Jackie never considered herself evil. Yes, she was a vampire. Yes, she drank human blood. Yes, at one time she was a thief at one time, stealing side by side with Katalina. But was she really a monster? No, she was no more wicked than most anyone... so what brought her to Knockturn Alley? She wasn't quite sure, but she did know that the Curiosity Shop intrigued her enough to walk into it. Perhaps it was knowing she could find anything in there. Who knew, maybe something she recognized from her very long past. Stepping in, she looked around. She seemed to be the only one in sight, but she assumed the place was open. The lights were on, the door was open, and... well being a vampire she sensed the presence of others. She decided not to disturb whoever was working there at the time and just look about. The place had a lot of impressive wares. Perhaps she would leave with a nice necklace or bracelet... having paid for it of course. Jackie's thieving days were (seemingly) long behind her. It was noon, well more like noonish. Okay honestly time had slipped her mind, as it normally did when she was caught up trying to figure out a date and origin of an object. She heard the ringing of the bell and dismissed at once figuring Mrs. Havoc would be quick to answer.
Leaning on an elbow on the counter with an ornate infant silver rattle, before she picked it up, noting for a second time that it had felt exceedingly heavy. At least she figured it was far too heavy for a child’s toy. She turned it over in her hand and studied its ornate build the tiny silver mice that seemed to line the old fashioned grandfather clock looking handle..
Emery noted that when she turned it their tiny pointy faces turned looking at her with their beady ruby red eyes all but shimmered. Glaring as she returned the silver rattle to the black velvet wrap.. Looking up she caught sight of the costumer a young woman. Looking around the shop for Mrs. Havoc she noted the red haired woman was no where to be seen.. Wincing she looked at the customer.
“I’ll be with in a moment let me put this away.. Is there something I can help you with?”

Some would be startled by a sudden voice in a quiet room, but Jackie wasn't one to get startled so easily. The vampire had seen a lot of horrors in her time. Were there things she still feared? Of course, but hardly something of this sort. She looked over towards the voice. She wanted to say she was just browsing and needed nothing, but she knew where that would go. It created awkwardness, especially when the only people in the store were you and the owner (or another employee). "Um... yes, perhaps you can," she said. "I find your shop most unusual and interesting. I was wondering if I could find some rather unique jewelry in here, preferably a necklace or a bracelet."Jackie didn't care for rings. She didn't like how many of them symbolized one being wed, and also never liked struggling to pull them off one of her ring fingers when they were two tight. Necklaces and bracelets only meant silly vanity and could be unhooked. EMERY BRIDGETTE HORNVALE

Jewelry?
It wasn't an uncommon request many sought out jewelry when the went shopping for antiques. However they weren't in a normal antique store, there were loads of dealers that could found peddling various trendy eclectic novelties for wearing in Diagon. Their wearable treasures were not as normal or in most peoples opinion tasteful as what could be found.
"Well shockingly we do have a few items that could be considered jewelry we have the shrunken heads of Isope Verfolk children that he beheaded, shrank, and charmed silver and placed on a red silk ribbon for his wife's tenth anniversary.. Granted most refer to it as exhibit A rather than a necklace, but when he was interviewed about his crimes, he stated that he was indeed going for a necklace when he did that horrible crime.." Emery gave it some thought and dug in her work apron pulling out a large leather inventory ledger thumbing through she sighed...
" I did have a buyer in Montreal for it though, there was just a matter of customs, but he understood the care needed for the up keep of the piece.. However as he is not due to arrive till three days to actually claim the piece it is still up for grabs.. "

While some people might be appalled by the idea of shrunken heads and violent crimes, Jackie simply listened with interest... in the story anyway. She wasn't quite sure she was looking for something that extreme. "That's fine," she said. "Leave that to your buyer. I know your competitor nearby sells pieces of jewelry, but I find his shop a bit unsettling to browse in." She leaned in to Emery. "That damned wolf of his." She didn't like Dathan Burke, but she couldn't stand his wolf always sniffing around her, letting her know that it knew what she was. "Anyway I felt you might have some to offer as well, but it's quite alright. You have a nice shop here."Jackie then realized introductions were in order. "Jacqueline Prynce," she said, offering a hand. "I work in the apothecary in Diagon Alley. And you are?" Perhaps it was silly to try to establish some kind of friendship with someone who's store you were entering for the first time, but the fact was Jackie was still trying to make friends and be social after all the time she hid from the world.
