Matt couldn't believe it when he had heard that there was another person interested in Relina and that she was interested in that person as well. If she was just going to say no, could she have the decency to say it to his face? It amazed him to no end that girls just saw him as a guy they could hurt and walk past if not walk over as they went about their merry little way. He had been manipulated once, and now he felt as if he was just being led on by Relina, a pain that was far too much for him to even think about. It was causing his classes to suffer, and he was only barely going to move on to sixth year at this point. There was only so much he could take before he had to do something or even just get away for a while. That was the thought at least that brought him to go to the black lake.

Dressed in a grey t-shirt, blue jeans, and grey and black sneakers, Matt headed towards the lake with a somber expression and a haunted look about his eyes. There was little he could do to accept that maybe he really never stood a chance with Relina, and that he had really just wasted his time pursuing her. This had been why he was in that shell until last year. This pain he felt was exactly what he had been afraid of when his ex had pulled him out of the shell. Now he was feeling it for what felt like the second time since the shell broke, and he was in little mood to talk to anyone at this point. However, as he sat on the grass just shy of the beach, he heard footsteps approaching where he was, causing him to look and see who had arrived.

Do Relationships SUCK? Ohhh yes they do.. Honestly if they didn't suck to the point of sucking than honestly the life of Callista Avalon Havoc would be somewhat ideal. Well apart from that whole problem with Ministry being utter corrupted jerks and the drama with the shop... Strangely enough business was booming life was freaking ideal, it was odd that when life at home was in chaos, and life at school mirrored life at home the gold in her pockets seemed to double and triple. Hopefully with her and her mother making the conscience choice to take on Emery as a full time employee and an authenticator meant that she could honestly focus on her studies, but she didn't doubt that the damage was done when it came to the end of year tests. There was a sneaking suspicion that she would be repeating her sixth year, much to her mother's horror.

However there was no time to be worrying about the trivial nonsense of failing out of school when Matthew Johanson was wandering about with the wounds of a broken heart. She had heard it earlier from a group of Slytherin girls that Relina had come to her senses and had made the choice to date the handsome Ravenclaw who was her tutor. Naturally Callista thought Relina was a moron for making a choice like that when Matthew was obviously over the moon for her..

However Callie knew the truth..She had no right to cast a stone at Relina after all if there was a fool she was the queen after all what was more foolish than being the fool who was in love with another fool who was in love with Relina..Callie knew that if there was a crown to be made for moron's she would be crowned quickly but that was the difficult path of Callista Avalon Havoc as it was only a difficult path when you wanted what you couldn't have, and currently that difficult path had her stalking and chasing someone down to the beach.. Hands in her jean'ed pockets her black winter cloak pulled tight around her its dark hood casting a shadow on her face as she found him looking miserable out into the fathomless water of Black Lake..

Her blue eyes watched as he turned his brown head to look at her she winced feeling bad at once for the look of sadness on his face..She stopped a foot from him, and lowered her black hood from the cloak her copper colored hair curling in messy waves over fell and began to dance in the light breeze she sighed.. Before she added tartly.. " I came so your not by yourself.. I thought it would help but your a sight Matthew.. I think I should go hunting me down a Royal and commence with the ass whooping.."

"I'd really rather you didn't hunt her down, Callista. Hurting her physically won't help anything. Heck, me dying wouldn't solve anything either, otherwise I'd be drowning in the lake right now rather than sitting on the grass near the lake," he replied with a solemn sigh. Things hadn't gone at all how he thought they would. He had been asking Relina for awhile now to go on a date with him and she had danced around the issue. Now he was talking to Callista, and he wasn't sure if the rumors about her were true, yet if they were, he'd more than likely end up questioning why she did have interest in a guy who now has been burned twice? It was something that made him really wonder about the sanity of those who pursued the ones who like him were broken in the area of romance. It was a strange thing to even consider as he didn't really consider it a possibility that a girl would risk just being a rebound if a guy was still so sunk into the one he missed out on. He knew Relina would be pissed to even think about being called a rebound, so why would any other girl be any different?

