Celeste was once again out at the Pitch with her large black and white Great Horned owl, Isis. The bird was perched on her shoulder and Cel was staring dreamily at the goals and dreaming of soaring through the air, in full garb, quaffle in hand. She missed the game, she missed the rush. She had brought her grades up as her father demanded, but it was too little, too late. She was in her closing year and she had little time now. Celeste could be defeatist and felt that she had missed her shot to go out with a bang. It was fine, she could still find a team to take her on rookie wise and work her way into the big leagues. Isis nipped her ear and she glowered at the bird. "Ow you git, what was that one for?!" Isis screeched in her ear and took off, hovering by the middle goal. "Oh, you want to play. Fine." With that Celeste nabbed her broom that had been leaning against her side, mounted and kicked off. Isis shrieked with joy and they began their diving, spiraling dance. Celeste caught the bird and then released her, repeating the game. It was how the pair kept sharp and how Celeste has learned how to spiral, dive and come up just before she would hit the grass. One of the times Isis made a wild dive to shoot under her broom and Celeste decided to take a risk and flipped, gripping the broom with her knees to nab the bird as she shot under her. She succeeded and released her. For a moment she hung there, suspended before attempting to right herself. It took an embarrassingly long time, but finally she got it and mounted the broom again, correctly this time. Isis was eying her, amber eyes a light. "Shut up. I don't need your mocking looks." Isis screamed and took off again with the blonde hot on her tail, brown eyes bright. This was when Celeste was happiest and didn't even see someone walk onto the Pitch far below her as she and Isis continued their mid flight acrobatics. The day was young, at least by Daenerys's standards, and it was a beautiful one. The sun was shining bright with a small breeze that carried a light chill to offset the heat of the day. Feeling slightly groggy Daenerys couldn't ignore the calling of the day. A few days had passed since the full moon and even though Daenerys swallowed the awful wolfsbane potion however, she still felt the effects that were similar to that after a transformation. Her body ached, her eyes had slightly darker shadows under them, and she was exhausted. As beaten up as Daenerys felt she never allowed herself to appear as such. Makeup covered the dark shadows under her eyes, her hair was in light curls, and her clothes were neat. She knew appearances had a great effect on how a person saw someone. She did not want anyone viewing her as weak so she hid her problems just as she had always done.
Daenerys exited the Hogwarts castle and instantly felt the sun's rays on her face. She smiled lightly, basking a bit in the sun. The grounds seemed filled with the majority of the people from the school outside. Everyone wanted to take advantage of the beginning of the nice weather which actually soured Daenerys's mood. She realized that there was hardly anywhere she could go outside to find solitude or one of her selective friends. She noticed that no one was flying by the quidditch pitch and hoped that no one was in the stands. Perhaps there she could enjoy the day for herself.
Walking in the direction of the quidditch pitch she intentionally avoided all others. She really didn't need to have another excuse to further her pissy mood. As she approached the pitch her eye was caught by flying object and noticed it was a person on a broom. "Damn it." She mumbled to herself. She almost turned around to attempt to find another place before noticing that an owl was flying around with the person on the broom. It seemed they were involved in a game of tag which Daenerys knew could only be one of her truest friends Celeste. Celeste had been a friend of Daenerys almost since day one, if they both hadn't been so stubborn and closed off. However, it only took a few weeks into their first year before they found their similar traits pleasing. Over the years, Celeste was one of the few that knew a lot about Daenerys's history and past. She had been there through the rough times and more importantly the partying. The two had been in trouble together and did the punishment together. Few people saw Daenerys's emotional side but Celeste had seen it all. She felt a bit relieved knowing that her best friend was flying above her because it meant she wouldn't have to find another place to go or bully a person out of their place for Daenerys didn't have the energy for that today. Better yet, Daenerys would have some company on this nice day. "Cel!....Celeste!...Celeste Karine Nichols!!" Daenerys attempted to yell at her to no avail. Catching her attention would not work this way so Daenerys pulled out her wand and shot sparks into the air to gain her attention this way. words: 550 tagged: Celeste Karine Nichols notes: Hope this is good enough

Celeste had just caught Isis again, doing a spiraling dive, right into the sparks. "ACKT!" She swerved, now hearing D's voice. "Eeep!" Suddenly she was hitting the ground on her back and skidding, Isis tucked to her chest. Cel's eyes snapped open and looked down at her precious companion. "You good, devil bird?" She joked and Isis, flustered and fluffed out, screeched an affirmative. "Good to know." Celeste stood and Isis perched on her shoulder. "Before you even ask, I'm fine." Her smile was gentle and something played in her eyes for a moment as she walked toward Daenerys. "I just saw you a little late and didn't want to hit you."
