Silvia enjoyed reading, especially rare and unusual books. While she found a few at Tomes and Scrolls now and then, she could never find them in mass. Silvia was a fast reader, and therefore liked to buy several books at a time. As Silvia stepped out of HoneyDukes eating some taffy she had purchased and looked around until she spotted the Missing Page. She had seen the store before, but for some reason had never stepped into it. She found herself quite curious as to why. Perhaps because she was so used to going to Tomes and Scrolls? But that was not like her, to stay with the norm. Without hesitation, she headed over to the store. Once inside, she stopped and looked about. She saw books she had never seen before. Where those... Muggle books? A small smile formed on her face as she stepped over to that section and began browsing. MARGUERITE LUTESSA RAWLINS

Tess had just finished replacing a few returned books that she had let some students borrow for the week when she noticed a peculiar girl entering the store. The brown hair and bright eyes were striking, Tess noticed. She smiled and approached the girl after a few moments of letting her browse, "Hello there! I haven't seen you here before." she approached the girl stood beside her, turning her face to admire the books as well, "this is my favorite section. Books my parents taught me to love. The muggle world really does have some amazing authors, I promise." Tess pulled down a book by one of her favorites, E.E. Cummings and flipped through the pages. She wanted her new guest to feel entirely at home here.
That's what The Missing Page was created for. Books, a second home, a sanctuary or whatever else her guests happened to need at the time. She had seen many a troubled student pass through looking for guidance and Tess gave them whatever she could. Be it books, or whatever.

Silvia turned when she heard the voice behind her. She gave a small smile to the girl, her arms still folded behind her back. "Hello," she said. "You are quite right, ma'am. I have never been in this store before, which is quite strange to me as it very much suits my taste. You have a very lovely and unusual selection of books here. I feel I shall purchasing quite a few from you today."Silvia nodded about the books in Muggle section as the woman spoke. "I quite agree that they are fascinating books," she said. "My mum is a Muggle. She read me a number of Muggle books when I was a child and we still have quite a few about our home." Silvia didn't mention her mother was also a werewolf, but it wasn't out of shame. Silvia just felt it was irrelevant to the conversation. "I very much enjoy T.S Eliot, as well as Edgar Allan Poe. Many find Poe a bit dark, but I tend to believe most writers have a dark side to their imagination. Many are just afraid to accept it."
She then realized something. "I must beg your pardon as I have entered your shop and have failed to introduce myself, a considerable breach of good manners on my part," she said with her always calm, sweet voice. "My name is Silvia Moonberry."MARGUERITE LUTESSA RAWLINS

Tess smiled as the girl spoke. She carried such eloquence in her words that Tess immediately knew Tess would like her even more as time went on. "Feel free to purchase whatever you wish, you could even borrow some and bring it back at another date," Tess smiled, "Although, I'm very serious about due dates." She was sure the girl would understand, especially with the school being such a crazy and exciting place. It would be quite easy for a student to forget about a book they had borrowed from a tiny shop in Hogsmede. Tess did send reminder owls, however.
Tess leaned back and folded her arms as the girl explained her favorite muggle authors, "well, that's lovely! Both of my parents are muggles, not a single wizarding book to be found in their home." Tess smiled even more when the girl explained her emotions behind her love for Poe, "I enjoy Poe, as long as I'm not looking for a pick me up."
Tess chuckled, a sweet quite chuckle, as the girl apologized for not introducing herself. Most people didn't, especially not students, but Tess didn't mind. "Please, don't let it trouble you. That's a lovely name, Silvia. I'm Miss Rawlins, but you may call me Tess if you'd like."

Silvia nodded about the due dates. "I understand that, and I also believe in the importance of them and the inconvenience it must cause when one doesn't respect them," she said. "But I plan to purchase my books today. I always set aside part of my allowance for books and feel it is money well saved and spent."Silvia nodded in agreement about only reading Poe when one wasn't looking for a pick me up. "I enjoy more upbeat stories as well, but I feel that reading should apply to a number of emotions," she said. "It's a good balance. One should not allow a single emotion to over-indulge."Silvia smiled when the woman complimented her name. "Thank you," she said. "And Tess is a lovely name as well, but I noticed the name Marguerite on one of the signs and if you don't mind me saying so, it is far lovelier." Silvia was kind, but she was honest and well and spoke her mind on most things. MARGUERITE LUTESSA RAWLINS

Tess replaced the E.E. Cumming books before speaking again, "I think it is a noble thing to spend your allowance on. Many kids your age would be spending their money on joke toys and other absurd things," Tess laughed, "Although, a good joke every now and then is important, isn't it?" She listened again as Silvia talked about the emotions vary between books. "Of course, reading is a great way to experience emotions you may not even feel in life very often. That's one of my favorite things about muggle fiction. They are so enthralled with magic and science that they create such fantastical stories."
She recalled her favorite book series as a child, The Chronicles of Narnia and began casually perusing the shelves for said books.
Tess laughed as the girl complimented her first given name, "Yes, I try to use Marguerite as a more... professional and deeply personal title. It's just a little too... exciting for me." Tess admired the girls honesty. "Although, you may use it if you like, I don't mind," She added.

