Off-Duty Consoltation (Lyla)

Lyla took more sips... And a bit more before Ilsa had given her a warning about nursing the drink and then explaining what was in it. "Whew, I can tell now about that last part." she giggled a bit, the alcohol kicking in. "Aww, me too honestly. They said houses were like family but you're more like family to me than any Ravenclaw and almost all of my actual family." she smiled at her friend. "I'd love living here. But the twins. Irene is just like the family which is scary." she ended the topic there, not wanting to dampen the mood. She took another sip, already a little less than 1/2 through her drink. She sat there for a few minutes more, petting Galleon, admiring Ilsa's place, and simply taking in the stress free evening the two friends were sharing together before speaking again, but this time Lyla was on her way to being drunk.

"Ilsa do you remember Foxer Abner? Arch's cousin?" she began, already sounding less like the usually tough, well composed woman she usually was, but more like a bit of a teenager. "Why is he always out to ruin my life? Did I ever get 'round to telling you what the twit did to me at that damn press conference?" she frowned, taking more of her drink. Ilsa would probably be able to tell that she was influenced by alcohol now because... well... Lyla avoided talking about Foxer, mentioning him or even thinking about him as much as possible. The only way she'd talk about him was if she was drunk. "Like...Why does he have to be so rude? He's man candy to look at but he's such a sour fellow now..." she ranted on, her words trailing off as she thought about he past. Her head felt fuzzier than before.

Ilsa smiled when Lyla called her family.

"I felt the same," she said. "Had some friends in Hufflepuff, but I only had one best friend, and she was wearing blue and living in a tower." Ilsa winked and toasted her. "To besties... always."

Ilsa then listened as she brought up Foxer. When she brought up what the guy did at the press conference, Ilsa leaned in and made a mock-sinister face.

"What did he do... and how many I destroy him?" she asked. Galleon raised his ears at this, confused by what his mistress was doing. She gave him a reassuring pet.

Ilsa then listened on as Lyla spoke of him being handsome, but a real arse.

"Sweetie, do you know how many handsome blokes I've encounter that stopped at being handsome?" she asked. "No offense, but I hope how Foxer looks isn't what's making you still put up with his rubbish. Seriously, I can run him off for good."

Lyla smiled and held up her glass as well. "To besties." she nodded, and reached over to gently clank glasses carefully. It was a bit of a challenge but luckily she was able to keep her drink in her glass and not all over Ilsa's furniture or floor. As she spoke about Foxer, Ilsa made a face and then spoke. "Nooooo don't destroy him. He's so pretty." her eyes got big and a small smile crossed her face, her thoughts flickering back to the Hogwarts days when she and Foxer were friends. He meant a lot to her back then and deep down, she still had a soft spot for him despite how bitter he had turned to her and everyone after she broke his heart and married Archer.

"I just want to be friends again but he's such an arse now. I want old Foxy back." she pouted, her words beginning to slur. She put the drink down on the table in front of her. "I'm drunk. No more drink for me." he laughed, seeing that most of her drink was gone anyways. "Ilsa I'm going to find you a man. A very very handsome man that is not a big pile of bat bogies." She began to ramble, the alcohol making her very talkative. "Then I'll plan your wedding and it'll be the funnest time ever. How do you feel about....about lilac. It's a pretty color"

Ilsa laughed hard when Lyla asked not to destroy Foxer because he was so pretty. Perhaps a bit too hard. Probably the alcohol.

"Alright, but he still sounds like he needs a good lesson taught to him," she said.

Ilsa listened with understanding when Lyla said she just wanted to be friends with Foxer. She also hoped that plan didn't blow up in her face and cause her more hurt.

"Well, just remember that you should only give him so many chances or he's going to end up driving you mad, and then I'll have to break you out of a bloody asylum," she said, though with a smile on her face at the last part.

Her eyes then widened when Lyla promised to find her a man. A blush formed on her face.

"Well... I mean... I'm not really looking for one..." she then took a sip of her drink. "But... do you know of anyone that might fit the bill?" She then laughed. "And lilac is lovely, but don't over plan there."

