(The Hawthornes are hosting their annual Easter Gala, which in fact as little to do with Easter but more to do with music, fancy dresses, expensive foods and drinks, champagne, wine, or harder alcohol if that is your cup of tea. It's hosted in the Hawthorne Estate, meaning it includes and is not limited to the ballroom, the living area and the exterior. Chat, dance, eat, drink, do whatever your heart desires. Guest houses and extra rooms will be provided for those too drunk unable to apparate home or utilize the Floo network safely and properly. The only request is to have a ball and to spread the word about the party of the century.)

If Lyla were an outsider looking in, the gala the Hawthornes were hosting would look absolutely perfect. The ballroom was decorated with flowers charmed to glow (lights were too boring) and shimmery decor floated above. There was a band playing music on their violins, cellos and whatever the heck the rest of those instruments were. There were tables with pastel table clothes and comfortable seats arranged and long tables along the back wall with an endless buffet of expensive food and drinks. In the corner was a bar being worked by a house elf, who was currently serving a man a glass of brandy. The crowd chattered quietly, everything looking pristine and exquisite, but Lyla, who knew of what went on at these things was not so convinced that this would be a "fun" event.
Grandmother Adelaide was chatting with a few older people, probably bragging about her home and how expensive the decor was as an attempt to avoid the conversation steering to the eldest granddaughter's fall from fame. Her father and step mother stood in another part of the ballroom, speaking to a few other couple and laughing, either gloating about their beautiful twins or their ridiculous trips they had taken abroad without their children. Lyla stood near the bar, scoffing at the whole thing and practically moping about her mandatory attendance. "Give me something a bit stronger, please." she asked the house elf, who gladly filled her outstretched glass with some nameless. bitter drink. The elves liked her because of her manners and like her, hated these shallow parties.
The blonde took a sip of her drink, hiding the urge to make a face because of how strong it was. "Merlin, do you guys brew this stuff on your own?" she asked the elf, who simply smirked and nodded. She shook her head with a smile and walked away from the bar with her glass in her hand. Her sisters were her somewhere, but she'd rather not get piss drunk in front of them. She pondered about getting drunk and going out of her way to embarrass her grandmother, but she quickly decided against it because she knew for a fact that she would get thrown out and maybe disowned. She was already in hot water with her. So Lyla took a seat at an empty table covered in a pastel blue cover, gazing around at the pool of empty headed socialites that surrounded her both in the room and outdoors.

Post by MARCIA LYNN SAGEBRUSH on Aug 24, 2014 0:00:31 GMT -5
Marcia was not entirely up to going to the party, but Cain insisted that she needed to make some good connections while she was in Britain. While preparing for the party she put on her short emerald party dress and curled her hair. She hadn't been to a good party in quite some time, so she better make the best of the opportunity. Even if she was slightly furious with Cain for forcing her to come back to Britain with him in the first place. Apparently it was the best place to ensure her safety, whatever that meant. She could manage just fine on her own. But he insisted, practically begged her to come back with him. What choice did she have? She still had strong feelings for him, even if they were only friends. She trusted him. Marcia turned to face him as they entered the party, "I'm not going to know anyone, and if I do, they'll all know me as a teenager." she practically growled at him, "so why are you making me go in first?" she started to feel and sound more light-hearted towards the end of her sentence. She understood why. In the good old days, she was always the one heading into the party first. She was shy as well, back then, but not nearly as introverted as her boyfriend. When he was her boyfriend. He was a really great guy, back then, and still was now. She had fallen for him during school when he had opened up to her about things that he usually kept hidden. This happened because she showed him her support in a complicated situation. Marcia smiled at him as he explained himself, "I understand, Cain. I'm glad you brought me tonight. But," she stopped and took a step back, linking her arm through his. "I'm not going into a party looking like a loner!" She laughed. The situation was weird, yes, especially since John had very clearly moved on and fallen for someone else. But they were still friends, right? She had every right to remain close to him throughout the evening. He was the one that brought her with, after all. Soon after she had linked with his arm, they entered the ballroom. She released his arm just in time for Cain to apparate to a corner table all by himself. Marcia placed both hands on her hips and watched him as he started to write, shaking her head. Classic Cain, she thought, hiding out on his own and leaving me to fend for myself. At least that was how he treated her in a social setting. Clearly not in a fight setting, considering the fact that she was brought here so he could keep a close protective eye on her. Marcia smirked. So, Cain was going to watch her every move, was he? Well, she was going to make the best of her evening, and Cain would have to just see what he saw. She straightened her skirt and marched into the crowd. Outfit