Silvia smiled at the compliment about what she chose to spend her money on. "Well, I also do like to buy taffy when I can," she said. She then showed her bag from Honeydukes. "You're welcomed to have some as well if you wish." Silvia was always sharing. Often, she would buy six or seven pieces of taffy and only have one for herself because he offered the rest to various people. Silvia was friendly to begin with, but she liked this woman and how she thought about things. Silvia knew this would be a favorite place to visit. "I find how Muggles view magic to be quite fascinating myself," said Silvia. "I think because their world doesn't have things ours does, they appreciate more in a sense, and use it to entertain others. Science has always fascinated me as well. My father is an inventor. Granted he uses magic for his inventions, but I feel there is a certain level of science involved there as well."Silvia was glad to hear she could use the woman's full first name. It was pleasant to say. "Thank you, Marguerite," she said. She then looked at what the woman was searching for. "The Chronicles of Narnia? The title sounds interesting, and you seemed quite eager to find them to show me. Perhaps I should purchase a few of them."MARGUERITE LUTESSA RAWLINS

Tess smiled at the bag of sweets but shook her head, "No, thank you. I do enjoy taffy now and then but my sweet tooth is not agreeing with me today." Finally Tess mouth a box set of the chronicles of Narnia, all snug to the left hand side of the bookcase. She pulled it down and offered it to Silvia, "Well, it's a lovely little series. You can choose the box set or get them individually over here," she pointed to where she had found them, "a few of them don't necessarily go in order, but you can read them that way if you wish."
Tess nodded, interested, as the girl mentioned her father. "I have to admit, that is pretty impressive. What kinds of things does he invent?" Tess asked, trying to imagine what sort of things Wizards would invent. She knew all about muggle inventions of course, considering that's the only way muggles survived without magic. They would be extremely primitive without it. She often laughed at what her world would've been like without magic. Magic was much more convenient, yes. But she wouldn't have minded. She was happy to have it though, anyway.

Silvia didn't quite understand what Marguerite meant by them not quite going in order. She had never really read a book series where the chronology didn't mesh with the order they were written like the Narnia books. "I must beg your pardon again, but I'm not sure what you mean about them not being in order," she said. "I am intrigued as well of course."Silvia wanted to look proud when the woman asked about her father's work, but as much as she loved her father and her work, it was hard for Silvia to look prideful as she felt it could easily come off as looking boastful. "Several things," said Silvia. "Some are even sold in stores. I'm not boasting about that, just stating a fact." She then named a few of the things her father had invented, trying not to go overboard. She then looked over the books, reading the description of the first book on the back. "I find it interesting that the witch in this story is an evil one, but she is called a White Witch instead of a Dark Witch. Then again, most Muggles do not use the term Dark Witch that often."MARGUERITE LUTESSA RAWLINS

Tess laughed, "It confuses everyone. The third and I think the sixth book aren't in chronological order with the others. They kind of happen simultaneously to other parts. Does that make sense?" Tess was sure it was a little bit confusing, but this girl seemed pretty competent. She could probably appreciate the strange way Lewis wrote things. "The author has a way of making each book able to stand on it's own. Making each book give their own impression on the reader and takes hold a special place in your heart. In mine, at least." she added.
Tess nodded, "those things do sound very familiar, that's impressive! You have every right to be proud, but that's kind of you not to boast."
"I don't think it really refers to her in light and darkness, more because she lives in an iceland and wears white most of the time. Being called white is deceiving and she uses that to her advantage." Tess's face quickly turned into a frown, what Silvia had said about muggles not knowing Dark Witches... that was too real. Muggles didn't even have a clue how dark the dark witches could actually be. Dark wasn't the lack of light anymore, it was a name.

