When she was nine she realized that not only did she love animals but that she
had a knack for dealing with them, even the ones in the woods behind the house she used to
live in attracted her, she often went walking through them feeding some of the smaller ones
as she passed by them.

LIKES:
Hamsters- Mel’s only friend while she was held captive was her pet hamster name Spartacus, she wasn’t allowed outside until she was about six or seven in fear she’d be found so she became close with it.
Drums- Mel was giving these for her seventh birthday as bribe and reward for listening to her captor, ever since then she had private lessons as long as she behaved.
Candy- Mel always had a sweet tooth from the time she was two until now, it didn’t lessen during the time she was held captive.
DISLIKES:
Small spaces- During the first couple of mouth during her kidnapping she lived in a small room below her captor house. She grew to dislike being closed in as it brought back painful memories.
Dogs- Her and her captor had moved to a muggle neighborhood in efforts to hide from her father, so she was let outside and her neighbor’s dog got loose and bit her.
Stranger men- Having been kidnapped Mel is scared of any Strange grown up especially males that suddenly show up, it trigger flash backs.
BIGGEST FEAR: Loosing her family again
Mel’s scared that she’s gonna wake up one day and find she’s dreamed up this whole thing, and she’s still living in that bedroom, in the house belonging to her kidnapper
PERSONALITY:
Shy- she never really interacted with people and her lack of trust causes her to shy away from people
Reserved- Melfina’s still recovering from the shock of her dad finally finding her and adjusting to the new setting so she keeps to herself only talking to her brother.
Sarcastic- Due to her being raised by her kidnapper she developed a sort of snarky personality as she has no time for foolishness.
Suspicious- Melfina thinks everyone has ulterior motives and trusts no one, this mostly is a result of the attack on her family when she was four.
Funny- when you get past her shell she’s actually pretty fun, she had a sarcastic, witty type of humor and may throw in some crude jokes. It’s not her fault her only company for about ten years was a grown man.

HISTORY:
Melfina was born twin to Matthew Johanson and, daughter to Sven and Maria Johanson who were ecstatic to have them in their lives. She was incredibly close to Matt even at a young age, their bond was strong and they were always getting into trouble together. They all had a very happy lives until the twins were four and tragedy struck. A pair of dark wizards killed there mom and took her from her family, all she understood at the time was that she was never going to see them again. From the time she was kidnapped to about the age of six Mel lived in a small barley lit room. She was only permitted to leave it when she stopped throwing temper tantrums and that was rare. She finally gave up trying to be returned to her family and gave in to her captor. She was taught that her father was the reason she had gotten kidnapped and she pretended to believe him for her safety sake. She had long since learned what happened when she disobeyed.
When she was seven they moved to small village in Moscow, a place where her father wouldn’t think to look, according to her captor. During the first few months of her stay she was allowed outside and she began to think of her captor as a guardian, even though she knew he was evil. Melfina wasn’t abused or anything, she was treated like any father would treat their daughter. She even got a drum set for her seventh birthday along with lessons. Her captor taught her the ways of the dark side instilling in her the importance of blood purity, she somewhat accepted this as she didn’t exactly know what to believe.
When she was nine she was outside and decided to into the woods against the warning from here captor, upon entering the forest she cam across a small Diricrawl . At first she was scared until it came closer and seemed to wait for her to move, she figured she could pet it as she walked closer she was surprised it let her. She then started noticing that animals gravitated to her especially when she visited the pet shop to get supplies for her hamster. She eventually found out the name of her ability from her captor and though being able bond with animals was exciting, she made it her goal to not only document the animals she's met but also come across every non-dangerous magical creature at least once.
She lived in Moscow until she was ten, then she and her captor moved to Paris, France. When she was eleven she was enrolled in Beaubaxtons. She was generally a shy and detached student, not interacting with anyone or talking about her home life. She studied hard and for three years managed to stay under the radar, she hated how much she moved around. During her school years she found herself planning her escape more and more, wishing and wonder if her father was looking for her. Even after all those years she remembered them, all those family outings and fun she had with Matt.
As fate would have it she was just coming home for the summer when she found her house in turmoil. She found a man that looked strangely familiar waiting inside her for her and her captors arrival. Upon seeing him, her kidnapper fled and the man didn’t bother chasing her. After the drama died down, the man identified himself as her father and Melfina nearly killed him from hugging him to death. He un-enrolled her from Beaubaxtons and brought her home again. Although she stayed in St. Mungo’s for awhile she, to make sure there wasn’t anything wrong with her, her and her brother were reunited again with maximum awkwardness. Deeming her fit to go to school her father enrolled her in Hogwarts with her brother and resumed his search for the wizard who not only kidnapped her but also killed her mother.
