Jaylee was a bit tired, she had just gotten back from her trip in South America or should rather they had gotten back. She didn’t want to rely on her nannies or her father to watch Kendall while she was away so she took him, He was supposed to be learning Spanish anyways, helped him more to see it used everyday rather than in lesson from her father or herself.
She knew there was a wizarding park around her home but she never really cared to go to it. She and Kendall spent a lot of time traveling and she felt as if she was separating him from people his own age. Nothing but adult conversation wasn’t good for a kid though she was potential raising a mini Ravenclaw. She swung the picnic basket in one hand and Kendall’s in the other as they walked from the entrances to their manor to the local park.
“So Happy to be back?” she asked her son smiling and looking down at him. The thought that he was going away to Hogwarts in less than five years scared him more than bit, actually it terrified her. Perhaps it was because her life revolved around him for the past two years or so, or maybe it was because he was her stability. “Yeah mom, you know grandpa has horses….can we go visit him.” Jaylee rolled her eyes, of course Horses and her fathers stories always trumped hanging out with your mother.
“I guess, I have a lot of paper work to do anyways.” she said smiling, they reached the park and she placed the basket on of the picnic tables just as Kendall ran off towards a group of kids ‘Don’t go to far and stay in the park!” she yelled after him before shaking her head and sitting down in the shade. She pulled out some of her paper work and began to work on it while discreetly watching her son.

Time had never been kind to him, and Sven knew full well that pain was always going to be there. He had just never really been able to get past the death of his wife, and the circumstances of her death still haunted him as the man responsible continued to stay out of his reach. It was frustrating, and yet he knew there wasn't much he could do about it. He had managed to get Melfina away from him, but that was about all Sven had managed thus far. It was the sort of thing that drove anyone to madness.
About the only thing keeping him sane was work, though seeing his two children was definitely a help keep him sane as well. It also proved to be a good distraction from the hunt for the man who singlehandedly ruined his life. Most nights he often came home late as he spent time at work. Granted during the summer break, his children had been home, along with Melfina's boyfriend visiting quite often. That had been a good thing, seeing that Melfina was already attached to someone in that way. Matt seemed to struggle relationship wise, but he did have a feeling that Matt's bad luck was soon to end.
Figuring that since he had the day off he might as well be outside, Sven headed off to a wizarding park nearby, dressed in a black polo shirt, blue jeans, and black and gray sneakers, an attire far more casual to what he normally wore. He had his wand in his left front pocket while his silver pocket watch was in the right front pocket. Arriving at the park, he noticed a few people around, not really paying all that much attention otherwise. Heading to a shaded area, he took note of the one person sitting there, a woman about five years, maybe more, younger than he was. Letting that pass from his mind for now, he sat down at an empty picnic table, merely watching the area and not really paying too much attention. JAYLANIE GRACE COSTIO

paperwork had to be the one thing Jaylanie didn't like doing wheb it came to her job. She loved the traveling, the exotic places and the new langauges....she also liked how allowing they were when it came to brin ging her son along. Though she had to admit that her father and step mother were right, she had thrown herself into her work as a sort of distraction from everything. It wasn't a good thing at all but it was working at least sbe thought it was.
Jaylanie wasn't sure it was such a good day to be outside with no water, the sun was beaming down and the news channel said it would be unreasonably hot outside. Which was why she was a bit against bringing her son the park, so when she saw someone she recongize from school albeit vaguely she went to her picinic basket for some water. Standing up she walked over and held out a bottle of water "Here, kt might be a good idea to have some water, its supposed to get hotter" she said putting her hands into the pocket of her shorts. She hadn't really talked to anyone near here age unless it work related, she was kind of busy lately.
"Hey, your name is Sven right" she asked a bit awkwardly, she figured now was a good time to branch out. Plus her paper work was so boring, it wouldn't kill her to put it off for a little while. She looked over to where the kids were just to make sure everything was okay before turning ger attention back to Sven....if that was his name which she thought it

