Ever since that night, something hasn't been right. There was so much guilt on her shoulders, she really wasn't sure how to handle it. Not only did she get her friends to the attack late, causing Charlie to be turned into a vampire, she had ditched the one guy she has cared about in a long time that wasn't her family. Arya wasn't sure how Jarrod felt, or what he did after she left, but she was sure he wasn't the happiest with her. They had barely spoken and things were not resolved between them, but Arya would give anything to be by his side at the moment even though it just was not possible. It was the New Years party and she knew he was going alone, which was something that broke her heart. She wanted nothing more than to be his date again, but it wouldn't be a surprise if he didn't trust her anymore. She broke the one promise she made the day they met; that she would always be there for him, so it was hard to tell what he may think of her. It wasn't like Arya did it intentionally as she never knows when her dreams will be real, and she never knows when they will happen. She would never hurt him on purpose, and that's all she wanted him to know. The point was though, her friends were in danger and she was the only one who could have led them to stopping it. Wouldn't he have done the same? She told him she would explain, but just how much could she actually tell him? She wasn't sure, seeing as there were a lot of details that would out some of her friends. Still, she had to try to get back on good terms because she missed him and wanted him back in her life.
Dearest Jarrod,
I know you probably don't want to speak with me, but if you could, I'd appreciate it if you met me in the entrance hall.
AryaSitting on the bottom staircase in the entrance hall, Arya waited for him, wondering if he would even show. She wanted him to, but he was probably off having a good time with some other girl; someone who wouldn't disappear in the middle of it all. With a sigh, she looked down at her hands in her lap. She could feel the tears trying to push their way out, but she couldn't let them; she couldn't cry. How would that look if he decided to meet her? But a couple of tears did push through, and they slid down her cheeks as she thought of him and what she might be losing. If only that night didn't happen. If only Drew Reinhardt didn't have to go and screw it all up for everyone, things might be perfect right now. But they weren't, and it was something that only she could fix. JARROD CHAIM BADDOCK

darlin' stay with me When Jarrod received Arya's note, his heart fluttered. She wanted to meet with him? He wondered what for, secretly hoping for the explanation she'd been putting off giving him for why she left him. He wasn't sure what to think or what to do, really. It dawned on his mind as he sat at a table in the Great Hall with Rena, talking about how pointless love was and how it was so parasitcal. However, the more he talked down on it, the more he craved it - and not so much it as much as her. Arya had broke her promise, though. On the day they officially met, Jarrod had her promise to never leave him. The fact that she broke the very promise that brought them together so closely made his heart ache, made him angry to the core, but also made him want her more than ever. Now he knew she would never love him the way he loved her, and it broke his heart - or what was left of it.
He knew he was going to brave facing Arya, but he just wasn't sure what to say to her. Forgive her? How could he? He didn't know. Jarrod bid Rena goodbye and set off to the Entrance Hall with a strong will and determined demeanor. He was going to find out the reasoning for it all and for why she just up and abandoned him like that. He needed to know, and that desire fueled his anger. With a stern look on his face, he exited the Great Hall and found Arya, and then his heart really broke.
Jarrod noticed her wet face and immediately wanted to console her, to rush to her and hold her and to forget it all. He felt like he was the one who had to apologize, even though he hadn't done anything wrong. Why was that? He'd never been in a situation like this and didn't know what to do. All he wanted to do was tell her it was okay, tell her not to cry and comfort her. But then he remembered watching her walk away from him at the ball and leaving him there like a poor puppy...and then he'd run out and shut himself up in his bed for a few days, staring at the wall, occasionally crying, and punching himself in the gut times over to try and rid his heart of the pain she'd caused. As he looked at her now, he felt like that stupid lost puppy all over, and he really didn't like it.
"Are you alright?" he managed to say. Jarrod took a step forward, stopped, then sighed and took a few more steps before sitting down beside her. He took in her scent, her appearance, and it took all he had not to take her in his arms. He continued to look at her, finding her gaze and wanting her to answe his question. He felt mad, confused, and happy all at the same time, but mostly he felt love.

Her expectations weren't high and she never allowed them to be. Not when it came to someone else. She had learned from a very young age that she shouldn't allow herself to trust someone wholeheartedly; that she shouldn't hold these unreasonable standards that no one could meet. Arya could thank her parents for that and because of them, she wasn't sure she'd ever fall in love. Growing up, she believed that the closest thing to love she'd ever feel was the love she felt for her siblings, but that was no where near the same. And it was no where near the same feeling she felt for Jarrod. He was a surprise. He was someone who entered her life without warning and ended up moving in. She let him in quicker than anyone else and didn't even know her reason for it. It just felt right. But now she was sure she had lost him because she broke a promise; something she never wanted to do and never thought she would do. She was angry with Drew for his stupid actions, but she was even more angry with herself. Looking up, her brown eyes caught sight of him just as he walked in. Immediately she rose to her feet, but didn't know what to say. He showed up. Jarrod actually chose to come speak to her despite what she had done to him. In her mind, she didn't deserve it. She didn't deserve any kindness he could give her because she had left him; she had deserted him and at a dance to top it off. If she could do that to him then, would that mean she would so easily do it again? No. She couldn't because if she did, she would only be turning out to be just like her parents. They deserted the people they cared about, but that was not Arya. She would never do that and for good. It was one time and there had been a reason. Sure, she should have been honest with Jarrod from the beginning, but she didn't want to worry him and she didn't want him in danger. She was so conflicted on whether what she did was completely wrong or not. It felt as though she had done the worst, but she was keeping him safe by keeping the secret. But she couldn't stay quiet any longer. She promised an explanation when she left him and she would give him one when the time was right. "Jarrod..." His name slipped from her lips finally, her arms crossing nervously over her chest. Arya forgot about the tears that were slipping delicately from her eyes, her mind clearly on the boy before her now. She allowed herself to lower back down onto the step as he sat down with her, his question ringing in her mind. After what she did, he was still concerned. "Yes..." A lie. Wasn't it bad enough she hurt him before. The lies needed to stop, even if it was something as simple as how she was. "I mean.. no. I'm not." She told him, letting out a sigh before looking at her hands that lay in her lap again. "Jarrod... I'm so sorry for what I did to you."JARROD CHAIM BADDOCK
