Prep And Packing (Open To Trip Goers)

What many didn't know about Mera was that ever since the trip to Japan was planned at the beginning of the term, Mynk had been learning to speak Japanese in her spare time. She had gotten pretty good at it too. She was hardly fluent, but could probably get around the city well enough. As she packed for the trip, she recited some of the phrases, trying to her best to get them correct as possible. She learned that sometimes if a word is mispronounced, it could take on a whole new meaning, and she didn't want to offend anyone.

The trip was still a little while away, but Mynk wanted to get most of the packing out of the way. Her suitcase was enchanted and would keep whatever clothes she placed in it neat and unwrinkled. At this time, she had also offered for any student or staff to come up and discuss the trip with her, asking questions and the like. She wanted to make sure this trip was a great one, as she had missed the one to Rome last year.

(Tagging Staff going on the trip, but students going are allowed as well.)

Snug had been working at Hogwarts for years but never once had a chance to go on the summer trip. He always had plans or something suddenly came up so he was unable to go, and finally he was going to get to go. However, he realized while packing he should probably talk to one of the other professors about how everything was going to work or what he should pack.

Professor Mynk had given an open invitation for everyone to come discuss the trip with her so he headed through the school to her personal chambers. He knocked. "Esmeralda, it's Claudius." he said through the door in greeting. He might be a prankster and jokester but he wasn't going to be rude and just enter a woman's bed chamber.

Mynk was chatting away with her cat, Medusa, when Claudius knocked on the door and announced himself. Mynk smiled. She liked Claudius. He was a sweet old man with a youthful heart and among her best friends on the staff. He was always welcomed to chat over tea in her living quarters at Hogwarts.

"Claudius, please come in," she said after stepping over and answering the door. "Medusa and I were just packing." She chuckled. "Well I was. I believe Medusa is just sitting there wondering if she is going to accompany me on the trip. I could never forget my darling." Mera smiled at Medusa, who meowed back. The meow also served as a greeting for Claudius. Since Mera had affinity towards felines, any friend of hers was usually a friend of Medusa's. "Would you care for some tea? I was just about have some myself after I finished with this suitcase."

Hearing Mynk's voice respond and tell him to come on in he turned the door knob and stepped in. "Apologies for interupting your packing." he said with a smile. He walked over to Medusa to give her a gentle pat on the head in greeting before turning back to Mera.

"Some tea would be absolutely delightful." he said when she offered him some tea. He sat down and relaxed a bit while he waited for Mera to get situated and then smiled. "How many of the school trips have you been on?" he asked her curiously.
