Cole Nott couldn't believe that he hadn't seen his little sister since the Holidays. He couldn't believe that he had been so neglectful. He had been so worried about Katrina and had been making sure not to ignore her so much that he had been ignoring his own sister. He hated himself for that. How had things changed so much? Thalia was his best friend. The two used to be inseparable. He knew that they would grow slightly apart as they grew up, but he never meant for this to happen. He had never meant to ignore her all together. He knew that she would be upset about it, and he wouldn't blame her in the slightest, but he wanted to make it right. He wanted to spend time with her. He wanted them to be close again.
So, Cole walked into the familiar village of Hogsmead: the place where he had spent so many weekends of his life exploring and hanging out with friends. He had sent his sister an owl and asked her to meet him here. He knew that she would be busy with school and her prefect duties, but he hoped that she would make some time to see him, even if she felt ignored by him, hopefully, she wanted the same thing that he did. He sat on a bench in the village and waited for her. It was a nice day, the sun was out, but a few clouds kept it from getting to hot. THALIA EILEEN NOTT((Hopefully this works ))

With getting everything she had going on in her life, Thalia wasn’t sure how she was even managing to stay on her two feet, let alone make any more free time to go off and visit her brother. As much as she absoloutely adored Cole, this could not have come at a worse time. She needed to attend one last fitting for Rosalie’s wedding, she needed to study for her exams - again, because she was taking eleven N.E.W.T.s and would probably try to take more if she could convince Professor Gimp to let her sit in on the other exams - she needed to be patrolling and attending to the clubs. She had to hand the mantel off to a lot of people, even if she wasn’t particularly happy about it. She was going to miss Hogwarts more than she would have ever, otherwise, anticipated. The place had become a makeshift home for her where she was free to pursue ideas and liberties that she wouldn’t otherwise have been able to. She had finally figured out what she was going to do with her life. It had been something she had seriously been struggling with her. On one hand, she was sure that her Uncle Philo wanted her to take some sort of job away from the Ministry. Her parents, on the other hand, were pushing her to do something ‘respectable’.
She had come up with her own sort of solution. It hadn’t been one that she had spoken about with a lot of people. In actuality, she could think of exactly the one person she had told: Wallace. She planned to make it a second person by the end of the night, if all went well. She would base whether or not she told her family or anyone else based on Cole’s reaction. After all, this was extremely important than her. Though, despite his incredibly bad timing, Thalia was very glad that she was going to be able to see her brother again. It had been too long. She had seen her brother over the Holidays, but she had been preoccupied even then. Cole also had professional Quidditch. She hadn’t been able to get out and see any of his matches, but she resolved to do so before she started her career. She was sure that she could convince Wallace to come with her. And, if he couldn’t, then she would be absolutely sure to get Kat to come with. The blonde looked herself in the mirror once more, making sure to cast a refreshing charm. Her face looked a little too tired for her own liking. She also managed to brush her hair into reasonable curls rather than keep it in the tight bun she tended to do when she was studying.
When she turned around to make sure that she looked presentable, she managed to catch that there was a little bit of her shirt that had remained untucked. Once she had fixed that, she nodded to herself and made her way out of her dorms and up the stairs in order to make her way to Hogsmeade. She hoped that she wouldn’t be too late to catch her brother. It would simply make her feel awful if he had gone out of his way to clear some time with her - and she had gone and cleared the next couple of hours to see him - only to see that they had missed one another by a couple of seconds. The Nott family had almost always been very punctual. It was rare to see anyone extremely late, but one could never know with the type of luck she had. Thalia almost managed to get there in record time, too, although she had to admit that she had cheated a little. Once she had reached the outside gate of Hogwarts, she had closed her eyes and sucked in a breath. Now she had a year of apparating, she was finding that the skill was coming to her easier and easier. With a loud crack, she landed softly on the grass and looked around. “Cole!”

Truth be told, it wasn't just Thalia that Cole had been ignoring. Ever since his conversation with his granduncle Philo in the book shop in Diagon Alley, Cole had been ignoring his parents too. His mother especially. Their last conversation had been less than favorable: he had told her that he was having Kat move in with him and he wasn't willing to wait until they were married, or even until they were engaged. It was going to happen soon. As soon as Kat graduated, she would be coming home to him. He had considered picking her up at the Station with a large bouquet of roses. Of course, his mother had been less than pleased with the idea. But that wasn't even in the worst of her behavior. Finding out that she had been exiling Philo and Jill had nearly caused Cole to want to disown her. He understood her reason: Jill was a muggle. But that didn't mean that she and uncle Philo weren't part of the family. Her behavior had made Cole sick and he wasn't sure that he was ready to see her again. One thing was for sure: she could count her and Kat out of any family trip they were planning for the summer holidays. The two were going to Paris and staying in Philo's summer home.
Cole's face lit up when he heard his sister call his name: Thalia had been his best friend for as long as he could remember and he had forgotten how much he loved spending time with her. "Look at you, Little Sister. You look as put together as ever." Cole teased and hugged her tightly, picking her up off the ground a little, mostly just to mess with her because he was sure that she would complain that he was wrinkling her outfit or something of the sort. "How have you been? How's testing?" He asked.

