PJ smirked and shook his head "Not a prick, just dying for your attention" he kissed her forehead and sighed. This would be a lot more complicated come morning, now that they had blurred the last line. He told himself that things would end this was even if he hadn't walked away that night. He forced himself to believe that this was inevitable...that nothing good would have came of even if things had been different. He smiled though, because for once there was no heat in her words. It thrilled him to know that he wasn't the only one giving in. Even though he knew this night could never happen again, even if he knew it would...he could change his mind. Not when he had finally gotten a glimpse of the side of her he wanted to protect...to hold.
"We could always go to my apartment, ill even cook...though there might be clothes on the floor"
As much as it pained him to admit it he liked the feel of her hands in his. Something so innocent as hand holding was the most dangerous thing they could. If it was just a one night stand, she'd be hurt but safe.Like many nights before he was left wondering if her emotional safety was worth more than her life. He couldn't save one without harming the other and he was starting to feel like a failure. Perhaps thats why his aunt stayed...why she loved his uncle perhaps she was his uncles Bryony.
"Aw, no dancing? If you wanna ditch I have more than enough to spare at home"
He raised an eyebrow, wondering if they should just leave now and save the awkwardness for later. He didn't want to share his time with her when she was being nice. He wanted to be selfish and monopolize all her time while she still allowed him, before she really regret ever meeting him. BRYONY CATE MOONBERRY

How had she managed to become so entangled in this mess? Entangled in this boy who had no place in her life just as she had no place in his. This was no fairy tale, and he was no prince. Why was she so easily blinded to this? Why did she let her self become caught up in her racing heartbeats? "Doesn't make you any less a prick." She said softly as she felt his lips press to her forehead. Oh what had they done? Surely the pain this was going to bring was not going to be worth it. Stolen moments and borrowed time. She found herself a bit caught off guard when he suggested taking her to his apartment. Well that was no doubt a place where they could really be alone. Alone and unsupervised. Of all the things he could suggest doing though, cooking? She glanced at him with a look of puzzlement. "Cook? Its almost midnight, what could you possibly be craving to eat at this hour?" She didn't think about how long they might stay, how maybe he meant later in the morning. Though she really just wasn't thinking at this point. Thinking lead to pain, something she didn't want to feel right now. Just a moment, just one borrowed moment, that was all she wanted. "Are you saying there is no music at your flat? Because, we don't need to be at some stupid party to dance you know...besides last time I went to a dance with a guy he left me and never came back. Not sure I'm ready for a repeat of that." She wondered if she would pay for that remark later. Her mind was screaming at her that they should stay, that it was wrong to leave with him. No good was going to come of a night spent alone with him. Even sober he found a way to cloud her judgement. Maybe that was why she ignored every instinct and kept herself close to him "What are we waiting for? Lets get out of here." She tugged at his arm trying to urge him to hurry and steal her away, hurry before she changed her mind, before she came to her senses. This wasn't how her night was meant to go. She was meant to be writing him out of her life, not burning him into her memory. What was a little more self loathing though? What was one more mistake? She had better sense than to let things get out of control, didn't she? One mistake, she could allow herself this one mistake. words: 436 tag: PRESTON JANDON SHERWOODooc: >.>

PJ for all his confidence and surety was afraid of what the morning would bring. No matter what he couldn't let her go and he knew it would kill her...what they had. Still as they walked towards a hogsmeade things were strangely quiet and he knew that meant thinking. At the moment thinking was bad for the both of them. "Maybe, im not denying it, im just saying its my way of getting your attention" Even though he knew most of his attitude was due to the boy she seemed to be around whenever she wasn't at school, it seemed to get her mind mostly on him.
He raised and eyebrow and smirked at the double meaning in her words but said nothing about it. Instead he shrugged his shoulders and smiled "You'd be surprised " when they finally reached a point he could apparate from he stopped and turned to her.
"Of course there is, maybe i was wrong for not inviting you to be my date and was trying to make up for it. I like your idea better much better"
He laughed not unkindly as he looked towards the shorter girl and held out his wand. "You're gonna have to hold on a bit tighter. You might fall somewhere if you dont, we need to apparate."
He didn't know what he was doing but he wasnt going to turn back. He couldn't give up the small amount of time he could have with her and pretend it wasn't toxic. He wanted to push away the thoughts that told him he was wrong and selfish and undeserving of her and anything she could give him. Happiness, peaice....purpose all of that he gave away when he joined the hunters...he saw in her.

