Leyshell was not a happy camper to say the least, against her wishes her father and mother had finally found someone’s family who had a child that wasn’t scared of her in the slightest. Though she supposed the family in question hadn’t told their child yet considering she was the Conner in school. Though she had known that the dinner was supposed to be tonight she growled at the idea of staying at the family manor instead she ran away to her private manor and changed the wards to block her parent’s entry. She knew she was too old to through a fit of this proportion but there was no way on earth she was doing this willingly. The fact she couldn’t find a loop hole in this legally binding contract pissed her off to now end, though children and such weren’t mentioned. Though there was something about murder….as if she would risk her freedom to kill such a person.
She knew the dinner was at a certain time but she would not be arriving with her parents, no she took her sweet time getting ready as she was opposed to the whole idea. She stepped out the shower and slipped into her dress and put her shoes on, making sure to take as much time as possible. Since she couldn’t apparate yet she order a house elf to pop her over to her house and from there she used the floo to reach her house, much to her dismay her parents were waiting for her. Sighing she waved her hand in defeat, they were obviously very serious about this whole thing. She usually got her way, her family was very wealthy so at least she knew the dude she would soon marry had to be also….they were soo living in her manor. Her mother apparated her to the front of her house and her eyes widened in surprise. The house was so beautiful but she wouldn’t comment on in. When she walked in she was greeted by the hostess and lead into a room.
She took her time just admiring the architecture of the house, she was an art freak through and through and the smallest amount of detail caught her attention. Which was she designed most of her manor, she had the money for it and it wasn’t that much…just a few tweaks to the design and structure and an added dojo for her practice. Though her manor had nothing on this, it was breath taking and she was wonder stuck, she hid it well though. Her hair for the moment was the brightest blue she could make it and her eyes were a light green. Her mother had told her multiple times to cut it out and stop morphing but as each second passed she changed the color.
She was finally lead to the dinning area only to fins Cameron sitting at the table waiting his patiently and conversing with his father. Her eyes narrowed, to hide her shocked expression. There was no freaking way this was happening, it had to be a joke, but she remembered how serious he was at school and the water park….it was too planned to be an elaborate prank. She sat down in front of him, in defeat this wasn’t even a negotiation meeting…everything had already been signed and decided…she needed a very strong glass of wine.

Cameron's family was wealthy he knew, but he made a special effort not to come across that way to others, not taking rich stuff to school nor having many possessions at all really. It was part of a carefully crafted image for him and one he made sure of whenever possible. Thus when his parents told him that he was about to meet the girl he was going to marry and didn't tell him the name he was annoyed. He had asked them to try and not just pick someone from Hogwarts, but he didn't think he had made much of an impression there. And now she was coming here tonight and he would have to show off his manners and everything else. Gah.
However irritated he might be at all the mystery, he knew his place was already spoken for. Though if he really objected hard, they might let him slip out of a contract if he found a good enough reason. But they both seemed fairly solidly working together against him. So he went and got a shower, cleaned up and got dressed in a decent suit. He prefer different and more exotic cuts, but this one Chinese one was more plain then his father liked and thus he decided to wear it to show his displeasure. The dragon moved, of course, as it was a wizarding one, but still it wasn't heavily decorated.
With much time to spare, he walked up the stairs and across the patio around the pool to the house knowing they wouldn't let him see whatever the big surprise was till they were there to watch his face. A roll of his eyes as he entered the house and headed upstairs past the living room. His parents had been travelers when younger and had fallen in love with the Mediterranean and had built their house entirely around what they loved about it so much. He thought it beautiful, but too much personally, though their walls had very slim amounts of art, mostly classic lines and a few well placed pieces. In that they were like their son in that the value of a building was the building itself more then what was in it.
