claircognizance - this is a more specific branch of clairvoyance. It is being able to know something through the means of a complex mind, whereas other branches you have to touch, taste, or smell something to get a sense of the desired subject. This is the power to know something, or have previous knowledge of it, without actually knowing how you obtained this information.
Jaida's ability was inherited from her grandmother on her maternal side; her name Judy Anne Hawkens. It had been passed down through generations in females of the family, and it has been known to skip a generation; hence why Andrea does not have this ability. Jaida, when she is seeing something, can only catch a voiceless scene.
It's like a short film, and sometimes the visions in her mind have very bad quality. But the voicelessness is made up by her power to have a summary implanted in her head as the scene plays. Example; Jaida might walk into a room and start seeing a vision of two women in Victorian dresses yelling at each other. She may not be able to hear them or understand them, but her mind is able to fill her in on what is going on - kind of like a short summary if that makes any sense.
Jaida's ability had started forming at the mere age of five, but it has definitely developed. Throughout her years of aging, she had been getting hints of her power, but she has been clueless about it. Only in her seventh year, has she started to look into it. As said, her visions have evolved over the years; she hopes one day they will be of better quality and she will actually be able to hear what is going on. But for now, they are kind of bad quality wise. Also, during these visions, Jaida kind of just locks up. Her gaze kind of obtains this lifeless look, her breathing slows, and she doesn't move. You could hit her in the head and she would only feel it once the vision once done.

MOTHER: Andrea Davis Henderson [Murphy]
FATHER: Jackson James Jace Henderson
SIBLINGS: N/A
HISTORY: Jaida was born on October 15th. Andrea, her mother, was thirty five, and her father thirty six. At that time, her father worked for the Daily Prophet and had some very famous works of his own published. Her mother on the other hand was a immensely renowned auror; she would sometimes travel to other countries for work but would always hurry back if something eventful related to Jaida occurred. Throughout most of her childhood, Jaida was spoiled rotten. Both her parents had good jobs, and so they brought in a nice amount of wealth. At the age of five, the small family moved in a mid sized manor in Wales. Jaida was never more happy; she had a house with at least ten rooms to run around in. She had never really taken time out of her day to count.
At the age of five, Jaida's mother had went off on a journey to Romania to catch an infamous wizarding thief that was stealing muggle artifacts - such as the famous painting of Mona Lisa. She was only expected to be gone five weeks, and after five months of her mother being absent, Jaida finally realized her mother wasn't coming back. Upon realizing Jaida knew that her mother wasn't returning, her father had lied saying that Andrea had been tortured and murdered by the wizarding thief. Traumatized, Jaida spent weeks in room only eating enough to survive. She, at that time, had felt abandoned.
Later that year, Jaida had been rambling through her fathers office while he was out on a date. It was only then she had discovered recent letters from her mother addressed to her. Jaida was shocked; she looked at the latest one and realized it was only addressed a week ago, and in it, her mother stated that she was sorry, she just didn't love Jackson anymore, and that Jaida could come and visit her in London anytime she wanted. Jaida did not, in fact, go to London, but stayed in Wales. She learned being abandoned and betrayal were the worst two feelings. Jaida vowed never to trust anyone fully again.
Throughout her remaining years in which she would spend at home, she remained almost silent, always with her nose in a book. Her father never noticed because he was too busy out on dates with young harlots. At the age of eleven, everything went as planned. She had received her letter, went to Diagon Alley with her father, and caught the train to Hogwarts. But in the middle of the night, while her father and her were staying at the three broomsticks so she could catch the train the next day, she sneaked off to visit her mother. Upon arriving at her moms, she was sickened at how her mother reacted. Andrea looked at her as if saddened by JJ's presence. Jaida cursed her mother and her mom's new boy toy out that night before returning to the three broomsticks.
Her first year was quite average, other than being bullied, Jaida thought that it was good. She spent most of her time studying, reading, and writing stories; one of which was praised by her transfiguration teacher whom was a published author. Returning that home Summer, nothing had changed. Her father still only left his office to go on dates, and never once said anymore than ten words to her. Jaida can recall crying herself to sleep most nights; she felt quite unwanted, and at times that seemed to be very true. She was actually happy to return to Hogwarts for her second year; she had different look on life. After crying all night the last night before school began, she can remember her change in personality. Jaida was no longer that passive little girl that was easily insulted.
The second year of schooling for Jaida was completely different. The way she carried herself, the way she said things, the way she dressed were all reformed. Maybe that turned her male peers on, but everyday they swarmed her for dates to numerous things; one guy even invited her to study with him. She felt way better than she did at her father's house, and ten times that than she did in front of her mom. Near the end of the year, a girl whom Jaida had angered tried to duel her. JJ had no idea what to do, but she learned quickly. The other girl ended up in the hospital. Jaida was very proud of herself, and she wasn't even punished because it was self defense. The rush that dueling gave her gave her a realization that not only was acting superior awesome, but being mean too would just be the cherry on top of the cake.
During her third year's summer, her father had finally confessed to her life that she had already solved, and told her that her mother was really killed this time. And though she kind of had a pure hatred for Andrea, it hit her like a train carrying bricks. She flew quickly into a depression, and her whole attitude changed. She was crazy, and no not the ex-girlfriend crazy, the asylum type of crazy. She often found herself waking up in strange place in or around her manor; she was having night terrors and she was night walking. Only then did she discover forgiveness helped her recover, but still she was crazy.
Her fourth, fifth, and sixth year nothing happened. She was named queen of a ball, and she had gotten into top student ranks. It was quite a surprise, but she still hid her sophistication. She thought if someone would discover how smart she was, it would be a weakness. They would know one of her secrets. Oh, and during these years she had became quite the harlot. She had flinged with multiple other boys from other houses and didn't care what people thought about her, but maybes that's what attracted them to her. Jaida always had a crowd around her at all times, even in the loo. Jaida was completely different - puberty does wonders; she was now the confident, rebellious girl that people followed. It amused her greatly. Her seventh year has been very good for her so far, and she is looking forward to graduation. Upon graduation, she plans to become an author or teacher of DADA at Hogwarts [if possible].
