Ben had a good life. He had a good life prior to Hogwarts, at Hogwarts, and after Hogwarts. He couldn't complain and couldn't ask for anything more than what he had- a wonderful family, wonderful friend, and a wonderful job. And being a kind-hearted and genuine person, one would say he deserved it all.
Sadly, even good people with good lives experienced turns for the worse.
It began as a good night. Ben had just finished tutoring a seven year old in a small wizarding village near London. He loved working with children and knew he had found the perfect job. It paid his bills as well as he was in high demand because of his teaching methods and patience with kids.
His job for the night was not only rewarding with galleons, but fresh-baked pumpkin bread as well. He bid the boy and his mother farewell, thanking the latter for baking the bread. He then headed back toward his own home, which was a short trip through the woods. Being wise, he stuck to the trail as always. He had made the same walk many times over and thought little of doing so at night. At the moment, the appearance of a full moon above mattered little to him either. Strolling, he whistled a merry little tune.

Millie had been a werewolf since her first year at Hogwarts. And since the night that she had become one, she had been learning how to control it. That had been seven years ago. Now, she liked to think of herself as somewhat of an expert… well, at least she knew how to control herself. She could decide when she wanted to change and she knew what emotions triggered the claws to come out and made her eyes glow that oh so familiar golden color. It was rare that they were ever a different color. However, on nights like tonight, things were different. Millie couldn’t control changing during a full moon. No werewolf could. So, whenever the moon was high and bright in the sky once a month, the claws came out and the fangs grew into her smile. Unlike her male counterparts, she didn’t grow hair all over her face. But, that, she didn’t mind.
Why Millie had left her Alpha, she had no idea. It was stupid for any werewolf to leave their Alpha and their pack during a full moon if they could get away with it. Millie wasn’t ever really one to follow rules though. She liked to make rules, and enforce them to her pups. She didn’t need to follow them. So, she walked away from the pack and into a nearby clump of forestry that she knew all too well. There was a set of trails that made their way through the trees. She liked to walk along them alone at night. But that wasn’t her plan for tonight. She wasn’t sure what her plan was for tonight. All she knew was that something in those trees were calling to her. Something strong. And she had to be there.
Millie froze when she heard the whistle bustle through the trees. She knew that voice. She had known that voice since she was a first year, even before she was a werewolf. He had known her when she was a human. And, as far as he knew, she was just a human. However, with her wolf instincts and weird almost lust for blood; she knew that there was no way that she could leave him alone. She was happy at first that she didn’t look too different in werewolf form than she did with the claws retracted, it would be easy to manipulate him this way, if she chose to go that route. She walked up to him silently, stopping behind him and reaching her arm out to tap him on the shoulder, without saying a word.

Ben certainly didn't expect to see a familiar face from his school days. Heck, he didn't expect to see anyone in the woods that time of night. So when he felt a hand tap him on the shoulder, he gasped and almost screamed, but stopped himself from doing the later. Slowly he turned around, hoping he wouldn't encounter some robber... or worse a dark wizard. No... there in front of him was... Millie Lahey? Millie was a close friend from Hogwarts and a girl he cared a great deal about. He had also fallen for her as time went on at school, but sadly nothing came of it outside of a friendship, and after graduation he had lost track of her. Granted, she looked a bit different from when he last saw her, and slightly oddly different, but sure enough it was her. He formed a smile and went to hug her.
"Millie!" he chuckled. "Of all the places to run into you." He then drew back from the hug and smiled again. "It's great to see you though. You... you look as beautiful as always." She did look beautiful, but it was a different type of beauty than before. It almost seemed... wild... untamed.