Arriving at the dining room, he stood and looked out the window, trying to calm what few anxieties he had about this. marriage was a big step and he was of age. His parents had probably done the traditional thing and found someone under age for him, in hopes he would be firmly in control. As if he wanted to be totally dominating over some strip of a girl with no backbone probably. When his father entered, he took the seat next to the head of the table automatically being the only son and sat, looking his father in the face as he said "I don't like all this secrecy. I just want to make sure you know up front I'm annoyed about all this right now." "Just you mind your manners. It's a done deal, Cameron, and I won't have you embarrassing us with your odd notions. Your mother and I have done a lot to give you what you want. Well it's payback time, this is what we want."
Hearing footsteps he turned to see who was there and noticed his mother standing behind her chair having led them up and his eyes landed on-- LEYSHELL?!? He stood as was proper when a lady enters the room, but it was more his chair being shoved back because he stood in surprise, a stunned look towards her and then glaring at his father as the man gave him a calming glance. As the two sets of parents spoke greetings to each other, he looked at the table unable to believe his own parents would betray his one wish about whoever they chose...

Leyshell stated in carefully veiled horror at what she saw before, did they not know his grandfather was an auror, they weren’t exactly the lightest crayon in the box and she could feel the rage reach it’s point. Her hair went from blue to red to it’s normal color as she struggled to keep her emotions in check. Her father gave her a strict look as if to say don’t start ranting or anything equally embarrassing and she narrowed her eyes. While she didn’t have respect for her parents she knew her limits, and financial she wasn’t as secure alone as she was with her fathers help. She wouldn’t risk being thrown out the family and with the baby on the way it was possible. Though Cameron looked just as surprised as she was, which meant the water park wasn’t a set up of some sort. That calmed her down a bit, because she was going to be extremely angry if it somehow was.
She was the first to sit down only because she didn’t care to stand and hand out false pleasantries, they could all kick rocks and Cameron by default even though none of this was his fault. In a way she felt sorry for him, because she was well aware of why you would want your son married to someone younger and this ship wasn’t sailing that way at all. Her mother might have married for money but she didn’t care how rich someone was, if she didn’t like you she wasn’t going to pretend. She didn’t speak she was content to stare at her finger immaculate finger nails and pretend to examine them for dirt. She wasn’t as put off on the idea as before but she felt as if something needed to happen for her not to be against this or angry and she didn’t know what that was.
Her father was giving her knowing looks and she cleared her throat “Soo” she said with a shrug of her shoulders. They couldn’t expect her to be happy about something no one told her about. Why they waited till it was time for school she had no idea, it’s not like she could avoid him they were in the same house for crying out loud. Not to mention he was almost of age and she would be this year too, she was turning seventeen in February and had no desire to be married right out of school.
Her parents were trying to ruin her life that was for sure, she had to many projects going on and not enough time to make cover stories for why she was sneaking out of school in the middle of night. Though she supposed saying she was off to kill somebody seemed a lot more fun than saying Im going for a stroll…perhaps this whole thing could work out in her favor. She could have fun with this, and he wasn’t to terrible seeing as she went to school with him. That thought evaporated as quickly as it came, she snapped herself out of it and remembered everything she had wanted to do by herself. Sometimes she wondered if she was bipolar but the fact remained they should’ve given her a warning.

He was still standing he realized suddenly as everyone else sat down and he turned taking hold of his chair and pulled it over closer before he sat down, clearly glaring at his father as he did so. 'Oh yeah, pulling the everything we've done for you card like I will settle with that without a fight?' he thought, getting angrier and then turning his look on Leyshell without the glare. Sure it wasn't her fault unless she had mentioned him to her parents. Which didn't seem very likely. She might do a lot of things, but telling your parents their daughter was out sitting on the lap of a boy on a waterslide when they hadn't know about it raised all kinds of questions. No, this had to be a coincidence.
What he wanted to do was walk out, but manners required him to-- oh wait!
Standing again before he pulled his chair under he said quite clearly to her parents "If you will pardon us a minute, I think Leyshell and I need to speak before we eat and I'm sure you and my parents," he walked around the table and got her chair for her, holding out a hand for her to take as a proper lady would to exit the room with someone, "have so much to talk about with your plans. Won't be but a minute!" Holding her hand he walked rapidly to the door before either set of adults could say something and across the hall to the guest room steps and up them as he said softly "They can't hear us up here..."