Desi smirked proudly as her and Lydia stepped out of the sleek black car that she had driven to the party. Her two sisters were going to meet them later, but the Ravclaws of the Clarencieux household came together. Lydia wasn't too excited about the party, but Desi forced her to come along. She had forced Lydia into the tightest and shortest dress she could find and still convince Lydia to walk out the door. If she had done anything even a little shorter and a little more revealing, Lydia would never have agreed to come. Not that she had much choice in the matter. Desi also grabbed her most absurd and tall high heels for Lydia to wear, and the girl looked just darling in them. Desi linked her arm through her dear little sisters and tossed the keys to the valet, "Not a scratch, sugar." She winked at the man and began pulling her sister along. "Oh stop being so shy Liddy," Desi chided, "it's just a party. You act as if you've never been to one before!" Desi laughed. Of course the girls had been to numerous parties with the family, and even a few parties at the Hawthorne residence, but Lydia probably wouldn't know the meaning of the word party unless it was spelled out to her slowly. Desi chuckled internally, for being a Ravenclaw, the girl was incredibly oblivious, or at least Desi thought. She was sure her sweet kid sister knew about Desiraes side business as Arachne, but she also knew that if she said a word to anyone that she would wake up with spider bites under her fingernails. Those bites were one of the worst. Desi remembered the good old days, torturing her little sister and her dear cousin say a long with the rest of The Triplet. She found herself pouting at the thought of her two sisters, when were they going to arrive? They could have so much fun at a party like this. She looked down at her little sis once more and smiled, "Don't you just love our matching necklaces sis? Little Gold images of our favorite friends."LYDIA PAIGE CLARENCIEUXOutfit

It wasn't like she hadn't been to parties before. Lydia Clarenieux had been to a dozen or so in her time. They were all the same, with the fancy atmosphere and the crowds of rich people. The young Raven didn't care for them much, but the party itself wasn't what made her skin itch and her face stay in a frown. Her sister Desirae decided to force her into a dress that was not her style, along with heels that would surely make her stumble the whole night. Stepping out of the car with her sister, Lydia pulled at the dress, desperately trying to make it longer or cover more of her skin. The urge to pull from her sister came quickly when she felt Desi's arm slip through hers, but she stayed, knowing it would only cause a scene with her sister.
As they walked into the Hawthorne's Easter Gala, her sister's words hit her ears followed by that horrifying laugh of hers. It always gave Lydia chills, knowing that something terrible was probably brewing within that pretty head of hers. Her brown eyes met her sister, but no words escaped as she frowned at the older girl. She was not happy. Not for being there and definitely not with what she was wearing. Sighing, she only allowed her eyes to look forward again and continue walking with her sister, trying as best as she could not to trip in the ridiculous shoes she was wearing.
Once inside, her eyes immediately searched for her cousin Sae. Surely she would be there too. If not, Lydia wasn't sure how she would survive the night. The eyes that landed on her while they stood in the party made her blush, bringing the feeling of wanting to curl up in a ball flooding into her stomach. How embarrassing it was to be wearing that dress. Wondering if she'd be able to flood her mind with the world she used to escape, she almost missed her sisters words. Almost. But she didn't. She once again glanced in Desi's direction and forced a somewhat odd and nervous smile upon her lips. "They're... lovely." She told her sister, her soft voice barely audible over the noise of the crowd.

