Colton had decided to ask Lily Potter, one of his best friends to come to the ball with him. He'd honestly always liked Lily but he knew well enough that a relationship between them would never work. He honestly didn't care for Albus or James and how over protective they were of her. Besides she was like a sister to him. He was so very happy to have her as a good friend. He was very glad to have her going to the ball with him as well. He was just waiting to get cornered by one of her brothers because of it in the end. He had put on a white shirt underneath a brown jacket and some black pants matched with a nice pair of brown shoes. He'd found a beautiful gold and black musical styled mask with intricate gold designs covering it. It caught his eye and he very much liked it. He made sure to look his best for going on a date with the girl that was his best friend. He'd gotten ready up in the Ravenclaw common room before heading down to the Great Hall. He had suggested to make his way to meet her near the refreshments table and that way they wouldn't be waiting for each other and could begin to have fun. So he went on ahead in and kept his eyes all around the Great Hall. He grabbed a cup of pumpkin juice and sipped it for a few moments. His eyes followed the movement around the Great Hall, following to see if he could find Lily's beautiful red hair. He had no idea what she would be wearing to the ball but he was pretty sure that she would look stunning in it. He sipped on his pumpkin juice a bit more and smiled as he saw a few of his friends out dancing with dates. He loved the balls they were so much fun.

Would you dance if i asked you to dance? would you run and never look back? would you cry if you saw me crying? and would you save my soul tonight?-----------------
The ball was supposed to have been a way for her to get out of the common room, to get out of her dorm, to get out of the library, and inside. She was supposed to be taking a break – it was supposed to be fun. Honestly, trying on her dress and getting her mask. Consulting Molly and Dominique and even Rose on how she should do her hair had been fun, especially when they did it under the impression that she didn't have a date. In public. It was an easy secret to hide from Al, but James was another story entirely. They they had finally figured out a way to make the young fifth years hair stand out without automatically giving her away, she had been more than a little ecstatic. She had been 'bounce off the wall' unbearable – or that was what Louis had been complaining about. So what if Lily was excited to go to a ball? She was a girl. Girls liked to go out and shop. If her dearest cousin couldn't understand that, it was no surprise to her that he didn't have a date. To her knowledge, neither did Hugo. She'd been expecting to go with them and just goof off. When Colton had asked her, she had been pleasantly surprised.
She knew that he didn't have a date, and she had been fully expecting to find him and wring him into the dance with them. He was also so fun to be around – a real riot. That was one of the things she loved about him best. That, and, for someone who wasn't related to her, he was surprisingly knowledgeable about her habits. It was why he was one of her best friends. The one thing she regretted was the fact that she had neglected to ask him what he was wearing. For herself, she had asked her mum for a navy dress that wouldn't put her hair in a bad light. She hadn't been disappointed, although she was shocked that it was kind of short. It didn't matter though because she had found the perfect heels to accompany them, as well as the best mask. She was almost head over heels for it, if she had to be perfectly honest. When she fitted it around her eyes, she found freedom Lily hadn't enjoyed in a while.
The walking down the moving staircases was a little hard. Admittedly, she had hooked her arm around her cousin's to make sure she didn't fall flat on her face as they made their way down from their tower. It'd be easier on the dance floor because, then, at least she knew when to expect that they were moving. For now, she just had to keep herself satisfied. Stepping into the Great Hall and leaving her cousins behind – which was more like shoving them away from her and trying to get lost in the crowd so they wouldn't be crass – she made her way to the refreshments table with excited butterflies moving around in her stomach. It didn't take too long for her to spot the familiar hair of her best friend. Lily immediately changed the direction she was walking into pop right in front of him. The mask didn't cover all of her face, so it was incredibly easy to spot the grin she sent her way. “Colton?” She questioned with a tilt of her head. “Your mask is so awesome!”