Millie had never changed a human to a werewolf before. She had killed a handful in the past seven years, but never had she allowed them to go through the process of actually changing. That was all about to change tonight. She knew it the moment she saw Ben. Ben had meant so much to her for so long, and while she knew (due to her werewolf sense and ability to hear anything from a distance) that he had had feelings for her while they were in school, but she never allowed herself to return the feelings, and he had never made them public anyway. She loved him, that was for sure, but she wasn’t sure what type of love that it was. And right now, standing under the guidance of the full moon, she didn’t care. It didn’t matter what type of love that she felt for the human. He wouldn’t be human for very much longer. He wrapped his arms around her and she made no move. She stood still with her closed mouth smirk and her bright, golden eyes. He had called her beautiful, which, she knew that she was, being a werewolf under the full moon gave her move confidence and made her vanity even worse than it was under normal circumstances. However, once he finished speaking, she put her hand gently on his bicep at first, kind of liking the way that I felt. Then, she tightened her grasp just enough for her to ensure that he wouldn’t be going anywhere. She pulled him close to her and her smirk grew bigger as their bodies pressed together. Her fangs were aching and she wanted to bite him, however, the slow, agonizing wait almost made it worth more.

What happened next was very odd. Millie began to act just as strangely as her beauty now was. She didn't react to the huge, and said nothing in response to the compliment or any other part of the greeting. At first, Ben thought she might have been bitter for all those years that they had a chance to be together, but never took it. Perhaps... some dark magic user had cursed her and made her a different person, which could have explained the wildness of her looks.
But then... things got even stranger. Millie took hold of him, gently at first, then gripped him to the point that it was almost painful. She then gave him a wicked, yet intriguing smirk that made his blood run hot. It only ran hotter when she pulled him close, causing his face to blush red.
"Well... looks like you're happy to see me too," chuckled Ben nervously. "You don't have to grip so hard. I'm... I'm not going anywhere. I promise." He then proved it by putting his hands on her waist. This was sudden, that was for sure, but that didn't mean Ben didn't like it. He knew at that moment he still loved Millie Lahey very much.

Millie didn’t feel his hands on her; she couldn’t feel any part of her body but her teeth. Her canines were driving her crazy and she knew the curse was waiting right there, ready to be spread as soon as she got her teeth through his flesh. Though, she did admire how well he was taking this, and she couldn’t help but awe at his innocence, not realizing that his life was about to change forever. She didn’t know how he would feel after. She didn’t know if he would be thankful or if he would feel cursed. She had never felt cursed. She loved the advantages and the edge. She even loved the utter lack of control she had under the full moon. The moon was her mistress and she loved it as much as she loved her Alpha: the only person she was truly devoted too.
She nuzzled his neck with her lips before she moved her mouth over to his shoulder, a prime spot. Close enough to the heart for the venom to take effect sooner. She didn’t remember how she felt when she was bitten. She didn’t remember the pain, if there was any. And she didn’t remember crying, though, she probably had. But, if she had cried, it was probably because she had been scared. Before she became a werewolf, whenever something new happened, she always had gotten scared. Millie nipped at his shoulder a little, tearing away the cloths the covered his skin. She looked back to his face, flashing him a quick smile, oversized canines and all, and then went back to his shoulder, where she plunged her teeth down through the soft, fragile skin and felt her fangs penetrate his blood veins.

Ben was starting to REALLY enjoy this. Being a good guy with a gentleman's heart, he knew he couldn't have. But he was also a male with male urges and feelings, and here was the girl he loved looking utterly gorgeous and wanting to be physically be with him. And even though she looked and acted strangely, Ben did not think there was any danger.
"I see you're... glad to see me too," he said. He then saw she was REALLY glad to see him... at least that's how he felt when she first tore his clothes. "Whoa, easy. Should we go somewhere private for th..." The next thing that came out of his mouth was a scream of intense pain. As if by instinct, he pushed her away after she bit into him. "What is wrong with you, Millie?" He then back away from her, placing his hand on his shoulder, then looked at his palm in horror to see it covered with blood. Without apologizing to Millie for shoving her, he turned and ran...and... ran... and ran... until he began to grow dizzy. He didn't know if it was the fear or the blood loss, or a combo of both, but it hardly mattered once he fell to the ground unconscious.

