Ian has fairly recently returned from a sabbatical abroad among the centaurs in Wales, where he spend a little over half the time since he graduated from Hogwarts. He works as a Flavour Creator at Flourean Fortescue's Ice Cream shop, where he has a reputation for his Frankenflavours - combinations that don't sound quite right (for ice cream) but are shockingly tasty. He's a natural storyteller, endlessly quirky and more than a little eccentric. Depending on their demeanor, some people will think he's completely batty, whereas others will find him captivating, more cunning than crazy, and see the intelligence below the surface. Ian has a way with small children, as well; he is nice, often to a fault, and looks to see the good in everyone, no matter how nefarious.

HARLEY TAYLOR ASHBROOK and IAN MACE INGRAHAM

This is Harley. She is my 17th year puff, and a total sweetheart. She is currently in a complex situtaion. She is having a fling with professor that really isn't going to last long, but she is totally sweetheart, and loves everyone. She is shy at first, but she is super nice once she gets to know you. She is flirty, so watch out. 

XAVIER ALEXANDER DAWSON

Xavier is my 6th year gryffindor male, and i can't think of any plots between these two. 

JAELYNN PAISLEY SCOTT

Jaelynn is my newest baby! Yay. She is a other adult like Ian yay!! she is my odd ball. She is bossy, sarcastic, funny, protective, and closed off, and slightly unfriendly. She is also timid. She is a hard one to get to know but once you do she is your friend forever, and she is single. She is 20 years old.

DAENERYS AVERY GREYBACK && IAN MACE INGRAHAM

Daenerys is my seventh year Slytherin werewolf. She obviously has a notorious last name and follows in her father's, Fenrir Greyback, foot steps without biting young children. She is a bit of a nasty little thing. I can only truly see these two being enemies, maybe not to the extent that the word enemy conjures up, but maybe she use to be rude to him and make fun of him. Other than that I can't think of anything else between these two unless your character would like to be a werewolf haha. 

REGAN CLEO ROSS && IAN MACE INGRAHAM

Regan is a 26 year old Auror who is so overly happy, although can be emotional, and is a bit of a motor mouth. Although their age difference, I can still see them being friends or at least associates. I could see Regan having strange conversations with your character.

ROQUE IVOR ZABINI && IAN MACE INGRAHAM

These two would have been three years apart in school for Roque is a sixth year Slytherin. He is not your typical Slytherin, although he can fluctuate between both worlds of prestige and normalcy, and can get along with anyone. Perhaps Roque admired the strange way Ian thought and maybe had a few conversations. Not sure if their associate would go much further than that. Let me know if you think of something else.  

LAWSON RYKER MCLAGGEN && IAN MACE INGRAHAM

Lawson is eighteen and a former Ravenclaw who now works as a nurse at St. Mungo's under the creature induced department. Lawson, during his school years, constantly kept trying to be the best and would attempt things above his skill level which landed him in the hospital quite often. This is where his love of helping people developed instead of being his usual competitive self he learned to put focus on others. Lawson is a friendly and endearing person. He can talk to anyone. His current problem right now is not being comfortable with his sexuality and has not come out about being homosexual which is now affecting his wand work since his wand does not operate properly if the caster is not being true to himself. I could see these two being friends or even best friends since they are close in age. I could also see, since you said Ian does not always come off as straight, Lawson developing a crush on him. This could lead to some form of drama in their friendship at some point.

Frustrating part... I had 80% of this written, accidentally jumped ahead to another page and when I went back what I'd written wasn't saved. So grr... let's try this again.

HARLEY TAYLOR ASHBROOK && IAN MACE INGRAHAM
Yes, there's an age difference (Harley would have been a ~5th year when Ian was a 7th year), but honestly I can see Ian - what with his penchant for storytelling and eccentricities - being more popular among those a couple years younger than him when he was at Hogwarts than he would have been with his immediate peers... even within Hufflepuff. He wasn't a prefect or chair of a club or anything, but he would have likely been memorable, particularly within his own house at least. I can't see any great reason for him to go back to Hogwarts - aside from a possible pilgrimage to meet with the centaurs in the Dark Forest - but he'll be on the Alley available for any friendly face.

XAVIER ALEXANDER DAWSON && IAN MACE INGRAHAM
Yeah, I'm struggling for some significant thread to connect them. More likely Ian is just one of those types that blends into the crowd, "that guy that has a face familiar from one time at school, who now works at Flourean Fortescue's." Probably pretty neutral disassociation unless something else presents itself and brings them together along the way.

JAELYNN PAISLEY SCOTT && IAN MACE INGRAHAM
Now this one I could see ending up some place. If only because Ian would likely view "closed off and slightly unfriendly" as the kind of tough nut that would need cracking through a little playfulness. Also, it's not so much that his sarcasm detector is broken but his roundabout way of responding to it (to the point where the speaker might even be questioning whether he's serious or seriously ribbing them) could make for fun threading.

Yes, I can definitely see her disliking him. Ian's a bit stubborn and may insist on trying to see the slim shard of good (or potential for it) in Daenarys until she wrongs him so badly forgiveness and hope is no longer an option. And yes, that leaves potential for quite a bit in either direction. I'm envisioning Ian as the sort of weirdo that bullies would be really unnerved by because he just doesn't seem rattle-able. The more spite they spit at him, the more he tries to make them feel valued. Sort of the hippie standing in front of the National Guardsman putting a flower in the barrel of a gun - as to whether that gun goes off in his face is another question entirely.

REGAN CLEO ROSS && IAN MACE INGRAHAM
I can see it. Happy people like ice cream, not to mention Regan sounds like a Puff; so they've got that going for them too. Age difference isn't really that big of a deal because in a weird way Ian's sort of an old soul, sort of like if you stashed the spirit of a Native American medicine man or shaman in the body of a 19-year-old half-gypsy.

ROQUE IVOR ZABINI && IAN MACE INGRAHAM
This could be interesting to flesh out. Ian's take on Slytherins is different from a lot of others. He takes the Hat at its word about them - they're ambitious, resourceful, and cunning. Those traits in and of themselves are not bad things; they're qualities Ian would fancy cultivating himself. The whole blood purity thing makes no sense to him, because he looks at things from a more natural, evolution of the species, "scientific" approach; so blood politics are only a divisive issue for him in that they're kind of boring. They're going to become a more pressing matter in a developing story for him, but there's some fun stuff that could be explored.

LAWSON RYKER MCLAGGEN && IAN MACE INGRAHAM
Yes! Could even branch the friendship back to Hogwarts days. Maybe add another fold of complexity to really throw Ian off his awareness of where Lawson's sexuality lies (not like it's going to matter one way or another to Ian, he just wants his friend to be happy, but would certainly make the surprise more of a WTF?! moment) where closeted Lawson did hold down a steady girlfriend at Hogwarts. This actually strikes a bit of a home chord with me because one of my best friends, and former roommate that I lived with for 4 years, is gay (though he's never been reserved about it so long as I've known him).