Colton kept his eyes out and around the Great Hall. He knew his brother and sister were also bound to be here. He hadn't really told anyone that he was asking Lily to the ball. Why would he want to spoil it by being asked about seven million questions. They were just friends, someone to spend a good night with and have a ton of memories. The youngest of the Lloyd group he went through a lot of the over protective stuff that she did. He also went through some picking on because he was the so called angel of the family. He had a good time, the trouble that his brothers got into flowed through his veins, he'd learned by watching just how to hide it properly. His chocolate brown eyes fell upon a girl in a beautiful blue dress. His eyes had followed her from the ground up and when he saw it was Lily a wide smile came to his face. Her mask was amazing, a white that just showed all her features perfectly with a glittery silver that spotted it. ”Colton?” she asked him. He grinned and nodded as she went on to tell him that she liked his mask. ”And you, you're absolutely stunning,” he said excitedly. He knew she'd look amazing coming in here tonight, she looked stunning just in her Hogwarts robes. He had no idea she would look this stunning though. He was so much more excited now for the ball. He sat down his drink and he held his hand out to take her hand. Any guy would have been lucky to take her to the ball, he was glad to say that he was that lucky guy, or very unlucky guy if he got cornered by either of her brothers. James and Albus were way too over protective of their sister in his opinion. At least they could each have fun though, and in all honesty they were at the ball as friends. If there was one thing that either of them knew was that no relationship could ever happen. Colton liked Lily but as a member of the family, as a best friend. He never brought up the idea though. Why bring something up that wasn't worth an argument? He was more interested in spending the time with her. Besides one day they'd be happily growing their own families and be able to raise their children as best friends as well. Tonight was going to be a brilliant night of fun. ”We should enjoy a dance together,” he suggested. He had honestly not found a date, but he'd been going through his own things before the ball and didn't have a chance. He was very glad that Lily didn't have someone else. She wasn't a back up in all honesty she was a first choice. And if they hadn't gone together they would have found each other at the ball. He was just glad that he asked her. The least he could offer her was a nice dance. He definitely was going to enjoy the night and make sure she did as well.

Would you dance if i asked you to dance? would you run and never look back? would you cry if you saw me crying? and would you save my soul tonight?-----------------
It was kind of weird, but she could already feel some stares being pinned in their direction. In her mind, it was kind of stupid for her brothers to be so protective and annoying. Her mum had mentioned that her brothers had been worse. She believed it, especially because she saw the way that her uncles and aunts treated their own kids. So, even though she loved her brothers to pieces and greatly appreciated the fact that they looked after her, it was incredibly stupid that they didn't trust her enough to get herself out of any dangerous situation. And, it wasn't as if this was particularly dangerous situation. Sure, she risked tripping and breaking her leg or something. But, Colton was right here with her. Colton who was a best friend and almost family. They'd met him before; played Quidditch with him.
The fact that they couldn't trust him made her belief that they probably wouldn't be able to trust any of them. She could remember part of the conversation she had had with some of her friends. She'd been complaining about the fact that she wasn't ever going to be able to get married. Lily was pretty sure she wasn't even going to get the chance to date anyone until her seventh year. And, that was if Hugo and Louis didn't step up. And, she would ensure that they wouldn't. She'd sooner hex them both than allow for either of them to stop her. Her face flushed a brilliant shade of red. She tried to throw it off by laughing and nodding her head. “You're such a sweetheart, Colton. I probably wouldn't have tried this hard if it weren't for you.” Now, she wasn't entire sure whether or not this was a lie. She probably would have still worn the same dress and heels, but she probably wouldn’t have done anything else the same. Lily would have worn her hair in the same ringlets she would have always worn them in. She might have still been at the ball, but she would have been with family and not with her best friend. She beamed in his direction. More and more people were starting to fill out the Great Hall, but she was sure they would be able to find a sport just for them.
“That's a silly thing to say.” She mused slightly, winking and not at all being bothered by her mask. The two of them might have gotten in too much trouble. In all honesty, Colton was a lot better at not getting caught by any of the prefects and making sure that they had a specific place to hide if they were ever out past dark than any of his siblings. She might have said he was even better than her own, but James had an invisibility cloak to help him. He never shared, either, the little bugger. “We always enjoy every dance we have, don't we?” She certainly did. Lily would have been lying if she said that she had never had a crush on the youngest Lloyd. He was adorable, smart, funny, and charming. She wasn't the only person who had ever thought so. She had held several conversations with many of the other fifth years about it. It was kind of petty and definitely more than just a little bit childish, but she had relished in it because she had loved the fact that she wasn't going to be alone all night. Sure, Lily was going to go and let him have fun if some other girl asked him to dance. They were friends – good friends. It wasn't as if they were dating, though the redhead wouldn't have wanted to even if he would ask. Their friendship was too important to her to lose like that.

