SIBLINGS: Brittany Lillian Handson; Brittany is Jill's half sister. When Emma married David, she brought Brit into the family from a past marriage that went horribly wrong. Jill is considerably younger than Brittany, and she tried to a make friends with her half sister, but Brit was very evil. She would push Jill into ponds in Winter, bully her. That is, until one day, Jill caught her in a barn with the intern on the farm. Brittany quickly changed her attitude towards Jillian, but Jill still told on her. That resulted in Brit being sent to a boarding school. Jill, till this day, has not seen Brittany. Jill knows that Brit is out, and she knows the Brit probably has immense hatred for her; but she no longer cares about her half sisters opinion.
HISTORY: Jillian Jace Hurley was born on the 15th of December to a family in Russia. Her biological parents were very, very poor. Unable to care for Jill, they sent her to live with a single male in London. David Hurley was a kind, lonely man whom wanted a child to spend his time with. When Jillian came to live with him, she was only a child. He loved her as much as possible; they spent all their time together. Still, he wanted a wife; he wanted a complete family. David started to go on dates when Jill was one years of age. Months went by with David being unsuccessful of finding a spouse, but one night, he was at a coffee shop trying to drowned his doubt with coffee and donuts when he laid on his eyes on Emmalaya Jay Handson. She worked at a local bookstore, and secretly, a witch.
As soon as Jillian saw Emma once her father was confident enough to bring her around, she liked the woman. She knew they were alike in someway. They bonded over the years, but her daughter, Brittany, hated her. Brit despised her for some reason. Jill did not know the cause, but she knew the time for tea was done. One night, Jill followed Brit out to the farm. Peering through the spaced boards that made up the walls, Jill saw Brit having intercourse with the intern on the farm. Not long after that night, Jillian confessed to Brit what she had seen. Knowing she was in deep crap, Brit started to suck up to Jillian. Still, Jillian told Emma on her. Outraged, Emma sent Brit to a boarding school the next year instead of returning to a private school that Emma said was named 'Ms. Rosemary's School for Prim and Proper girls'; it was really called Hogwarts.
The family of three got along well after that incident, and not long after, Jill had started showing signs of being a witch. Instantly knowing what was going on, Emma assisted in hiding them from her muggle father. That was until she had gotten her letter, Emma then helped in the task of explaining things to her skeptical father, David. With months of convincing, her dad finally agreed to let her attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Throughout her school years, she was always that quiet nerd. She was always praised by her teachers for her school work and reports. She was quite the excellent writer, and she got better through the years of her schooling. During her third year, her Potions professor secured her a spot in the school newspaper; that was when it was first being developed. She kept working and working, and soon became the co-editor. Other students were always suggesting things, but she wrote about things that intrigued her. They were mostly gossip stories, mysteries, dramas. She often wrote plays for the entertainment section. By her seventh year, she was the top of her glass literature wise, she had great grades, and a secured position in the Daily Prophet. After graduation, she immediately when into the Daily Prophet staff. She skipped many of the recruit levels and was inducted into the main staff spots.
She lived her parents for two years after graduation, she waited till her career picked up. It was only after she published her debut book that she decided it to move out. For three months after moving out, she went searching for her real parents; she was nineteen at this time. On the third month, she had found out they had died. It didn't hurt her too much, but she still continues to lay flowers on her grave. Upon arriving home, she bought a flat in London and was promoted to Editor in Chief of the Daily Prophet. It was only this past December she turned the age of twenty.