With a smirk of pure satisfaction and the taste of blood in her mouth, Millie let him run. She knew that he wouldn’t get far, and she knew that no matter where he went, she’d be able to find him. As a werewolf, Millie had super hearing as well as many other enhanced senses. His reaction had been typical and his ignorance at the beginning of her little show made her a little more satisfied with herself. She had played normal well, for a little while at least. Millie never would have acted this way while they were in school. She ran out for full moons and watched how and when she changed very carefully. Now, she was free to be… well… free. Millie followed after Ben in nothing more than a walk and she smiled once she found him, the venom already working its way in. It had really been that easy. She knelt down beside him and set her hand on his hair, stroking it gently. He was handsome, she had always noticed that. And now, he was like her. She picked him up using yet another one of her enhanced werewolf senses (this one for strength) and carried him back to the place she lived, a dingy, sort of run down, abandoned apartment building. She was the only one who lived there, and she liked it that way. Milo came around a lot, but this, being a full moon, had kept Milo plenty busy without her.

(Hope this is alright. I can mod if need-be.)
Ben woke up the next day to find himself lying in a bed. Still feeling a slight pain in his shoulder, he quickly rose in the strange place and looked for a mirror. Finding one on a dresser, he looked to see that the wound from the bite had completely healed... almost as if it had never happened save a small scar. He wasn't feeling the effects of any blood loss. In fact... he felt great. Really great.
Well that was until some of his other senses kicked in, the ones he would have to get used to. He heard people who were far off as if they were right next to him. He felt a strange combination of scents instead of his nose on one or two. And he was starving. Not just the usual morning hunger that was satisfied with a danish from the Bonfire Bakery. He wanted meat and lots of it. With all this overwhelming him, he backed away into the bed again, hoping that lying down would help a little. He doubted it though. He doubted things wouldn't be nearly alright until he figured out just what was going on.

Millie had spent the morning with Milo at his parent’s old farm house. It was dingy and dirty and was covered in hay and dust, however, she and Milo had agreed it would be best to move the entire pack there in an attempt to help keep them safe and to keep an eye on the pups. She had left her apartment locked and had left her sleeping pup safely in her bed. When she left, she knew that she had time to be away, it normally took a day or so for the venom to spread and for the pups to wake up. She wasn’t surpassed, though, when she heard him moving around in her apartment before she entered. She did enter and went straight into her bedroom. The apartment wasn’t at all decorated. The walls were a dirty white and the floors were plain cement. Her bed was only a box spring and a mattress sat on the ground, but her sheets and blankets were nice, she liked soft fabrics. “Hey you.” Millie Smirked and crossed her arms over her chest as she leaned in the doorway of her bedroom. “How are you feeling?” When she had first woken up the morning after she had bitten Ben, she hadn’t remembered that she had bitten him, and she still wasn’t sure why she had, but the fact was, she had. And she would be the one to have to deal with it.

Ben was now staring up at the ceiling, wishing for the loud noises to stop and closing his nose as best he could to block out the smells. But then he smelled a pleasant scent and heard a beautiful voice. He looked up to see Millie. She asked how he was, but he couldn't answer her at first. He stood in awe of her and found himself attracted to her more than ever before. He wanted to take her into his arms at that moment, he wanted to touch her...kiss her... just be with her. But his anger at his heightened senses then came into play again. He rose from the bed.
"How am I, Millie?" he said. "How am I? What did you do to me? All of a sudden I can hear conversations from people who are nowhere near this apartment like they're right beside me. I can smell the garbage from out in the streets like I'm sticking my face in a rubbish can. I usually wake up in the morning craving toast and tea, maybe a kipper or two. Now I want a steak and I don't even bloody care if it's raw. None of this happened until a certain someone too a bite out of my shoulder last night."
He then moved closer to her, and began to feel the urge to hold her again.
"Millie, what's happened to me?" he asked.