Lyla laughed too hard when Ilsa mentioned having to break her out of an asylum after Foxer drove her mad. "Glad to know I have an escape plan!" she smiled at Ilsa before she thought about what she said about Foxer. It was completely logical and she was right, but for some reason, Lyla simply couldn't "be done" with Foxer. No matter how angry, upset and hurt he made her feel, she always found herself more than willing to give him chances to miraculously forgive her for all of the hurt and pain she had caused him years and years ago.

"Hmm...Let me tap into my love guru powers." the blonde smirked before she sat criss cross on the couch and acted like she was meditating. "Not right now, but I will be on the lookout. Perhaps I'll find a nice and strong auror. Oh with abs too!" she waggled her eyebrows at Ilsa before breaking into a fit of giggles. "I'll take note of that, but yes, I will hold off your wedding plans until I find Mr. Ilsa Galant." the blonde then yawned and blinked. "I think I'm really drunk.." she slurred a bit, starting to feel a bit sleepy.

Ilsa laughed about the escape from the asylum. She could just picture it in her head, two crazy women on the run from the Aurors.

"If we get caught, I can hire myself as our lawyer," she joked.

She then raised an eyebrow. Wow Lyla was serious about getting someone for her. This would be interesting, especially when the two loaded at the moment. She shook her head about the Auror though.

"No, no Aurors," she said. "I love being friends with an Auror-to-be, but just don't see myself dating one. I'd come home from a day in court and he'd be out patrolling. When would I bloody see him?"

Ilsa snickered when she heard "Mr. Ilsa Galant". She actually then wondered if she could talk the guy she ended up with into changing his last name. She was about to say something when Lyla showed she was sleepy.

"Alright, my lovely, let's get you to bed then," she said, attempting to help her friend up.

Ilsa spoke out against dating an Auror and Lyla nodded with understanding. It was completely reasonable to want someone that she could be home and spend time with, as opposed to the outrageous hours Aurors worked and the unpredictability of the schedule. "Totally get it- you want someone you can cuddle up to at night." she giggled, making a gushy sounding voice on purpose. "Perhaps a healer then? Or maybe someone who owns their own business- they have to be smart I bet." she wandered out loud with a smile. Ilsa had never been one to seem lonely about not having a significant other and Lyla admired that she was independent and not afraid of it, but she couldn't help but want to see her have a better love life than the one she had.

It looked like Ilsa was about to say something but changed her mind and decided to put the hammered blonde to bed. "What were you going to say, love?" she smiled softly, taking Ilsa's hand and pulling herself up from her seat. She swayed a bit and stumbled a little bit, almost toppling into Ilsa. "Woah," she whispered to herself, laughing at how foreign walking felt. "This shall be interesting," she commented, referring to the pair of drunken best friends attempting to help each other to bed. Hopefully they wouldn't fall over and hurt themselves- how embarrassing would it be to show up to St. Mungos with a broken bone caused by two intoxicated ladies falling over each other while trying to go to their rooms? Lyla laughed at the thought.

Ilsa wasn't against cuddling with a guy. As long as it was a guy that was good for more than that. Physical affection was great, but if there was just sizzle and no steak, she wouldn't be happy.

"I need a guy I can BE with is all I am saying," she said. "A guy that is there for me and I can be there for when we need each other or just want to be around each other. And probably someone Galleon there will be jealous of." Galleon's ears raised at his name and Isla pet him. "You know you're irreplaceable, big guy."

Ilsa just shook her head when Lyla asked if she was going to say something.

"Nothing, sweetie," she said as she walked with Lyla, stumbling a bit herself. "Get some rest, we'll sleep in and then find something to do tomorrow. Just enjoy the day. Okay?"

Once she helped Lyla to bed, she kissed her on the forehead. Galleon laid beside the bed, planning to not leave Lyla's side that night.

"You really are a great best friend, you know that?" she said with a smile. "Sleep well, lovely lady."