He had worked so hard to keep signs of his family's wealth out of Hogwarts, to appear much less then he was for his own plans and they had just thrown that out the window. Were they so unconcerned about the ties he made now, the relationships he established that could pay off in ten years? Twenty? Nope, just throw all his plans out the window for their own! And surely she had her own things running, though he dared not wonder what those were. Leyshell might be hot and fun to tease with and such, but she would not have been his top choice for bedding for children either. And he knew his father; there had to be a child clause in there somewhere! He wished he had some idea of what her parents had negotiated for.
In the Moroccan styled bedroom for guests he dropped her hand and turned just inside the door saying rapidly "Look, I didn't know anything about this and I certainly didn't mention you to them from the other day! Did you happen to say anything about me? My one request to my father about all this was he pick someone from outside Hogwarts!" He turned and paced towards the bed and back, hands going behind him as he thought and then one hand came out in frustrated expression as he came closer to her. "This just blows all sorts of stuff out of the water, how dare he..." His gaze came up to hers to see how she felt about the whole situation, his expression still quite agitated.
"Do you know anything about this contract? Clauses? Restrictions?"

Leyshell was still having her own internal monologue when Cameron finally made an excuse for them to leave. She accepted the offered hand and followed him to somewhere she assumed the could talk in private. This was all wrong, she had just made some very important contact, secured herself in taking over her father’s business ventures and this happens. She snapped back to the conversation taking place in front of her and nodded, blinking slowly to take it all in.
Leyshell laughed humorlessly, the connection they had at the water park momentarily forgotten. She had been so carefree with him at the park because he wasn’t some wealthy pureblood snob but now her judgment was a bit clouded. “As if, do you think I wanted this, I had plans and none of them revolved around getting married or having snot nose little brats” her tone was cold and she crossed her arms over her chest. She didn’t care that he had nothing to do with it, she had to blame someone “Maybe they’re old friends or something I have no idea who my dad does business with he travels a lot and I rarely travel with them anymore.” she said in a offhanded manor. She was a bit surprise, so he had some stuff going on also.
“Look, I won’t ruin whatever plans you have going if you don’t ruin mine. I in no way want to mess up whatever you have going for you and I worked extremely hard to get where I’m at.” she was leaning against the door frame wondering if he would see that reasonable, because she enjoyed having her own manor for a reason. If he asked she could easily come up with some lie about being and artist, she was already selling some of her artwork.
“Yeah, it’s air tight we need to marry within three years of me graduating, at least one son and that has to be before we’re thirty. There’s a no murder clause in there but I think my mom and dad put that in there solely for me….don’t ask” She said the tips of her hair turning bright pink, she wasn’t to proud of her temper but it got things done. “Oh, of course there’s a fidelity clause, though I don’t need to remind you of my fan girl issues do it?” Even though it sounded like she had accepted it, it was only because she had other things to worry about, like trying to keep a hold of her plans. Besides not even the goblin she consulted with could find a loophole in the contract….which meant it had to have been written by one of them.

She reacted with anger and he nodded, able to let go of his a bit knowing he wasn't alone in this. "Good. I thought I was safe there. And maybe you're right and they already knew each other. I didn't even know I was meeting a girl till this afternoon so I was pretty floored." He grimaced. She seemed to take in he had plans running and in that he felt a bit of relief as he spoke. "I'm not going to mess with your plans. You can do whatever you want so long as I don't get dragged into stuff without warning. And I'd warn you about my business." he hadn't accepted it either, but it was better to hear some things could be under control.
Raising an eyebrow he stopped for a moment. "Murder clause? Huh, that's new. No, that's probably unique." he looked at her for a moment, thinking whatever she was doing he really didn't want to be in the know on. "Three years of graduation and a son before thirty is not a strict contract. At least that's good. Most want the first child within the first year of marriage." Setting his shoulder to the door way beside her he leaned, still frowning mostly but looking at her with a lowered voice. "Look Leyshell, nothing personal you are great and all that, but I wouldn't have picked anyone from Hogwarts."