How her mind reeled as she walked with him. She had long since given up on any reasonable thinking the voice that screamed about how she needed to turn back was nothing more than a faint whisper in the back of her mind. Instead she just tried to focus on the feeling of his hand wrapped up in her own. How was it that in all this time she had only held his hand twice? She had focused so hard on pushing him away, keeping him an arms and a wands length away from her she had almost forgotten how sweet it had been to feel her fingers slipped between his. How it felt so normal, so right. "Its not as if you didn't already have it." She said with a light scoff as she looked at him from the corner of her eye. Maybe he didn't realize how he possessed so many of her thoughts, how hours of her days belonged to thoughts of him. Maybe not all good, in fact maybe most of them had been thoughts of anger, but wasn't that better than no thoughts at all? How many dreams had he haunted since he came into her life? She had tried so hard to steal it back from him, to reclaim the life he was slowly stealing from her. But how can you steal back what you have given freely? She turned to him, eyeing him as he smiled and told her she would be surprised. She found he hard to keep herself from reaching up with her free hand to trace the curve of his smile, her own lips slowly curling up as she did so. Her fallen angle. Could he see how much her soul cracked each time she looked at him? How slowly he was crushing her into dust? Each beat of her racing heart bringing her one beat closer to her demises, one beat closer to her downfall, one beat closer to him. How much longer could she deny it, deny that she wasn't his? But just for tonight, she reminded herself. Just for tonight. "I'm sure you'll find some creative way to make it up to me..." She dropped his hand and pulled herself closer to him. Her hands slipping behind his neck and teasing his short hair as her lips hovered so close to that smile, but she drew back before they met, gazing at him with a coy little smile. Maybe it was just a dream. Some crazy messed up dream that felt more like a distant memory. That familiar rush of what it felt like to be with him at the Eve of Lights Ball and then some. She wrapped her arms around his arm and pressed her cheek to his bicep, the leather of his jacket clung to her skin and she closed her eyes as she breathed in, waiting to feel the pull in her abdomen that would signal their departure. There was no going back. words: 500 tag: PRESTON JANDON SHERWOODooc: *sinks into the feels*

Pj sighed and shook his head, it wasn't the same when she was also giving attention to that pencil pusher. Then again she did ditch the stiff to hang with him and walk on the dark side if only for a short time. He wondered if she knew that once he truly had her he wouldn't let go. He knew that it was selfish of him but she was the thing his mother hoped he'd find....a light.
As simple and cliched as it sounded she was the sole reason he found it hard to go to Hunter meetings. He would never turn his back on his vows but he became more focused on sticking to the dangerous. He forbade innocent children from being killed unless they posed a threat and things were less hectic for it. There were less aurors breathing down his uncle's neck and it made the old man rather enjoyable. Not that he would tell her that, not that would let her know how much she changed him without it being obvious. He was content to let her think he was a heartless killer, like the faces didn't haunt him in his sleep.
"Are you sure you know what you're getting into? Because I can think of a few."
His smirk was in place, why she had to play with fire constantly was a mystery but he knew he would enjoy the moments that followed. Still he should probably tell her about Ellie but then again she had Godfrey who was way more than a friend. He had taken the girl out for coffee as a thank you for saving his life and keeping the nurse from seeing his wounds. Unfortunately it got out of hand and rumors, focusing on his living room he waited for the familiar tug and then the constriction of his breathing to stop before he looked around.
He always found keeping your eyes open during apparition to lead to be disorienting. Flicking his wand he looked around, his living room was surprisingly clean...then again there was clothes around his bedroom floor. He tried to remember if any of it was female before deciding it wasnt, he had cleaned his room last week...maybe the week before. It wasn't as if he was ever here besides the odd hunt during the week end. He usually stayed at the Sherwood Manor in California.
"Anyways, this is my apartment, a lot less lived in than the manor but I doubt you wanna deal with my uncle."
He went into the kitchen and got a bottle of vodka and sat on the couch. He waited for her to join him as he took off the jacket and threw it on the armchair across from him.