Ideologies tended to differ over the years. At least, that was what was supposed to be the case. Thalia always figured that she was somewhat odd from a lot of people. She was very much aware of just how prejudice her mother tended to be, but she was also aware of how indifferent her father was. Out of the two of them, the blonde definitely looked more like her mother. She even had her mother’s sarcastic sort of patronizing smile. But, her beliefs and the way she acted tended to be more like her brother. This year’s Head Girl definitely didn’t wear her heart on her sleeve. Her face didn’t turn a shade of red when she was embarrassed unless she had been caught incredibly off guard. When she felt like crying, she knew better than to be out in public and let people see giant tear dripping off her face. Any tear she had, she saved for the pillow. It had been one of those subtle lessons that she had learned when she had been younger. So, while she had nothing personal against Muggles, she didn’t go out of her way to hug them and welcome them into the family. Even her Aunt Jill, she kept her at a careful distance. This, unfortunately, left a cautious distance between her and her Uncle as well. While she had gotten increasingly well at keeping how uncomfortable she tended to be when they acted affectionate towards her.
There were things that she could stand, of course. When Cole picked her up and twirled her around, she could stand that. She let herself laugh a little. But, when he put her back down, the very first thing she did was make sure that everything was straightened out. In the process, some of her hair had managed to end up on the wrong side of her part. She’d made sure that she had fixed that as well as pull her skirt down a little to maintain that her outfit would continue to be appropriately cute. “Of course I am.” She said, letting a little sass enter her tone. If there had only ever been one moment where Thalia Eileen Nott hadn’t looked her absolute best. It had been fifth year when she had been so stressed. She hadn’t exactly been managing her time very well. To put it bluntly, she had been a wreck. She had pretty much taken up an entire corner of the common room. People tended to leave her alone. She’d built a wall of books around her and had been silently dying in the corner when Darrius had peeked his head over what she had been doing. He seemed to shocked to see her hair all over the place. It’d continuously gotten in her way while she had been trying to paint a map for History of Magic. There had been paint collecting her hair in clumps.
It hadn’t been pretty, but Thalia had never let herself look like that again. It had been embarrassing, to put it lightly. And, that had been back when the blonde had had a crush on him, too; before Wallace. But, today wasn’t about thinking about the past. Today was about spending time with her brother. Her brother that she likely wouldn’t see again for a while as she’d go off and work in the Ministry while he balanced his Quidditch career and his new roommate. “I’ve been doing well. I’m pretty sure I’ll get O’s across the board. I’m trying to get them to agree to let me sit in on some of the exams I didn’t take and see if I can pass them. I want to set a record.” Not because she needed to or anything like that. She was pretty sure that she already had a trophy in the trophy room for being amazingly involved in anything, but she didn’t want to brag. Instead, she beamed up at him. “Congratulations to you, brother mine. I heard you guys won your last game?”

There wasn't an ounce of surprise in Cole's entire body when he heard that his sister was trying for Outstanding's in all of her NEWT tests. He had done the same thing and had been more or less successful (having gotten a few E's due to not drinking enough coffee before the exams and thus falling into a sort of caffeine induced slump about 3/4th of the way through the written portion. It had been a low point for the young man. Luckily enough though, no one of the world of professional Quidditch cared even a little how well he did on anything related to school, he knew that half of his team hadn't even managed A's. They were all a nice bunch of people, though. Over the last year, he had gotten to know and quite enjoy the company of his teammates. He figured that if he was going to have to spend every day with them either in the gym or on the pitch, it would make live so much easier if he liked them and vice-versa.
"Just makes sure to caffenate." Cole said, this was his biggest piece of advice to his little sister. He knew that she was as much of a coffee fan as he was. But considering she didn't also have Quidditch practice tiring her out, she'd be more likely to actually sleep, even if only for a few hours every day. "Yeah, we won, though no one was really surprised." Cole admitted with a shrug. Thanks to the amount of time spent in the gym lifting weights and on the pitch performing flying drills of all sorts, he wasn't at all surprised that his team had been doing rather well. In fact, thanks to his accuracy as a beater (including his stats regrading injuries on the other team and the safety of his own) Cole wouldn't be surprised if he was being named captain this year. He had kept his eye on the title ever since he joined the team. He had gone from being Slytherin captain, to just a player. He wanted his title back. "Are you going back with mum and dad after school's finished?" he asked. As soon as he had graduated, he had moved out on his own. He didn't want to live with his parents anymore. He loved them, yes. And he respected his father. But his mother normally just gave him a headache. "I suppose you hear that Katrina is moving in with me." he added.
