Born on October 18th to Christopher and Linda Urquhart, Alexander was the first boy and oldest child born in the family. He was raised to be a very ambitious person who could reach for the stars if he wanted to. He was cared well by his mother and father. His father though was a busy man. He had been a healer at St. Mungo's so when emergencies happened it seemed like dear old dad hadn't been there much. Only two years after Alex had been born his younger brother was born and the two were incredibly close. Alex was always keeping his eye on his younger brother and became pretty protective over him. They grew up close and had always been taught that no matter what they were they were to respect each and everyone the same way they wanted to be. While the family were purebloods and held strong to that fact that they needed to be purebloods, the family never held strong that associating with anyone other than purebloods was a bad thing.
Alex had been home schooled with his brother under their mothers teachings. This was how he learned all there was to know in the world of magic. Simple teachings but also learning how to read and write properly. His mother held the boys to strong expectations, she wasn't about to have either of her sons being incapable of being able to do school work when they got to Hogwarts.
It seemed every few days the young Alexander changed his ideas of what he wanted to be when he grew up. One day he even wanted to be a mermaid, another he wanted to be a dragon and then the day came when he was seven years old and his father took him to bring your son to work day. That day has since been the day that he's wanted to be a healer. No questions asked that was what Alex was going to be one day even if it meant that was going to be a busy life. Alex has held onto that day ever since.
If Alex had been born only a month and a half earlier he would have been on track to going to Hogwarts right as he turned eleven, instead though he was born in the middle of October. Which meant nearly an entire year after he turned eleven he would have to wait to go to Hogwarts. It couldn't happen any sooner but that summer before he was to go and he got his Hogwarts letter, it was one of the best days of his life. Being able to go off to school and do what his entire life up to that point has led up to. Going to Diagon Alley to get all of the school materials was nice and his wand, that was by far the most spectacular part. His very first wand, who wouldn't be happier. He also got an owl that he named Scoops and that way he could write to his parents when he needed to.
The day to board the Hogwarts Express for the first time was exciting and he met plenty of people. While waiting to board he met a girl, she was a Weasley girl that was very nice but he had friends already and found them on the train and sat with them and chatted. That was one of the nice things about growing up in the wizarding world, you knew people when you were a first year. It seemed like they were being brought together the girl, Dominique, and him. After they had reached Hogsmeade Station and the first years all boarded into the boats, there she was again, this time with a few of her family members that were also first years. They really began talking and talked all the way up until he was sorted. He hopped up onto the stool and had the sorting hat placed upon his head. It deliberated for a few moments. Slytherin and Ravenclaw, Ravenclaw and Slytherin, he was incredibly ambitious the hat told him and his father had been in the house so naturally he was happy to go into it. He hopped off the stool and went to sit at the Slytherin house table. Meanwhile after him Dominique was sorted into Gryffindor. He spent many of classes chatting with the Gryffindor girl. They became great friends.
As the years at Hogwarts went by Alex focused on working hard toward his dream of being a healer. It meant buckling down and worrying about studies over some other things. Two years after he came to Hogwarts it was his brother's turn and he was sorted into Hufflepuff. Alex was glad to have his brother at school now. He made a great deal of friends and was glad to He didn't realize that he had a think for Dominique until he was in his fourth year. Maybe that was when he first started being attracted to girls as a young man. It wasn't something that he knew could be a mutual feeling. He was glad to have her as a friend and wasn't about to come out and say something if it wasn't a shared feeling.
Fifth year was interesting with O.W.L.s but he passed everything that was necessary to become a healer. He had worked hard for that moment and had been so excited that he could continue with what he needed to be a healer. And now that he's in his sixth year and having a good time in his life he's excited to start relaxing a bit before he has to get amped back up for his N.E.W.T.s. Everything's about to get a lot more busy.