"Callista, I have something I'm rather curious about," he admitted, his mind going back to just the rumors. He wanted to know if they were true or if someone had been giving him false information. If it was the latter, he'd be hunting people down and giving them a rather vicious reason to not start rumors about others. If it was the former, well then his mind went back to the sanity of Callista and just how much there was if she was going after him when he was obviously targeting Relina and was hurt by what appeared to be her making the choice to go in a different direction. Thinking about that made him look out towards the water before picking up a rock next to him and hurling it as far out towards the center of the lake as possible. It was almost too much for him to bear, the idea that he really wasn't good enough for Relina, and that ultimately she was just another Slytherin, eager to manipulate whoever was around just for amusement.

She didn't know men could be moopy like girls had a tendency to be. She had always assumed that it was a fault of the weaker sex to get that caught up in relationships. It had never occurred that she looked on the subject of love with the perception of a naieve girl who had no experience in the art of romance. Callista simply was a late bloomer not the sleek beauty that seem created for the sole purpose of making men tremble with want..

No Callista was different, where she might now look like an attractive woman sort she was still hung up on the mannerism of women. This whole sulking over some twit that didn't want to swap D.N.A seemed to her like a waste of time least to her. Matthew was handsome enough to turn her head she figured with that he should be soat-ing the wild oats after all there were other girls to chase beside Relina Royal whom was yes breath taking beautiful but apparently temperamental and prone to changing her mind.

OH GOD STOP WITH THE OFFING YOURSELF TALK.. JEEZ merlin Matthew.. YOU KEEP THAT UP I'LL drag you into the lake myself.. I un-like Missy high and tight ass'd am not afraid of a little water and will gladly take one for the team if it means watching your mood improve.. HONESTLY Hell YOU KEEP THAT UP I'll bait the squid myself.. A good Squid Tentacle Enema might be what you need.. "

She smirked " Hear that its how the Snakes make it threw the days.." Looking at him her smirk faultered a fraction as it did normally when faced with a grim outlook.. Choosing to simply advert her glance back at the lake.. " Okay Mr. Curiousity.. Shoot,but remember Relina is your friend.. I don't hang with girls like her.. I can take pot shots at my self esteem perfectly fine on my own without hanging out with beautiful people.. Plus you know how it works one moment you eat with them the next they have you bathing daily and combing your hair.. and well there I DRAW The line.. I don't want to join their little cult of hot people.. Granted I'd like to screw a few but thats just exchanging dna nothing lasting or commitment that involves sacrificing of my first born to the Mighty Powerful RAHHHH.. So umm my knowledge on the inner workings of Relina Royal might be limited.. "

Her words in response to his even hinting that offing himself was running through his mind made him raise an eyebrow. They were blunt to say the least, but needless to say they were maybe a little too graphic and definitely disturbing. He hadn't even been serious in considering it if he dismissed the possibility rather quickly. Granted Callista's reaction was relatively amusing if nothing else. Heck really despite how disturbing and graphic they were, her words made it almost impossible for him to not laugh, at least had he not pretty much walled off most of his emotions at this point. His emotions had to be walled off, his heart needed to be sealed off from others. This wasn't just a no, this had been a girl playing with his emotions. Any other girl at this point was just getting at best what was left of him after that, and what girl wanted that out of a guy? It was painful to say the least, but there really wasn't a whole lot he could do except keep himself walled up.

"That is rather graphic, and if you actually listened you'd have heard that I had dismissed the idea of offing myself rather than actually be considering it. I'm hurt, but not suicidal hurt," he replied finally, shaking his head. It was odd how she had automatically assumed that he would be willing to off himself. What good would that do? It wouldn't solve the issue at all really, just make Relina feel like she ruined a life in a far worse way than anyone should make them feel. No, if anything she deserved to see just how much pain she had put him through, and then get brutally compared to the fact that she manipulated him just like his ex had, and that she was to blame now for the fact that he would probably end up alone for the rest of his life, all because he now felt like he couldn't really trust girls. That sort of pain was beyond normal for most, but at this point, who could say if he wasn't in the right for feeling this hurt?

