Neville was busy upstairs at the leaky Cauldron in the indoor greenhouse near the bedroom he and his wife, the Cauldron's owner Hannah, shared. The couple and their children had of course called much of the upstairs their home for some time. Neville expected a day alone concentrating on his plants. The last thing he expected was to run into Ginny Weasley, though it would end up being a very welcomed surprise. Neville and Ginny were very good friends at Hogwarts. In fact, he had taken her to the Yule Ball his Fourth Year and her Third. They hung out often and even fought side-by-side at parts of the Battle of Hogwarts. It was truly a strong friendship that lasted to this day. And such a great day got to a bit of a rough start when he ran downstairs to grab a cold soda from the bar, only to stumble and fall into the dining area of the Cauldron. He narrowly missed colliding with a waitress passing by with a tray of pie, but scared her enough to make her drop it on his head. "Why is it always me?" said Neville, reciting a line he had said often. GINEVRA MOLLY POTTER

Ginny Potter had a few reasons for stopping into the Leaky Cauldron. Though, she was hesitant. This had been the first time she had been by since the attack on her son. And while Ginny knew the attack hadn't taken place inside the pub itself, she was still unsure what kind of feelings she would have coming inside. She also wanted to stop by and thank.Hannah for giving Sarah the job as a bartender. Sarah had just recently told Ginny and the family about her secret, though Ginny had known secretly since Sarah had been born. The Finnigans wanted to.make sure Ginny knew. Sarah spent a lot of time at her house over the years with Jamand the gang.
It seemed Ginny had entered at just the right time. She was able to watch, from the door way as she stepped inside. Neville, who was now on the ground with pie on his head, had always been one of Ginnys best friends. She even fancied him a bit when he had asked her to the ball. But it never stuck. "Oh Neville." Ginny gasped and ran over to the bar, dropping her purse and.grabbing a towel to help clean the pie off of him. "At it again I see. I thought you would have learned." She teased him and whiped at his ear with the towel.

Neville perked up a bit when he turned to see Ginny had come to visit. "Ginny!" he said. "How are you?" He then looked up with she said he was at it again. "Oh yeah... that. Been meaning to get that step repaired. The pie being passed was just a nasty coincidence." He smiled when she helped him by cleaning him off with the towel. "Thanks, Ginny."He rose and helped her to her feet as well. Neville was clumsy, but still quite the gentleman. "How are you?" he repeated, not realizing he had asked the question twice. "How are Harry and the kids?" Neville was not present the night Ginny's oldest son was attacked. He was off at Hogwarts working with the Herbology Professor on a project the two were doing for the Herbology Club. He felt terrible for not being there. Neville was still the courageous fighter he was at the Battle of Hogwarts, and could have possibly have prevented James from getting hurt. GINEVRA MOLLY POTTER

Ginny disn't blame Neville for her sons attack. She didn't blame him, or Hannah, or the bartender, or even the place itself. She knew there was nothing that anyone could have done to stop it. But that didn't make it any eaiser to be around the location. "Well, I think this is better than half of the other things that have happened to you." Ginny smiled and accepted his help back up into her feet. While Neville had always been clumsy, Ginny had growb used to it. "Everyone's fine. The kids... well... they're being children to say the least." She admitted and rolled her eyes. Her sons were always fighting and disowning each other and it always upset Ginny to watch. She had always loved her brothers. How could her sons find so much to fight about? "How are you and Hannah and the kids? How's buisness?" She handed the towel to a waiter who passed by.

Neville had to agree with Ginny. Tripping and taking a pie to the head paled in comparison to the number of things that happened to him back at Hogwarts alone, not to mention several incidents since then. "Yes... it's nothing really," he said, smiling back. "Just a case of being so busy in the greenhouse that I tend to forgot about other matters at time." He looked over at the step. "Gonna get you fixed though... first thing on my list." He then turned back to Ginny, still blushing a bit in embarrassment. He knew he didn't have to around Ginny, but still... it was Neville. "Um... join me for a soda?"He listened to Ginny speak of her kids and was about to sit down when he remembered to step over and pull out Ginny's chair for her. "I suppose not all siblings can't get along," he said before seating himself after seeing Ginny was seated. "Jasper was always closer to his mum while Helena was close to me. And they're fine I suppose. Jasper is doing well on the Pitch and Helena..." He then sighed. He needed to tell someone, and Ginny was a close friend. "Well... Helena quit Herbology. Still hurts a bit, though I suppose she needs to follow her own path."GINEVRA MOLLY POTTER

"Yeah, I would love to join you." Ginny agreed and allowed her good friend to get her seated with him. The leaky culdron had always been a familiar place. She had spent a lot of time here throughout her life and while it hadn't changed much, it did feel oddly different. "She quit Herbology? Oh goodness Neville I'm sorry to hear that! I know how importabt it is to you. It would be like if one of my boys quit Quidditch." Besides being brothers, Quidditch seemed to be the only thing that her two sons had in common anymore. And they would probably use it to fight as well. "I'm sure the kids will find their way soon enough. Just remember how much trouble we had to go through to find our way." She sighed. She had hoped that her kids wouldn't have to deal with war as they had, but it seemed like that would have been to good to be true.