Holding out a hand as he expressed his thoughts, his face lightened slightly as he spoke. "A good number of things I am running depend on people not knowing I have money or wealth. Long as we can keep that under wraps, I'm good with that. Right now I'm pretty p!ssed off but it's at my parents, not at you. And I'm not ready to be a father yet either," and he momentarily smirked, "though the sex part is nice. Surely we can work something out here. Do you speak Spanish did you say? Do your parents speak it at all?" That would be one thing, to speak in front of them and pass comments back and forth.
Then the fidelity comment clicked. "that fidelity clause doesn't start till the marriage itself, correct?" She might be saving herself for marriage but he was under no such constraints at the moment.

Leyshell still didn’t know if she wanted to trust to Cameron, she was good at seeing through people and he seemed like a decent person, but he wasn’t someone she would have wanted for a husband. Sure he had all the right the qualities that attracted her to him but that wasn’t what she wanted in a husband. She figured she pick up some gullible pureblood who had his father pull the string so much he didn’t know heads from tails. Instead she got stuck with him, though she supposed it wasn’t that bad and her anger was slowly receding. “Sounds like a plan and trust me, I won’t involve you unless I have no other choice.” She knew she was being a bit stand-offish but she had a feeling they would step on each other’s toes a lot before the night was through.
“Like I said, Martial arts and weaponry…my mom’s a hit witch, im sure you’re smart enough to connect the dots dear” She said amusement dancing in her eyes. Not that she would go through all the trouble of killing him….she would be the first one suspected and she had so much more she wanted to do with her life. “I never said it was strict I said it was air tight, no loop holes.” She rolled her eyes, she wouldn’t have picked anybody from Hogwarts either, she went to school with the dorks there and knew and manipulated a vast majority of them….she wanted something new. Which was probably another reason she got pissed about this whole thing, she didn’t need him around her and her recently acquired friends though maybe she could convince him to stray away from the light. She pushed that to the back of her mind for awhile and paid attention to the what he was saying.
“Oh, don’t worry im not the type to brag about having a wealthy husband, im independent as I can be at my age and proud. Not to mention I have no wish to be a mother so soon….we can address that issue in 10 years. Ill be almost twenty-seven then, perhaps ill be soften up to the idea that im stuck with you.” She that more to herself than to him, and she wasn’t trying to be mean about it, sometimes it just came out that way. It wasn’t her fault but she was cold and didn’t let people into her heart easily, all the other times she had pushed people away or gotten hurt. There was zero chance of this being a loving relationship….she was sure.
She laughed at the last part of his moment to speak, and she was sure she sounded half-crazed. “sorry darling, contract states I stay pure until the wedding night and I that’s a moral I intended to keep. Yes I speak Spanish and no my parents don‘t.” she said moving her hair out of her face she, though she should’ve been prepared for the next statement, it fully cemented her belief about wealthy pureblood males. Her voice was quiet almost a whisper “There’s no way in Dante’s inferno that you’re sleeping around while im stuck playing the perfect little fiancée.” She wouldn’t answer that question and she was sure he could figure out the threat hidden in

He nodded, knowing he'd have to be satisfied with that for now. "Good. I don't particularly want to give up my happenings either. Did it say anything about rings? Cause Father gave me a box earlier, I was wondering how we keep that part quiet." Her mention of training had him shaking his head before she finished. "Not what i meant, I was asking if there was a reason they thought you might need the clause in there. I only work with a wand, dear heart, curse counters and reverses are my interests. You can fight all you want, I'm not a warrior and I know it."
Cameron patted the ring box in his pocket, fairly sure there was something magic on it. Whether it was just to prevent her removing it or what he didn't know, but he was good at picking up on magic and while this one didn't feel dark to him, it did feel magic. Sighing when she said airtight, he muttered "Ah, I see. Seems our parents have been planning something for awhile then it sounds like, enough to work out things. that's not good for either of us." And knowing how long would make a big deal of difference. "See if you can find out how long this has been in the works later and drop me an owl. They may have other surprises it would be good to be prepared for... I assume you are willing to work together against them?"