Colton knew her brothers very well. He played Quidditch against the two Potter boys, James a Seeker, Albus a Beater and him a Chaser, well they could nearly make half a team by themselves. They were great guys who just cared a lot for his sister. He was under the belief that James might kill him for taking Lily to the ball. He wished that they would just trust their sister with her life. He was sure that Lily could out duel him any day. He could say one thing though, with how beautiful she was he honestly couldn't blame them. She could have easily had Veela in her blood if he didn't know better.
”You're such a sweetheart, Colton. I probably wouldn't have tried this hard if it weren't for you.” He grinned she always knew just what to say. ”Well I'm glad I am someone to try hard for,” he smiled. It was a nice boost to his pride. She was a beautiful girl and even if they would only be friends the rest of their lives. He didn't mind, their friendship was way too precious to churn down the drain because of a relationship attempt. Besides people who make perfect friends could easily make terrible partners.
He pawed his hand for a moment to adjust his mask. It was strange for him to wear a mask over his face. He laughed when she told him it was silly for him to tell her that they should enjoy a dance together. ”We always enjoy every dance we have, don't we?” ”Guess it's a good thing we like to dance then,” he smiled. He gave her a hug. He'd been happy to spend the night with the perfect girl, the girl who he was permanently in the friend zone, or maybe sibling zone would be a better word for it. He wouldn't mind if someone asked her to dance, he was sure someone would want to. ”When I find the right girl for me, I swear Lily, if she doesn't like to dance I think I'd be in a terrible relationship,” he told her with a grin. He'd dated, but he wasn't someone who wanted to stay in a relationship for too long with someone he didn't like.

Would you dance if i asked you to dance? would you run and never look back? would you cry if you saw me crying? and would you save my soul tonight?-----------------
Honestly, Lily was very much tempted to tell him just how many of the girls in their year talked about him. She didn't understand why he didn't have a date. He could have asked any fifth year girl to the ball, and they would have been ecstatic about it. They were sure to have said yes and brag about it. It wasn't that she was complaining, because she wasn't, but she had been shocked. Oh well, she was perfectly happy to be the one who had gotten the chance. Hopefully, her brothers would be focused on their dates. Her cousins sure were, and she was to be left to her own devices. Having the chance to be out with Colton was fun. She had made the effort to look good, but she knew that she didn't have to try too hard. He had seen her after she had gone running; when she had no makeup on, her hair was thrown up into a messy ponytail, and her clothes were disheveled. Of course she was going to look pretty now that she had made the effort.
Besides, she had said it once before, and she was perfectly happy to say it again. Colton was a cutie. It was only a shame that they were such good friends with one another. “Course you are.” She beamed at him, tapping him lightly in the arm. She wasn't entirely sure if he was being modest on purpose, or genuinely surprised by the comment. Either way, seeing his reaction was a little more than priceless. “Did you honestly expect not to be?” Her eyebrow twitched upwards with the question. She bit the corner of her lip, debating on whether or not to bring it up. Finally, the teasing part of her personality won the argument. “Didn't you know you were 'a catch', Colton? The amount of gossip I hear about you would be enough to make you the cockiest kid in our year.” Lily was only partially kidding, too. That was the best part about all of it.
Lily laughed, wrapping her arms around him briefly in her own hug. When he did pull away, she'd admit to having the silly smile on her face. She found it odd when people didn't like to dance – after all, this was an excuse to get out! To not worry about anything and have fun. She didn't understand the people who complained about it. No one was forcing them to be here. They could have easily spent the night relaxing around the Black Lake or something. It wasn't as if there were any teachers or prefects out there. Now that she thought about it, that would be the perfect opportunity to go out and do something. She'd have to keep that in mind in case there was another ball and she didn't have a date. (Not that she was hoping for that to happen.) “Dancing is only fun when you have the right partner. We're just lucky we found each other.” She laughed, but she did understand what he was saying. And, because he was one of her best friends, it was weird for her when he brought up dating. That being said, Lily was a girl. She loved setting people up and trying to double date. “I'd demand you break up with her right away and find someone to go dancing.” She shrugged. “That being said, same. You have to tell me if the guy sucks at dancing, yeah?”