Neville sighed again and nodded about his daughter quitting Herbology. Ginny made an interesting comparison regarding her sons not playing Quidditch. A Potter not playing Quidditch would be an odd thing indeed. "She joined Dumbledore's Army though," he said. "I'm proud of her. A bit nervous, but proud. Your son's leading it, isn't he? Albus?" Neville knew her oldest son James did the year before, but had only recently heard that Albus was. He hoped that they didn't have to face the dangers he, Ginny, and the others did. He still had nightmares of that night in the Hall of Prophecies. Neville ordered his soda and thought of the work he was just doing upstairs. He beamed a bit at Ginny. "Would you like to see the greenhouse?" he asked. " I've been growing a fresh batch of Puffapods. There's a bit of a troll problem in the mountains near Hogwarts and I've been growing them to help fend them off from the villages there."GINEVRA MOLLY POTTER

Harry had lead thr Army. James had lead the army and now it was Albus' turn to be the one in charge. As proud as Ginny was of both of her boys, she had to wonder if they got their fathers talent for trouble. She didn't want them to go looking for trouble. She didn't want them to try to prove that they were the son of the famous Harry Potter. And she worried even more that Lilly would want to take over next. Ginny knew Lilly was a lot like herself: strong, independent, fully able to take care of herself. But Lilly was the baby. Ginny couldn't not worry. "Yeah, Albus has taken over. It seems he's doing well. James has joined the order. Sarah too. You've got yourself a good bartender there. Thanks for giving her the job by the way, I know Seamus appreciates it." Ginny said. Ginny always loved Neville's talent for plants. "Yeah, I would love to see your greenhouse. I can only imagine how impressive it is." She agreed.

Neville smiled about giving Sarah the job. While Hannah usually made the hiring decisions, Neville did put in a good word for Sarah given his friendship with Seamus and his family. "Oh, it was nothing," he said. "Sarah has a good head on her shoulders. She's been a great employee. And that's good to hear about James. I hope to see your children again soon, along with Harry of course." Neville did miss Harry a great deal, not because he was the great Harry Potter, but simply because he, like Ginny, was one of Neville's best friends. Neville beamed a bit when Ginny said she wanted to see the greenhouse. He loved showing off his work, especially to friends. "That's wonderful!" he said. He then blushed for getting over-excited. "Er... I mean when we finish our sodas, I'll take you up there. I have some projects I'm taking to Hogwarts for the Herbology Club as well."Neville then realized he was going on about himself a bit much and blushed again. "So how has Quidditch been?" he said. "I hear your team is having quite the season."GINEVRA MOLLY POTTER

Ginny was glad to hear that Sarah was working out. Seamus had always been a good, loyal friend to Harry and since they haf had children, she and Lavender had become friends as well. Ginny had inherited her mothers habbit of mothering children who weren't hera and took it upon herself to care deeply for all of her friends and families children just as she would if they were her own. "We should see about getting everyone together." She insisted. "Some place other than order meetings. She would love a chance to catch up with Hannah and Lavender and Hermione and everyone else in a none work environment.
"I'm finished." Ginny said shortly after reguarding her soda. Shr was excited to see Neville's greenhouse and the plants he had for students. Ginny had been interested in Herbology as well during school, but not so much as Neville, of course. When he brought up Quidditch she smiled and nodded. "It's nice. We've been doing pretty well. But I think this will be my last season. I'm not as young as i used to be." She said.