The rush of the world and then everything came to a stop. The cold winter air was no longer biting at her skin. Of course as she opened her eyes she felt a slight rush of disorientation, it had been a while since her last along-side apparation. But she wasn't sure it was the apparating that was causing her head to spin. She looked up to him before peeling her arms away from his and taking a small step back. She felt wide eyed as she gazed around the apartment. How strange a feeling, so surreal. It was like a strange dream, one that she couldn't wake from. Then again, if it was a dream she really didn't want to wake, not yet, not when things were like this. Simple yet still so complicated. When he spoke her eyes drifted back to him, her lips tugging up into a faint smirk, "Dealing with you is trouble enough, thanks." Trouble wasn't even the half of it though. Are you sure you know what you're getting into? His words were ringing in her ears, deafening her thoughts. "No, I really don't..." She whispered to herself as he walked into the kitchen. She could feel a rush of panic creeping up. What was she doing? Being here of all places, with him of all people - what a foolish foolish girl she was. She slipped her arms from the light jacket she had been wearing, she paused seeing her wand in the pocket, but what good was it when she wasn't allowed to do magic this far from the school? What would she even need a wand for though? Maybe Preston was a murder but she was not his prey. But she was in some way, wasn't she? She shook the thoughts, all of them as she lay the jacket across the arms of one of the chairs in the room. She wrapped her arms around her frame running her fingers over her now exposed arms, she could feel the chill bumps raising on her skin and yet it wasn't from the cold. She watched as he returned a bottle in hand as he seated himself. As he discarded his own jacket she approached him, pushing his arm before seating herself upon his lap, what was the use of denying how she longed to be close to him when there was no one around to remind her how she shouldn't? Her pumps feel from her feet as she pulled her legs up beside them. She made a move to grab the bottle from him and swallow down the feelings that lingered in her chest. No feelings. There could never be feelings. She craved the numbing burn the vodka brought no matter how hard it was to swallow. It took a few healthy drinks but it would do. Returning the bottle to his hands she closed her eyes and pressed her face into his shoulder the heat of his body burning against her own. How she craved to strip him of his layers and find what lay beneath, to search within him and find good, any good. To know that there was some humanity in this beautiful monster that haunted her ever fiber. Maybe then she could justify it, justify the feelings that stormed in her chest, the ones she had tried so very hard to ignore. The ones he made impossible to ignore. Each breath he stole from her drew them closer and close to the surface where they lingered just below her skin, burning hot like fire. Soon she would be nothing but ash. "Preston..." She breathed his name against his skin, her voice low even though it was just them. No one else was there to hear her sin. But even she knew better then to confess to him the depths of what had brewed. To allow him to know just how weak she truly was. She could give him tonight, nothing more. She moved her face from his skin, how a boy could be more intoxicating than a drink she had yet to understand. No boy had come close in making her feel the way Preston had. Addiction. That was what he was. She caught herself staring, getting lost in his eyes, eyes that made her mind swim with questions. No snarky remarks. No heated words. Just the stillness of the room and the air between them. What could she even say? All the words would fall out wrong, and those that could were words she planned to keep locked away. Words she could never say, not to him. Anyone but him. This could never be a fairytale. He would never be her prince. This wasn't love, this could never be love. Just a mistake. That was all it could ever be, and he could never know the truth. A truth she could only hope to soon forget. words: 817 tag: PRESTON JANDON SHERWOODooc: seriously this song is stuck in my head whenever I reply to this thread

