Graduation was just around the corner. That was when Wallace would be leaving Hogwarts. This was bittersweet though. Wallace definitely was far from being top of his class and had never tried to be such a thing. And while Wallace wasn't stupid, he just wasn't the person who liked to work hard, or work at all. But a realization had come upon him the closer they got to N.E.W.T.s, if he didn't pass the right N.E.W.T.s he wouldn't have any type of career in life, which was something that he couldn't do.
So the seventeen year old began to focus a bit more in classes, prepare a little more than he'd ever done. He was careful though not to pester the people who wouldn't want him asking for anything. He knew that certain people, Gisella especially, despised it when he interrupted their studying, mainly because it was a lack of focus that he had.
But the poor boy had been a little lost the last few days after finding his cousin in a pool of blood. He'd burned the clothes that he was wearing when he found her. His pants had been soaked in her blood. And honestly he couldn't bare to think about that night whatsoever. He worried about Gisella now. He worried that she wasn't okay.
So now he had popped open a book to focus on something else, something other than Gisella because he if continued to focus on her he'd probably go crazy. No, Wallace carefully looked at his potions book and read it to himself. He sat in the Slytherin Common Room and leaned back with his legs stretched across the entire couch. The rather tall young man was happy to have something to take his mind off of everything. There was only one thing that could make this moment better and that would be pouring into this book with Thalia by his side.

Thalia tucked stray hair behind her ear, nodding absently at whatever it was the sixth year Ravenclaw prefect was telling her. Something about petitioning to take on a few more patrols now that it was the end of the year in order to have a better chance at taking her spot next year. She plastered a wry smile on her face and nodded her head, not bothering to tell the girl that it was pretty futile at that point to do anything. Chances were, the professors had already vied for their own Head students already. Still, with the girl taking on more patrols, it meant that the blonde had a couple more hours of free time. “Sure. You can take over mine for tonight. I got loads to study for. Cheers!” She gave the girl a mock salute and turned on her heel, all but skipping down the stairs in order to head back down the stairs towards the dungeons.
She pulled the paper that had all the marked patrols down and changed the names easily. She’d have to turn this in at the end of the week, and people might wonder why the sudden change had happened. She’d probably get a stern talking or something, but Thalia tended to shut down in those occasions and focus her mind on something else. Something like the future. It was, perhaps, bittersweet, but the reality of it was that she couldn’t wait to be out of Hogwarts. The stone castle had been like a home to her, sure, but it had never been the place that she felt she had truly belonged. Of all the professions that had been presented to her, she had never thought about returning to this place and helping to educate the masses. She’d do that enough whenever she had kids. That was, of course, if she didn’t just get them a tutor.
The thought that had crossed her mind made her stop dead in her tracks. She had just about reached the common room, but she leaned against the wall and put her hand on her forehead. It was still a little too soon to be thinking about that sort of thing, honestly. She hadn’t even graduated yet. She had quite a number of years before she had kids yet. Her parents had waited, and both she and Cole had turned out alright. Besides, she hadn’t discussed anything of the sort with Wallace. She wasn’t even sure if he wanted to continue the relationship outside of the castle. She had certainly hoped so, but she understood what tended to happen when work factored into the relationship. With a frown, she shook her head. Thalia really missed her boyfriend, actually. She saw him pretty much every day in the classes they shared, but the blonde was generally preoccupied with taking notes.
Cole and Katrina were planning on moving in together. She was almost tempted to ask Wallace if he wanted to wait a couple of weeks so that they could get themselves situated in their own jobs and offer to move in together, too. (That, of course, assuming he did want to stay with her.) Once she had finally made her way into the common room, she let her eyes look around the common room. She had her bag on her, but there wasn’t any particular thing she really needed to look over. Thalia did, however, grin extremely deviously - somewhat like her favorite Sinclair - when she did spot the brunette. He certainly looked comfortable enough, taking up an entire couch. The younger years must have certainly appreciated it. She dumped her bag on the floor right beside the couch and plopped the potions book out of his hand, depositing it on the floor much like her bag while simultaneously crawling on him. It took her a second to adjust her legs to his and lowered herself down gently so he could accustom himself to her weight. She sighed contently, reaching down to intertwined her fingers with him. “Hello, darling.” She purred. “Missed you.”