Silvia was intrigued by this strange book series and how it worked against chronology. She liked the way Marguerite described it. "Very well," she said. "I believe I shall purchase it. Thank you for the information, Marguerite."Silvia smiled when the woman complimented her father's work. "Perhaps I can bring him to meet you when he comes to visit," she said. "He comes quite often, along with my mum. Our family's very close. I think we became close early on because of the fact that my mum's a werewolf. It is tough at times, but we work through it and when mum is mum she is quite normal." Silvia said all this not as if she was revealing shocking news, but as if it was all normal conversation, which to Silvia it was. Silvia found the White Witch concept interesting as well, and it only confirmed her decision to buy the books. "That makes her very complex, and I like that in a fictional villain," she said. "It makes you think of them with a variety of emotions, not just general disdain." Silvia sort of saw her aunt like that. MARGUERITE LUTESSA RAWLINS

Tess smiled as Silvia mentioned her interest in the series and nodded when Silvia continued to discuss the White Witch. "She is complex, and her back story is actually very unique I-," she stopped herself for a moment and cleared her throat, not wanting to give too much away. "I hope you let me know what you think of it when you're finished, the next time you're able to stop by." Tess reverently, as if she had just remembered she had left a baby sleeping. It wasn't a baby though, it was the books. Tess took a step away from the books as if to give them some space to breathe when Silvia explained the family situation.
"That's lovely, that they come and visit you! My family, sadly, wasn't drawn closer by a werewolf bite, but grew farther apart," she kept a pleasant smile on her face, even though the comment wasn't a pleasing one. Her parents fear overcame their love at times when it came to Tess being a wolf as they made sure she was locked up during the summers, even though Tess took her wolfs-bane potion. They didn't want her wolf to show. Whatever that meant. Tess shrugged, "fear can overcome love, sometimes, I think. We see that in this world a lot. My family is just another example of many." She said.

Silvia understand what Marguerite was doing, and she respected that. Silvia didn't get annoyed by very much, but she was disappointed when someone gave stuff away in a book she was reading at the time. "I will be quite happy to discuss it with you," she said. "It is nice to be able to discuss books with someone, and you seem very nice."
When Marguerite pretty much revealed she was a werewolf, Silvia gave a small sniff. She was half-werewolf and while she didn't turn, she could hear and smell a bit better than non-werewolves. She picked up the scent she had smelled on her mother as well. She saw that her story had reminded her new friend of something tragic. She stepped over and took the woman's hand. "Love can also overcome fear, or rather the hate that is born from fear," she said. "If you need someone, I would be glad to offer my friendship."MARGUERITE LUTESSA RAWLINS

Tess almost blushed, this girl was so kind. Odd, but kind, and kindness was far more important to Tess than almost anything else. "I look forward to seeing you after you have finished!" Tess exclaimed happily. "And you are very nice as well, I'm sure you make a lot of wonderful friends up at the school," Tess guessed. After all, who wouldn't want to be this girls friend? Although, Tess was kind too and friends were few and far between for her during school.
Tess wasn't surprised that the girl had made an inquisitive sniff to her after the mention of a wolf in her family. Silvia was half wolf, and probably had the same heightened senses that Tess had. Maybe not as strong, but Tess didn't know. She was shocked, however, when she stepped closer and took Tess's hand. "Love can also overcome fear, or rather the hate that is born from fear," she said. "If you need someone, I would be glad to offer my friendship."
Tess smiled gently and placed her free hand on top of Silvias, creating a sort of hand sandwich. "That's very kind of you, Silvia..." Tess commented, "I would be glad to accept your offer of friendship. It's a hard world out there, for a wolf." It was true. So many mobs, human and wizard alike, had been formed to drive known werewolves out of towns and villages. Not as often as in the old days, but more often than Tess liked to hear about.

Silvia shook her head just a bit when Marguerite assumed she made a lot of friends. "Not a great deal," she said. "Many find I am a bit unusual, and they tend to avoid me because of that. It doesn't bother me though. Their misunderstanding is probably a product of their upbringing. I do have some lovely mates though, and am grateful for it."
Silvia smiled when Marguerite took her hand in return and accepted her friendship. "I am quite honored to be your friend, Marguerite," she said. "I think my mum would like you too. Not because you are a werewolf as well, but you remind me a bit of her. Perhaps you can come to our home this summer for tea."Once Silvia let go of her hand, she took out a bag of galleons and handed her the cost of the books, finding it rude to just place the money on the counter. "I would like to stay here and talk a bit, but I wanted to go ahead and pay for the books, in case we are caught up in conversation and I forget. That would be considerably embarrassing."MARGUERITE LUTESSA RAWLINS
