Ally was kind of excited that a club like this existed in the first place. While a good number of her relatives danced, there were certain styles that made practicing with family awkward at best and unbearable at worst. She hoped, for that reason, to find someone she could learn something from. It was a fairly safe bet, she supposed, since she had very little in the way of true professional training, save for her aunt Sarah and Uncle Cern who were really too far above her level to be bothered with teaching her she felt. So, dressed in her work out attire, she dropped her bag near the door and moved to start her stretches. The tattoo was hidden for now, she didn't feel like being questioned about it by people she barely knew. The transition from fling to friendship between her and Cameron had gone more seamlessly than she'd had any right to expect, and she was grateful for that, but what she needed now was a distraction, something to pour herself into and get lost in, something challenging and intense that would take something out of her. She was an hour early, so she had no real concerns about an audience. With that in mind, she flicked her wand toward a record player and the music, a warm-up tune with an easy beat, filled the room. A series moves that were more about stretching than grace and she spun out into something that could only aptly be called modern, free-style chaos. The technique was correct, but the moves in combination with one another made little sense to a more experienced eye. Her uncle had teased her about it without ever really correcting her, and as such, she had never really seen fit to change it. She closed her eyes, aware of the room's dimensions, and lost it, forgetting her surroundings and the room in general, throwing herself full-tilt into a warm up routine which could barely be called a routine at all. I FEEL LIKE DANCING TONIGHT! Olie had made his way out of the common room and toward the Room of Requirement. There was about an hour before those exigents would be arriving. He was fine with helping them dance, he was co-captain after all, but he liked some alone time. As he approached the door, he noticed the robust patterns fading. "You've got to be joking..." There was already someone there? See, this is why he goes to Myrtle's bathroom. He rolled his eyes slightly and continued toward the door. It began to reappear. He pushed the door open slightly to see an unfamiliar face. He didn't have much confidence when it came to most girls, but when someone was intrusive on his time or space, he was okay to handle things. "Excuse me, Dance has RUR reserved." Most kids said ROR [roar] instead of Room of Requirement, his accent made more of a u-sound. It was clear she was dancing. Was she wanting to join.
He made it about fifteen feet from her and watched her dance. He couldn't help but chuckle. Her dancing only seemed to match the beat, though there was no continuity, no structure in what she was doing. He stood on one leg and crossed his arms, just waiting for her to finish. He had to admit, she had more style than most in the club, but her timing, structure, and continuity in her dance seemed weak. Maybe he had just walked in on some type of her own personal warm up, so he wasn't too eager to just jump to conclusions about what exactly she was doing. So he waited.

Having temporarily lost touch with the world around her, Ally didn't hear the door or the voice that followed soon after. It wasn't until the music had stopped and she opened her eyes that she caught sight of him in the mirror. It startled her, but she didn't jump. Taking a deep breath and straightening out of her ending position, she turned to face him. Recognition lit her expression, he was a student at WATR, but she couldn't think of his name. Realizing she was studying him a bit too closely to be considered proper, she caught herself. "I'm sorry, did you say something?" She hadn't expected anyone here this early, but he probably had the same reasons she did. Still, the knowledge he might have been there to see her seriously informal warm-up routine was a bit disconcerting. There was a reason she liked to warm-up alone. "I was hoping to loosen up a bit before the Dance meeting" she continued. "Aunt Sarah says if I don't find a way to keep my conditioning up I'm going to be at a serious disadvantage next session." Why couldn't she remember his name? It seemed like something she wouldn't have forgotten. She knew he was older, and she'd seen him dance once, but she hadn't known there was anyone else there who went to Hogwarts. It excited her on some level, the notion she might have real dancers to practice with and learn from. Crossing the room to the wall, she took a bottle of water from her bag before focusing on him again. "I didn't expect to see anyone. I guess I'm not as early as I thought." OLIVIER TOPHER PEIRRIN

I Feel Like Dancing Tonight! She was... warming up? He was confused a bit, seeing as how the dance club hadn't officially met this year just yet. Sure, today they'd be dancing, but mostly just walking through the year and what they'd be doing. Not that there would be anything too prominent, mostly just for fun and bringing together those who loved to dance. "Well.. I came early as well. Sorry to spoil your alone time." from the looks of it, she needed a bit more training.