More people piled into the party through both wizarding and...was that a car outside? She saw the gleam of a rim and rapidly got out of her chair and scurried to the nearest window, where she briefly peeked through the curtains. Her lips curled when her eyes met the sight of the Clarencieux's exiting the vehicle. The younger one was not bad at all, but Desirae...She made Lyla want to vomit all over the light colored curtains. More importantly however, why on earth would they choose to arrive in a Muggle car? They were pureblood and wealthy...something most the people at the gala treasured above all. She snickered a bit, imagining what her grandmother would have to say about their choice of arrival. Lyla brought her glass to her lips and forced herself to down the rest of it, knowing that she would not survive the night sober.
Twenty minutes later, Lyla found herself with a half drunken smirk upon her face and her hand wrapped around her third glass of the so called house elf moonshine. "These people walk like they store their wands up their arses..." she snorted to herself in the corner next to the bar. She spotted Cain with a woman she recognized as a fellow Auror. "Merlin, maybe this party has some hope...Unless there's a trap door and a dungeon around here..." she laughed to herself once again, remembering her adventure at Vincent Veltrino's dirty charity ball. She refrained from going over to the pair only because she was...not exactly sober, and it looked like from her perspective, that they might be on a date. Who knew.
Perhaps Archer or Ilsa were lurking around here somewhere. Maybe not Ilsa...She was always so busy and Lyla wouldn't blame her if she didn't waster her time here. However Archer...he was never far away from a party with booze. Her ex-husband seemed like one of the best people to spend her time with, as opposed to dim witted, bleak senior citizens attempting to keep their social pride alive. "Maybe I'll lighten up to some...er...I'll go get champagne, thank you" she spoke to the house elf as she strutted off to the champagne table with a drunken sense of pride. She was borderline stumbling- the only thing that kept her from looking like she was a mess was her inherited Veela genes, but even then, that couldn't hide her facial expression nor mask the blur of words that were bound to fly out her mouth and get her into trouble tonight.

Ilsa walked into the party clad in a black dress and matching heels. She wasn't too crazy about looking super nice, but she wanted to for her best friend. When she arrived she was greeted by the sight of Lyla being intoxicated. She smirked and stepped over, placing an arm around Lyla. "You're drunk already?" she whispered. "Now I'll have to catch up." She kissed her friend on the cheek and looked at the others. Some were students it seemed and others she recognized from seeing them around the Ministry, but didn't know them well. She nodded and smiled to them. "Hello everyone. Ilsa Galant, nice to meet you." She then looked over at the bar and the lovely selection of spirits. "Excuse me." She looked at the House Elf. "Glass of Quintin Black, easy on the ice please." She then thanked the elf, as she was always polite to the House elves, as she was served the drink. She sipped it as she turned back to the conversation. LYLA ROSE HAWTHORNE