He did feel a bit insulted at her 'stuck with him,' but other then giving her a look which was neither positive nor negative he didn't say anything. He saved it up for another time. "Ha, your choice. Certainly there are ways around that part, have been for centuries." He shook his head at her and raised a finger. "Perfect, I suggest we speak to each other in nothing but Spanish so we can compare notes the rest of the night. And if you need another break from them tell them you asked me for a tour." And then when she whispered he whispered back with a grin.
"Ah but my dear Leyshell, we just agreed not to interfere in each other's business and you aren't my fiancee till you have an engagement ring on, not some promise ring. I am still free and clear till you agree to getting married thus have no power over keeping me chaste. I have no wish to restrict myself into a situation where I will begin working to hurry this wedding up which you would most surely accomplish by trying to put a cork in it." And saying so he lifted his shoulder off the door frame as he stepped forward and slipped back through the door and the stairs, waiting for her at the bottom.

Leyshell raised an eyebrow about the rings, there were many types of rings none at all mentioned in the contract. So she assumed it was something they discussed outside the contract to keep her from reading it. Which seemed really ingenious….so it couldn’t have been her father behind the idea, so Cam’s father was probably the mastermind for this tad bit. Though she could be under estimating her father, from what people tell her, he’s a force to be reckoned with if you got on his bad side, which explains where Leyshell got it from.
She nodded she wasn’t sure how she liked this whole being bossed around thing but at least he had a plan. She could go along with it until she came up with a better one “Sure, sounds like a plan….a rushed one with a few kinks but a plan none the less.” Leyshell didn’t mean to come across as a snotty little rich girl but sometime she couldn’t help it with her attitude. Plus there was always some “reader” person who thought she was nothing beneath the surface after all she was a pretty hard chick to understand and everything she was hidden underneath years and years of pent up anger and hatred…and lying. “Yeah, it is my choice darling, things aren’t going to be easy for you, just a heads up and sure Spanish sounds plausible don’t be surprised if I through some French in there just for run.’ She hadn’t pegged him as the type to know French so it would be fun to see his reaction.
Leyshell was livid, she wasn’t sure if he understood or not but he had just subtly threatened to ruin everything she worked for. Though he was unaware that anyone she married would be brought into ‘her world’ and she highly doubt he could stomach half the things she saw or did. Leyshell for all she tired could never control her gift when she was angry, her eyes turned stormy grey and her hair a violent shade of red. It was a telltale sign that she was seconds away from flinging every dark curse she knew at you, but she knew she had to be calm. Walking down the stairs she stopped at the last step “whatever we had at the water park was fun and all, but don’t let the ditsy rich girl act fool you. This is a game you don’t want to play and I can see us married right after I graduate and invite all your little friends to the biggest most expensive wedding I can sucker our parents into paying for. I’ll find away to continue out my business, because I always find away to come out on top.” she didn’t bother waiting for a reply as she walked pasted him and back to where there parents were.

Of course not having worked with someone not willing to bend a little was a new thing for Cameron and his "see if you" didn't seem bossy to him, so he had no clue to Leyshell's irritation with him, assuming she was still reacting to the situation itself forced upon them by their parents. Thus he had no clue things were beginning a slow boil under the surface otherwise he would have phrased things more carefully. She was still too much of a puzzle to him and with his warning instincts about her still hanging around, he wasn't able to read her clear enough to get a warning. Shame as that would have made things easier for both of them in this short conversation. "Well it's not like we have much time to plan either. You think of stuff later, owl me. I'll probably be up late now."
He scowled, but not meaning it at her.