He tried to hold in a laugh, and he did. He thought about it for a minute. That would have been decently performed as a warm up, and now that he knew it was such, he held off on a laugh. "So.. that was dancing?" He played dumb. Maybe he could fool her into thinking he knew nothing about dance and was only there to learn how, "Maybe you could teach me. What do they call that?" he said, with a tint of sarcasm. He was awkward enough around girls as it was, but maybe if dance was involved, he could forgo that feeling. "Ahh.. What sort of conditioning?" he said, playing dumb again. He knew this would eventually bite him in the ass, but he knew he deserved a good gloat every now and then.
He did train in France under some pretty good people. Take Cobalyn for instance. He was probably in his fifties, but he was a great teacher at the studio. Even had some professional experience.... a lot of professional experience. He had never thought about their last names before. With them being the same, it was kind of weird. He knew that Peirrin was a common last name in this part of France, though. "Sow me again?" he said with a taste of want in his voice. Hopefully, she was believing this bullshit, Olie was up for a good laugh.

She studied him without bothering to hide it. She knew she'd seen him before as soon as she had gotten a good look at his face. Plus, a body like that was hard to forget in her opinion, though if she remembered right his ego left something to be desired. Ah well, she was very accustomed to men who were exceptionally sure of themselves, especially fellow dancers. It was a side-effect of the hours they all spent wearing themselves down in the name of their passion. Her eyes, which had been previously occupied in studying him physically, now seemed to be sizing him up in other ways. "Not a problem, I'm not used to being alone for very long." It was true, both here and at home. While Ally ocassionally enjoyed her privacy, she'd learned to see it as a luxury rather than a necessity. She stretched for a moment, arms above her head and her gaze momentarily breaking from his. She sighed when the bones in her neck cracked in quick succession, arching an eyebrow at him when he spoke again. He took the same classes she took, and generally more advanced versions. So he was either being sarcastic, or he didn't know who she was. She considered his question for several seconds and then decided it had to be both. "Not the kind they teach us during sessions" she said casually, though her expression betrayed some of her amusement. "But it helps me loosen up for the real stuff." Real being the socially acceptable dancing they favored at school, real being what she needed to improve on in order to find her way into life as a professional dancer in the next few years. A nearly impossible dream, she knew, but she was far too determined, and beyond that too stubborn to settle for anything less. At his next question, she smirked at him, crossing her arms over her chest as her posture and body language betrayed her healthy dose of attitude. "Originality" she informed him, "not something I get to play with much during sessions, but Aunt Sarah and Uncle Cern lets me mess around when I work with them." She shrugs, "I'm not so much worried about technique when I'm doing that." She relaxes a little, the smirk softening a bit, "as you can probably obviously tell." He asks about her conditioning and she frowns, reminded suddenly of the disadvantages she's facing come next session if she can't figure out a way to keep improving. There was only so much she could work on on her own. "What I really need is a partner, preferably one I can learn from. I was hoping I might find one here." Her tone doesn't sound like she's hinting because at this point she's not sure he's the kind of person she's comfortable messing up in front of in the first place. Dancing with someone, she knew, required a certain amount of trust, and though she didn't feel threatened by him, he seemed just a little too amused by her, and it got under her skin in ways that were normally difficult to accomplish. It didn't help that he probably was in fact better than she was. It added more fuel to the fire. Ally did not appreciate being looked down on by anyone. Show him? She arched an eyebrow as the smirk returned, accompanied by a somewhat challenging look that caught the spark in her oceanic eyes. "Sorry" she meets his eyes again, not sounding remotely apologetic, more mischievous in fact than anything. "That particular show was a once in a lifetime experience. I hope you enjoyed it." I Feel Like Dancing Tonight! He took a mental note standing there just watching her--a mental note of her running her eyes across him. He knew her from somewhere, and the only place that came to mind was from the academy over the summer. It would make sense that she was in his classes, seeing as how the classes he was in were summer only. She was here for regular school time, so of course she would be in them as well. Was she someone in his classes, or someone in the intermediates of his own. Her familiarity was strange to him, like he had spoken to her but not ever in consistency. As she stretched, he found his eyes wandering her form. He couldn't wait to grasp her visually, and it seemed like she had already done that to him.