Post by FOXER ALABASTER ABNER on Aug 24, 2014 23:41:37 GMT -5
"Damn it Ruby, we are going to be late.." Granted mark that they were late.. He knew it wasn't matter of going to be late.. They were now officially 45 minutes late. Because Ruby nerves had gotten the best of her, which was certainly something as it was the first time that he had seen Ruby panic.. " We don't have to go.. " He said almost pleadingly to her hoping she would see reason and opt for another bout of the homebodies where they would amuse themselves with another round of wizards chess where he would let her beat him, so he could sneak off by himself to read... All those things that couples did at home their first year together.. Granted it had only been two weeks sense Ruby had moved in with him, but they were in the midst of their newly wed phase, will that is what it would be considered if Foxer had opted to tie the knot and propose marriage.. He didn't though so they were as many teased shacking up..
He stood there in the door way admiring Ruby's curvy figure in the form fitting sage green dress. Truly she was stunning as he knew she would be in that particular dress that seemed suited for her complexion and hair coloring.. He in his Tux looked nice too but he felt a bit like the ugly one of the bunch next to Ruby who had a knack of always seeming flawless and ethereal. His hand ran along his day old stubble chin and he winked at her.. " Should I even shave for this.. All eyes will be on you in that dress.. I will be just the guy in the background next to you.. " Her high pitched shrilly giggle caught his ear ringing annoyingly in his mind. Yes Ruby was a stunning vision to behold, but her laugh.. Clearly it would be something he would need to get used too.. " Well that is if Lyla doesn't release the dogs on me to start with.. " Honestly he didn't know why her parents still continued to send invitations granted he did care for their medical needs in case of emergencies but he figured he would have stopped receiving their kind inquiry cards by now..
"If she lights me on fire and off's me I wish my ashes to be deposited along the sea of tranquility.. along with Rex.. " He glanced to the dresser which Ruby had set up pictures of family and friends and sitting prime spot was Rex the ginger coated fox from his youth who had been a faithful friend till he passed that year when he had split way with Lyla and Archer..
He had a bad feeling about going tonight honestly with Lyla's outburst and hurtful words circling beneath the surface he doubted seeing her would leave him un-scathed after all it was in large part because of Lyla's behavior that had him chase Ruby the way he did.. It was the fear he felt in the thought of not being over Lyla that had him ask Ruby to move in with him.. Yes a weak thing to do but it was working in fooling him currently... However it didn't matter if he wanted to go or not because after a quick apperation he was there with Ruby on his arm he they strolled toward the bar.. Finding it to be as he assumed jammed pack with societies power houses he to his disdain ran into his uncle Archer's father and had to feign small talk as the man literally violated Ruby with his eyes. Mortified he was quick to tow Ruby in less predatory directions sadly the next turn put him the path of a blonde haired blue eyed vixen who was amusingly looking three sheets to the wind already..
Smirking he waltzed up Ruby's auburn brow shot up and he felt her hand tighten on his arm in alarm, naturally he paused and whispered in Ruby's ear.. " Best to get this bit of wickedness out of the way so we can enjoy our selves.. " His glance returned to Lyla and even as he tried he couldn't help the glance that combed over her body as he took inventory of the curves that he knew a bit too well.. Proper Party Lov..Glad to see that you have already started the celebrations early.. " Yes he basically called her drunk but he doubted if she would comprehend it in her current state.. Ruby you do remember Lyla from that charming press conference right.. " He fought the snort as his Ruby looked at Lyla and smiled softly and said in that velvet tone that she was known for.. 'I dare say I don't think I could forget.. Foxer.. Lyla thank your family for having US.. " It was just a simple change of pitch on a two letter word.. but it spoke volumes in girl talk.. Foxer figured it was best to end the pleasantries before wands were introduced into the conversation.. " Umm so is Archer about.. " He said flatly.. tagged: LYLA ROSE HAWTHORNE

Her light blue eyes scanned the room, determining where she would go to try to attempt to enjoy her night. If she was going to be stuck here and if she was drunk...she might as well try to have a good time. If you couldn't beat them, join them, right? As she was looking for a place to begin her rendezvous, she spotted a dark haired Saeren across the room and the young girl waved her way. Lyla smiled brightly (too brightly?) and waved back, happy she made it, but also pitying her a bit. She was a lovely soul from the few times she was able to speak to her, but the blonde could not stand her Aunt. She was almost as bad as her grandmother, and that was saying a lot.
She almost made her mind up to go rescue Saeren and lead her towards the secret elf slooge, when a familiar voice beamed from behind her. "Ilsa! I'm soooo glad you made it!" she slurred her words slightly and giggled at her words. "Well what do you expect, this party makes me want to crawl in a hold and die. I had to adapt." she nodded. Even when she was drunk, the Ravenclaw alumni managed to be witty in her words. "Yes, join me, the party is always more fun when you don't think all the way." she encouraged her best friend to join her. Now she was certain she would somehow manage to turn this sickeningly "proper" gala into a blast. "I'm going to roammm, I thought I saw Cain somewhere....I'll be back in a second." she nodded to her friend as they parted ways briefly- Isla to grab a drink and Lyla to try to see if she saw any more faces with some entertaining potential.
That's when she ran into him.
Lyla's bright, unusually easy going eyes instantly narrowed and her glare turned cold. Her eyes lingered on Foxer (who looks ever too gorgeous for her to willingly admit) but then darted to the red headed abomination he held at his side. She recognized her as the pesky reporter from the press conference and her immediate reaction was to stick her face into the fountain outside and then count to one thousand. "Hello Foxer...and... You...I didn't know Quibbler journalists were invited... What's your name again? Julia was the brunette and I know Penelope was the one with the blonde streak who had a fish allergy..." Lyla rambled on, attempting to make Foxer's current date irritated through jealousy. She didn't need to know that Lyla was making it all up though.
"Oh, you are so welcome my dear! Lovely dress. Sorry they didn't have your size, though. Better luck next time- going a size bigger next time won't hurt. It will hide the puff." she spat with a forced, sickly sweet smile as she pointed the redhead's stomach and winked. As she did that, she slowly brought the hand that was holding her champagne glass forward and "accidentally" spilled it on the front of Ruby's dress. "Oh, I'm so sorry, I'm obviously too drunk to even know what I'm doing. Silly me." the blonde forced out a giggle and wore a smug smile, and then set her empty champagne glass on the table beside her. There was no way in hell that she was okay with Foxer having a date. Let alone him bringing the date here. Not to mention it being a bloody reporter... "If you'd like, I can try to help you clean up in my room upstairs." she batted her eyelashes and moved her hair, attempting to tap into her Veela charm to drive Foxer nuts. Maybe she could drive him just as insane as he was making her. And hopefully Ilsa wouldn't be too disappointed in her...well....her plans for Miss Ruby. Or maybe Ilsa would help. Who knew- the night was only beginning.