Preston's mind was racing with things he probably shouldn't be thinking about. His mind was screaming at him it was wrong for her to be here, in his apartment where so few had been. The other side was angry because he always brought girls there and she was supposed to be special. Still he wanted to be alone and a hotel seemed sleazy and his uncle would ask questions, this was supposed to be a question free night. They could argue, scream and throw things in the morning, when things were clearer. Was wrong for him to want this to end, for him to regret telling her that day in the library. If he never told her what...who he was he could've saved himself so much trouble. It would have been easier to apologize...to keep her....to love her because she wouldn't know how much of monster she was.
"I'll take that as a compliment, I'm just glad we're alone"
Words that could've meant so much, it was always like this. He would say everything but what he wanted to say. He would do anything but what he wanted, no matter what he always had to stay away. Even now he had to hide behind his arrogance and pride. He wanted to tell her, admit that she made him.....human but he couldn't let anyone have that type of power of him. It was pointless seeing as she already had but what she didn't know wouldn't kill her, but it could kill him.
His arm wrapped itself around her waist on its own insistence, the other more than willing to take the bottle from the girl on his lap. He like her took several drinks before setting the bottle on the table. All he wanted was at the moment and for the past month was the girl on his lap. It was useless to admit that it wasn't just physical, he didn't deserve her. For a moment he stiffened, her breath fanned across his skin and his grip tightened for a second as he regained the control she was always expertly snapping in half.
He didn't know if she had realized she had looked him in the eyes so many times that night he was fairly sure they were feeling the same thing. Her eyes gave so much away where his hide the true darkness of his soul, if you looked hard enough you could see Bryony's eyes reflected in his and that was as closed to his light as you could get. He couldn't let her go, she was the light in the darkness and even though he wouldn't admit...he knew.
He realized he hadn't said anything and he didn't want to. They had already lit the flames all there was left to do was burn, so he kissed her.
Oh how they burned

Her breath caught in her chest as she felt his grip around her tighten. Maybe she should have felt scared, terrified even. He was not the right guy, no she had left the right guy waiting to run away with the one that was all wrong. Maybe it was the vodka numbing her mind or maybe she was just drunk on him, but she felt no fear only a longing that had lingered since he pushed himself into her life, forcing her to take notice of him. How easily she let her arms come around his shoulders pulling herself in as she met his kiss. Words were useless now, words you could not come back from. But how was she to ever come back from this? One kiss that was all this was meant to be, one stupid little indulgent kiss. Maybe if he had kissed her months ago this never would have happened, she could have found it with in her will to give up him, but not tonight. Not now. Now she could only find herself swept up in the poisoned passion they shared, that they tried so hard to deny. But they were long past denial, weren't they? Long past reason. The spark had been lit so long ago, and now they would go down in the flames. The scars would be her's to bear, distant memories of what could never be, what never should have been. No more questions, no more thinking. She let herself slip into the numbness brought on with his venomous lips. Each taste left her wanting more, needing more. How easily she was giving into him, sinking deeper with each passing moment. How sweet bliss could be when you sank into ignorance and denial. Feeling only the the soft roughness of his mouth on her's, savoring the sweet taste that was his sin. Maybe they could make the night last forever, then she wouldn't have to worry about what tomorrow would bring, to be stuck in this moment... Stealing short breaths to whisper haste words against his lips Bryony staggered out her desperate plea, "Preston... I just - just....want to for-forget...just...help me - forget." Forget how this couldn't happen. Forget how she could never have him. Forget that she could only have tonight. Forget that they could never be in love. Forget everything. She wanted to get swept away in his destruction, to lose herself in the haze. To lose herself with him. Just this once. words: 415 tag: PRESTON JANDON SHERWOODooc:

