah, that sounds great. We can do that after she gets out of St. Mungo’s, which would probably be close to a week after seeing the event. I don’t think seer’s see something that is going to happen the next day or the day after. But, anyway, the St. Mungo’s thread I’ll have open for all the Weasley’s. We can talk later details)