Desi rolled her eyes at her sister as she barely spoke up,and kept that frown on her face. "My Goodness, Liddy. You wish you could just go hide in your rabbit hole, don't you?" Desi raised an eyebrow at her sister, and slipped her arm out from hers. There was no point being attached to a downer all evening. She glanced around the party, noticing several people she wanted to chat with to catch up and several people whom she had never met.
This was just her kind of function! She was getting bored with the every day Hogwarts students, especially since most had nothing to offer. Here, she could find plenty more victims who actually had substance, and maybe even somebody to snog, at least for a little while. She glanced across the room as she noticed Sae, her sweet cousin in black, approaching the two girls. Desi sighed, her Aunti Arietta was here as well. Desi did her best to lean against a nearby counter, looking as casual as possible.
As soon as the dear auntie and Sae reached them Desi smiled, "Saeren! You look absolutely ravishing," Desi leaned in and gave her cousin a kiss on either cheek. "And Auntie Arietta, what lovely hair you have," Desi prepared herself for the anger that was about to come out of their aunts mouth, and as it came she didn't even notice Lydie being pulled aside by Sae.

Post by ARCHER ORION ABNER on Aug 27, 2014 13:02:13 GMT -5
" Really Mrs. Greengrass, I had no idea that you followed quidditch that closely. "
Archer found that that he had drained the Smoke Bourbon as all that was left in the glass was smoke that billowed out and over his fingers. He sighed avoiding the glance of the older woman who had been for the last 3 hours had been trying to convenience him to call it an early night and retire with her to her home.. Granted he didn't doubt that in her day the Mother of Astoria and Daphne was a vision of all things beautiful but her day had ended at least forty years prior, at the very least.
Looking at the elf who was serving drinks he gave the swirl of the finger indicating that he wanted another round. He frowned to see that the elderly Mrs. Greengrass was still attempting to live out her cougar days. He attempted to look pas the fact she was fingering the trim of her plunging neckline attempting to draw his attention to her cleavage, which he didn't doubt was present only threw the miracle of Spell-o-tape and alot of prayer on the account of those who were charged with the the no doubt laborious chore of putting her into that dress.
Avoiding her glance he opted to use the line that normally got him out of position like the one he was in.. " ummm I got to use the loo.." he smirked and added pointedly in effort to annoy the woman.. " Talk to you later Mrs. Greengrass" and with her narrowed glance he left her there and opted to track down perhaps one of the few people in attendance that mattered.. He figured with the open bar present and Lyla's mood when he had told her that he had extended an invitation to Foxer. He figured with a few decent drinks Lyla would have finally loosened up to the fact that Foxer regardless of his annoying manners was still his family and if there was going to be anything between them they needed to clear the air. After all girlfriends were a dime a dozen family however was very different.
Well he had been right about the drinks she had certainly found her way to the Elf with the sauce. He watched as Foxer and his date had walked up, he knew he should have stopped Foxer and more importantly the unfortunate date of Foxer. But honestly what the hell was he to do? Normally he would cut off Foxer and ask his date for a dance while Foxer and Lyla have it out, however that wasn't going to happen because Foxer was a tough ol cuss and didn't believe in best man winning and apparently could keep a grudge like no ones business.. So Archer figured if he went in that direction there would be two fights instead of the one, and by default it was best to let Lyla hex the girl and be there to sweep up the ashes afterword.
Honestly he didn't know what the hell Foxer was thinking. He knew Lyla.. What the hell did was he thinking bring a date, muchless a date that was very attractive. It was as if he was looking for Lyla to cause a scene, and just like he thought Lyla acted out. He watched as Lyla poured the drink down the front of the redheads dress. He watched as Foxer grabbed his dates hand that clinched into a fist and pulled her behind him. It was good to see that even with his heart broke he hadn't lost his chivalry nature.
Walking up he eyed the spreading wet spot soak into the green fabric. He frowned and looked at Lyla.. " Lovely Lyla.." he said dryly looking at her and then Foxer.. " Sorry she is a bit inebriated you know how she is when she gets that way.."