Neville smiled about getting together with old friends. He had missed them all so much. They were like family to him. "We could have it right here at the Leaky..." Neville then stopped. He recalled the incident with James again. Perhaps James and others would rather not meet here. "Perhaps at the Three Broomsticks. What with the grand times we had there."
When Ginny finished her soda, Neville rose and seemed quite anxious to show off his work. As they walked, he frowned as Ginny said she was thinking of retiring. But he understood of course. "Well, one cannot say that you didn't put some great years in," he said . "I've always enjoyed watching you play... all the way back at Hogwarts." He gave a small smile. "What are you thinking about doing afterward?"Neville opened the door to the greenhouse. "Here we are... and oh, avoid the small room on the right," he said. "Carnivorous plants in there." He then motioned to a table. "Here's the Puffapods I spoke of. Lovely, aren't they, but trolls can't stand them."GINEVRA MOLLY POTTER

Ginny liked the idea of a large get together with all of their old friends from school. She knew that it would be hard to plan though. Everyone worked and everyone had children, not to mention that getting a ton of Order members together under one roof was as good as a death wish. She remembered what had happened at her brother Bill's wedding. Death Eaters had burst in looking for her Husband and that had been the last time that she had seen him in 9 long, dreadful months. Of course, at the time they weren't married, but Ginny had always loved him. "It's a lovely idea. And it would be nice to have it here. I would just have to run it past everyone." She said.
"I'll probably make the final step and turn into my mother." Ginny smirked. She had been noticing lately that she had been getting more and more like her own mother as she aged. She was baking almost every day already and she didn't even have any children to feed at home. She was fighting for the lives of each and every one of her children, even the ones she hadn't given birth to. Once she saw the greenhouse, she smiled. "Neville, this is impressive. Even more so than Madam Sprouts was at Hogwarts." she said and looked around, extremely impressed.

Neville was happy that Ginny felt it would be nice to have it in his home, despite the past incidents. "I'll help spread the word," he said with his usual over-excitement. "I still speak to some of the old mates a good bit. This will be wicked!" Neville still used that word. Neville smiled about Ginny becoming like her mother. "Well that's not so bad, is it?" she said. " I mean, we are talking about Molly Weasley, one of the finest witches who ever lived if you ask me. And you're other one, Ginny. I know your mum is quite proud of you." Neville owed Molly a debt that could never be repaid. The woman vanquished Bellatrix LeStrange, the dark soul responsible for taking his parents away from him. True, Neville wished he could have avenged them by killing Bellatrix, but he felt justified when he killed Nagini, which led to the end of Voldemort, the one who orchestrated the demise of the Longbottoms and countless others. Neville smiled proudly when Ginny complimented his greenhouse, but was also his usual humble self. "Oh, it's nothing really," he said. "But thank you, Ginny. I do aid Professor Detterding at the greenhouses at Hogwarts a good bit now. I miss teaching there, but the work I do here is nice."GINEVRA MOLLY POTTER

Ginny knew that Neville was thankful to her mother. Ginny was as well. When she was just a girl, Ginny had taken her mother for granted. Yes, of course she loved her mother and always told her mother that she loved her. But she was under an impression that she would always be around. That Ginny would always have her mother there. It wasn't until the war that she realized that her mother was just another human just as she and everyone else were. She was venerable to death and came very close when she pushed her daughter out of the way and used an unforgivable curse on Bellatrix LaStrange. "My mum is a great woman. She always has been. I'm quite proud to be her daughter." She nodded with a smile and patted Neville's back gently knowing that he was thankful to her mum for almost the same reason that she was.
"I wish you could have taught at Hogwarts more." Ginny admitted when he said that he missed teaching there sometimes. "My children loved having you as their teacher. I think it was a lot like how much we all loved having Hagrid teach us. It made a subject that they weren't so interested in a lot more interesting having a friend teach it to them. And they always got such nice marks." She sighed. James had done well in school. Albus wasn't doing badly and Lilly may be turning into a smaller version of herself for all she knew. She rarely spoke to her children during the school year.

Neville just smiled and nodded as Ginny patted him on the shoulder. There was no more needed to be said about why he appreciated Molly. He was so honored to still be able to see the grand woman though, and of course her daughter, one of his very best friends. Neville blushed a bit when Ginny spoke highly of his days teaching at Hogwarts. Neville humbly felt he did okay at best when he taught, and that Professor Detterding had done quite well in his place. "I'm not Hagrid, that's for sure," he said. "But I appreciate it, Ginny, I really do. I enjoyed teaching your children, and of course your brothers' children. And they deserved those good marks, they did. Always a brilliant lot, you Potters and Weasleys."It then sunk in- how Neville no longer taught, and how Ginny was planning to retire. Neville slowly sat down in a chair and looked at his friend. "Where has the time gone?" he asked. "Seems like just yesterday, we were all sitting in the Great Hall, watching your mum take the mickey out of Ron with a Howler because he and Harry stole the family car."GINEVRA MOLLY POTTER
