It was that time of year again, and Diagon Alley was now as busy as it was right before school started at Hogwarts. Given the size of her family, Fleur had wanted to start with her Christmas Shopping early, but life at the Ministry had been so busy. However, Hogwarts letting out gave her a break as well, given she found her services in reversing magical accidents often led her to the school.
One good thing that came out of this lateness was that she got to spend time with her good friend Lana Quinn. Recently their interactions had been limited to brief conversations at the Ministry and Order business due to the dark happenings which had taken place in London and at Hogwarts. Tonight, they could just be two women shopping for those they loved and enjoying one another's company. No business aside from the job of gift purchasing.
So now standing at the arranged meeting spot, Fleur sipped a paper cup of hot cocoa and awaited her friend.

She was late. Lana was usually never late, but today she was. She hadn't intended to be late, but she had just a little more paperwork to finish filling out. She hated filing reports, but it was impossible to get away from it, especially now with so much going on. When she finally finished off the last of everything, she filed it away for safe keeping. Finally, at long last she was finished. Now she was officially done, and she figured she wouldn't have to do another report for a long while. That was one of her reasons for wanting to get it done today; she liked getting it out of the way. She stood up and left her office, using a locking spell to secure her door.
Lana was supposed to meet Fleur in Diagon Alley ten minutes ago. She hoped her friend would still be there. She had been looking forward to Christmas Shopping with her for a while now. When she was in Diagon Alley, she walked quickly to their designated meeting spot. A wide smile hopped onto her face when she saw Fleur standing there. "I'm so sorry I'm late," she said, walking closer to the woman.
"I can't believe it's nearly Christmas! I haven't started any of my shopping yet," she said. Hopefully today, the two of them would be able to accomplish a lot.

Fleur was hardly upset that Lana was late. The Alley was crowded after all. She assumed her friend was fighting through the crowds to get to her, but naturally doing it with the class and dignity that Lana possessed. There was also the possibility of Auror business as well. Being in family with a number of Aurors, she understood that well.
Fleur smiled and hugged Lana when she saw her, following it up with a kiss on the cheek. Fleur was still very much French, and kissed just about all her family and friends on the cheek in greeting and parting.
"Think nothing of it," she chuckled when Lana apologized for being late. "It's a busy time of year. Less than two hours ago, I wondered if I was going home on time."
Fleur nodded when Lana spoke of not getting any shopping done.
"We are kindred spirits then," she said, chuckling a bit again. "But we're together now, and in Diagon. Shall we brave traveling among the masses to get some shopping done? But just to warn you- I am a Weasley and you know that means I have a LOT to do."