Celeste's brown eyes roved over her best friend and her heart kicked into high gear like it always did around the stunning young woman. Stop it! Stop it! The look passed her face as she yelled at herself in her own head and wiped it off her face as quickly as it had appeared. Usually Celeste could contain herself around Daenerys, but it was becoming more and more difficult as time went on. She had developed quite the crush on her and D was supposed to be her best friend! She wasn't supposed to fall for her. Too little, too late. She gave Daenerys a soft smile and motioned for her to follow her over to the bleachers.
"You okay?" She almost could feel the pain wafting away from her friend in waves. She was used to her friends fatigue on the days after the full moon and she did what she could for the person, the only person, she had ever let in, well, past her ex. Cel shook her head to clear it and sighed. "Rough couple of nights, love?" Cel had called her that for a while, so it wouldn't be telling anything. 'I should tell her though.... The thought flitted across her mind and she looked to Isis who was watching her knowingly and Cel gave the bird a warning look that clearly stated that she'd get there. Isis' response was to peck her human in the head, screech at her and take wing into the forest. "OW! ISIS YOU BLOODY LITTLE SHIT!" She yelped as the bird took off and swore she was proud of herself. "Sorry." Cel mumbled and kept walking. "She's been little miss cause me pain today." With that she mounted the steps and sat in their houses' section and patted the seat next to her. "You look like you could kill someone. Need help?" It was a genuine question as Celeste ran a fine line between neutral and downright evil.
Daenerys was always the exception though as she didn't judge Celeste in the least and it pleased her and warmed her heart. She wanted to do what she could for her, even if it was kicking people out of the commons so that she could just cool down for a day and not have everyone laughing around her. Cel fought the urge to pull Daenerys to her once she did deign to sit and hold her like a lover would. That would not do, not yet. She was scared that her best friend would become freaked out over it and that she'd ruin the friendship. Celeste was trying to decide what was better, to have her as a friend or not at all and she suddenly knew the answer and steeled her will to wait a little longer and ignored the voice in the back of her head that if she waited too long, she might lose the woman she had come to love.

Daenerys hadn't thought things through when she cast the sparks into the air. Cel had flew right into the bright specs causing her to have a rather rough landed on her back. "Shit." Daenerys said feeling bad for causing her friend possible harm. Had it been someone she disliked or even hated Daenerys would have found enjoyment in the incident because it was Celeste she felt badly. She watched as C checked over her owl, which seemed fine, and Daenerys knew that Cel was fine as well. "That was my fault, I should have thought before sending those sparks up in the air. I just wanted to get your attention. You know how hard that can be when you are up in the air." Daenerys said, a light laugh escaping her mouth. "I'm glad you are okay, you are okay aren't you?" Daenerys asked. She wanted to hear it from her directly so Daenerys could relax a bit. It would be just like Celeste to be concerned with her over herself. "I'm fine, I look fabulous as always, making everyone drool." Daenerys said. Even though she felt exhausted she would never show it. "My life is one rough night after another. Somtimes due to my own actions. The partying life is starting to catch up to me." Shrugging lightly, Daenerys wouldn't be stopping anytime soon. Liquor put the demons at bay for a while.