Why did people tempt him with right and wrong? That was the only question on Preston's mind as he gave in to the kiss. He knew she couldn't have meant her words but he was helpless against saying no to her. He didn't want her to forget, he wanted her to remember but that was asking too much. He knew that he had nights where he wanted to forget that he had to be the bad guy. Still she had asked so nicely and he was never one to turn down an offer, he would have he to pay no matter what. He stood up and carried her to his room, shutting the door with a flick of his wand before sitting on the bed. She'd just run to Godfrey if he denied her, he'd rather lose her in the morning than right at that moment. In the cloudy atmosphere of the vodka and emotions that burned too bright it was hard to deny that he wanted her...no he needed her.
If he was going to do this, he decided it wouldn't be something to pass the time. Selfishly he would make sure she remembered him, even if he lost her in the morning...she would always remember this night. It didn't occur to him that he would be the first, he couldn't imagine a scenario where he would be deserving of such a thing. If had known, there's no doubt that he would've seen that as a sign that this would work. Instead he got lost in the feeling of her soft skin, the taste of her tongue and the burning need to consume her.
The sun peaked through the curtain and he rubbed his eyes with his free hand. He was aware of someone sleeping on chest and when he looked down images of the previous night assaulted him. He ran a hand through his hair and mentally screamed at himself for lack of control, he made everything worse. He was able to recall every little detail about that night and he felt the guilt hit him like a bludger. He didn't deserve the gift she had given him last him, drunkenly at that. He was so caught up in the emotional drunkenness he hadn't thought to ask. The worse part was if she had pushed it aside he would've still went with it.
"Bryony"
He whispered gently as he shook her softly trying to wake her up, he prepared himself for volcano eruption that would soon follow.

One night to be confused and caught up in him, that was what she had allowed herself, but she had not meant for it go so far. Caught up in the haze and wrapped up in him. One night to speed up the truth, the truth that they could never be, nothing more. Such a bittersweet taste lingering in her mouth as electricity pulsed against her skin with each brush against his. But no matter how she clung to the night it could never last forever, dawn would break and shatter them when the truth came to light. Truths she could never forget. Wrapped in his arms she had some how found sleep, entangled with him as if they were more than what they were, as if they could actually be lovers. A dream she could only hope to never wake from, or perhaps a beautiful nightmare. How foolish a girl she was, playing games in which she knew she would lose. Why had she not heeded his warnings? Why hadn't she left when she had the chance? Why did she choose this instead? She could blame it on the drink, but she knew that it would just be one more lie. She had wanted him, the one she should have never wanted, and it was him she could never have again. She felt his movements, her arms wrapping tight around his torso almost as if begging him not to do this, not to shatter the moment. Begging him to ignore the world just a little longer and prolong the fantasy. But the soft sound of his voice rang so loud in her ears. She could feel her heart come to a stop, she could feel the ache in her chest as if he had reached in between her ribs and taken a hold of it. Everything was shattering, how tight her chest felt as she realized this. She rolled away from him pulling the covers tight around her and forcing her eyes shut. She could feel the burning, tears begging to be shed. She couldn't look at him. It was bad enough to feel him lingering on her skin, how his hand prints were forever bruised in her bones, holding her tight. She would never be able to wash him away, forever a lingering reminder of what could never be. They would always be sharing different heartbeats. She would not let him see her cry though, not now, not after he had already seen so many of her weakness. She refused to give him one more. She took a deep breath, a gasp of shaky air as she did her best to hold back the flood of emotions that so quickly were creeping to the surface again. She couldn't give him that though. He could never know, she would never tell him. words: 473 tag: PRESTON JANDON SHERWOODooc: and so the hurt really starts >.>

