Nott Grange...
The number of times Daphne's best friend Pansy had come over for tea were numerous. They were, after all, the best of friends. However, today was an important day. Today Daphne had much to discuss with Pansy, something a bit different from the usual banter about fashion and gossip about this person and that person. Today was about discussing some recent and surprising events in the Trifecta. The Malfoys, Notts, and Zabinis were both family in a literal and figurative sense, and what happened to one or a few was made to be all of their business.
With the tea prepared, Daphne awaited her friend.

Things had been taking place lately within the three close families; The Malfoys, Zabinis, and Notts. Things that weren't exactly appreciated or looked up at. Pansy was very familiar by now of the rumor of Scorpius' engagement, to a Weasley no less. While Pansy had grown up since Hogwarts and even worked with some of them now, she still didn't care for them. All the same, she didn't care for their blood status and she surely didn't believe a Malfoy needed to marry one of them. So, when she was invited by her best friend for tea, she was sure there would be a lot to discuss.
With a pop, the older woman found herself in front of Daphne's home, a smile taking place on her lips. Despite the fact this meeting might turn into a long discussion about things mentioned, she was always happy to see her friend. Walking up to the door, she knocked, but didn't wait for an answer as she knew it would be okay to just walk in. She was welcomed there just as much as Daphne was welcomed in her home. "Daphne dear, I have arrived."
(note: hope you don't mind me saying it was okay for her to let herself in. i can change that if so.)

(No, it's fine. I would see Daphne being cool with that.)
Daphne heard the knock and rose. She stepped over, giving Pansy the usual tiny embrace and kiss on both cheeks.
"Pansy, darling, you look radiant as always," she said. "Mmmm, is that a new fragrance I smell? You must tell me what it is." She then cleared her throat. "Anyway, let's sit down and have some tea. So much to tell you... though I'm sure you already know some of the news."
Daphne sat and poured some tea for her and Pansy before looking at the House Elf who stepped over.
"The sandwiches and cakes..." she said. "I thought I made it clear this was a High Tea." The elf bowed and ran to get them. Daphne then turned back to Pansy. "First my nephew disappoints me and now... my own son. One is marrying a... Weasley, and the other is having his girlfriend move in with him... out of wedlock." Daphne looked as if it damn near killed her to say that last part.

When greeted by Daphne, Pansy followed suit with the usual embrace and kiss on both cheeks. Smiling at the other woman, she shook her head at the question. "No, I've had this perfume for quite some time. However, I don't wear it as often as my usual. And you look positively grand as well." She told her friend before following her to take a seat. "I'm sure I know what this is about, but do tell. I'm always here for a listening ear." The older woman assured her friend, ready to hear everything that was going on in her life. It wasn't hard to figure out what at least part of the conversation would be about, but who knew what else might be going on.
Pansy watched as the elf scrambled away, her head shaking at the sight. "If only they got it right the first time, right?" She asked, her words sounding slightly frustrated, but only for her friend. That elf was always trouble in Pansy's opinion. It really didn't know how to listen. The proper set up for High Tea was not rocket science. Listening intently, Pansy nodded her head to show that she was listening. "Yes, so I've heard." She spoke up about Scorpius and that Weasley girl. "Such a shame he's marrying her. He obviously doesn't understand what a Weasley will bring to the family." She paused for a moment as she shifted. "Which is nothing. Absolutely nothing. The girl is a Weasley for crying out loud. Disgusting." Her jaw however almost dropped at the news of Daphne's son. "You don't say! Oh Daphne, I was sure Cole knew better!"

Daphne sighed about the elf. "A new one here," she said. "His name is.. is... well it's not important, is it? He's still trying to figure things out."Daphne sighed. How right Pansy was. Weasleys connected to the Trifecta. Her father and mother were rolling in their graves. "I mean, it's not that anything is wrong with Rose herself, she's a dear," said Daphne. "But... Arthur and Molly Weasley... Ron... her Muggleborn mother... they're the ones I dread having among us." Daphne usually didn't show this level of disdain that she had for "blood traitors" and Muggleborns in the general public, but it was a side she revealed to those like Pansy. She felt she could be a bit more herself about her best friend. She nodded about Cole. "Well, he's determined to go through it it," she said. "I told him very well, but I have no qualms about telling him that I told him so when Katrina gets pregnant and they will have to give up everything to support the child."(OCC: OBVIOUSLY Daphne doesn't know Rose's secret, so that will be... interesting when the time comes, .) @pansyparkinson