Laughter, pure laughter, was something Daenerys didn't experience that often but with Cel it always came easy. Daenerys couldn't help to laugh at Celeste and Isis. They were always an amusing pair. "You better watch it, she might just come back and claw your eye out. That owl has a lot of attitude but considering who her owner is that isn't much of a surprise." Daenerys smirked throwing a playful dig at Cel. Actually it was more of a compliment because they both respected the other for their similar qualities, one being a severe attitude. Celeste was back at worrying about her again. Sometimes she wanted to smack Cel for that. "Do I really look that busted?" Daenerys asked. She waved her hand at her. "I'm fine, I'm always fine." Her tone becoming a little dark. She didn't want to be seen as helpless in anyone's eye especially Cel's. They were best friends but deep down Daenerys knew she had more feelings for her than just friendship. She constantly pushed them away because she just didn't want to go down that road. After her relationship with Jay had ended she didn't trust anyone else to have her heart. She closed it off from true love a while ago. Having genuine friendships was hard enough for Daenerys to manage, she rather remain alone in the romantic area.
Daenerys made her way up the start and sat next to Cel. Her heart slightly picked up a beat but she ignored it. "So what do you want to do today? It is a nice but everyone is out on the grounds. Hardly a time for privacy." She felt the word privacy was probably the wrong choice but she figured Cel wouldn't pick up on it. Why would she when Daenerys was sure it didn't hold the possible same meaning for her as it held for Daenerys.

Cel looked to her best friend. "No, it's not your fault, I was being oblivious, I'm fine, no harm, no foul." With that she chuckled "Yes, I'm fine." She loved that about Daenerys, the fact she actually gave a shit about her. She should tell her. What if she lost her? Shit. Celeste snapped back to reality to Daenerys talking. "Shit, I'm sorry, I'll stop asking." She caught the dark tone in her voice and backed off. "No, you don't, but I know you after your shift." She gave her a soft look and leaned back against the bleachers. "I know, all of it, remember?" Cel's voice was soft though and she watched her bestie with warm eyes and didn't even notice the affection lingering there for Daenerys to see. "Pffft, that bird would eat my first born and still shit on me, she's an asshole, but I love her." A laugh escaped Cel as Daenerys laughed. It was a beautiful noise to Celeste and her brown eyes danced. She was glad to could make D happy, it meant so much to her. Daenerys was the only person to see the soft side of Celeste, she didn't trust anyone else enough for that. Everyone thought Cel was a complete ice queen and cared for no one, and Daenerys was almost the same, until they were in the same room. Celeste wanted to ask her to the Sweetheart's Ball, but again she was too scared and the fear and anxiety registered on her face for a second before she caught it and shoved it back down again. She really needed to stop doing that. "Sorry, a lot on my mind." Cel muttered. Cel thought about Daenerys' next words and tilted her head. "We could go and bum around Hogsmeade, or I don't know, go torture some first years by the Dungeons?" Cel usually got a kick out of scaring the hell out of the first years but would rather do that with Daenerys than anyone else. "Personally some Chocolate or something sounds good to me and maybe dinner at the Broomsticks?" She did her best to try and not make it sound like a date no matter how badly she wanted it to be. "Basically anything to make you smile works for me." She winked at Daenerys in a joking way and looked to the sky, her blonde hair cascading about her shoulders. "Well if you want to take the blame for it be my guest." Daenerys said poking Cel with her finger. Daenerys was glad that Celeste had no hard feelings toward her for the accident. But even more she was happy that Cel really was unharmed in the whole ordeal. She shook her head lightly at Cel. "Its okay, I don't mind that you ask but just give me a chance to answer before you ask again." Daenerys said with a chuckle. She knew Cel always cared about how she felt about a full moon and she liked that. Hardly anyone ever cared to ask such things. "You mean lack of a shift. I never get to shift when I'm at Hogwarts." She stated. She hated the rule but also understood it. Daenerys was like her father in many ways except the fact of changing children into werewolves. "I know you've been there through it all Cel, but you should know by now I'm always fine and I'm use to it." She smiled at her friend to show she wasn't mad.
The comment only made Daenerys laugh harder. "That is so true. You better keep her in a cage if you ever have a baby." Isis had been around for a while and Daenerys had come to like the owl as well. She was a feisty little thing just like both of them. It made her contemplate the idea of getting a pet of her own but not right now, perhaps when she graduated and had her own place. "Cel, do you have any idea what you are going to do once we graduate?" She asked, taking a more serious tone. Daenerys was rather lost but she only had a few more months to figure it out. With her father locked up and her only eldest brother on her shit list for locking up their father she really had no where to turn. Maybe Celeste and her would get a place of their own.