Colton grinned when she told him that he was someone to try for. She was most definitely someone to try for as well. He looked at her and she was the beauty of this world. She was absolutely perfect in every way. She was fun-loving and incredibly smart and absolutely beautiful. ”Did you honestly expect not to be?” Colton smiled wide. ”I know I am, I just have been in one of those moods, the whole stuff with family still gets to me, hit me really hard the last few days, I'm feeling better, still hard to accept a compliment though,” he said. He didn't naturally run depressed but it happened and he dealt with it in ways that many people dealt with it, by avoiding people at all quests. ”Didn't you know you were 'a catch', Colton? The amount of gossip I hear about you would be enough to make you the cockiest kid in our year.” Colton grinned wide, ”well maybe you should tell any girl who talks about me I'm actively looking, but they can't be jealous of you,” he told her. He did need any girl he spent time with to not be jealous of his friendship with any girls who were part of his group of friends.
Colton broke into dance all the time just randomly. It was part of his occasionally eccentric personality. Whether or not he had a person to join him he still danced and had fun. Not always did he have someone to join him, but hey if music was in his ears there was a chance he was dancing to it, even if it was just imaginative music. He could easily be a bit of an oddball but at least he had fun. ”Dancing is only fun when you have the right partner. We're just lucky we found each other.” He smiled wide, ”Or, or, wait until you hear this idea, if we both find someone who doesn't like to dance, we could just dance and they could sit all bored while we danced,” he laughed.
He looked around the Great Hall to see who else they knew around. Looking around reminded him, ”by the way, you're crazy brothers aren't aware of this are they?” he asked. He jokingly called the crazy a few times because of their obsessiveness when it came to her being with boys. Oh he wished so much that he could just tell them off, but then again James and Albus, well he was okay not telling them off and getting into an argument with them. They were good guys who just cared about their younger sister, maybe it was just he felt being the youngest as well he knew what that was like. Maybe that alone was why he had such a hard time believing that they could do that. He also kept his mouth shut the majority of the time when he was with a new girl. He didn't date often, but his interest in girls has peeked more and more lately. He was attracted and to say the least he knew he was not a bad looking young man. He just didn't find the right girl to spend his time with, that was what dating was for after all.

Would you dance if i asked you to dance? would you run and never look back? would you cry if you saw me crying? and would you save my soul tonight?-----------------
Her heart definitely broke a little bit. She knew what he was talking about, even if she rarely ever admitted it to herself. She had a hard time picturing who had it worse. On one hand, she had all of her brothers and her cousins in Hogwarts with her. But, the bigger bulk of her cousins were female. They understood her plight and tried to lie for her whenever she needed them to. As for Colton, he had older brothers. Older brothers that, while not incredibly protective of him, totally interfered in whatever love life their younger brother tried to have. “Aww. Don't worry about it.” She patted his arm. Not in a condescending way. More in an empathetic, friendly way. “Just don't forget that, whenever you need me, you only have to wander around the halls and find me.” Lily nudged him with a bright smile on her face. “You're one of my best friends, after all.” She found herself giggling and her face turning as bright as her hair. Her mum liked to tell her that it was a thing all redheads shared. No matter how embarrassed they got, or even how giddy they were depending on the situation, their faces would always, always turn the color of their hair. She knew it wasn't possible that her mum would lie to her, either. Because, she had seen the proof in her uncles.
She laughed and nodded her head. Lily may not have been as good with randomly dancing as Colton was, but she tried her best. She shimmied from side to side, her fingers up in the air and twiddling from side to side. It was a little harder to move around than she generally would, but not so much so. She had made sure that her shoes were something she could happen. “Don't worry. I'll try my best to let them know.” As in, she'd make sure every single fifth year knew that her best friend was available. And actively looking, apparently. That part amused her the most. She smirked and laughed, patting him on the shoulder. “That is the best idea I've heard in a while.” She agreed wholeheartedly. It was only unfortunate that she probably wouldn't find another dancing partner like Colton.
Because, it wasn't even fair. Colton was her friend. Had been her friend for a long time. If her crazy brothers couldn't understand that he wasn't going to do anything to her, she really wasn't ever going to be able to get married, let alone get a date. She had joked the other day about wanting to get a bunch of cats. She was going to be the old woman with twenty, maybe thirty of them. That, or owls. Having a bunch of owls would also be fun – they hunted for themselves and they were dreadfully useful, too. “Of what? The fact that I had a date for the ball and amnot crying my eyes out in my dorm?” She asked, innocently. It hadn't taken much. Just a little lie here, a bigger lie there. As far as her brothers were concerned, she was in her dorm eating loads of ice cream in her pajamas. That they had, successfully, scared off any and every suitor and she had refused to come to the ball with her cousins. The only male in her family that knew otherwise was...Hugo, and she was confident he wouldn't sell her out. “Nope. You should be safe, lest Molly snitch on me.”

