The Viaduct courtyard had several parts, which Aiden himself would never have learned except for his girlfriend's habit of pulling him into adventures that had his heart pounding at danger and risk. The courtyard itself was easy enough, but it did have a roof on the sides which he had been on twice (it was slippery as Merlin in the rain). Fortunately despite the threat of rain in the clouds right now and an earlier shower, it was dry and he wasn't up there. He was actually on the outside walkway leaning on the parapet.
The view from the castle was good nearly anytime, but right now he was resting after having finished his warm ups and a few fencing rounds sans sword. It didn't pay to have a practice sword outside in plain sight of adults usually despite his lessons in it in the past. However, in loose cotton pants and oversized shirt he had a lot of limberness to work with. The practice had gone well as always in his bare feet (shoes a few feet away) and he was enjoying the ozone smell of the outdoors as he leaned there. While it might have been too cool for another right now to be out in bare feet, Aiden was overheated from the rough stretches.
Fencing was not for sissies.
Ever since his break through with Ally, Aiden had felt like something was healing up inside of him. Maybe he had always been a partial person and just had not realized it so much till now. She certainly brought out things from inside him no one else could and knew it; the deviltry winking at him from her eyes might have changed slightly since their kiss, but not the naughtiness in her mind. He could see it in her, waiting for the right chance to break forth and drag him off into some new adventure, cause him to take risks. A smile graced his eyes and mouth as he thought of staying at her place for Christmas would mean; she applied a crowbar to his world view, blowing his mind. She knew she had him by the short & curlies now and there wasn't a thing he could do about it, nor was he trying. No, he'd follow her anywhere without too much resistance except if it seemed she could get hurt. Was this what relationships were supposed to be like?