"I've never chosen the easy way, far too dull. But let me be clear so there's no confusion. There are some traditions I'm okay with, but I think that one is way past time to be retired. Modern times have proven is a waste of effort so like I said I respect you wanting to, but I don't follow that tradition." French. He shook his head. "Arabic and Mandarin here after the Spanish. Don't mind any words I use with that." There will certainly be a few curses in it this evening.
Cameron certainly didn't know that anything about his own sexual experience could have any part of her 'business" and would be rather annoyed if she had said it. So when she came down the steps, the red hair was rather a surprise. "Dif--" he started to say about it before she interrupted in sharp words. Ditzy? What the f*ck was she talking about? It was not a word which went in the same sentence with her for sure. And then she finished and his face surely showed his confusion about what she was talking about. As she walked off he said under his breath "¿Qué demonios estás ahora?"* After she walked on he followed at a distance, a frown on his face wondering what was up with this woman and why she acted so odd...
Being married to her was going to be a cast iron b-- witch.

Leyshell choose to ignore him, as she walked her way into the dinning room and sat down in her seat. She was past doing this cooperatively, there was no way this was going to work unless it worked. Her mind wasn’t entirely clear to think at the moment, perhaps she should spend more time trying to clear her mind and less time goofing off. Well she would have to schedule that between martial arts practice and weapon practice. Maybe when she went away to Hogwarts she could practice that in the RoR along with her wand work. She grew tired of the curriculum sometimes, and most people fell asleep during history of magic…perhaps that’s why the Wizarding world was forever repeating it. Sighing she pretended to be interested in whatever they were explaining to the two of them, but in all actuality she wanted to go to bed. That and she had a cellar full of wine calling her, she was only sixteen and already on her way to becoming and alcoholic.
”Yo no estoy siguiendo este” she said not in Cameron’s direction or anyone’s really she was just stating a fact. She just wanted to finish up and go home, pretty simple, her head was starting to hurt from emotion overload and her anger was slowly ebbing away which would bring her to the next step in the crazy emotional cycle she had…crying. She wouldn’t do that here so she pretended that instead of zoning out she was just silent with anger she didn’t react to anything that was, she would wait for Cameron to react and then to the exact opposite. Which was really funny if he stayed clamed or freaked out, but it showed how completely opposite the two were when you thought about it.
One thing Leyshell never felt was guilty, but she was starting to think maybe she had been a bit to harsh towards Cameron on the stairwell. He hadn’t known that she was seconds from blowing a gasket and they hadn’t necessarily had a crash course in reading each other, though she was pretty good at reading the opposite sex. Sighing she was seconds away from banging her head on the table when rings were mentioned….. “What kind of rings?” @shava4

Following her back into the dining room, he stopped in the doorway as she went for her chair and said to both sets of adults "I apologize for the interruption." Taking his seat again he did not look at Leyshell but at her parents attentively, noting their glances at their daughter waiting for a reaction to something as the dinner conversation turned to neutral topics, something the two sets of adults had apparently chosen while they were out. When he saw her attitude, he relented, waving the house elf over and whispering in her ear to keep Leyshell's glass refilled, but not to go past a bottle worth. He himself ignored his glass on purpose since one of them needed a clear head.
When she spoke he frowned slightly, noting her parents sharp glances at their daughter. "Es bueno, escucho. Es terriblemente embotado de todos modos."* Cameron spoke nearly nothing during the conversation, letting the adults carry the entire thing until her father mentioned maybe they should go ahead and do the rings. He was pulling out the ring box when she asked and he waited as his father said "Simply they are rings that mark like a promise ring that someone has you each under contract. You will wear them until the engagement so there will be no confusion on anyone else's part." He held up a piece of parchment which had all four parent's signatures on it. As her father nodded, his explained.
"This codicil to the contract agrees that as part of th legal contract you must wear these until that time. We spoke about it and decided that since it was likely you would pretend it didn't exist that rings to mark it would be necessary." Cameron opened the box and looked in at the rings. Pulling his out (clearly the larger one) and pushed the box over to her side so she could see what they had done. After examining his, though it was a nice ring, he set it down above his plate as if refusing to put it on. "You seem to have put a lot of thought into this. One wonders why you did. It appears as if none of you expect us to do the duty you have committed us to without our knowledge." He looked at his own parents first with a frown, then at hers who were watching her.