Looking at her friend a bit oddly she wondered what was going on with Cel to have her acting in a strange manner. "Whats on your mind, you know you can tell me, if you want to." Daenerys inquired, concern on her face. "That all sounds promising but my energy is lacking seriously today to be bothered with first years. Perhaps in a few more days we can do that. "Actually that sounds more my speed today." She smiled at Cel. Her heart skipped a beat again when Cel mentioned she just wanted to make her smile. "Mission accomplished." She laughed lightly.

Celeste smiled at her best friend and nodded, for both statements. "I'll keep that in mind." She squealed when she was poked with a finger and eyed Daenerys, her side tingling a little. If she continued that Celeste would drop over laughing and Cel knew that she knew it. "Hey hey! Easy with that finger, you know how ticklish I am!" That Cel had forgotten. "Shit, I'd forgotten that. That has got to suck." Again Daenerys was watched skeptically for a second and then she relented. "If you say so, miss." She knew Daenerys would be just fine, but it still worried her. A slight sigh and she was leaned back against the bleachers again. "Me? A kid? Seriously? Nah, I would not make a good mom." She knew it and she knew she didn't want kids as they'd hamper her dreams and her achieving them. Celeste looked to Daenerys and blinked. "Well, I'm going to try and get on one of the Professional Quidditch teams and get my own place. I have enough money in my fund for a new house, Mum and dad saw to that. They might have ignored the snot of out of me, but they sure as hell do not let me go unfunded."
She looked to Daenerys and grinned. "I was hoping that you would maybe come live with me, you know, we could find a cozy place and settle in!" She had wanted that for a while now and when Daenerys wanted to know what was on her mind she blushed furiously and then cursed under her breath. "I can't, you'd...you'd walk away from me. Or I'm scared you will." It was out of her mouth before she could stop herself and she let her hair hide her face and then perked up a bit at the idea of Hogsmeade. "Sounds like a good plan to me." She was still a bit pink and didn't move to go right away, enjoying the alone time with her best friend. The idea of torturing first years in a few days with her was something to look forward to indeed. "Sounds like fun, In a few days you'll be back to normal and we can raise hell all over again. It's worth whatever happens every damned time." She snickered and gave a sideways glance to Daenerys and sighed a little. "I'll tell you what's up eventually, it's nothing bad, I just...don't know how to say it." Her voice trailed off and she looked skyward and then back to the Raven haired beauty beside her and smiled affectionately. "Promise." She stood and stretched. "Let's go get some Chocolate and Butter beer and food, yeah?" She extended her hand to Daenerys and refrained from tugging her into her arms and kissing her.

Daenerys was thankful that her friend took what she said to heart. Most people viewed her werewolf blood as a problem however she didn't view it with disdain. Daenerys had pride in who she was and who her family was; minus the ones who didn't uphold the family values. "Thank you." Daenerys was half tempted to keep tickling her if not just to make her laugh but to have some physical contact. She refrained herself from going further just to not complicate the issue going on inside her head and heart. She wasn't the relationship type, not since Jay really, she swore she would never go down that road again. Daenerys was more of a sexual creature that needed attention when she wanted it and that could ruin their friendship because Daenerys would not be able to give Cel what she might want if Daenerys ever talked about her feelings for Cel. "Its fine, its not like you need to remember everything about me." She stated. "But it does suck. Even though I can't fully remember my actions a part of me misses running free." Daenerys said, her voice almost wispy. "I don't know, I can't explain it." She added shaking her head lightly.
"I don't think either of us is suited for children." Daenerys said. She actually hadn't given it much thought over the years. Having a family was never something that crossed her mind. Possibly it would become necessary later on in life to pass the genes on because her father would want her to but other than that a family life hasn't never been anything Daenerys saw in her future. "Do you have an idea of what team you would like to go for or are you just going to take whatever team will take you? Although I think you are a great flyer and player so you'll probably end up having a lot of choices." She said smiling. Flying was not something Daenerys liked to do, she preferred the ground. Maybe it was the werewolf inside her that preferred the ground but whenever she was in the air she felt nervous.
