Buttercup sat and watched his master run back and forth between the water pump and the workshop, gradually putting out a large fire with small buckets of water. For every invention Merville got right and ensured his family's financial stability, there were at least three or four disasters before he did get it right. With the fire finally out, he wiped then ash off his face with a wet towel. He then eyed the family Rottweiler and smiled.

"Time for Plan C," he said. Buttercup just groaned and laid down. The dog was wise enough to just stay where he was when Merville was at work.

As Merville headed back into the shop, his wife Lotus walked out and calmly asked if the fire had been put out while she mixed a bowl of pudding for the evening meal.

"Yes dear," smiled Merville. "You might want to get a fresh bucket ready... just in case..."

Dariell had a bit of free time and since finding out that Bryony was pregnant he'd needed a much needed get away from his art easels. He'd had an appointment with a young couple about some wedding pictures that they wanted done for their ceremony and he discussed with them all the options and then they booked them. Their wedding was in a couple of weeks and he definitely could do it. But after the appointment he didn't quite want to go home so he decided he was best off visiting someone he hadn't seen in a while. Oh Flora would have him for this one, but he decided to go visit his brother Merville and his wife Lotus.

As he apparated nearby his brother's home he could already smell the bit of smoke coming off from something catching fire. He gave a chuckle and made his way to his brother's house. He came up the path as his Lotus was making sure everything was out and Merville telling her that it was. Getting an extra bucket of water would be a good idea. It had been a good while since Dariell had been here to his brother's home but here he was remembering it like it was yesterday. Well his brother was at least still up to his old ways, working on some crazy invention. He liked the more calming sense of painting but it was then he realized that both of the men were more alike than he previously thought. While his brother enjoyed the creation of inventions, he enjoyed the creation of art, they both sat away in their own areas and did this all day trying to make a living for their families. Dariell was more like his brother than he'd ever thought he'd be.

”You know what would be good, a muggle fire extinguishing system,” he told his brother making his presence known.

Merville looked over when he heard the voice and beamed. Like his daughter Silvia, Merville had a wealth of love and understanding. And he loved his brother dearly. The fact that his brother was a bit different from the rest of the family in a lot of ways, and the fact that he married a woman who did not care all that much for Merville and his wife and daughter, did not prevent this brotherly love from always being strong.

Merville ran over and placed his hands on his brother's arms.

"Brother Dariell!" he said. "It's been so terribly long!" He then embraced him. Once the hug was broken, he smiled at him again. "Why, what brings you here? Oh it matters not, you are here! Come in, we'll have some Elderflower Tea!"

"Hello Dariell," smiled Lotus. Being a werewolf, Lotus was a tad more aggressive in her feelings toward Flora than Merville was, but she always liked Dariell. Still, there was not a physical reception such as the one Merville gave him. "It's nice to see you again."