Foxer knew better he cursed himself for letting Ruby go near Lyla. Still there was nothing to be done about it as where Lyla might be as inebriated as he could remember her being. he shouldn't be the least bit shocked that Lyla would behave like this, and yet still the moment he saw her dump that drink of hers down the front of Ruby's dress he found that not only was he shocked, but he was also irate. He watched Ruby's hand fly to the low neck line where Lyla had dumped her drink and the flush and look of horror on the flash to her face. Clearly this was a new thing for her as well as Ruby simply stared at Lyla with her mouth caught open a fraction her eyes wide with disbelief, till he saw it register on her pretty face what had just occurred.
Then it happened quickly he watched as Ruby's eyes narrow and the slight cock of her head as she stared down at the girl her hands pulled into a fist as she took a step towards Lyla no doubt about to do something far worse than spill a drink. Only have a fraction of a moment to react he grabbed Roses hand and pulled her behind him to keep her from harm he turned his back to Lyla and pulled roses hands to his lips and placed a soft kiss on the palm of her hands.
"I"m so sorry Rube's I had no idea she be here and plastered like a wall, honestly shocked she is permitted to be out in public like that.. I'm embrassed for her.. " He watched as Ruby's flush slowly ebbed away, and her crimson brow shot up as she waved a dismissive hand at Lyla.
" My dearest.. This might shock you but its just liquid.. I think I can handle it.. I'm an adult, and a professional.. I'm not prone to trivial acts of stupidity that stem from jealousy I can strap my own heels and such.. " Foxer watched as Ruby offered a shockingly sweet smile and her voice took a slower tone as if she was attempting to speak to a child who struggling to grasp the concept that was above their intellect. "Accidents happen Ms. Hawthorne, well at least particularly around you.. Honestly I'm just thankful you weren't armed with a beater's bat, or I'd likely to end up in the infirmary of Mungo's as that seems to be your track record.. Well I'd offer to let you show me where to freshen up but I'd doubt you can walk a straight line much less lead anything" Foxer watched as his normally exceedingly kind girlfriend flashed a smile at Lyla that held no warm intentions.
"Foxer you mind helping me dry your so good with your hands...... I'm certain you won't ruin the fabric. " tagged: LYLA ROSE HAWTHORNE