Daenerys instantly beamed when Cel asked her to move in after graduation. "Cel, I would love to!" She couldn't be happier that she would be tackling the world with her best friend as they both try to achieve their goals...although Daenerys didn't have any goals. "Thank you. I've been so unsure with what I was going to do since my father has been locked up. Honestly, I've been rather lost since I've gotten the news." Daenerys leaned over and hugged her best friend, giving a swift kiss on the cheek. "I don't know where I'd be without you, bitch." The word was not meant as an insult but held an endearing meaning.
"Whenever you are ready just tell me, I'm sure there is nothing you can say to make me run." Daenerys said. Her curiosity was hooked but she respected that Cel didn't want to talk about it right now. She knew that eventually that Cel would fill her in. "Sounds good. I'm def up for a relaxing night." Daenerys said as she grabbed Cel's out stretched hand.

Celeste gave Daenerys a warm, caring smile. “Anytime you need me, just call.” She meant it and she wanted nothing more than to take her hand and twine D's fingers with hers and show her how much she was falling for her. She couldn't though, the irrational fear crawled up her spine and squashed anything romantic. Little did Celeste know her friend was going through the same processes. If she had, she might have spoken on what her heart was screaming and what Isis had ruthlessly pecked her for. Daenerys' words brought her back and she snorted. “What kind of bestie would I be if I didn't, D?” She was serious and the look was all over her face. “I'd be a sad excuse is what I'd be. Yeah?” Celeste was damned sure she'd get something to let her know she wasn't evil, but hell, she felt it for forgetting something so important in her friend's life.
Huh, no, Cel thought she got it. “Well, you don't view it as a curse, so of course it's a thing to miss for you.” She gave Daenerys a soft, affectionate smile and gently touched her arm absently and then stopped when she realized what she was doing, but funny enough, she didn't apologize because she wasn't sorry for the touch. “Hell, if I could lose this shape and just, run, wild and free, even fly without a broom and I wasn't able to suddenly, I'd miss it.” She let her voice trail and looked to Daenerys and gave a sheepish grin. “I know I shouldn't feel silly for that.” Her voice was low and soft like velvet and she let her brown eyes meet D's and she blinked, trying not to blush.
She just managed it. The idea of children wiped the gentle look off of her face and made her scrunch up her nose. “Nope, noisy, smelly things, children. Isis is as close as I will ever get.” She knew it to be true and knew kids weren't her thing and was glad to here Daenerys felt the same. That would make things so much less complicated. Hmmm, another topic switch and a good one for Celeste. “Not sure, Maybe the Harpies. Who knows.” She knew the Harpies might be a good bet for her and she planned to try and get in with them. She flushed bright pink when she was praised. “Thanks Daenerys. That means so much.” Her voice was gentle and held a touch of embarrassment, but not the bad type. She lifted her brown eyes to her friend again and grinned like a fool when she agreed to come live with her.
“Hell yes!” She hugged D and then grinned again before watching Daenerys with more care and worry, but it was brief. “C'mon, you had to know you could lean on me. I'm always going to be there, we're always going to be best bitches. Always! Nothing and no one will change that!” She chuckled and tipped her head back, laughing now. “Floundering, you need me.” She joked and looked back to D with a fondness in her eyes. “All joking aside, I don't know where I'd be without you, too. Keep that in mind.” She snaked her arm around her friend's shoulders and gave her a companionable squeeze. “I'll always be here for you.” She meant it and stood.
Once D took her hand she fought the urge to pull her in and kiss her and managed it. She even managed to keep the look off of her face, points to the good. She blushed bright pink though at her friend's next words and looked toward her feet. “I feel like such a shit not telling you, but...I'm scared.” She looked back up into Daenerys' face and let her emotions show for once. “I swear it'll come out of my mouth sooner or later.” Her voice was barely above a whisper with her heart in her throat and unbeknownst to her, in her eyes. Although once she stated they could go anytime, Cel smiled and headed down the bleachers, her back now to the other girl. “Let's go then, the food sounds like an amazing idea.” Her light chuckle carried on the air and she whistled for Isis who came winging toward her and landed on her shoulder, nuzzling Cel. “Good girl.”
