HISTORY:
Aoibhe was born to Alessandra and Keenan Monahan on May 27th. From a young age, Aoibhe was quite reserved and quiet. She grew up within an equally magical and muggle environment due to the fact her mother was a muggleborn witch so she is fairly familiar with things from both sides of the fence. Aoibhe will often forget that not everyone knows about things like Peter Pan, microwaves, telephones and other such things that she grew up knowing about. Aoibhe did not have many friends as a child, partly due to her family being seen as odd a well as the fact that she couldn't quite relate to children her own age despite many attempts on her part to do so.
Aoibhe was excited when she got her Hogwarts letter as she had high hopes that Hogwarts would be the place to find kindred spirits. When she arrived at the school, the sorting hat debated between Ravenclaw and Gryffindor before ultimately placing her in Gryffindor. Aoibhe was disappointed to find that she still did not quite know how to relate to others and no one was attempting to do so with her so she eventually gave up and started keeping to herself. During a Christmas break in her second year, Aoibhe witnessed her father being romantic with a woman who was not her mother. The girl discovered that her mother already knew about the mans affair and revealed to Aoibhe that her father had been running around with other women for many years already.
These revelations caused Aoibhe to have a chip on her shoulder and planted the seed that would grow into severe trust issues. Aoibhe became quite cold to the male race for the next couple of years until she met a couple of people that helped change that. Aoibhe was surprised to find that she had somehow managed to befriend these people despite them being around the same age as her. Aoibhe even developed a crush on one of her friends though she never confessed it as she always thought of herself as plain and dull, therefore doubting that there would be any interest returned. Aoibhe remained good friends with her small group for quite a few years before losing touch after graduation as each went their own ways.
Aoibhe, upon reflection, realized that despite everything, Hogwarts was more home to her than anywhere else. With this thought in mind, she pursued a job within the school and was pleased when she landed one of the positions in the school hospital wing. The job suited both her personality and temperament which allows her to highly enjoy it despite some of the chaos that comes through the doors.