Preston felt the cold seep into the room as soon as she woke. Instead of the volcano he got the cold shoulder. Even if she said nothing it was completely clear that she regretted what happened and that hurt more than any broken bone he had ever had. He would rather face a pack of wolves than have her hate him and he feared thats where this was going. He didn't say anything though, he laid there in silence. Listening to her heart beat and her shaky breath willing his mouth to let the words she needed to hear slip past his lips. No words came, he couldn't reassure her when he wasn't sure himself. He didn't know where they would go from here but he knew they has to do something.
“Remember that day in the library, when you mentioned Ellie. I meant to tell you when I dropped off your Christmas present that we we're always just friends, I took her out for coffee as a thank you for helping me when I was wounded."
Well that was a start, he had so much he wanted to say but they would never be able to work as long as she hated what he was. He could protect her and her cousin but she couldn't let go of the guilt that came with being with him. He looked at the ceiling, an arm rested behind his head, he wanted to pull her close, to tell her he L...cared for her but it would only end in tragedy. At least Romeo and Juliet weren't afraid of their love, they were stubborn cowards and Preston hated that she made him this way.
"If you want me to take you back, I will if you want to stay you can...I don't have anything to do..so..."
He let his words trail off and bounce around the empty...he felt empty. Like he ruined everything for one night of passion. He didn't regret her, he couldn't regret anything to do with her but he felt guilty.

She almost wished she would die right there in that moment of silence between them. He knew this had been a mistake, or maybe it was just another drunken shag to him. Never love though. He had made that clear, never love. Never love. Each shaky breath brought her one step closer to losing it, to breaking down in front of him. His words broke the air, shattering the stillness. Any other words and she might have just laid there, her death wish repeating over and over in her head till it magically came. But to mention that girl, now of all times? It didn't matter if he was clarifying she found herself sitting up to look at him, the sheet wrapped tight around her. "You're bring her up now of all times? You think I really give a damn about her right now?" Maybe a part of her was glad to hear she had never meant a thing to him, but his timing, Merlin his timing. She had to look away from him though after her words stopped, the pain almost too much. She should have known better, she did know better. So why had she let this happen? How could she have let herself get so close? Didn't he see? Didn't he realize it wasn't regret of what was done it was of what could never be? Regret that she could still feel each kiss that he had pressed into her skin, each touch. Regret that he could fool her into thinking somehow, somehow last night had to do with something deeper than want. That some how this was not just some drunken night that it might have actually meant something. But it was just a lie, that's all they could ever be lies. Eyes burning red she found herself giving up, she was broken and it was his doing. He had made her this, but she had let him. She gave up and found herself falling to his chest pulling the covers over her head as the hot tears started to run down her face. Her arms wrapping tightly around him, how stupid she was, seeking comfort from the one who had broken her so beautifully. What difference would it make if he loved her? How could she live knowing the his truths. How could she be that person who always feared the moon, not because of what run under it but because she feared for him. What right did he have to deserve such compassion, such care, such...love. "I don't know what I want....not anymore....." She choked out the words though wet tears as she wrapped her arms tighter around him. The last person who she ought to have been with. This wasn't how it was supposed to happen. This wasn't the life she had been meant to lead. Hidden under covers she could only deny the world for so long. She would have to face her actions sooner rather than later, she would have to truly face him. Her lies were shattered, she had been her own undoing. words: 515 tag: PRESTON JANDON SHERWOODooc: <.<

Preston had the decency to look apologetic, he hadn't meant for it to come off the wrong way. He was terrible at comforting anyone that wasn't family, he was trying and failing to be a caring.....lover? Were they even that, for he knew this could be the end of what could've been.
"Sorry, im no good at comforting, if I was distressed over something and it involved another person, i'd want to know the person meant nothing. I was just trying to tell you that this wasn't just some fling or a moment of weakness...well yeah."
How easily she brought him to nervousness, as her tears fell against his chest, he couldn't allow his charade....his pride to affect this...them anymore. He wrapped his arms around her and rubbed her back soothingly as he would if his sister was crying. He winced at the comparison and shook those thoughts from his mind, this was not the place nor the time to be thinking of his sister.
"That's strange because I know what I want, but I know that I don't deserve such things. You're not alone in this, there's no way I can deny having....feelings towards you now"
He didn't mind her tight grip or the fact that they were getting know where, he wanted to keep her and at that moment she was in his bed and his arms. He wish he had the strength to let her go, he wish she had ran when he gave her the chance but now he was in too deep and not willing to lose. His selfishness would be the end of them or the beginning of his redemption.

