There's Always a Siren...

Meissa was born to Victor and Lyra Weild one day shy of Halloween just
outside of London in a humble, but charming, home. She was the first of two
children and was immensely spoiled as an infant and child. The neighborhood
where Meissa and her sister grew up was (and still is) exclusively rooted in
magic. Meissa only interacted with pureblood wizards and their children until
the age of eleven and had not met a muggleborn witch or wizard until she came
to Hogwarts.
Naturally, it only makes sense that Meissa is a purist and thinks rather highly of herself. From a young age she was brought up to believe that being completely and utterly magical was the only way to live one's life and that the family line was sacred. To deviate from the ways of her forefathers would be most blasphemous.
Victor Weild was (and still is) incredibly dedicated to his job at the
Ministry of Magic. He was an "Unspeakable" and spent countless hours
slaving away at the Ministry and not nearly enough hours at home with his
children. He scarcely attempted to connect with his daughters at all. You had
better believe that this neglect left some residual issues with Meissa. Some would go as far to say that she has "daddy issues." That's the bluntest and least tactful way to put it, but that sounds about right.
With her cunning and sharp wit, it came as no shock to Meissa when she was
sorted into Slytherin. She welcomed the sorting and even thought it to be a
great honor, as her father had been a Slytherin in his years at Hogwarts, too.
She vainly assumed the connection would bring them closer together. It did
not.

Meissa is a piece of work, to say the very least. She was named for the "shining" star that sits in the head of the constellation Orion, so she considers herself to be incredibly clever and "bright" by nature. She is intelligent, but when it comes to interacting properly with others, she's completely and utterly clueless. She is cunning and has a way of weaving schemes, but what she has in wit she certainly lacks in friendship. As far as Meissa is concerned, there is absolutely nothing wrong with manipulating others so that things so happen to weigh in her favor. "By any means necessary" is her internal mantra and she refuses to deviate from it.
To Meissa, life is a fabulous party and you shan't tell her otherwise. It is very difficult to get her to take anything seriously. You could seize her by the shoulders and shout obscenities in her face to convey the urgency of the situation, and she would still laugh heartily and traipse away. She's just in it to have a good time, even at the expense of others.
But Meissa does not merely use her cleverness for selfish and unkind means. As a Slytherin, she prides herself on being resourceful and indeed can be very creative. In her spirit of merely wanting to have a roaring good time, she can make something splendid out of nothing with a few flicks of her wand and a bottle of firewhiskey. She also offers her, er, "advice" in the subject of divination for anyone who cares to lend her an ear. This is, of course, all folly and flights of fancy--but her predictions and analyses usually sound very convincing. Perhaps there's a drop of Seer blood in there somewhere.
