The world that Brian lived in was getting turned upside down. Everything he always knew had been getting flipped into a completely different meaning. The oldest child of Marcus and Laurie Flint was trying to work through those things that seemed to ever changing. He'd been stressed with different types of work. After finding out from Nicholas that their father had still been trying to drop the hints that he should come work with Brian. That was something that Marcus always did to the younger brother. Nicholas and Brian should work together, that's what Marcus had always wanted in the end. Brian went through with the plan and Nicholas did not, Nicholas had a lot more in his plans than just being their father's lap dog. Brian couldn't blame him but the fact that Marcus continued to try and get Nicholas to come work for him.
It was early in the morning and Brian didn't have to work at the ministry today. He was going to go out and enjoy some of the things that he'd been meaning to before he had to do some trading and head over to the shop fronts to make sure all was well. Between the ministry and his night job Brian tended to be incredibly busy and then to add the shop fronts that actually ran like legitimate businesses. Brian felt like he had so many different jobs and honestly having his brothers help wouldn't be that bad. The oldest Flint child had the same pride as his father though. He wasn't about to be asking anyone for any help of any kind, especially his younger brother. Because of this he was an incredibly busy man.
This morning Brian climbed out of his bed and put on some pajama pants and long sleeved white sweater before going out onto his patio. He looked down onto the muggle world that was around him. He'd honestly grown accustomed to muggles but still couldn't stand the thought of mingling with muggleborns. He had no problems with the people who bore the children that ended up being the muggleborn children that he'd gone to school with. No magic prior in their family. The parents, the normal muggles he had no problem with at all. In fact he found they made some good food in their restaurants. After he chilled down outside he walked back in and made himself some breakfast and then got ready for the day. He showered before getting dressed into some nice clothes. A button up white shirt and some black pants. The young man had always been taught to dress to impress. He'd always worn nice clothes and just because it was a down day, well that didn't make it any different.
Once he got ready he had to run some errands in Diagon Alley and Knockturn Alley. He had quite a busy day still ahead of him. He didn't live that far from The Leaky Cauldron so he decided to throw on a coat and walk himself down there. There was no need to find a place to apparate. He liked the location in the upscale London apartment building. He never thought he'd live there but he liked the convenience.
First he figured he could stop in Knockturn Alley. He had an item he needed to drop by Borgin and Burkes and he could browse around a bit before doing his actual shopping up in Diagon Alley. He liked the quietness of Knockturn Alley, there was something about it that made it good. The majority of people didn't bother you unless you had something to offer them or you knew them. That was the nice thing.

A Ministry worker.
That was what Keira needed in her army - someone on the inside, someone willing to extract information for her. Someone who could get in with the Department of Transportation and ensure, for the future, that the Black Army's movements were secure. When one of Keira's followers suggested Brian Flint, Keira was unsure, as she always is, about the prospect of him in her army. Keira knew not to trust just anyone but, because one of her own suggested the man, she decided to look into him. His credentials were flawless and his family history of being a Flint made him a perfect candidate for the Black Army. Keira decided to approach him, regardless of the risk that he might dismiss her attempts and simply try to take her in to the Ministry. Keira would have to kill him, of course, to ensure her secrecy. Still, Keira had a good feeling about approaching Mr. Brian Flint about becoming a member of the Black Army.
She stood in a dark alley corner that morning and waited for him as his schedule suggested. She waited outside his upscale London apartment and followed him, discretely, to The Leaky Cauldron. Keira wore a pair of dark denim jeans, black boots that sat just beneath her knees, and a black cloak with its hood sitting low at the back of her head. Her blond curls peeked out from behind it and she looked as though she were a normal witch otherwise, but, of course, if anyone knew what she was really up to, they would have killed her on the spot. With all those killed in the University bombing and the Muggles destroyed in her most recent attack, Keira was surely to be murdered quickly if she was found out. Thankfully, she didn't think she would be. Not before she was ready to reveal herself, that is.
Keira disappeared down Knockturn Alley quickly as Brian took his time waltzing toward Borgin and Burke's. The shop was familiar to Keira, as was the owner. Keira trailed from the shadows and stood outside the shop, her arms crossed over her chest and one foot over the other, leaning against the old brick wall. She tilted her chin down and, when Brian's footsteps were near, finally looked up. Her blue eyes revealed nothing as they met with those of Mr. Flint and, coolly, she said, "Good day."

Brian was usually completely aware of his surrounding. Maybe the fact that he wasn't working in anyway was what made him let his guard down but normally a person following him since his apartment, well to say the least he'd catch onto that. He had business to go about and things to get done. Maybe it was that his mind was elsewhere. There was not much that wasn't on his mind in all honesty. Lately, he'd been not only doing the work of multiple people with his father's business but he'd also been busy with the commotion at the ministry with all the attacks that had been happening. There was also the fact that he'd met a beautiful girl in Hogsmeade and then the messaging with his sister. He was supposed to have dinner with her while she was on holiday.
His blue eyes scanned the alley ways as he walked through them. The people who were around him, who knew that the one person that he should have been watching was the one that was following him. The windows in the shops of Diagon Alley were still cheerful from the holiday gone past. He was still getting over the whole holiday thing. Working hard to adjust to everything that had happened.
Then there was the attack the day after Christmas on the muggle village. He understood the university and unless this particular muggle village spawned a lot of mudbloods then he didn't understand that attack. To say that his mind had been in about a thousand different places could be a little bit of an understatement. He'd learn to figure out where to place it all afterwords. He had to find a place for his thoughts or he'd never be able to think clearly.
As he made his way to Borgin and Burke's a rather good looking blonde girl spoke to him from the entrance. Quickly his hand went to where he placed his wand in his cloak. Who could blame him? Knockturn Alley wasn't exactly somewhere you wanted people to pop out at you. If you were needed, people tended to pop out, but no matter what happened it was something that happened completely naturally, the hand that was placed on the wand. His blue eyes matched into hers and he raised his brows as she said ”Good day.” He thought for a moment. What could this girl want with him? He gave a slightly smile. ”Not many people interrupt your shopping here just to say 'Good day.'”