His skin burned against her's, as if he was white hot fire, But she did not shy away. What sickness had taken root in her that made her craved this attention, to crave this false compassion as if she meant more than she did. She couldn't though, he could not be that cruel to her, could he? He had warned her from the start, he wouldn't go against his own words would he? They knew what this was when she chose him over Godfrey, one night. Just one night. But the night was over and day had come and here she was still trying to cling to the dark hours, cling to the false feelings shared in clouded judgement. She could only half listen to his words being slow lost in her head. He had always clouded her judgement, since that day when she thought he was choosing some one over him. The spark that burned them. His lies were sweet and easy to swallow, but she couldn't, not this time. She wiped her eyes and did her best to stop the tears before moving up his chest and out from under the blanket. Looking at him with red puffy eyes, how could he feed her such sweet lies he knew she would eat up? How could he do that to her? "Preston - please, please don't make this out to be something its not...please just - don't...it can't, you can't-" She tried to beg him, her voice cracking as she did her best to hold it together. Maybe she wanted him but could she live with her self if she admitted it? Live knowing she was in love with a monster. He could never change and neither could she. They would forever be two lines destined to intersect just once before going on their separate ways. "You know what this was - it cant be more....we can't - we can't do this." Could he hear how her heart broke with each word? Could he feel it, feel what he had done to her? She hadn't been looking for this all those months ago, she hadn't been looking for him. But here he was, the boy who left a gaping hole in her heart that would never be filled by anyone else. They had been two storms fighting one another, only his was the stronger one and she was the one who was left broken. "Please don't make this harder.....I-I-" No. She couldn't say it. He could never know, he could never hear the words fall from her lips. She had given him more than he had ever deserved from her that word would lay tucked behind her teeth for someone deserving. Even if she could only mean it for him. She could settle for less, she would have to. What choices were there? Just him. "Please don't do this to me..." Her plea nothing more than a whisper. He already knew how weak a resolve she had around him. He already knew where she stood. What she had given up so she could share it with him instead. "Please don't make me spell this out for you...." words: 528 tag: PRESTON JANDON SHERWOODooc: <.<

PJ froze but forced his body to remain unchanging, her words were like a bucket of cold water. I hope this isnt a foolish quest for love he never wanted to take back words so much in his live. Perhaps he was wrong for them but he knew he wasn't. It was different then, he was still trying to push her away to get her to see that he was wrong for her. Why didn't she see that she had done what he feared she'd do. He was just as addicted as she was and it was killing him...fast.
There was never any time for him to think before his eyes turned back to their normal coldness. He knew what he had to do, he knew what she wanted but at the moment he she was telling him the opposite.
"You never listen, I knew this would happen and you never walked away. I'll never understand why people do things when it's too late. I'm through with lying to you Bryony...if that's what you want then tough...the world isn't about what you want. Don't worry, I know you don't want to be with a monster...if you we can pretend this never happened."
He gently moved her to the other side of the bed as he got up and grabbed a pair of sweatpants. Picking up her clothes off the floor he change the color of her shirt and put her clothes on the bed. He had let himself be weak and it made him sick, he couldn't be in the same room with her...not when his emotions were wrapped around his heart like a vice. Every words she spoke pulled it tighter and tighter and he was sure he would break.
"Make this harder for you.....well at least your slytherin side is showing."
His voice was barely above a whisper as he walked towards the door leading to the living room. He froze his hand on the handle of door...don't do this to her...he had warned her....she had made them this way.
"That day in the library I wasn't trying to scare you off because I thought you were weak, I was trying to scare you off because you make me weak."
He couldn't do this anymore pretend that he was breaking...he knew how this would end she would leave like the last girl he brought into his heart. He wouldn't be around to see that happen.
"Don't worry I won't and I don't blame you....the fireplace is connected to the floo network and you get to the three broomsticks that way...If you want...or you can stay for breakfast."
He closed the door on the way to the kitchen not even bothering to look at the couch where their jackets were thrown. It had only been one day and she already haunted parts of his apartment. He would be spending all his nights either at school or the Manor...his apartment was haunted.
