She is everything to me The unrequited dream A song that no one sings The unattainable, she's a myth that I have to believe in All I need to make it real is one more reason I don't know what to do, I don't know what to do when she makes me sad.
Liam was sure that he was being tested, he didn't have a problem with her being this close before. He was past teenage eagerness, he prided himself in being able to control himself around her. One of the only times he ever lost control with her -when he wasn't angry- was when he stole her first kiss. If he was being honest with himself, he didn't actually steal it, it was giving up willing. He loved the way she gave into him so easily, and yet he wanted more so much more than he could have that moment....at any moment. Why the hell did she have to cry so much, it really bugged him that she couldn't stop. He didn't even know where to begin to comfort her. Didn't she knew that she was safe there with him? He wouldn't let anyone take her away from him, not again...not now...not ever. " Pfft, like I'd let you go further than work or Marcy's house" Liam said snorting. Okay maybe that could be taken in a wrong way, but he wasn't letting her out his sight. The last time he did that she vanished for a year. Logically he knew that constantly looking over his shoulders and waiting for everything to catch up to him was no way to live, it was the only way he knew how to live. There was so many things he had to factor in that he couldn't possibly deal with it all at the same time. It frustrated him how easily he was ready to put aside his troubles to help August with hers. He wasn't that type of person, and this was starting to look to much like a fairy tale to him. He wasn't fit to fill the role of a savior, he was the villain and he would always be the villain no matter what. She had to know that from the moment they met he would only be able to play the villain. He could only be the lonely boy who was born to be the bad guy, he was broken way before she was. "Of course you did, I'm awesome...how could you not" He tried to smile, but it came off as a smirk. He couldn't admit that he missed her, that shed tears when she died. How many times had he visited her grave to just vent and leave flowers? He would never let her know how much of weakness she was to him. It wasn't because he felt like it would just make everything a reality because he knew that everyone knew. However telling her would be the biggest blasphemy because he couldn't take it back, he would feel twice as bad when he hurt her. He knew you didn't hurt the person you cared for but all he would ever do is hurt her, maybe not physically....maybe but emotionally...he wasn't the right person to ever get involved with. He was so tired of being okay, of keeping it together when it was obvious he was falling apart. Everything was getting suffocating and he just wanted her. On the other hand he was glad she died without truly giving herself to anybody. It a weird twist if he couldn't have her type of way he got satisfaction out of it. Still his thoughts were a lost cause when she pressed her lips to his, he lost the small thread of control that kept his hands to himself. It was easy to take control of the kiss, he didn't want to pull away until they were both in need of oxygen. Moving so she was pressed between him and the couch he knew that they were in no position to let hormones get the best of them but he didn't care. When oxygen was an actual necessity, he kissed his way to her neck. He knew they couldn't do what he wanted but he would at least mark her as his. The fact that he might be to lost in his attempt to keep his composure was lost on him.

This heart of mine whispers That I'm not done with what I call the past
Maybe she let out the smallest laugh at his words - a response that just came as a natural reaction. His words barely sinking in, otherwise maybe she might have felt something besides comfort - after all was she ready to find herself in a cage again? But Liam wasn't a cage, he would never actually do that to her, his were words of protection, words of a man who wasn't ready to watch her fall from his life again. But she could think on it all later.
She didn't fight him, she let herself meld against him as he pressed her into the couch. Maybe she fought a little for control of the kiss, but she was too lost in the heat of his mouth to be bothered with actually knowing who was kissing who. She could feel the way his hands slid up her sides and held her in place, the way his body fit perfectly against her's in such a way that she could feel each movement - each breath that was escaping him. In that moment August knew she needed him more than she needed air and even when her lungs were screaming she didn't want to break apart. But soon she felt the soft brushing of his lips against her skin followed by his teeth biting down in a manner that made her gasp each breath as her hands slipped up under his shirt, her fingers digging into his holder blades.
