BIRTHDAY: 25, April, 6th, 1998 PATRONUS: A Fluffy Sheep ABILITIES: Werewolf The Gist: Her full name is Marguerite Lutessa Rawlins, but she goes by Tess and only lets you call her Marguerite if you’re really close to her. Tess owns ‘The Missing Page’, a Hogsmede Bookstore. She likes helping others, solving mysterious and puzzles, defying the stereotypes on her species/curse, perusing her dreams, organization, knowledge, and peace and quiet. She hates pranksters, disobedience, fires, the full moon, haters, and mobs. She wants to be seen as her own person, and she’ll do what’s necessary to make sure people see her as a witch first, werewolf second. She’s terrified that she’ll kill someone, or worse-make them a werewolf. That she’ll be murdered for what she is. Tess likes to keep to herself often, but doesn’t mind company when it comes her way. She is a bit nerdy, considering her love for books, but most of her love for books comes from her constant search for more knowledge. Tess wants to be a walking-talking book resource that students and others can turn to. Overall, she is kind and reliable. She is a strong advocate for good and will make her opinions clear, but only when confronted. She lives in fear of being a werewolf, but she doesn’t let that fear rule her life 24/7. She comes off as shy and maybe a bit prejudiced at first, but that’s because she doesn’t know how people will react to her. However, she doesn’t keep being a werewolf a secret. She is always honest, and believes lying is only used when completely necessary. The history: mother: Moriette Rawlins, Muggle, 54 father: Matthew Rawlins, Muggle, 54 pets: A black owl named Ra history: Tess grew up in a muggle home until she received her Hogwarts letter. Her life was pretty plain and ordinary up to that point, nothing exciting to discuss. It took her parents weeks to accept that the letter was real. The only way they were able to accept it is because they remembered small times when strange things happened around Tess that they just chalked up to be coincidence. They decided to give this Hogwarts thing a try. Tess was always a cunning little girl, searching for new things and making things go her way whenever possible. It was no surprise to her when she entered the house that the hat sang of being for the cunning, ambitious and resourceful. Little did she know how much persecution she would get for being a ‘mud-blood’ in that house. It had been forever since that had happened, or maybe it had never happened at all. Her classmates made it clear that she didn’t belong. A few people where kind to her, but not many. Once, some children in her class in her fourth year pulled a terrible prank on her. They invited her to come study outside with them. She thought she had finally made some leeway in the relationship but soon discovered that the directions they had given her led to a dark place, where a werewolf was let loose by the classmates. Rumor was the werewolf was someone who attended school with them, but she never found out who. She approached the trees, hoping that she was in the right spot. She had followed the directions down to a tee. She even had arrived early because she wanted to show that she cared about making good relationships with her fellow Slytherins. After a few moments she guessed that nobody would be coming. She was just about ready to give up, but she decided to give them one more minute. That minute is what changed everything. Before she knew it the wold was on her, jumping from behind. It tore at her left shoulder and left her screaming. She did the first thing that came to her mind and cast a lumos spell in front of her, causing a blinding flash which distracted the wolf for a moment. She ran as fast as she could after that until she passed out a few hundred yards away from the trees. She still doesn't know who it was that carried her to the hospital wing and she didn't wake up until a day later. When she finds out who her savior was, she intends to thank them and offer them her services for life. She didn’t know what to do about the situation, so she looked to the head of Gryffindor house at the time for help. She was treated with kindness, mercy, and a potion to help control the wolf. Part of her wanted vengeance on her classmates, and some other classmates encouraged her to hurt them. But she wouldn’t do it. She wouldn’t wish this curse on anyone. Going back to her muggle home after the bite was the hardest thing she had ever done. Her parents didn’t want to send her back to school, and she was locked up that entire summer. Eventually, they listened to her pleas that attending school was the best thing for her to find more ways to control the beast. But, they still didn’t let her out during her other summers home. After graduating Hogwarts, she took a few years off exploring what it meant to be a werewolf. She stayed away from people, spent time with animals and other werewolves trying to be good. She made a lot of good friends during that time, but decided to open a bookstore a few months ago. She decided it was time to make her way back into society, and she knew she could trust herself by now to be among other people and in control. But occasionally, when school isn’t in session or she needs a break, she sneaks far away from the grounds and spends time as a wolf for a night. Being a wolf is part of her identity now, and she knows it. Tess doesn’t allow herself to be hateful, and tries her best to be a great asset to the students who visit Hogsmede and need books to read that aren’t your usual school library style, or to even by student books on clearance. hey guys, my name is Suzie! and I am rocking it at 23 years old, role-playing for roughly 10 years - so i'm pretty chill with anything. i'm in the mountain west time zone, and hail from USA so how about that! currently my character looks just like Cassidy Freeman or so i am told!