She seemed to cherish her alone time, and made that firm in Olie's head when she spoke about not being alone that often. "Oh? I can... go? Let you... dance about." he said, with a bit of mockery and sarcasm. He wasn't normally like this, in fact, if he had met her in any other setting he would seem less than competitive. He is normally shy and reserved. When it came to dance, he became a bloomed flower, prepared to take anything thrown his way. He knew she was a dancer of some sort, but her warm up just.. was lacking key components. She watched the slight line of skin show from her stretch. She was thin, and attractive, and his eyes wandered up and back to her eyes. He wasn't really one to stare at a feminine physique, he was a dancer and saw enough of it, that was for sure. As she made her way back to a normal stance, he tossed her a small smile, "By all means, proceed.. I mean, I'd love to learn.." He wanted to watch more, he was curious if there was anything more to it.
Ahh, so she was a student at the academy. Of course, her warm up would be a lot more perfect-stance than that if she had been in the same class as his. His eyes rolled slightly, and he looked back to her, he couldn't hold this facade any longer. He knew she was picking up on the fact that he was a dancer anyway. "The academy is there for a reason. I mean, they teach us warm ups for a reason. If you want to do a free style warm up, you really need to work in the mobility and such from a choreographed warm up." He was seeing it now. She had the want to express herself outside the bounds of format, and she was doing okay, but needed to utilize the tools of each muscle and stretch pattern to warm up her entire body. "After all, freestyle warmups are okay and fun, but miss a single muscle and that will be your downfall." he said, in a more 'teacher-esque' tone. Of course, he had that to him, since he was a teacher and all. "It'll help with the muscle cramping..." He remembered being there, needed direction, the cramps. Painful enough to put you out for minutes, if you weren't warming and stretching properly. With her rambunctious and stubborn attitude, he didn't know how well she'd take the outside criticism, but it was worth a shot, right? He didn't have a lot of chances to explore the teaching of similarly leveled students. Maybe he was doing such for the experience, or just because he liked having the rule over people when it came to dance.
A partner? He was curious now, though he knew he could teach her just about as much as anyone at the academy or indifferent. She made mention to a Sarah and Cern, the names sounded slightly familiar. Like, maybe they were once students at the academy and he had seen pictures with their names on it. He shook the thought and focused back on her, "I guess I could take a stab at it?" he said, still knowing that she may not know his dancing skill level, quite yet. He was advancing through the academy with ease and well on his way to world tours and fame. There was no need for him to hide his skill, or doubt her potential, but he found it fun to wow people. Take them off guard and show just how good he was. He noted her temperament change, was he actually getting under her skin?
He laughed under his breath. It was once in a life time? "I'd hope.." he said, back to sarcasm. He looked away from her for a second, and then back, "Sorry.." he had forgotten his manners. This was just a dance club meeting, not an audition of the sorts or anything like that. He felt a bit bad over this and offered out his hand, "I don't mean to seem like an ass, but please forgive me. I'm Olivier.." his accent wasn't under control as much as he'd like, but it was reasonably understandable. "You can call me Olie.. and.. if you don't mind, I'd love to show you a few things?" his entire tone of his voice had changed. There was nothing he could do about it, except for slowing down and showing her respect, which he had already started. "I'm an academy student and teacher... almost graduated in the summer program. I've got this coming summer left." Most students would arrive graduation from the upper level classes around eighteen and head into the collegiate levels, but it was no shock he was one year ahead most. He would be starting the two year collegiate program just before turning eighteen.
He dropped everything. His bag, he took his sweater off, he slipped on his shoes, and smiled at her. "A warm up should consist of utilizing every muscle without over extensions or rapid movements. Slow.. Steady.. Paced." he explained, as he moved across the floor, around her. "There's that feeling, after about ten minutes, when you know you can start moving faster, reaching and bounding, stretching your body in the process." As he began to move faster, it was obvious that there was a freestyle to this routine. Honestly, he was just moving to whatever beat was in his head. As the beats and melodies in his head got louder, he couldn't hear anything beyond his head. To some, that was a problem. He was able to only tune in on what was playing in his head, but to him it made learning and gaining experience easier and faster. As his moves gained speed, he began doing a flip here and there, and finishing with a handspring into a backwards somersault. So yeah, he had also been in gymnastics, and had a problem with mixing the two, He took a deep breath and wiped the sweat from his forehead.