A hazy bliss, that was what this moment was. Something so much more than a dream and yet still there was that feeling that it was not quite reality. No matter the number of times she gasped and whimpered her name was she felt his kisses along her neck. No matter the way she could feel his skin breaking under her nails as she dragged them down his firm back. Reality had yet to completely hit - and she almsot hoped it would not.
Dante was uneasy. He didn't like this, not one bit. They all had been there after Liam found out the girl was dead, they all watched as he spiraled downward into a place none of them had expected him to go. She didn't just get to come back, that wasn't how these things worked. She was dead. Dante found himself pacing muttered incoherent mixture of Italian and Greek to himself - a habit his father had always blamed on his mother - before he remembered Marcy and Apollin. Looking up he glanced at the woman and his daughter - Marcy never was good with emotions, it was one thing he liked about her she didn't let them get in the way but still something on her face - they'd seen a ghost, her friend, Liam's....whatever she was.
<"Take Apollin to the studio, work on those spin things or whatever, I don't give a - care. I'm going to get Preston and we're going to get to the bottom of this. And you - Listen to Marcy.>"
Dante's Greek was strained, spoke through gritted teeth. He tried to hold his temper back in front of Apollin but this....this was something else. There were only a few options that were plausible for how August could have been in his shop early - none of which would fair well for her or whom ever she actually was. Maybe it was still the guilt for the damage he had caused Liam himself, or maybe it was his unwillingness to admit he worried about the other man who he saw as a brother - that he actually cared. He didn't bother saying he would come back soon, after all who knew how long this could actually take.
He flipped the sign on his shop and locked it up, waiting for Marcy to take his daughter before appearting outside Preston's apartment. Since the little incident of Liam seeing far more of Preston's girlfriend than any of them ever should have Dante had decided to be the wiser and never enter with out warning. A faint sound of a running shower through the door made Dante slap a hand to his face. Awesome - just awesome. Preston was going to murder him for this.
Dante entered the apartment after knocking - though he was positive that Preston was far to occupied to even hear there there was a knock. He didn't venture far in though, no Dante didn't have a death wish - or more of one. He called out for one of Preston's elves and ordered it to tell him that he was there and that it was about Liam and highly important. No amount of time between sending the elf and hearing the water turn off was enough to prepare for the impending rather of Preston Sherwood - of course there was a faint hope that maybe he was rescuing him from some horrible fate that was in the shower, but Dante knew better. His only true hope was that Preston would at least hear him out before shooting him for his timing.
When Preston finally did come out to meet him Dante was relived he was alone - of course Dante knew he wasn't allowed near the girl not after the stunt he pulled, which was more than understandable. Still Preston had that look in his eyes that was enough to make the older man uncomfortable, he knew he was on borrowed time.
"Its Liam. He was at my shop earlier, but he wasn't alone - He had Augustine with him."
Dante doubted he needed to explain much more. Any other girl coming back from the dead and Liam would have had her dead before her could have even opened her moth to explain how and why. But Augustine had never just been another girl to Liam - Dante had known long before the girl had wandered into his tattoo shop alone to get the one tattoo he had regretted telling Liam about after her death.
"He's alone with her."
If she was a creature Dante doubted Liam could bring himself to do what he had to do. If she was an assassin, well how was Liam ever going to be able to kill someone if they wore her face? And if she was her, really her - alive and breathing....well Dante was almost sure that was going to be the worst option to deal with considering how crazy Liam had gone after losing her - it was easiest for everyone if she remained dead.

She is everything to me The unrequited dream A song that no one sings The unattainable, she's a myth that I have to believe in All I need to make it real is one more reason I don't know what to do, I don't know what to do when she makes me sad.