The drunken blonde wore a smug smirk of delight as she watched Ruby's face change from that ugly, vile smile she wore to a look of terror. Her eye flickered to Foxer's expression, which showed that he was taken aback by her actions too. She giggled a bit, trying to hide it at first, but the alcohol that was impairing her judgment and influencing her out of control behavior made her laugh even harder. She would have thought Foxer would know better than to underestimate her when she was under the influence, but then again, it was a long time ago and usually Lyla was good at maintaining herself and not getting piss drunk like where she was heading tonight. But then Ruby's face changed from horror to anger and Lyla watched as it looked like she was about to attack her. "Oh honey, I am not afraid to hit. Ask your...Ask Foxer." she changed the course of her sentence, not wanting to admit to herself that he was actually in a relationship. As far as she was concerned, she was just another temporary figure in his life that didn't deserve the title of being his.
As soon as Lyla opened her mouth to spit more venom, another person butted in- Archer, and he went on to condemn her actions. "Excuse you, I'm right here, bastard." she nudged Archer's arm with her elbow as he apologized to them for "how she got when she was this way". "And I'm not sorry one bit." she smiled back at Ruby who went on to speak more. What she had to say fueled the fire even more. "Silencio, hag." she waved her hand in front of Ruby's face, temporarily muting her. Wandless magic came in handy sometimes. "Look dear, I don't need to be armed with a beater's bat to deal with someone who looks like they're the leftovers of a hooker's Christmas party. Now allow me to help you, perhaps lend you a dress that won't make your stomach look like a green Mandrake..." she offered once again, this time shoving her way past Foxer and towards the stairs. Her usual graceful walk was tainted by the alcohol, but she wasn't stumbling yet.
"We'll be back in a few minutes, why don't you two wait outside by the fountain? And DON'T kill each other." she warned them, realizing she was leaving the very two men who ruined her wedding by having a stupid duel...alone together at the very same residence that said duel happened. Oh well. She had better things to do and that was getting rid of pesky Ruby the Brown Nosed reporter. "Yes, down this hall, the second door on the left is my room and I have a TON of old dresses...though I hope they fit, I see that your hips are wide and your stomach isn't very toned." Lyla went on to Ruby as she led her down a hall, but little did she know that the door she was leading her to wasn't her bedroom- it was the closet that was filled with her grandmother's coats.
"Petrificus Totalus." she smiled as she turned around and poked Ruby on the collarbone. She fell to the ground, stiff as a board. "While I don't exactly like you, I am not a horrible hostess. This is the comfiest closet because of all the coats and there aren't many spiders in here. Enjoy your stay." Lyla told Ruby as the blonde pushed her into the closet and shut the door. With a triumphant smirk, she returned downstairs and before heading to the fountain, she got some more of the elf slooge. She sipped it as she walked out the door towards the fountain. She stumbled a little bit, caught off guard by the spot of uneven pavement in which she steps. She spilled a little of the drink onto her hand and she shook it dry. "Ruby won't be joining us for the rest of the evening. Poor thing. She's resting upstairs and isn't feeling like her sweet self." she told Foxer, choosing her wording carefully. "But come on, she's such a wench- worse than some of Archer's past girlfriends." she snorted, looking to Archer as she said it. She sipped more of her elf brew and waited for a response.

What the hell is she doing? He couldn't help his shock as she stumbled from one booze triggered action of absolute horror to another attack.. When she slurred his name he felt his brow furrow and his gaze narrow.. He looked at Archer for help as she obvious was making it a point to out do herself in offense.. "Ruby don't go with her.. Lyla is drunk obviously and drunk women don't make good company they normally end up ruining one thing or another.. "
He frowned as Ruby only offered Lyla a sympathetic look before patting her hand and offering him with a (be kind) look.. Before giving a dramatic sigh and following Lyla obediently saying within ear shot before disappearing into the crowd.. " I don't mean to be bad dresser just never been one for dressing up I"m sure you will think of something to do that will turn this sow ear into a silk purse.." He marveled that Ruby even though moments prior had been attacked by Lyla and mistreated to the point of humiliation could still be kind and gracious and humble even though her position demanded better treatment.. He simply stared after Ruby in awe. Till he heard a not so subtle groan and chuckle..
Never had you pegged for a ginger lover before.. Thought you liked blondesssss" His glower turned to the speaker one Archer who stood by with bemused expression on his face..
Never had one particularly type.. I'm not you.. You think Lyla is being nice upstairs.. He looked back towards the large manner looking worried seconding guessing himself to allow Ruby to by herself with Lyla Ruby was a reporter not a fighter.. He looked at Archer for advice and found it with a look of absolute smarmy smugness as Archer busied himself with rolling a cig, and lighting it before he gave a back over shoulder glance at the house. He quickly fixed Foxer with a smirk and added.. " Ummm Its Lyla she is drunk and she still carries a torch for you.. I'd say sweet Ruby has found the vicious end of a silencing spell and the bottom of a trunk.."
He looked up as he heard Lyla's slurred words which only seemed to make Archer smile widely like he had just philosophized a world event.. He arched a brow as Archer offered a second sig.. " I'll pass.. " Walking up to Lyla and grabbed her arm and hissed in her ear.. " Nice try love.. Though your not a brilliant actress or even a decent one.. So if you would be so kind to show me where she is.. So I can take the hexes off and get her home.. " tagged: LYLA ROSE HAWTHORNE
