 Danathon Carmichael Seventeen Half Blood 7th year, Gryffindor Elm, Hippogriff feather, 12” LIKES: Quidditch, Animals, Friendship, Teamwork, Jokes, Making Memories, Supporting Others, Being Loyal, Giving Advice (even if it turns out to be bad advice), his twin sister and vegetarian food. DISLIKES: Boredom, animal cruelty, meat, brats, cliques, fake friends, bullies and snobs. BOGGART: Being attacked by an animal he is caring for. MIRROR OF ERISED: To create an equal world for animals and other species, to open nature reserves and special programs to make this happen. PATRONUS: it changes based on what animal he is most rooting for that week, but usually it is a Hawk. ABILITIES: None PERSONALITY: Danathon is kind of a hippy. He is a vegetarian, a sweetheart and passionate for animal rights. He has an innocent until proven guilty attitude about people and always wants to be a good friend. He gets in trouble a lot for missing classes and causes riots due to his beliefs in animal rights. He basically refuses to go to potions class unless forced, because of all the animals parts used in the potions. He is constantly in detention because of this and similar reasons but doesn’t care, his passion is strong. He’s a classic teenage boy at heart though, and loves just messing around and doing things with his friends. If he someone in trouble he will try to help the best way he can. He’s not the kind of guy who goes around flirting with everything that breathes/walks/talks etc. If he is interested in you he’ll let you know, but only one girl at a time. As the years have gone on Dan has made a few very close friends, and a lot of great acquaintances. He tries to make it very clear that he always give people a fair first chance. But once you are on his bad side, which would mostly only happen if you were mean to an animal, then it’s nearly impossible to get back in his good graces. He fits in well in a crowd, but tries not to stand out. The only place he chooses to stand out is on the quidditch pitch. After his first year when the game was more fully introduced to him, he practiced all summer and for years until he finally tried out and made the team fourth year. He’s been a keeper on the team ever since and loved every minute of it. It’s a great place to make friends and have an influence. MOTHER: Kayla Logan Carmichael FATHER: Eddie Carmichael SIBLINGS: Gabrielle Mari Carmichael, 18 A twin sister, 17th, Hufflepuff House PETS: He has a large assortment at home of ones he brought home as a child (and still brings home on occasion) but this year he brought his orange and gray cat named Marvin. HISTORY: Danathon was born, along with his twin, second in the Carmichael family. His father, Eddie, was quite a character at Hogwarts. “He was Sorted into Ravenclaw house, and achieved nine "Outstandings" in his O.W.L exams. He claimed his success was down to Baruffio's Brain Elixir, and attempted to sell it to younger students. Hermione Granger stopped him and confiscated the potion.” (info retrieved from here). His father’s old stories of his Hogwarts days and the famous Hermione Granger confiscating his ‘lifeline’ was always amusing to Dan. Danathons childhood was nothing special, he grew up in a very loving household where is mother, Kayle, taught him and his siblings all about the muggle side of things. Danathons mother is the reason he has such a strong love for animals. She is a veterinarian and would bring Dan to work all the time to help, which usually meant he got to play with the animals that were waiting for her attention. She would often give him speeches about how all of Gods creatures are equal, and that he should never cause harm to others. He took all of this too heart, maybe a little too much considering his troublesome record at school. As mentioned previously, Dan found out early on that he loved Quidditch and wanted to be on the team. He tried out his third year just to get his name in but made the team his fourth year. Ever since then the game has been an escape for him, causing him to have a place to really relax and stop worrying about all his passions, schoolwork and life in general. One of Dans best and favorite experiences at school was in his fifth year. It was time for their final potions exam and he was actually going to go, mostly because his parents were very unamused with his marks, but something stopped him along the way. As he was passing by a large window that oversaw the lake he looked down and saw a terrible sight. Some no-good seventh years had somehow captured a merperson and were trying to drag it into shore. Dan instantly summoned his broomstick and broke through the window with a spell. Glass showered the hall as he went but didn’t care. Before they knew it, those two seventh years where tied up in their own fishing nets and struggling for air in the shallow part of the lake. Dan received three weeks detention for that, but at least the merperson was free. Now he's up and ready to go through the summer after Graduation, that is, if he actually shows up for his N.E.W.T.S. hey guys, my name is Suzie! and I am rocking it at 23 years old, role-playing for roughly 10 years - so i'm pretty chill with anything. i'm in the Mountain West time zone, and hail from USA so how about that! currently my character looks just like Tyler Blackburn or so i am told!