"I object to being treated as a child expected to misbehave. I have no knowledge of ever having given you an issue with my actions, father, and I met every goal you put before me. I find it hard to believe that Leyshell would feel any different..." he opened his hand as if inviting her to join him in refusing the ring business out of hand...
* It's all right, I'm listening. It's deadly dull anyway.

Leyshell knew she wasn’t being fair towards Cameron, and especially making him be the one following their parent’s non-sense. This was a golden opportunity to show her parents that she could handle situations like this like and adult and she was losing her self to her anger. She took a deep breathe staring at her glass because she was sure, looking anywhere else. Sighing she decided that no amount of temper tantrums would make this go away. Though her ears perked up when he said he was following it, she nodded in thanks. She knew she was in no shape to offer conversation, whether her parents saw that as her minding her manors was up to them.
When the rings were mentioned, She caught the box that was slid to her and blink at the beauty of the rings. Leyshell wasn’t entirely materialistic but she liked pretty things, and the rings were pretty. She picked up the ring and turned it over in her hands contemplating whether she wanted to chuck the ring. Sighing she placed the ring back in the box and rolled her eyes. She wasn’t going to protest for the reason everyone was thinking. “Selfish reasons, tell me im all for the rings, though that might be the childish side of me….and the spiteful. Since I know neither one of have a choice I guess im okay with it.”
Staring at the ring she closed the box, without putting the ring on. “They’re pretty and I love the reason you’re making us wear them, however im afraid I don’t want to be associated with him more than necessary, not to mention people wil expect us to be all lovey dovey….and well im not that starved for attention.” Leyshell wasn’t upset that they didn’t trust her. She was well passed expecting her parents to trust her, she didn’t trust them as far as she could throw them and she wanted to make sure there was no other enchantments on they weren’t mentioning. She knew some of their ulterior motive alarms might be going off, but really he couldn’t see this not benefiting them, she could wear gloves to hide her ring. As a matter of fact , the devils flair had an excellent selection of fingerless gloves.

Unreasonable, Inconsistent, Random, and emotional mess. These were all words to explain his impression of his contracted future wife and Cameron was not feeling good about this arrangement at all. Not only had she not explained herself upstairs, she was now remaining looking at the table which told him she couldn't handle this conversation either right now. He felt left alone to promote some face for both of them against their parents. And he had been so turned on by her at the waterpark! Why couldn't he get that girl back for a wife?!
While Cameron was being and feeling angry for being treated the way he was, Leysehll spoke after him for other reasons. Raising an eyebrow he listened and wondered what she was working on. Hearing her say she was okay about them made him speak up. "Legally I understand we don't have much choice in the matter, though I suspect if you had simply asked" both sets of parent's winced, "you'd find me at the least more amenable. I always listen to both sides and my parents can vouch for the fact I always have been both reasonable and dedicated to what I agree to do."
Slapping the ring on the table hard enough to make half the people at the table jump he exclaimed "Pretty or not these are an insult! They state to everyone we are not to be trusted not to lie and deceive others on what is happening! She may be fine with this, but I am not!" He stood suddenly, his chair slapping back hard enough to hit the floor backwards. While he was angry at their treatment and her actions earlier, half of this was for show, to put up some resistance to make sure they understood he was not going to go down without a fight. "But since you don't seem to think me worthy of being spoken to about the way you decide to commit my life, then for you I should hold up that end of what you expect of me!"
Saying so, he kicked the chair backwards against the wall and stormed out, going down the steps as if fuming, leaving the ring and box sitting on the table for them to decide what to do. He went down to first floor making sure to make plenty of noise and then stood around the corner at the bottom to see if anyone followed him. He knew his parents, they would hem and haw and make apologies and pretend to be shocked that their son never acted like this before, but inwardly they would feel guilty for he was right. In exchange for the freedom they let him have he had always been a dutiful son and hadn't argued against an arranged marriage either. He had been reasonable up till now.
