Some trials were easy enough for Ilsa, and didn't require a lot of time in the courts. Others were pure Hell, and were drawn out for weeks and weeks, sometimes months because no one seemed able to get their facts straight and her research together. Her defense of grand theft suspect Wally East was one of those trials. Today it seemed like an eternity before the residing Wizengamot called it a day.
Now it was time for her to go to the Leaky Cauldron and drink until she forgot about the day. She walked in, the dark circles under her eyes hidden in the pub's dim light, and sat at her usual table. A waiter walked over.
"The usual, Ms. Galant? he asked.
"No, something stronger today," she said. "What do you recommend for me to get good and hammered and fast?"
"Well there's our new drink, The Head-Spinning Curse," said the waiter. "Probably the strongest drink we've ever served here.
"Sounds interesting," she said. "I'll try one." The waiter nodded and headed off to get the drink.