Colton smiled and gave her a hug. He was very glad to have her as a friend, even if one would say she could be a family member. ”Aww. Don't worry about it.” He smiled a little bit more, ”well tonight is not about past depression, tonight is about enjoying each others company and having a fun night,” he told her in the end. He was very glad to have Lily Potter as a friend. She was not one that he would ever like to lose even by chance. She had told him that he only needed to wander to find her. ”I'm glad we're best friends, very glad, dunno what I'd do without you, Lily,” he smiled. She was a wonderful girl, a beautiful girl, one that was probably his best friend in the whole world. She had such a great personality. He laughed when her face started to turn red and she was giggling. ”Best friend in my life,” he confirmed his thoughts.
”You're going to actually start searching aren't you?” he asked her. He knew Lily liked to play the match-up game, set people up and see if they work. ”Well I guess if someone is going to, it will have to be you, because you'll be particularly good at finding me the perfect someone,” he smiled wide. He laughed as she told him that his idea of finding people who don't dance was the best idea she'd heard. ”I think that will work better, because at least you don't get embarrassed when I try to dance randomly with you,” he smiled wide.
Albus and James were nice guys, really they were. The two Potter brothers were just a bit over protective of their sister. They were leading her to be the crazy cat lady that she was joking about the other day, though cats weren't that bad. He was like a brother to her and she was like a sister to him. ”I like James and Albus, but they're insane when it comes to you, I guess at least I have older brothers, they just ask questions and pick on me but they don't try and protect me by making me lonely,” he said with a smile. ”At least it's a masquerade ball though,” he smiled, ”Then Molly can't snitch me out,” he smiled.
He took her hand carefully and turned to walk her out to the dance floor. ”Come on,” he told her, ”let us put on a show.” He was going to enjoy her dancing if that was the last thing he did.

Would you dance if i asked you to dance? would you run and never look back? would you cry if you saw me crying? and would you save my soul tonight?-----------------
She nodded her head in agreement with him. Tonight was all about having fun without having to dwell on other problems. That being said, she wasn't just going for forget about their conversation. She made a mental note of what he said – to talk to him about it at a later time. Hugo always had told her she was the best listener. If that had to be something she had to remind Colton of again, then she would remind him. She couldn't very well have him wallow around while she could do something to prevent it. Her smile brightened at the compliment, her face flushing slightly. “Yeah. I feel the same way.” And, she was being perfectly honest with him. There were days where one couldn't handle family – days where she needed someone's perspective she couldn't really look into. If she ever wanted an honest, outside opinion, she made sure to look for Colton and get his perspective on it. “I might go insane if I didn't have you.”
She batted her eyelashes at him with an innocent look making an appearance. It was the look that she often directed towards her father or her mother, depending on who was getting onto her for whatever it was that she did. “Of course not. Whatever gave you that idea?” She would have to be funny. And smart. Whoever it was that Lily set him up with, she had to be funny and smart. And pretty and interesting. She had to get along with all of them and when and how to make up an alibi on the spot. “Oh hush. I'm going to take that as permission to find you someone.” Merlin knew that no one else ever gave her the permission to do so. Briefly, she wondered who he would look good with. Who he wouldn't mind spending time with at Hogsmeade. “Dunno why anyone would get embarrassed. I always ask Hugo why he's so ashamed, but he never answers me.”
Louis was better about not getting as embarrassed, but still. The two Weasley cousins never, ever wanted to dance with her. Idly, Lily added this fact as yet another reason that she was so endeared to Colton. It would be hard to find him someone she approved because she was going to have very high standards. “You're siblings are a riot.” She stated with jealousy slipping lightly into her tone. “I wish all they'd do was ask questions. I mean, Merlin, not even my dad is that bad.” She rolled her eyes with a huff. The only thing that removed that slight frown was the fact that he was taking her out to the dance floor. She made sure to turn that smidgeon of a frown into a bright grin. She squeezed his hand, liking how his hand kind of fit in hers, and nodded. “I don't think she would. She's not that type of gal.” Listening to the beep of the music, she only had to pause a couple of seconds. Lily caught the tune pretty quickly and moved along with the beat.