It was time to get some of his own back.
Besides this 'future bride' they had brought him was no prize as he might have once thought. He had found Leyshell intriguing and fun, but she would sounding more like a knife turning in his side especially as she seemed unreasonable about his own activities before they were even forced to the worst. Turning to the House Elf who appeared around the corner he said "I'm returning to my room since I know they will ask you. If anyone wants me they can find me there." Walking to the back door, he shut three doors hard behind him, enough to be heard for a distance until he was outside and on the patio where he stopped, shoving his hands in his pockets and kicking the ground for a minute.
This just SUCKED.
Bad enough his parents didn't trust him and locked him into an unreasonable situation with no regard to his own meager requests, but she was already working against his long laid down plans and trying to force him to some unreasonably old and decrepit system based on virginity. Insane! Besides, the argument held no water; everyone knew that while women were expected to remain chaste, the men were expected to go and 'sew the oats' before marriage and learn what worked so there were not two inexperienced people in the marriage. That's why so many old marriages started when the 'husband' returned for the wedding from a trip to some place where he let off steam. getting angrier as the moments passed, Cameron removed his coat and rolled his sleeves up, annoyed at the ruination of yet another good evening of weather.

Leyshell’s eyes went wide as Cameron’s temper seemed to finally snap. For some reason this intrigued her, she hadn’t known how close to the edge he was and now that he had been pushed off it….she found herself……intrigued. She watched him storm out and smirked, that was so her signature moved but he didn’t have a manor to run off to so she felt at least somewhat bad about everything. In all honesty she was just being spiteful about the rings to rile him up, she knew her limits but she didn’t seem to care at that moment. She knew when she was angry at someone she tended to take her anger out on people who didn’t deserve it and Cameron sure didn’t. She could understand where he came from about everything….she was just selfish and that was the only way to describe her and the rings. She smiled and brushed off his parents apologies as she put both rings in the box and slipped it in the pocket of her dress. “You know, now that he’s not here to hear this…He’s right and you know” She left both sets of parents with shocked looks on their faces as she followed the noise. She watched him leave to somewhere she assumed was his room and stop short, what was she going to say to him?
Leyshell knew when she was wrong, but that didn’t mean she wanted to admit it. Not to mention she tried not to get into situations like this, a seventeen year old legal wizard who was angry and probably wand happy not something she wanted to deal with. However she contributed to this mess also, it was time for her to stop being petty…this wasn’t second year anymore and she was almost and adult now. Besides, she could see his problem with her wanting him to be chaste, they weren’t technically married and she just wanted him to be as miserable as she was. Though she hadn’t known he already was, Besides even she wasn’t that interesting just because she didn’t sleep around didn’t mean she didn’t know how to have fun. There was always way around a vow to stay a virgin. She walked slowly to where his elf said his room was. She stopped when she noticed him on the patio….apparently she had left faster than she thought.
She stood there against the door way her hair hung loosely down in golden blonde ringlets….a sign of regret. Not just for her words but her attitude, and her inability to take hold of her emotions in situations like this. She cleared her throat, not expecting him to turn around or even pay her any attention. “I think…no I know I owe you an apology, and im not good at this so im sorry for being spiteful and taking out my angry on you….it’s something I do frequently and it’s wrong. Though I usually leave and channel that anger through training but I couldn’t do that here….though that’s not an excuse. I’m not sure if it makes you feel any better probably not but I do agree with you…on everything.” After her apology she felt empty like she had no anger or anything.
“Anyways, I’m not crazy or anything…..I’m the same person from the water park most of them. I just have a lot of anger…..and walls and Im so not ready to be married. We can just drag this out for as long as possible and cover up the rings….I wont tell if you won’t” She took her ring out the box and set it down near him. She had said everything she had to say, pocketing her ring she started turned to walk away, most likely to explore the house before their parents finally put their foot down about the interruptions and storming off.