"No, this has nothing to do with Royal at all really. It has to do with rumors I've heard concerning you. Rumors that say you have a crush on me. My question is are those rumors true?" he asked, momentarily letting contempt hover over his voice when he mentioned Relina. Needless to say it was going to be better if she just stayed away rather than come near him, but inevitably that was a near impossibility. They were in the same year, and it was difficult to avoid having classes with someone you didn't like if you were in the same year as them. It was unavoidable in that area, but for now at least he had the rumors he was attempting to confront. He knew his reaction if they were true, and if they were false, well he wasn't really in a good mood to have to deal with anyone else's attempts at manipulation. It was at this point a suicide pact to try and manipulate him, or at minimum accepting that your life would then be a living hell.

Callista's good hearted friendly smile faltered the moment he told her that if she listened than she would have picked up that he was not actually intending to off himself. That he was just hurt.. Honestly if it was anyone else other than this Matthew whom was hurt at the moment she would have lit into them for the use of dramatic statements when their was no use for any.. Instead she fixed him with a classic cut the crap look that she was very noted for..

Funny with all the mention of drowning ones self in the lake if you thought it would help.. I guess it escaped my attention that it was just an a thing people toss into common conversation without an actual thought of self harm. Well that is a load off Here I was actually worried, and your just giving it your all to be a callous self stroking twit... Who is more concerned about the way something comes out, instead of the actual emotion behind it.. Ass...

It is a very good thing that Callie didn't breath out what was rolling in her little mind because if she did it probably would have cut down all usable lines of communication which would have defeated her propose for being out there.. Instead she gave a long annoyed sigh and pinched the bridge of her nose and willed herself with that advise that she had heard from a young age.. That wonderful advice of if she had nothing nice to say than she needed to keep her little trap shut till she found something to pleasant to say.. Till finally after several passing moments she found something that where it might not be the ego stroke he was looking for it wasn't the kiss of death..

"well Johanson I was simply worried.. I don't want to see you in the dumps over some silly girl.. As relationships have ups and downs and those whom are worth getting are worth a fight to get them.. I just don't like seeing you loose your fight...As for the crush.. I did..I still melt at the knee when I see you. But Matthew I think you need one more silly girl doe eyed and drooling like you need a hole in your head.. You need friends right now.. I know my place.. I might look like the silly doe eyed but I'm I'm not.. Far from.. I'm the sort that you need.. You might not want but hell Matthew you don't know it right now but you need me.. Cause where I'm not going to try to climb into your bed, YET.. " she smirked.. " I'm going to be the voice of wisdom that is untainted that has the spine to tell you what you need hear, verse what you want to hear...You need honesty.. Well baby here I am.. "

Matt caught her cut the crap look and gave her an offended look that seemed to ask if she was serious. There was no crap here, just a guy in pain over having been played like a fiddle, and wishing all the more that he had just stayed in the shell he had been in. It was annoying that she wasn't taking him seriously. What was humorous or light hearted about what he was feeling at this point? If anything she needed to be more sensitive to what he was going through rather than just make a mockery of the pain. Really he could have sworn girls would have been much more understanding of the pain, yet apparently Callista was far from sympathetic to his sorrow. Was there really any point talking to her if she was just going to mock his pain? Not really, and with that he felt like just leaving rather than saying another word, at least until she spoke.

"Callista, she played me as if I was some sort of toy. I had tried for months to get Relina to go out with me even on just one date and she danced around ever answering me, then she goes and falls for the next guy to come along. She manipulated me, just like my ex had. If girls are just going to be manipulative, I don't even want to try," he replied, every bit of pain and sorrow from the whole ordeal coming to the surface. He was way too hurt by all of this to keep it in for too much longer. He was hurt, Relina had ruined his trust in her. He had thought the world of her until he heard the rumors going around. The problem was that he had found rumors to come out a little too true in the past to even think of trying to discredit the ones about Relina. To him she was a manipulative witch, which was more than enough reason for him to be upset. He did however, want to hear from her why.