“I bit you.” She said flat out. She knew that he didn’t exactly know what the exact meaning of that comment meant, yet, but maybe she had said it mostly for her own comfort. She had bit him. And she needed to let the fact sink in a little and start taking the responsibility that came along with changing a human into a pup. She would have to take care of him for a while, and it wasn’t like he was a helpless baby and wouldn’t know what to do. His own senses would become clear soon and he would learn to control what he could hear and smell and block the rest out. He would learn to control his shifting and he would even learn how to obey and would have the protectiveness towards his alpha and his pack that Millie did. It would just take time. “Because I’m a werewolf.” She added to her previous statement. “And under the full moon, I was drawn to you and… well I can’t really explain it, but I had to bite you. So now, you're one too.” She said. She had the urge to say that she was sorry, and to comfort him, but, she wasn’t sorry. She knew that what happened under the influence of the full moon, happened for a reason. Any and all repressed urges were brought to life once you gave up control.

Ben wanted an explanation. A normal, rational explanation. A temporary curse. A bit too much exposure to some dark magic. Perhaps the woman who's son he was tutoring was actually evil and slipped some vile potion in the tea he drank at her house. Rational...
But no, Millie, the girl he knew and loved for seven years at Hogwarts, who he thought he knew almost EVERYTHING about... was a werewolf. Not only that, he was the way he was now before she took a nasty little love bite out of him. It wasn't as if he didn't believe in the existence of werewolves. He believed in those and vampires and everything else a young wizard knew existed.
But himself... a werewolf? He didn't want to believe it or perhaps he just didn't want to accept it.
"This is crazy," he said, shaking his head. "This just crazy. I can't be a werewolf! What about my life? My family? My job? Is all of that going to change?" He then looked at Millie to ask her why she had to do it. Why she had to bite him, still not completely understand it. "Millie..." But then that animal magnetism came back and he suddenly moved closer and placed her arms around her. "I've missed you so much." He then leaned in with the hopes of giving her a long, passionate kiss.

Millie sighed a little. She knew that it was a lot to take in and especially all at one time. She knew that she owned Ben an explanation, and possibly, very many of them, but now wasn’t the time to reminisce. They had forever to do that. Now wasn’t really the time for anything. She knew that all Ben really needed was time. Once enough time had passed, he would learn to accept what had happened to him, or, he would adjust to tolerate it at the very least. “You can do what you want with your job and your family and all that…” Millie shrugged. She didn’t have a job. Nor did she have a family. That wasn’t true. She had Milo, and the pack. Milo had been a lot like her and had been an orphan. They were always able to sympathize with each other in that way and Millie believed that it brought them both closer together. When Ben wrapped his arms around her, she started a little bit. She hadn’t been expecting it, though, she did liked touching. She was almost always touching Milo, whether it was holding his arms or riding on his back or just throwing her legs over his while they lay around and did nothing. Millie loved human contact, so this wasn’t too weird, but because of who it was, it was strange. “Ben… what are you-,” she was cut off by his kiss, and was completely caught off guard, but she didn’t pull away.

When Millie said that he could still do his things with his family and job, Ben wondered how much of that was true. With the danger of turning when the full moon made its appearance, at least Ben assumed that's how it went, his family and the children could find their lives at risk. Or what if he bit them as Millie bit him... turned them into werewolves as well. Could he live with that? Making them monsters who would attack others? Ben obviously had a lot to understand about this breed of werewolves.
But he wasn't thinking about that anymore for the moment. He was thinking about how amazing it was to kiss a young woman he had been in love with for years, to finally not tell her... but actually show her how he felt about her. He couldn't work up the courage like some Gryffindor then, but now he felt like he could take on the world. As he kissed her, he also felt his senses calm... as if he was controlling them to an extent. If anything, he wasn't being driven nuts.
After the kiss ended, he stroked her hair and smiled.
"You don't know how long I've waited to do that, Millie," he said. "I love you... I always have. I wish I had told you at school... so much lost time." He then sighed. "You wanted me to be... like this for a reason. Can you help me adjust to it?"