"Hm? Oh, thank you," Sven replied with a friendly smile. It was helpful for sure, as the heat wasn't friendly, much less healthy without water or some other sort of hydration. Opening the water bottle, he took a long drink before closing it back up. He took another look at the woman who had handed him the water bottle and noted that she was familiar, someone from Hogwarts maybe? She seemed to be younger than him, so maybe she was a few years behind him then? But what house had she been in? He didn't remember her at all from Slytherin. She also wasn't one he remembered from Ravenclaw, though he wouldn't be able to ask Marina if she knew, now would he? Was she a Hufflepuff or Gryffindor alumni? It was something he'd probably find out later, though it would be of no surprise if she was a Gryffindor alumni, especially to those who were still alive to call him a traitor to a group he never wanted to join.
"Yes, though your name slips past me," he admitted a bit ruefully. It was a bit embarrassing to admit, not remembering a person's name. Though if he was right, and she was younger by at least five years than him, then it was likely that he wouldn't have really known her name to begin with. Maybe he had? But if so, then why in Merlin's name could he not remember it at all? She was an attractive woman, but at that thought his mind flooded with memories of Marina, and he had no choice but to push all thoughts like that out of his mind. He couldn't afford to have an emotional breakdown in front of someone he didn't know, much less in public. That would have been an embarrassment to him, if not everyone else around. It's no problem, I think I may have over pack my cooler to be honest" Jaylee admited with a smalll smile. Still one could never be to sure, or safe. There was a small part of her that made her think she worried to much about things. It was how she dealt with thhing, she worried. She worried Kendall wasnt happybor didnt make enough friends, she worried about work and her parents, It helped her get her mind off everything. Still sometimes she couldn't help reminiscence on the past and how she moved from her old home because it was to much. She sat down on the oppsite side of the picnic table "You dont mind do you?" she asked shyly, she knew not many people wanted company when they came to parks, by themsleves. At least she thought he was alone.
"My names Jaylanie, most call me jaylee and its okay I was like five year younger than you I think. I was still getting use to the awesomeness that is Gryffindor common room parties when you graduated" she said with a small laugh thinking back to when she was younger and how surprised she was at how much partying they could do but still manage to get to class on time. Of course the head master was way cooler and less strick than the current one. Also as llong as they didn't have potions the next morning, it was worth it.
"Are you here with someone?" She asked looking over to where the kids were, trying to find one that looked like the man in front of her. Majority if the otheother parents were paired up with a partner or a friend. She smiled as kendall waved over to her, of couse she waved back and he returned to playing.

"I don't mind at all," he replied with a shrug as she asked if it was fine to sit across from him. He didn't mind company at the moment, as he rarely actually had anyone to talk to these days, mostly because of how he usually carried himself. Today though was the anniversary of his wife's death, and that usually opened him up some from the shell he usually kept himself in. In that sense he had been much like his son, who had kept himself in a shell all the way through fourth year for the most part. The difference was that Sven was able to operate at his work way better and far more efficiently than before his wife's death and whenever the shell was weakened. He usually took those days off, not wanting to risk his work ethic weakening to any degree. That was a key reason why he was at the park that day, though granted he was still on duty in a sense as he was usually alert to whatever might be going on there.
"Ah, I see. I was in Slytherin, though it was also a bit of a rough time around then for me," he admitted with a shrug. That had been a very rough time for him as he had been dragged along a rough path, one he was grateful to get away from once he had the chance to break free. The problem was the stigma he had to deal with as a result. He wasn't all that proud of the fact that he had the dark mark on his forearm, as it was a strong reminder of what he had to go through back then. He usually kept it hidden, and right now he was able to, though he wondered if Jaylee would spot it somehow. That would make things difficult if she became uneasy from that bit of realization that he had been a Death Eater, albeit reluctantly.
"No, came on my own. My children are off at school and otherwise... well I'm widowed unfortunately," he admitted with a bit of a sorrowful sigh. He wasn't a fan of thinking about his wife's death, though he had to admit that it was eleven years ago at this point, seeing as how the ten year anniversary was last year. Still, it wasn't easy to think about, so he promptly emptied thoughts of his wife from his mind, at least temporarily. JAYLANIE GRACE COSTIO

Jaylee nodded, the snakes and lions didn't mesh well no matter what generation you were from. She didn't particularly care for them, as long as they didnt start spewing bs about blood purith she was fine. Her brothers were half bloods after, and she was the type to shot off spells at anybody who hurt her family or threatened. Perhaps it was her inner Gryffindor, but she was very protective over her family. "Well, you made it, maybe a bit battered and scared but I strongly believe its the bad things that make us" she didnt go off sprouting that foolish say what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, she believed that whatever doesn't kill you, haunts you.
Jaylee frowned but nodded giving his hand a sympathic pat, she understood "Mine is the ball of energy with the orange shirt and green eyes, and I totally understand your pain he was about five when his dad past, he's eight now" She knew more than anything what it was like to lose your other half, but Kendall was her anchor, she had to be strong for him.
"So how old are they?" She asked hoping make the subject lighter, she could tell he had that whole slytherin brooding down pack and made her mission to keep him from such things.

"That is true, I suppose. There's been a lot that has given me doubt about all of that though," he admitted with a sigh. He wasn't entirely keen on admitting that, but there was a lot that made him doubt that he was stronger from everything he had encountered. If anything he had become a bit less secure, and thus far more cautious than he had previously been. Granted he knew he should have been this cautious before things went bad, mostly due to the unfortunate luck he had in his younger years. The mark on his forearm he usually found ways to cover, as it was one he really hated with a passion. He just wished he knew a way to get rid of the mark.
"Ah, I see. My condolences then," he replied with a sympathetic nod. It was definitely not good that people lost loved ones, for any reason. He wasn't sure it would be a good idea to ask her just how her other had passed on. Of course, he was also hesitant to mention just how his wife had passed on. Granted, a mention that a dark wizard had killed his wife and kidnapped his daughter was something he usually kept under wraps anyways.
"Both are fifteen, and are fifth years in Hogwarts," he replied, noting that Matt had actually fallen short of prefect, but just barely. Melfina meanwhile, well who could say what she was really up to this semester, though he figured if anything her boyfriend was bound to limit her antics a degree, if Matt didn't at any rate. Of course, he wasn't even sure that Melfina's boyfriend would limit her pranks and sneaking out even if he wanted to. JAYLANIE GRACE COSTIO