Liam was pretty sure that the rational thing to do here was tell Dante what had happened. That he should stop what he was doing and make sure Dante didn't raise the red flag, but he wasn't being rational. He was somewhere between living the very fantasy he'd been having for the past year and climbing higher and higher. When he actually woke up from the dream he was positive he was having, he'd be dead before hit the ground. Perhaps this wasn't a dream, perhaps when he pulled her closer and maybe bit down a little to hard, he was actually hearing HIS August whimper. Then again maybe he wasn't, even though he knew that there was no way his life could have something okay in it.....he couldn't bring himself to realize that it was a trap. Maybe not a you'll be dead by morning trap but a trap none the less. He was compromised and with the very girl who had wrecked his heart and drove him off the deep end last year.
Preston was pretty sure his life was at one of those calm before the storm stand stills. The ones you only see in old war movies where each side allows the other to gather their dead and heal the wounded. Only Preston had his own version healing, one which involved pressing his very hot pregnant girlfriend against the shower wall. Of course all good things must come to an end -even for the boss- and he was interrupted by a very nervous elf. Logically he knew that Taffy was just doing her job, but in a moment of frustration he shot at the poor creature. Missing it of course because what good was a dead house elf? Sighing he told the elf that he'd be out in a minute and unfortunately stepped out the shower. Summoning his things he quickly got dressed, he was pretty sure that he didn't want anything to do with Dante right now. What was worse was that the idiot interrupted his shower time, even if his shower time was spent....not doing shower things it was the principle of it all. Kissing Bryony one last time before promising to make it up to her when he got back he walked towards where his employee was waiting. It was funny how Dante had went from an older brother to an employee in a matter of days...or was it weeks? Everything was so hectic that everything seemed like an incredibly long blur. He had his gun aimed at Dante before the man had a chance to even talk "Pretty sure it's obvious I don't want you at my house...especially with her here considering recent events." He really did try and be a rational leader, he tried to make the right choices and not loose the very, very, very short temper he had. Considering the fact that he was trying to curb his violent tendencies due to being with Bryony he was not good at keeping his anger in check. It was all for a good cause of course, he didn’t want to ruin his chance at having a family, but at the same time....he wasn't equipped to deal with all this aggravation. "Augustine?!? And you just let him leave with her...alone?? For Merlin's sake, why me??" He sighed and grabbed onto Dante's arm before apparating the whole time muttering under his breath about annoying big brothers and how they needed to let him have peaceful showers. How hard was it to kill a freaking vampire or whatever the hell she was. When Liam's living room came into focus he palmed his face and growled at the blue-eyed idiot beside him. He heard the rip of fabric and saw the two pieces get thrown, his eyes narrowing with each passing moment. Finally he had enough when Liam seemed to not notice them and content with continuing his fun.
Liam was weighing the pros and cons of ripping August's shirt off and carefully removing it. On the plus side the shirt was off and the unmarked skin was much more visible, on the down side he had to be patient enough to actually take the shirt off with care. When he was sure there was no skin on her neck that he left unmarked he "carefully" ripped the girl's shirt off to continue on his quest to cover her in his marks. Liam while not the most serious person was a very determined and focused man when given a task to complete. Which was why he didn't register the wards telling him that he had visitors. He was just about to unbutton her pants...with his teeth when he heard a cough. Grabbing his gun from beneath the pillow he pointed it at the intruders, standing up from what was probably something akin to heaven. Actually it pretty much was, seeing as Liam wasn't the type of person to ever see what the inside of such a place would look like. "Please tell me you didn't just interrupt me for nonsense." It took him two seconds to realize that August didn't have a shirt on and then another two for him to take his off and hand it to her. Which considering he didn't throw...or toss it should've been a give away that he wasn't in his right mind at that moment. He wanted to believe that Dante had a very good reason for doing what he did. Hell he knew that Dante had a very good reason for interrupting whatever it was that he was doing, but he had went so long thinking that would never happen again. He had her in his arms and whimpering....they couldn't just come and ruin that...he didn't want to face the possibility of them trying to kill her. Didn’t they see he couldn't choose between two parts of the family he had created in his head. "There's a logical explaintion for this and you have no idea how much of a mood killer this is for me"
