Blessed Be to All Those Who Join Us Tonight In Celebration Ah, the final arrival of Samhain had finally come to be. Tonight was the night celebrated by all Wiccans and even of those of not Wiccan culture. Although those not raised in a Wiccan family often referred to this night as Halloween. But for Andalasia, this night was so much more than her heritage. Tonight was the night of her seventeenth birthday. Not only was tonight her recognition as a legal muggleborn witch in the Wizarding world, but her legal recognition as an adult in Wiccan society. She would no longer be thought of as a child by either group.
As she gave her final inspection over her newly acquired gown, Alasia's reflection showed that of a young witch that stood with confidence and a sense of pride. The gown she was wearing was custom made by a Wiccan family friend who specialized in making gowns for the introduction of young wiccan adults into the society. Her gown, which was floor length held a pale whiteness that could be compared to the moon. The dress had various areas in it where the color seeped into blue-gray hues to represent the shadows of the night and the personified goddess of night; Nyx. Around her neck; her mother's Triple Goddess necklace that stood for the Maiden, the Mother, and the Crone. Or it simpler terms, the Waxing Moon, the Full Moon, and the Waning Moon. Approving of her final look and what she was representing tonight, Alasia walked over to her bed and picked up her mask. The mask itself was a unique little trinket. It held the hues of her beloved Ravenclaw house. The mask was made in a Venetian style with diamonds outlining it. It was composed of very light weight metal. But what truly made this mask unique was the detail on the left side. The left side of the mask flowed into a fully shaped butterfly. Tying the two delicate black ribbons together to hold her mask in place, Alasia picked up one of the white candles her grandmother had sent her for tonight and lite it with her wand before leaving the safety of her dorm with the candle gripped lightly in her hands.
As she made her way down from Ravenclaw Tower, Andalasia sent small blessings to all those that she had passed on her way to the Great Hall. Each blessing a little bit different than the last since each person was unique. As she came to the entrance of the Great Hall, she asked for protection of all those in attendance to night before entering and making her way past fellow housemates and peers. She paid no attention to the strange looks she was receiving from some as she made her way up to an area that was decorated with various Halloween crafts. Setting her single white candle down into a single brass Wiccan Candelabra that she had had set up for her Samhain Blessing, Andalasia gave a bow as she sent a final blessing and prayer up to the Goddess Nyx. Turning around, she made her way over to one of the refreshment tables to get a small glass of water aware that there were still several people watching her every movement since her arrival.