Colton smiled as he held her tight and danced with her. She fit perfectly with him. No way in the world though could this ever become something more. Being in a relationship could potentially ruin everything that Lily and him did have. The two had an amazing friendship, one that could make the books. ”Beyond insane would be the truth though, that's where I'd be, might as well hit me with the worst memory charm in the world,” he told her sitting his head against hers.
”Searching is what you do, you find a relationship that you think will work, but one thing I know about you is that you work incredibly hard to do such a thing, and you'll make it perfect,” he whispered into her hear. She liked to play the set up game for people. But then again she was the one to do it. He knew that just about as well as she did. ”Dancing is beautiful and imagining it in my head makes it even better, dancing to non-existent music, maybe I should just grab Hugo in the corridors and dance with him,” he grinned, ”how do you think he'd react.” Dancing could be embarrassing especially if no one else was doing it. Colton just never got embarrassed but it was easy to do when you were a youngest sibling. Embarrassment came with the position in the family.
”My brother's are insane, at least Lya takes life a little bit more seriously,” he said with a laugh, ”and questions are annoying, why should I have to tell anyone what is going on in my life?” That was the problem with being the youngest, sure they were protective because he was a baby but he was picked on and then forced to tell some information that he didn't want to share. ”I could beat them up for you if you'd like, I'm quite clever with a wand, not that you're not,” he grinned. He honestly knew he could not win any sort of battle with James or Albus, but hey it could be worth a try. Maybe they'd get the hint that she wanted to be left alone when it came to her realtionships.
”That's good to hear,” he said about Molly. He held her hands tighter and danced more with her. Each step was the perfect one, and she was perfect to enjoy such a thing with. ”Thanks for coming with me,” he said softly.

Would you dance if i asked you to dance? would you run and never look back? would you cry if you saw me crying? and would you save my soul tonight?-----------------
She tilted her head, humming a little under her breath. She wasn't sure where, but she was pretty sure she had heard something about that. “Didn't that happen to someone supposedly famous?” Now that Lily thought about it, she might have heard something about that from her parents when she was younger. And, if that had been true, then she was sure that the article had come out about it in the Daily Prophet not too long ago. Either way, she couldn't help but be amused at the reference. She may not have seemed like it – what with being someone who didn't generally give off the air – but she loved whenever people referenced events like that. It always amused her when she realized she actually knew what was going on. “Bah – I'd visit you every day.”
She could feel her face burning a little brighter. It wasn't as if all she ever did was try to set up her brothers, cousins, and friends with other people. She wasn't that girl, but Lily did kind of have to admit that she did do it more often than others were probably comfortable. She always felt horrible when it didn't work out – because, really, how awful would you feel if you set someone up with one of your friends only to find out that it didn't work? - but she was always pleased when they did. “As if I would do anything less for you.” She giggled and reached up to pat his cheek. It was a little sad, especially because she was wearing heels, that he was still just a little taller than she was. That was great – she'd hate to be the tall one. Not because that sort of them was unattractive, but because it was always nice to wear heels and not have to worry about towering over someone. “Oh Merlin. He would kill you. Hugo isn't even the fighter, but he'd throw you down.”
And, for some reason, the idea of sweet Hugo punching Colton was both funny and horrifying at the same time. She wasn't sure if she wanted to burst out laughing at the thought, or constantly tell Colton to never, ever do that. Louis, she figured, was much more suited for fighting than the other parts of their little trio. Instead of chiding him, she squeezed the hand that was holding hers. “Hmm. To get to know what's going on in that wonderful head of yours? I know I wonder all the time.” She tried to wiggle her eyebrows at the notion, but all it did was move her mask on her face. If Hugo fighting Colton was a (horrifyingly) amusing concept, then the idea of one of her best friends fighting her older brothers was beyond words, period. As much as she loved Albus and James Potter, she knew that they weren't the type of people you messed with. Particularly because the only thing the two of them ever seemed to agree on was that Lily needed to be coddled. “I'd pay to see you try, love.”
She smiled beautifully at him, leaning forward in order to ensure they didn't bump into a neighboring couple dancing. She felt kinda awkward doing so, especially because he was so warm, but she had to remind herself that they were just friends and always would be (the best of) friends. “Thanks for asking me. Can't say I could picture myself with anyone better.” WORD: 525 Outfit: mask here Note: 3 million years later
